  1. With WrestleMania on my mind I'm in the mood for some rebooking. I'm going back and rebooking the original WrestleMania. Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Snuka and Mr. T vs Roddy Piper, Paul Orndorff and Cowboy Bob Orton- I really think a 6 man tag would of worked better. Same ending Andre the Giant and Junkyard Dog vs Big John Studd and Ken Patera- great main event tag anywhere in the world. JYD head butts Patera for the win then Andre slams Studd. Greg Valentine © vs Tito Santana- IC Title Bout- Awesome match, Santana wins by DQ so the feud can continue. Bruno Sammartino vs Iron Shiek- Shiek injures David Sammartino badly with chair shots then the camel clutch during a TV main event match. Bruno wants revenge. This would of tore down the Garden. Bruno goes way over. Barry Windham/Mike Rotunda © vs Buddy Rose/Matt Borne- Tag Title Bout- I build up Rose and Borne as a team. They were both great workers in Portland and this could of been a pretty good match up. Champs retain. Lelani Kai w/Moolah © vs Wendi Richter w/Cyndi Lauper- Woman's Title Bout. Same ending Tony Atlas/Ivan Putski vs Magnificent Muraco/Jim Neidhart- Muraco gets the pin on Putski, keeping him strong for his up coming matches against Hogan. King Kong Bundy vs Tony Garea- Same record time but against a former 5 time tag champ. Ricky Steamboat vs Moondog Rex- Showcase for Steamboat Brutus Beefcake vs S.D. Jones- I think S.D. would of done a great job getting Beefcake over here.
  2. Oh man I can't wait for WrestleMania, your card looks amazing! I think I have mentioned to you that Tony Atlas was one of my favorites at the time so I'm really happy he's on the card. I'm sensing a Atlas/Bravo post Mania feud.
  3. Your WrestleMania card looks great! I cant wait to see how it turns out. I was wondering, since you have such a stacked roster is there going to be a battle royal to get all of the wrestlers on the card?

    WWE TV 3/6-3/12

I didn't look at Braun backing away from the Undertaker as him being afraid. I looked at it more as a sign of respect.
  5. I am so looking forward to your WrestleMania card. I have a feeling it's going to be stacked!
  6. 85 is off to a great start. I was a huge fan of Tony Atlas so It's great to see him involved in those main event tag matches. Piper simply calling out Hogan sets the perfect tone. I think the build to WrestleMania will be a good one.
  7. After all the build this card really delivered. Man you did a great job blowing off the feuds. Reading these matches was like being in the Garden live. All the matches were exciting. Piper/Snuka was insane, Savage finally capturing the IC title was a great moment and the Hogan/Bockwinkel match was an epic main event. I could feel the crowd's electricity during this show. Excellent way to end 84 and can't wait for 85.
  8. Great card and very well written. This really felt like an early 80s Starrcade card as every match felt important. I'm a sucker for battle royals and loved this one. It was built up nicely in both promotions and it lived up to the hype. My favorite match was Flair/Backlund in the cage. This truly is a dream match in 80s wrestling and it was very exciting to read. Excellent job!
  9. Wow nice job on Last Stand! That is how to book a supercard. Great twist with all the Von Erich's losing on a huge event...in Texas. The Gordy angle was epic. The Reed/JYD street fight is exactly how I remembered their feud. All four wrestlers in the cage match would of delivered exactly the way you wrote it. What can I say about the 3 way for the world title except incredible. I enjoyed the card from top to bottom. Excellent job!
  10. Yes! Hogan vs Bockwinkel at Madison Square Garden to determine the true world champion. Your build to this feud has been perfect and I have no doubt the blow off will be epic. I think your Brawl for All card is going to be an incredible way to end 1984. Outstanding job!
  11. I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading this every week. I appreciate all the hard work and thought you put into your booking. You're doing an outstanding job. I grew up watching all of these wrestlers. I can't wait for the huge Hogan/Bockwinkle blow off.
  12. Hey everybody, I've been on an AWA kick recently and thought I would try and rebook Wrestlerock 86. The first thing I would do is try and get this card on close circuit so it would be available to a national audience. A lot of talent was available for this show so I'm going to reshuffle some things and hopefully come up with a stacked card. Wrestlerock 86 Stan Hansen © vs Sgt. Slaughter - World Title Steel Cage Match Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody/John Nord Curt Hennig/Scott Hall © vs Freebirds- World Tag Title Bout Nick Bockwinkel vs Harley Race Larry Zbyszko vs Scott LeDoux- Taped Fist Bout Greg Gagne/Wahoo McDaniel/Jimmy Snuka vs Colonel DeBeers/Long Riders Verne Gagne vs Shiek Adnan El Kassey- No DQ Midnight Rockers vs Fabulous Ones Rick Martel vs Tiger Mask Buddy Rose/Doug Sommers vs Mike Rotonda/Barry Windham Kamala vs Buck Zumhofe Brad Rheingans vs Boris Zukhov
  13. Thanks for the comments and I'm a big fan of your podcast. Great question about the War Games match. I have this whole background but didn't have time to go into detail so some of my booking probably didn't make a lot of sense. I figured putting in a lot of the UWF talent in the match would be a good draw for the Superdome. The Rock n Roll Express and Midnight Express were NWA but had a great Mid South feud as well, so I thought mixing them in there with the new UWF guys would be a good blend. It would also give Sting and Rick Steiner a chance to shine with the vets. I feel the 10 men involved were great workers and would of showcased the War Games well to a broader audience. Also for me its a cool visual of the Rock n Roll Express teaming with the Freebirds as well as the Midnights aligning with Hot Stuff Inc. Due to the Mid South ties most of the wrestlers involved had, I feel the crowd would of been hot and I think that would of been important for the pay per view audience to see.
  14. Hey everybody, I feel like doing some rebooking so I'm going to rebook Starrcade 87. I think this was a critical time for the NWA. They were going more national, had purchased the UWF and were now venturing into pay per view. Taking all of that into consideration I want to go all out for this pay per view. I book the show in New Orleans at the Superdome. Going into the event my booking is a little different as I have Ron Garvin going in as TV champ. I also started blending in the UWF talent with the NWA talent right away in order to build up feuds. So here we go, Starrcade 87 Unification World Title Bout Ric Flair (NWA World Champ) w/JJ Dillion vs Dr. Death Steve Williams (UWF Champ) w/Bill Watts War Games Match Rock n Roll Express Freebirds Sting vs Midnight Express Eddie Gilbert Terry Taylor Rick Steiner World Tag Title Bout Tully Blanchard/Arn Anderson© vs The Road Warriors US Title Bout Lex Luger© vs Barry Windham Winner retires the Florida Title in a Bull Rope Match Dusty Rhodes vs Kevin Sullivan Last Man Standing Match Nikita Koloff vs Big Bubba Rogers TV Title Bout Ron Garvin© vs Larry Zybysko w/Baby Doll 25,000$ Bunkhouse Battle Royal Dick Murdoch, Ivan Koloff,, Barbarian, Warlord, Jimmy Valiant, Bugsy McGraw, Shane Douglas, Sheepherders, Ron Simmons, Mike Rotunda, Mighty Wilber Dark Match Lightning Express vs Jive Tones I had fun with this. Feel free to rebook any Starrcade card on here.
  15. I can't tell you how much I love your rebooking podcast. The starrcade 89 and WrestleMania 4 cards were awesome! Keep up the great work. I really hope you do more old school cards from the 80s and early 90s. I like the way you analyze and break it all down. Great job and please keep them coming!
  16. Some great cards on here, I'll try WrestleMania 11, Diesel vs Shawn Michaels- World Title Razor Ramon/Lawrence Taylor vs Jerry Lawler/Jeff Jarrett Undertaker vs Roddy Piper Bret Hart vs Bob Backlund- Steel Cage Smoking Gunns vs Yokozuna/Hakushi- Tag Title Owen Hart vs British Bulldog Lex Luger vs Bam Bam Bigelow 123 Kid/Bob Holly vs Heavenly Bodies Sid wins Battle Royal
  17. Hello. Its funny because I was just thinking about this event. No matter what it was going to be a hostile crowd with the departure of Ric Flair. The show must go on so I think I would of gone with an 8 man tournament to determine the new world champion. I would hope this would at least keep the fans interested and invested. Round 1- Arn Anderson def. Dustin Rhodes Lex Luger def. Dan Spivey Sting and Nikita Koloff go to a wild double countout Barry Windham def. Rick Steiner Semi Finals- Lex Luger def. Arn Anderson Barry Windham advances due to Sting/Nikita double c.o. Finals- Lex Luger def. Barry Windham to win vacated title. I would keep Luger as a face and Windham as a heel. Arn tries to interfere in finals but Luger fights him off and still comes up victorious. I would try to get the fans behind Luger all night by stacking the odds against him. Luger was over and I think he deserved his moment to celebrate with the fans. It would of been a hard fought way for him to win the title and really get the fans behind him. Also on the card, Steve Austin would win the TV title on this card against Bobby Eaton. Ricky Morton/Terry Taylor def. Robert Gibson/Z-Man Ron Simmons wins a Bunkhouse Battle Royal I know the fans would still be upset over Flair leaving but I hope they would at least walk away feeling they got their money's worth.
