  1. I'm with Kev, the Garvin's feud is one of the best in the game right now. RnR vs. The Andersons in Ashville, no doubt would draw a big house. I like pairing Jones with the Nightmares, not sure the Youngblood's would agree. I don't think anybody can escape Wright's octopus hold. Looks like Gilbert has picked up some friends. Kaz vs. Kamala! Bring on more! The NWA is tearing it up!
  2. World at War! The fans are warmed up with a series of dark matches. The European title match really set the tone. WOW! Zenk takes the TV strap from Hayes! Didn't see that coming. I've always thought Zenk was solid, so I'm looking forward to his reign. I'm not sure anyone can stop Spivey right now. Vega takes the Mexican title! It's going to be hell to pay when Konnan gets a hold of the Conquistadors. Good grief! The Twin Towers unify the titles in a brutal way. That was devastating. Jake (and Damien) get put over in a big way. Muta is just too cool and smooth. The world title match delivers but controversy surrounds the finish. I loved all the reactions here. This situation is out of control. Great use of pictures! It really did give a cool visual. The match was everything I thought it would be. Team Rhodes walks out victorious and the fans go home happy. What a night! WCW is rock'n!
  3. Oh man, the fans had a lot to cheer about in Paragould. Great night for the babyfaces. Brandy Mae gets the fans warmed up. Local veteran favorite gets a win. The Renestos have a successful debut, and DJ's back fired interference actually helps the team she's currently managing. Great stuff! Pat Rose is giving Ash quite a chase.

  5. Things got worse for DJ as she finds out she's going to have to wrestle. LOL, this is getting better and better. Dundee gets a nice crowd pleasing win over Terror. Dundee's really making a name for himself here. Well, Tom brought up some valid points and Tim seems to agree. Zebra Kid, show yourself! Tojo dismantles poor Jurgan and looks tuned up and ready for the tag series. Big loop coming up for IPW.
  6. Bock brings more intrigue to the big world title bout. Just what's going on here? Both sides pump up the War Games match and I'm sure more tickets were sold. Looking forward to the Rockers/Towers match. I have a feeling Herc might be a factor. Jake's promos are so cryptic and menacing. Can't wait to see what he does in WCW. The fans must've been wondering what they were watching in the Luchadors match LOL. That was some great entertainment. The International storylines are bringing a new edge to the States. I really hope the Japanese and Luchadors cross paths. Zenk pins the TV champ, no doubt giving him a confidence boost in their upcoming title match. However, don't count Hayes out. Bring on World at War!
  7. Having Manny in the corner is a game changer for Vader. Maybe now he can be 100% focused on Luger. Dibiase gives his reasons on why Adnan wanted him and not Williams. However, I think Williams made the stronger case and backed it up in the ring tonight. You have made Snowman one of the most talked about wrestlers in the game. He cut one heck of a promo and even Reed took some time to ponder his words. Well, Woman wasn't exactly wrong about Vader. One thing's for sure, Vader will get the chance to prove himself once and for all against Luger. I can't wait for the Steiners vs. Hot Stuff match. This feud has been built up so well. Ladd gives the wrestlers and fans what they want. We're in for a great show on June 3rd. Hansen gets the big win over Nord and that's good momentum heading into the tag match. I agree with Ladd's logic. It's always easy to end with a big brawl, but you don't want too much overkill.
  8. Seattle Showdown, let's do this! Fuchi has a solid return, but the Demon racks up another impressive win. Damn good finish for Hashimoto. Footloose keeps on rolling as they pick up a great win over the always game Malenkos. Anvil is rough but clean. I wonder if Burke will try and recruit Anvil. Dustin evens things up with a Bearer less Payne. No doubt about it, the Holly's made the right move aligning with the Diamond Exchange. After a rock'n feud, the Midnights finally put a stamp on the Destruction Crew. What a match! Flowers retains, but Regal proves himself as a solo. Wild Things prove who the real heels are. I think they're going to have one hell've a reign. Once again, you've elevated the LHW division like no other. Christopher proved he can hang, but man Cheetah is on an entirely different level. Night 2. Brookside's story is one of my favorites going on. He's in the beginning stages of a serious heel run. Hall and Lee could be trouble for the stacked tag division. Taker gets spotlight win, but Pillman proves he can hang with the big boys. Miller's return is spoiled by St. Clair. There's a reason he's called tough. Snow rebounds quick by adding Pug. Unfortunately, they faced the Blood Syndicate. After that wild brawl, there will be more to come. Well, if you're going to put on weight, use it to your advantage. Gotta love Rose. Hennig gets payback on Backlund. I have a feeling Backlund's going to seriously snap. OOOHHH, maybe Backlund should give Brookside a call. FOJ have to be disappointed with that result. Rematch! Perez was getting over with his submission game and held his own against Severn. However, Severn is in a submission league of his own. Windham and Hart end the night with a classic. I would expect nothing less from these two greats. Windham is in his prime and it's going to be hard taking the title off him. PCW once again delivers.

Commercial Break Scott 'Powerhouse' Putski and Synergy vs. Cannonball Griz and The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin The match starts off with a pier six brawl. The Ref gets order and the next few minutes is back and forth action. Synergy and the Midnights go back and forth with hot tag action. Putski and Griz go at it with fists flying. Eventually another pier six brawl breaks out. The Ref is trying to break up Synergy and the Midnights. Putski is all over Griz, when Norvell hops on the apron. Putski goes towards him, but Norvell throws powder into his eyes. This allows Griz to grab Putski and powerslam him over. The Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Commercial Break AWA National Tag Team Champs Venomous vs. Neil Jordan and Rex Manning The champs look great tonight. Cobra hits a snap suplex on Jordan as Kat follows with a frog splash for the win. Venomous cut a promo and say they've really hit their stride and are ready for all challengers. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, this weekend at the St. Paul Civic Center, the AWA brings its annual Memorial Day Tournament. 8 men will compete for a shot at the AWA world title at this year's WrestleRock. The men competing will be Nikita Koloff, Dream Machine, Carlos Colon, Chicky Starr, El Canek, Crusher Blackwell, Tatsumi Fujinami and Mid-American Champ Larry Zbyszko. Along with the tournament, you'll see 2 big title matches. The Guerreros will defend the world tag titles against the Fortunate Ones. And, Bad News Brown will defend the AWA world title against none other than Dick the Bruiser. We heard the strong comments from Bad News Brown last week. Let's see a special video of Dick the Bruiser. Johnny Cash's 'The Man comes around' plays as highlights from Bruiser's illustrious career is shown. Commercial Break AWA TV Title Bout Brian Adias (C) vs. Pat Tanaka w/Paul Diamond The early moments are back and forth. Adias grabs Tanaka and gives him an airplane spin, but as he's spinning him, Diamond gets on the apron and grabs Tanaka's legs to stop the momentum. Both men crash down as Diamond denies everything to the Ref. Adias slowly rises as Tanaka nails him with a Karate kick to the head. Tanaka picks up Adias and hits a gut wrench suplex, then follows with a bridging back suplex 1..2..Adias gets his shoulder up. Tanaka swings Adias to the ropes and hits him with a flying forearm blast 1..2..Kick Out. Both Tanaka and Diamond yell at the Ref. Adias swings Tanaka to the ropes and back drops him. Diamond gets on the apron but Adias dropkicks him off. Tanaka slowly rises as Adias grabs him and executes a cradle suplex 1..2..3! Adias retains! Adias celebrates with the fans, then exits. Badd Co. are in the ring looking pretty down. There's a commotion as BABY DOLL comes out. She gets in the ring and talks with Badd Co. After a minute, they all walk out together. Commercial Break 'Big Guy' Duke Myers vs. Clinton Stitch Myers looks rough and tough as he finishes things off with a rib breaker. Nelson: Duke Myers, it's been a couple years since we've seen you. What brings you back to the AWA? Before he can speak, Greg Gagne strolls out. Gagne: Well, well, well, look who's back. Been awhile Duker. The last time I saw you was when you failed me as a bodyguard and left me at the mercy of my enemies. So, what? You're back here begging for your old job back? Well, I got news for you, I already have some muscle and he won't ever let me down, unlike you. As a matter of fact, let me introduce you to him. WHAM! Duke is leveled from behind by TONY ATLAS. 10. Alright! Looks like I'm going to get my Buffalo Soldiers/Stud Stable feud. Ron Garvin puts both Jimmy Jam and Tully on notice. I wouldn't mess with a determined Garvin. The Lawmen, I like it. I've always been a big fan of Cooley and it's great to see Jaggers and Travis involved in a cool faction like this. Arn always did have the best spinebuster. Good to see the Pitbull back. The powerbomb is a fitting finisher for him. Man, it's great seeing Super D here and with Jones. The Chiefs give the fans a hard hitting main event. Wahoo wins this battle but I'm sure Lightfoot will want another fight. Both these guys have something to sink their teeth into. Worldwide is a great showcase show. It really is a good way to keep everybody in the spotlight. Love the bar scene. I miss these days when vignettes would get wrestlers over before their debuts.
  11. First off, the magazine covers are so damn cool. Brings a lot of realism to our game. Keep them coming brother! Dark Journey just couldn't help herself LOL. The one line said everything in the Weiss vs. Plowboy match up. If I was there live, I would've loved every bit of the Rose/Knighton angle/match. This was great stuff and the pay off was well worth it. No matter how many times Reno and Wolf go at it with Tojo and Headhunter, it always seems fresh. I still can't call who's going to win the series. This is what keeps the fans coming.
  12. LOL, poor DJ. She's just not cut out to be a farmer. I wonder what Bruno and Dundee have in mind for her next gig. Cuban Assassin gets the heat, but the American saves the day. Can't go wrong with a feud like this. Tojo and Headhunter now have an advantage after that sneak attack. Nice angle with Rose commentating during the Ash match. I know the fans were out of their seats when Ash nearly took a pin. I'm enjoying this feud.
  13. World at War gets all the hype tonight and I'm sure will have no problem selling out. Ok, Hart's stable now has some serious muscle with Crush. The International flavor is all around WCW. Literally something for everyone. Spivey might've had the promo of the night and is really breaking through. Hayes is working that TV title baby! Roma is a guy who I thought should've had bigger pushes. Hopefully he gets a chance to excel here. I'm very interested in seeing what Jake does. The War Games has been built up so well, especially with Rhodes and Race heading things up. Steamboat vs. Savage is the one I'm waiting for. I have a feeling something huge is going to happen.
  14. AWA @ The Brown County Arena, Ashwaubenon WI 5-21-88 'Crippler' Rip Oliver defeated a local talent with the piledriver The Harris Brothers defeated Gene Ligon and Salvatore Bellomo with a double chokeslam on Ligon The Ultimate Warrior defeated Paul Diamond- Diamond's partner Tanaka was on the apron when Warrior swung Diamond into him. Warrior then pressed Diamond up, dropped him and followed with a body splash for the exciting win. Kokina w/Abudda Iaukea defeated Scott 'Powerhouse' Putski- Putski put his strength to good use and had Kokina reeling several times until he was tripped by Iaukea, which caused Putski to stumble into a Samoan Drop. The Gunslingers vs. Unhinged Outlaws was ruled a No Contest when both teams brawled before the bell rang and kept fighting throughout the arena. 'The Man of Steel' Tony Atlas w/Greg Gagne defeated 'The Wild One' Johnny Rich- Rich took Atlas to the limits with his southern fighting style until a distraction from Gagne allowed Atlas to grab Rich from behind and execute a bridging back suplex for the win. 8-Man Tag Team -2 out of 3 falls Match Nikita Koloff/Carlos Colon/El Canek and Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Chicky Starr/Dream Machine/Crusher Blackwell and AWA Mid-American Champ Larry Zbyszko w/Greg Gagne Fall 1- Crusher Blackwell pinned El Canek with a big splash after Gagne (from the apron) hit Canek in the back of his head with Zbyszko's nun chucks. Fall 2- Nikita Koloff pinned Larry Zbyszko- Gagne tried to use the nun chucks again, but a groggy Canek punched Gagne off the apron. A pier six brawl broke out and Zbyszko turned around just in time to catch a Russian Sickle. Fall 3- Ended in a wild double DQ.
  15. Oh yea! Terry Gordy has arrived! I think Budro's reign might be in trouble. I'm really looking forward to Gordy's impact here. I love how things can get started by a simple look. Can't wait to watch this Street/Rogers situation unfold. The tag title tournament is getting serious attention. Once again, poor Dutch has to prove himself. The Russians proved to me they belong in the tournament. I hope Jerry comes around and allows Wright's team in. I mean if you can't trust Wright, who can you trust? Slater gets a rematch with Budro, but his issues with Rich might get in the way. Dundee and Keirn might be the tournament favorites. Unless Dutch can sidetrack them. Jarrett proves he's one tough kid and Slater might be totally focused on Landel after all.
  16. Anvil has enough and leaves Backlund hanging. Sunshine has herself quite the stable. One thing I'm looking forward to is Haynes vs. Singh! Everyone takes notice of a stretcher job. The Blood Syndicate are for real. Brookside is unraveling while the Hollys seem to be moving up. Hitman is rebounding from his TV title loss really well. LA, The Demon racks up another win. I wonder what's going on in Cactus's head. In a battle of ring vets, Burke pulls it out. Young Dustin is earning his stripes. Rose is so great. He'll pull out a tainted win but always makes his opponent look strong. Payne takes the fall and his partners give him the cold shoulder. Beast vs Animal in a cage! Hell yea! I would've paid top dollar to see this match. Beast blows off one hard hitting feud. Santa Barbara, Multiple roll ups are always a fun way to end a LHW match. Nobody gets up from the monster mash! You can never go wrong with a Pillman/Eddie match. Footloose are getting over quick. Flowers is defiantly a diamond in Pacific. Cheetah Kid retains against Barr in yet another classic LHW title main event. Your supercards never disappoint. Can't wait for Seattle. Also looking forward to who you're putting together as the Stormfront. .
  17. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 5-19-88 Highlights from Title Night are shown including The Guerreros defeating DJ Peterson and Kevin Kelly for the AWA world tag titles. Afterwards, Kelly and Vin Man attack Peterson. Adias, Venomous and Zbyszko all retain their titles. The last image is Bad News Brown holding up his fist and the world title. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight's names drawn for the TV title contender's match are Pat Tanaka and Johnny Mantell. Those two will wrestle tonight with the winner getting a TV title shot next week. AWA World champ Bad News Brown will be here. Big tag team match as Synergy takes on the Original Midnight Express. We'll also be giving you the first round match ups in the Memorial Day Tournament. Speaking of Memorial Day... Boos as Brenda Britton walks out. Brenda: I'll take it from here Larry, so beat it. Nelson rolls his eyes and exits. Britton: Hi everybody! Please welcome out the best AWA C.O.O. ever, Gerry Morrow! Morrow walks out in his white suit, fedora hat and sunglasses. He smiles and kisses Brenda's hand. Britton: Oh Gerry, you're such a gentleman. Ok, so I understand you have some big announcements regarding Memorial Day? Morrow: Thank you so much Brenda, it is always my pleasure. I'll get right to it. Congratulations to Hector and Chavo Guerrero on winning de AWA world tag team titles. Very well done. Now as you remember, I promised Greg Gagne his Fortunate Ones would get a title shot. Dat will happen at Memorial Day. Britton: Wow! That's going to be an intense match. Now Gerry, I also know you have big news regarding the AWA world title. Morrow: HAHAHAHA! I do indeed. A lot of people are aware that there's an Independent Wrestling promotion in Minneapolis called Pro Wrestling America. Dat is run by Eddie Sharkey. Well Mr. Sharkey invited me to an event dat took place 2 days after I got back from Alaska. At dat event, there was a battle royal. Well, I decided to have some fun and put up some stakes in de battle royal. I told Mr. Sharkey dat whoever wins de battle royal would get an AWA world title shot on Memorial Day in St. Paul. Britton: No way! That is brilliant! So who won? Morrow: You won't believe it but none other than Dick de Bruiser. Britton: How about that! Well, I would certainly call him a legend and I know the fans in Minnesota love that guy. Morrow: HAHAHA! They sure do! Hey, as long as I am de C.O.O. I promise to bring some fun to de AWA. So, on Memorial Day, Bad News Brown will defend de AWA world title against Dick de Bruiser. Can you believe dat? Britton: (smiling while shaking her head) There you have it straight from the AWA C.O.O. Anything can happen and Gerry proved that once again. Until we meet again, toooooodles! 1st Round Match ups for the Memorial Day Tournament-Winner gets a World title shot at WrestleRock Carlos Colon vs. Chicky Starr AWA Mid-American Champ Larry Zbyszko vs. Tatsumi Fujinami El Canek w/Mando Guerrero vs. Crusher Blackwell w/Greg Gagne Nikita Koloff vs. Dream Machine Commercial Break El Canek w/Mando Guerrero vs. Chuck Doogan Canek suplexes Doogan, then goes to the top rope and crashes down with a flying leg drop for the win. Mando's excited as he cuts a promo congratulating Chavo and Hector on their world tag titles win, then says Canek is ready for the tournament and Blackwell. Mando promises to keep Gagne in his place. Commercial Break Footage from Title Night is shown as Lanny Poffo once again interferes and costs Austin Idol his chance at the Mid American title. 'Luscious' Lanny Poffo vs. Trent Watkins Poffo's antics gets him a lot of heat as he skips and prances around the ring. Poffo gets down to business and wins the match with an exciting moonsault. Nelson: Lanny Poffo! Just what is your deal with Austin Idol? Why can't you confront him face to face? Poffo: Lawrence, you're such a simpleton. I have addressed this with you before and do not have time to explain it again. I am here every week and that pretty boy Idol will not confront me. He is the coward. He is afraid to get in the ring with a real wrestler, a real man. I will not leave this alone until that spineless coward is gone! Nelson: Well, you're going to get your wish. Next week it will be you and Austin Idol, one on one. Poffo: (shocked look) What! I did not authorize this! Nelson: Well, it's going to happen. A commercial cuts as Poffo argues with Nelson. Commercial Break Synergy vs. The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin Fun seesaw battle as both teams show off their chemistry well. Synergy excites the fans with some high octane offense and high flying stereo moves. Midnights cut things off and put their teamwork skills to work. They hit a few double team maneuvers of their own. Things go back and forth for a few more minutes until the 10 minute time limit expires. After the match, tempers flare and both teams get into a shoving match. Norvell gets in there but Synergy punch him down and start hammering away on the Midnights. CANNONBALL GRIZ hits the ring but before he can do any damage, SCOTT PUTSKI slides in and all hell breaks loose as a pier six brawl goes into the commercial break. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness, things got pretty crazy. (deep breath) Joining me now is Greg Gagne. Gagne: You better work on your introductions nerd. Think about that while I talk. Gagne's Gang is on the roll of a lifetime. We've got the muscle in Tony Atlas, who by the way sent Billy Jackass packing. My Fortunate Ones are going to end the Guerreros short and pathetic world tag title run, and of course Crusher Blackwell is going to mow over the competition at the Memorial Day Tournament, starting with that masked moron Canek, who I can't stand. Cheers as Nick Busick comes out. Gagne: Well, what a surprise. If you're looking for a job, Gagne's Gang is all booked up. Busick: Shut up gutless! Last year, Billy Jack Strong and I went through hell beating each other up. What came out of that was mutual respect. He stood up for me and was there for me. He didn't deserve what happened to him. I can tell you this Gagne, if I was here last week, that wouldn't have happened. I'll make this simple. I want you in the ring! Big Pop Gagne: Let me get this straight. You want a match with me? Busick: You heard me just fine. Either you accept or I'll drag you into that ring right now! Another Big Pop Gagne: You've got guts kid. However, I think you have bigger things to worry about. WHAM! Kokina nails Busick from behind! Abbuda Iaukea starts hitting Busick with a kendo stick. Gagne smiles and walks away. Kokina picks up Busick and belly to belly suplexes him on the concrete! Kokina backs up and hits a running splash on Busick! Busick's laid out on the concrete. Kokina puts his foot on Busick's chest as Iaukea raises his arm. Commercial Break Chicky Starr vs. Arnie Goldstein Chicky wins the match with his corkscrew elbow drop. Nelson: Chicky Starr, at the Memorial Day Tournament, you'll be facing Carlos Colon in the 1st round. Starr: (smiling) Carlos! Carlos! Carlos! My old amigo Carlos. AHHHHHHH we meet again after all this time. It will be like old times when I beat you once again Carlos. (smiles) I've been waiting a long time for this day. Commercial Break Footage from Title Night is shown as Kevin Kelly clamps a full nelson on DJ Peterson and slams him down face first into a chair. Nelson: Joining me now is the Vin Man and former AWA world tag team champion Kevin Kelly. Kelly: Don't push my buttons Larry, or you're going to get worse than what Peterson got! Vin: Larbo, you hit a sore spot. Come on, what's with you? I thought we were pals. We had it all! We were champions! And then that stupid dope of a dummy, DJ Peterson had to go and ruin everything! I bought the man a shirt and everything. Even after all that bad history, Kevbo and myself were willing to make this work. But NOOOOOOO, DJ just had to get all ethical on us. Look where that got him. Listen up Peterson! You blew it and we'll never ever forgive you! Once you heal up that ugly face of yours, come on back, so Kevbo can finish the job. Kelly: Bring it on Peterson! I'm going to crush your face...again! As Kelly and Vinnie walk off, Dream Machine runs out. Dream: I did it! I'm in the tournament babay! I can't be beat! I won't be beat! I'm going all the way to the world title babay! Commercial Break AWA World Tag Team Champs Hector and Chavo Guerrero w/Mando vs. Sam Smith and Neil Jordan The fans give the new champs a standing ovation. The Guerreros are on fire tonight. They hoist Jordan on the turnbuckles and execute a double back suplex for the win. Nelson: Let me officially congratulate the new AWA world tag team champs Hector and Chavo Guerrero. Hector: Thank you very much Larry. What an unbelievable feeling. Chavo: Exactly right! We're looking forward to defending these here titles against all comers and that starts with you Fortunate Ones! Gagne, if you stick your nose in our business, we've got Mando in our corner. The fans cheer as the Guerreros smile and hold up the tag titles. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV title shot next week Pat Tanaka vs. Johnny Mantell The Ref allows partners Paul Diamond and Scott Casey to remain but gives them stern warnings. Mantell starts strong with hip tosses, arm drags and dropkicks. Tanaka turns the tide with a flying spin kick and works over Mantell with karate kicks, thrusts and nerve holds. Mantell fires back with roundhouse punches, clotheslines and slams. Diamond tries to get involved but Casey runs over and punches away. The Ref is distracted by this fight on the outside. The UNHINGED OUTLAWS hit the ring and double clothesline Mantell with a bull rope! Outlaws run out. Tanaka rolls over and covers as the Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3! Pat Tanaka gets a TV title shot. Commercial Break Nelson: The Unhinged Outlaws better be on high alert because I know the Gunslingers will be looking for a showdown. Fans. at the top of the program you heard the major announcement by Gerry Morrow. On Memorial Day, Bad News Brown will be defending the AWA world title against Dick the Bruiser. I grew up watching Bruiser and I have to admit I'm ecstatic about this. Bruiser sent us some taped comments, let's hear them now. Bruiser: It's been a long time since I had an opportunity like this. I may be a bit older and have a few more miles on me, but I promise you this Bad News Brown, I've got a fight left in me and you've got a fight coming! See you on Memorial Day! Back live Nelson: On that note, joining me now is the AWA world champion, Bad News Brown. Brown looks like a million bucks as he comes out wearing his buttoned down shirt with gold chains and world title on his shoulder. Nelson: Bad News, you recently defended that world title in Alaska against a game Rip Oliver. Now I'm sure you're as shocked as we all are, because from out of nowhere you'll be defending your title against Dick the Bruiser. Brown: (pauses) Is this a joke? I can't believe this is even happening. Dick the Bruiser? Really? I mean maybe if this were 1968, I can see it being somewhat of a legit match. But come on! Is that old washed up has been delusional or something? Is everybody in on this joke except me? (pauses) Well, it looks like I'm going to have to make an example out of that poor old fool. It looks like I'm going to have to send a strong message to anybody else who wants to get in the ring with Bad News Brown. Dick the Bruiser, come Memorial Day, I'm going to give you the worst beating you've ever had. I'm going to pound, pummel and put a hurt'n on you like you've never imagined! You all wanna have fun? I'm sure as hell gonna have fun bloodying up Father Time. After I get done with him, everybody's gonna know why he's called Bruiser. And believe me, that's some serious bad news for him! The show ends with Brown holding his fist and title in the air.
  18. Right off the bat, the Mastermind earns his money. Hopefully we get more of Brickhouse feuding with the Stud Stable. Jones rebounds quickly by bringing in Kamala! You're great at booking monsters, so I'm looking forward to what Kamala does here. Sheepherders vs. SPC is a fun and wild match up. Sheepherders ruthlessness gave them the edge. Hack Sawyer could get a career boost here. I think he could do well as a heel. Mighty bold statement from Taylor. Another great TV main event. Debeers gets the fall, but I was pretty impressed with Morgan. Solid house shows. I'm a fan of Jaggers and Cooley, so it's always great seeing them pick up wins. Hack beating Pride, makes me think he's going to be a heel. Ronnie wins this round over Jimmy Jam. Morgan holds his own with Brody. Again, impressive. Fuller got lucky. Think of the pop Kaz is going to get if he does get to powerslam him. Jaggers, Travis and Cooley come up short against the Trinity, but damn, they make a solid trio. Jones is a very smart man acquiring the services of Super D. Mastermind strikes again. Tully vs. Ron Garvin can pack a house. Jimmy Jam ruins things which no doubt adds even more heat to this family feud. Like others have said, you've done an amazing job establishing the pecking order here. I'm really enjoying the feuds you have going on. My favorite is the Garvin family feud. It's a great story.
  19. Damn, rough night for Lance. He gets a visual from Terry, then gets an earful from all the heels LOL. Our world seems a little better when Budro's holding a title. Nice way to hype the tag tournament. Can't wait to see who's coming in. Wright is gold. I laughed at the scene of DWB and Dutch helping him into his wheelchair. It seems he has big plans. I can only hope that he gets enough money for his multiple surgeries. Slater gives the promo of a lifetime. Tommy's in a bad predicament. He can fight Slater or run for the rest of his life looking over his shoulder. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks! Great way to keep heat on Dutch and Douglas by having Dutch play chicken the entire match, only to sneak the pin at the end. This is textbook booking on keeping a storyline fresh. Now the fans will pay top dollar to see Douglas give Dutch his comeuppance. I will say this, after this feud, Douglas is going places.
  20. Oh man, it's going to be a long 90 days for DJ, but a very entertaining 90 days for the fans. Renesto Jr. has got nothing but teaming with his brother on the mind. Maybe he'll have to help take care of Zebra Kid. Brandie Mae will fit in just fine. Rip made the right decision in letting Reno/Wolf-Tojo/Headhunter go all out for the tag straps. Tojo can't help himself with that kendo stick and now his team is down 1.
  21. War Games is coming!!!!! WCW continues to bring in the International stars. The Luchadores have a great story going on, while the Japanese are putting their pieces together. I'm enjoying both segments. I really hope they cross paths someday. Z-Man gets a TV title shot, but is he ready to walk down Bad Street? Spivey is coming on strong. The Rockers will get a fight, no doubt about it. The Road Warriors are back and the War Games is set! This is going to be epic! I loved the Savage/Steamboat build. Savage is coming off a bit unhinged and I can't wait to see where this goes. Steamboat is truly a man of his word. The stage is set for World at War.
  22. AWA picks up Duke Myers. AWA would like to book Dick the Bruiser for a TV promo and Memorial Day.
  23. It's great to see our game bringing in so much Japanese talent. Smart move by Burke. Backlund's snapping and the Force takes advantage. Anvil might snap on Backlund. Hmmmmm, who is the Hangman? Very familiar indeed. Hall seems to be back on track. Yes! So happy to see Yoshi back! I wouldn't want to face a team known as Blood Syndicate. Holly Cousins looking to get in the mix. Aligning with the Diamond Exchange is a smart career move. Cow Palace, Christopher keeps racking up wins and might just win himself the LHW title. Monster Mash, what a great finisher name. Genius! I imagine a lot of Death Sentences matches will end in chaos. However, a team like the Southern Boys are always up for a fight. Cactus got a taste of Hashimoto. Furnas and FOJ send a strong message to the title holders. Windham is thrown off guard by Pillman's tenacity and ends things abruptly. Pillman proved he should get a rematch. Fresno, Never sign to face Anvil in Fresno. Since his loss to Taker, Lee has rebounded well. Perez has found new life with his submission holds. Eddie knows how to keep the titles. Another guy looking to get back on track is Hennig. He's on the right path. Oh no, Brookshire's temper is rising again. Seattle Showdown is stacked! Look at that, game favorites FOJ get their long awaited title shot. OH YEA!
  24. The fans get disappointing news as Herc. Ellering and Jake are gone. I will say, they all had great runs here. The Dibiase/Jake feud will go down as one of the year's best in our game. It's official. Ladd oks Reed vs. Snowman. Be careful what you wish for, Snowman. Hot Stuff Inc. is running high again with the addition of Tatum and Victory. They seem to be obedient, unlike that ingrate Steiner LOL. Unlike Hot Stuff Inc. Woman's faction splits up as Luger gives Vader a beating. This could be Vader's big break out. Texas Outlaws are going after the Barbarians as Dr. Death has his sights on Dibiase. Looks like the next programs are set. The Steiners are getting closer to teaming up. Our world is about to change. Great ending as the faces get the upper hand and send a strong message to the heels. I like the direction you're heading.
  25. AWA Title Night @ The Sullivan Arena, Anchorage Alaska 5-13-88 Ken Resnick: Greetings from Alaska and welcome to Title Night! This sell out crowd is ready for action and I know the viewers are too, so let's get to it! The Ultimate Warrior vs. United Kingdom's Dave Taylor The night starts with a bang as Warrior gets this crowd fired up with an onslaught on Taylor. A few minutes in and Taylor finally gains some momentum. Taylor puts his British wrestling skills to work and also batters Warrior with European uppercuts and forearm blasts. Taylor hits a gut wrench suplex followed by a backbreaker but can't put Warrior away. Taylor gets a near fall when he nailed Warrior with his brutal spinning forearm blast, but Warrior survived. The tide turns when Taylor misses a clothesline and Warrior swings back and clotheslines Taylor down. Warrior goes nuts with slams, clotheslines and punches, then hits a flying shoulder block. Warrior presses up Taylor, drops him, swings off the ropes and hits the splash for the 1..2..3! AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Venomous (C) vs. The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin At the last Title Night, the Midnights left Venomous laid out after hitting double DDTs onto chairs. Venomous hasn't forgot. The opening minutes is all Venomous as they throw the Midnights off their game with high flying offense and several stereo moves. After a few minutes of this, Norvell gets desperate and hops on the apron to distract Cobra, which allows Condrey to nail Cobra with a high knee to the back. Midnights get their groove back and execute superb tag team skills, scoring several near falls. Cobra eventually gets the hot tag. Kat cleans house with dropkicks, hip tosses and flying head scissors. Midnights stop the momentum when Rose clips Kat from behind as Condrey follows with a jumping knee drop. Midnights show off more tag team skills with several double team maneuvers, illegal tags and interference from Norvell. Midnights stay in control until Cobra has enough of their (and Norvell's) cheating. All 4 men end up going at it. Norvell hops on the apron but gets dropkicked off. Venomous backdrop Condrey over the top rope. Cobra hits a snap suplex on Rose as Kat follows with a senton for the 1..2..3! Winners of the Match and still AWA National Tag Team Champs- Venomous AWA TV Title Bout Brian Adias (C) vs. Cannonball Griz w/ Norvell Austin Norvell must be reeling because he's not out here. Adias uses his speed and quickness to stagger Griz and keep him off his game. That comes to an abrupt end when Griz catches Adias attempting a flying press and slams him straight down. Griz uses his size advantage to pummel Adias. Griz works him over with clubbing shots, slams, clotheslines and stomps. Griz swings Adias to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash, then follows with a big elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Griz swings Adias to the corner and charges in with an avalanche, but Adias moves. Adias fires up and pounds away on Griz, swings him to the ropes and nails him with a high dropkick. Griz regroups and goes to work on Adias while Norvell cheers him on. Griz swings Adias into the corner and follows with a running back elbow smash. Griz swings Adias to the opposite corner but Adias hops on the turnbuckles and launches back with a reverse flying press 1..2..3! Big Pop!
