  1. I dont think using floppy MOVEZ is a problem as long as wrestlers limit themselves to flippy MOVEZ that are used in legitimate combat sports or that could conceivably work in a shoot fight. Also part of the problem is that after performing a flippy MOVE they move too quickly to the next flippy MOVE before it has time to register with the audience. If after performing the flippy MOVE the wrestlers laid around in the ring selling for a while, maybe saying "OW" loudly or grabbing a hold like a bear hug or a good iron claw or something before moving to the next flippy MOVE it could slow down the action better. This would give the fans a chance to sit down and rest for a while or head out for a bathroom break or a smoke or something while the TV announcers can talk about upcoming TBS programming.
  2. I believe Roman suggested to HHH that they do the Rocky III story and Cody said he had never heard of Rocky III. And Hogan said he was going to come back in the Thunderlips role.
  3. "Roman must pose," I guess.
  4. They should have gone full Rocky 3 and have William Regal be Burgess Meredith and they could say he died of a heart attack in the back when they released him. Also, who would be Thunder Lips in this scenario?
  5. I usually do too, but I liked the bit with him in the truck messing with Logan Paul's Mic. I think he works better as kind of a prankster/trickster character than as a whiny heel. It's pretty obvious though since that Wrestlemania commercial that he's just ripping off the Joaquin Phoenix Joker.
  6. Hahahaha WOW I hope he comes back as a regular wrestler and they drop the supernatural stuff.
  7. I like Evil Uno as a wrestler better that as the mouthpiece for an evil cult or as the leader of a comedy stable that does backstage comedy skits.
  8. This week they had The Rock try to get into a locker room brawl with Lars Anderson in 1986 on a Peter Maivia Tribute show in Hawaii which featured Macho Man and Andre the Giant, and Cyndi Lauper sang the national anthem.
  9. Maybe David Manning wants to play David Manning? Didn't he sometimes try to outshine the wrestlers or get too involved with the matches in World Class? Maybe he sees himself as the Texas wrestling version of Audie Murphy?
  10. Oh no. Something in the pit of my stomach says they are going to have a 3 way at Mania, aren't they. This feels like Danielson in the run up to XXX or Mick Foley in the TV build up in 2000.
  11. Quoted to highlight your choice of words as I imagine that we all know who is probably encouraging MJF to keep up the cheap heel heat edginess.
  12. Anybody know what the weather was like and the road conditions? It is winter time. If the road was slippery it may have caused the other vehicle to lose control.
  13. I feel like the show must be near the end anyway. For the adult Rock segments they have gone very quickly from his debut to Summerslam 98, so I am guessing very soon we will jump to him winning the title and then to Main Eventing Wrestlemania. By this point the origin story is pretty much over, he is already The Rock. I mean by this point he is already famous. The only reason I can see them doing another season is to talk about his transition to Hollywood, but how long can he be considered "Young" for? The story is basically told.

I don't really want to see Hook stuck in the tag division, but I can see how you might want to hold back a big singles push until he's had a bit more experience. I don't know if Jungle Boy is the best partner for him though. I would think maybe you would want someone with a bit more experience, but none of the more veteran guys in AEW right now seems like they would be a good fit with Hook right now. Since Adam Cole doesn't seem to be connected to the rest of The Elite right now, or to Kyle O'Reilly, maybe we could see him team up with The Kingdom? That could be fun.
  15. I had hoped that Tommy Dreamer would have also turned heel and teamed up with Bully Ray. They could have been used to put over some younger tag teams. Since The Kingdom and The Good Brothers had left they could use some more star power (relative to other Impact wrestlers) in their tag division.
  16. I bet Dunn and Prichard are pretty happy right now.
  17. I wish during these Christmas street fights they would go the Kendo sticks "Singapore Candy Canes"
  18. Is the NXT crowd representative of the TV audience though? I remember they were cheering Tony D'Angelo when he first showed up too. I feel like they are cheering ironically, or maybe a lot of them are friends of Chase or the members of his group or something. Like I am not sure you can extrapolate the NXT crowd reaction to a main roster arena crowd.

Something weird happened to the audio when Swerve got on the mic. It sounded all echoey for some reason. Also the crowd were shouting something the whole time so I dont know if they were able to hear. Also isn't the cinder block smashing an old carny trick or something? I feel like I have seen something like that before but using a sledgehammer or something instead of coming down off the top rope.
  20. I enjoy the show. I liked the guy who played Mick Foley in the Christmas episode. I mean there is a lot of awful parts but I enjoy some of the characters at times. I don't know why Randall Park has to be so goofy in the future scenes. Those scenes have just gotten worse and worse since the show started which is funny because Rock is the biggest star on there.
  21. According to the link: "Richard Fliehr, a mild-mannered professional wrestler, almost dies in a small twin engine plane on the way to a regional wrestling match. The doctors not only save his life – they rebuild him better than before. Treatment makes him stronger than ever and Fliehr is reborn as Ric Flair aka The Nature Boy, who must now use his wrestling persona as cover while he works to save the world as a secret agent." It sounds like Ric Flair is The Six Million Dollar Man.
  22. I find it funny that the whole time the tournament was branded as the "Smackdown World Cup on FOX" and that's even what the graphic was on the Titantron this week, and the finals happened on FS1.

I was surprised the fans cheered Colt Cabana. I was wondering if there was going to be CM Punk chants like after he left WWE. I'm still wondering if there are going to be CM Punk chants when the Bucks and Omega come back. I really liked both the Darby and Moxley matches. I think Darby has more than just crazy bumps, he is good at generating babyface sympathy.

They just did the fake face turn for both Luchasaurus and Daniel Garcia. I think Tony Khan doesn't like having a clear boundary between heels and faces judging from all the heel vs heel and face vs face matches and how the Death Triangle guys are more like tweeners. I know a lot of people don't believe you can pro wrestling without clear heels and faces, but I don't believe Tony Khan is one of those people. I think he likes his wrestlers to have shades of grey. There was no clear face turn when Danielson joined the Blackpool Combat Club either, and he's not really the smiley babyface he used to be in the past, but not quite a heel anymore either.
  25. Wait, was the door locked and that's why the Bucks kicked it in? Did they knock first and Punk told them to go away? Did they Superkick the door open?
