  1. Momo is my Stardom favorite, I won't lie.
  2. Yeah, maybe I could've cut some time in that match but I thought with enough stalling, rest holds and the shenanigans from Bad News Allen, it could still work.
  3. Man, it feels so weird to see Buddy Rose wrestle Doug Somers when I've been used to see them wrestle as a tag team. But you're pulling off his character very well, good job. Looking forward to see who Sir Oliver Humperdink is bringing out for the US title!
  4. Solid card in Hamilton! Looks like karma is slowly biting Arab & Fuji in the butt after the stunt they pulled in Stampede!
  5. NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FEBRUARY 28TH, 1981 EDMONTON, AB FIRST ROUND MATCHUPS The Great Kabuki beat TG Stone The Crusher beat Herodes Rip Morgan beat The Dynamite Kid British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart beat Steve Strong Jim Neidhart beat "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers "Honky Tonk" Wayne Farris fight "Dirty" Dutch Mantel to a 15-minute time limit draw Bret Hart beat "Psycho" Perry Reid Makhan Singh (w/JR Foley) fight Chief Jay Strongbow to a 15-minute time limit draw Both Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart go straight to the semi-finals Non-Tournament Match: Terry Taylor beat El Bracero in 8:01 Quarter-Final Matches The Great Kabuki beat The Crusher British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart beat Rip Morgan by DQ Non Tournament Match: Davey Boy Smith beat Dean Ho in 15:47 Semi-Final Matches The Great Kabuki beat British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart Bret Hart beat Jim Neidhart Non-Tournament Match: The Memphis Express (The Dream Machine & Plowboy Frazier) beat Sid Cooper & Mr. X in 8:01 North American Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals: The Great Kabuki beat Bret Hart in 52:40 when a masked man wearing a trenchcoat with The Dream Machine mask interfered and knocked out Bret Hart cold with a roll of quarters, allowing Kabuki to make the cover. As the thing unfolded, Stu Hart came out to award Bret the title, given the stipulation of no Memphis Express member allowed ringside for the match to interfere but Stu was in for a major shock when the man removed his mask: IT WAS BAD NEWS ALLEN! BAD NEWS ALLEN MADE TRUE ON HIS PROMISE TO GET REVENGE ON THE HART FAMILY! The crowd boos mercilessly as The Memphis Express and Percival Pringle III come out to celebrate with The Great Kabuki as Bad News Allen leaves through the Edmonton crowd. What will Bad News Allen do next???
  6. Oh really? Didn't know that!
  7. Man, those International tag title belts are gorgeous. My money is on Abdullah & The Sheik
  8. Got something fun planned for Makhan Singh so glad to see he has some supporters here!
  9. I'm like the least surprised person that Cowboy Bob Orton was one of those trying to cash in on the bounties on the Briscos. I wouldn't have expected anything less from Ace! Looking forward to next week's show; some serious quality tag matches!
  10. Stampede Wrestling would like to book Les Thornton for 3/3, please
  11. The way I interpret the dynamics between the Bucks & the Good Brothers, it seems like the Good Brothers are acting like Omega, the Bucks & and themselves are all still one big happy family. We all know this will eventually lead to a Bucks vs Good Brothers match (probably at Double or Nothing in May). Surprised that no one actually noticed Shaq paying tribute to Mr. Brodie Lee during the opening match tonight.
  12. She pretty much wrote that in character is how I saw it.
  13. Sometimes, less than 12 minutes is what you need for a violent bloodbath. Especially if you got Patera and Piper involved in them!
  14. BREAKING NEWS NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT TO TAKE PLACE ON FEBRUARY 28TH! In an unexpected turn of events, Stampede promoter Stu Hart has decided to move forward with the tournament to crown the North American Heavyweight Champion from the end of March to February 28th as 16 men will vie for the vacant title in a one-night tournament. Stu Hart has released the first round brackets and they go as such: TG Stone vs The Great Kabuki The Crusher vs Herodes Rip Morgan vs Dynamite Kid British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart vs Steve Strong Jim Neidhart vs "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers "Honky Tonk Man" Wayne Farris vs "Dirty" Dutch Mantell Bret Hart vs "Psycho" Perry Reid Makhan Singh vs Chief Jay Strongbow The word going around is that Bad News Allen was absolutely irate to learn that he has been left out of the tournament and made his intention clear that Stu Hart will regret leaving him out of this tournament. Stu Hart has also made effective the rule that all members of The Memphis Express not involved in the North American Heavyweight tournament are banned from ringside. It's in this optic that The Dream Machine & Plowboy Frazier will be competing in non-tournament action (see non-tournament matches below). In the meantime, Stu Hart also announced the following non-tournament matches to take place: -Jose Martinez vs Sid Cooper -Davey Boy Smith vs Dean Ho -The Fantastic Ones vs The Dream Machine & Plowboy Frazier of the Memphis Express Who will be crowned North American Heavyweight Champion? Join us on February 28th to find out!
  15. Stampede Wrestling signs Ray Candy
  16. If this trend continues, maybe Vince will think twice about taking the title from Lashley to put it back on Drew at Wrestlemania.
  17. I've seen some wrestlers like Big Swole and Cheeseburger tweeting that the whole thing isn't happening. This isn't apparently the first time they're trying to do this show and ends up being cancelled.
  18. Wow, I was way off on my timeline then! The one I remember seeing from Stampede had an envelope hanging above the ring (I think it was 10K) but I didn't actually know that Dan Kroffat and Tor Kamata were in the first ladder match
  19. That would be correct. The first Ladder Match happened in Stampede. I want to say that it was between Big Daddy Ritter and Bad News Allen but I'm not 100% sure. It's on the Ladder Match DVD that WWE released a few years back so I'd have to rewatch it.
  20. HOUSE SHOW February 27th, 1981 Calgary, AB -The Dream Machine (w/Percival Pringle III & Plowboy Frazier) beat Jim Wilson in 5:49 -Chief Jay Strongbow (w/Chief Jules Strongbow) beat "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers (w/"Dirty" Dutch Mantel) in 14:35. After the match, both teams start to brawl until The Great Hussein Arab & Mr. Fuji, along with their manager Abdullah Farouk charge the ring to attack both the Kansas Jayhawks and the Strongbows! Abdullah Farouk grab the house mic and mocks the quality of tag teams in Stampede Wrestling and how they would easily become the International Tag Team Champions. Stu Hart comes out from the back and tells Farouk he doesn't know how he, Arab & Fuji got here but since they're in Calgary, he's gonna make it worth their while; Stu books for later tonight The Great Hussein Arab & Mr. Fuji against.....Dutch Mantell & Chief Jules Strongbow! Both the Jayhawks & the Strongbows are not pleased with this but Stu's word is the law in Calgary! Can they co-exist later tonight? -The Fantastic Ones beat Dos Caras & El Bracero in 12:52 after Bobby Fulton pins Bracero following a Rocket Launcher -Plowboy Frazier (w/Percival Pringle III) beat Willem Ruska in 13:02 Special Attraction: The Great Hussein Arab & Mr. Fuji (from Maple Leaf Wrestling) beat "Dirty" Dutch Mantell & Chief Jules Strongbow (w/Bobby Jaggers & Chief Jay Strongbow) in 16:48 after Mantell accidentally hits Jules Strongbow with Bobby Jaggers' bullrope, while he was aiming for Arab. After the match, Chief Jay Strongbow attacks Dutch Mantell and once again, all hell breaks loose between the Jayhawks and the Strongbows! -In the main event, "Honky Tonk Man" Wayne Farris (w/Percival Pringle III, The Dream Machine & Plowboy Frazier) fight Davey Boy Smith to a 30-minute time limit draw. The match saw Dream Machine being thrown out from ringside after he dropped Davey Boy throat first on the guardrail!
  21. Somebody actually had done this a couple of years back and it literally was a WWE Network Random Match Generator with the link to this match on the Network to watch it. Unfortunately, the generator isn't working anymore but it was my go-to whenever I felt like watching something randomly. Still holding hope somehow that this will be restored eventually.
  22. With the RAW TV ad hyping the return of Drew McIntyre, I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a no-contest because of his interference. But yeah, I definitely see Lashley winning it at Fastlane instead.
  23. Thanks! For me, the best way to keep fresh matchups and burn out those is to vary the cards every show and have faces vs faces and heels vs heels is a good way to accomplish that.
  24. Love your match results description as it's a pretty solid indication of how it went in a match. Just the Wahoo/Duncum match is a great example of the violence it must've been in the match.
  25. I've been seeing lots of people mad at this news. Not necessarily at the merge as much as it is that the title will start a lineage of its own. So, I guess this now makes the NEVER Openweight title the 2nd title in importance?
