That really does show Dave's star ratings simply don't mean what they used to. Did anyone come out of that match saying "That was the greatest match of Bryan Danielson's career"?

I really think that's Bryan telling a bunch of fans who see WWE as the bad guy "Hey guys you know WWE really don't want you to do the "Yes!" chant. They think they own it. They'd be so annoyed if you all do it on AEW shows but there's nothing they can legally do to stop it."

I don't think it's even 1 big thing with Tessa, there's just a load of little bits of evidence for years that she is very disliked by other wrestlers even before the racist stuff came out. As early as January 2016 Meltzer was wondering why WWE hadn't signed Tessa and got tweets like this. I remember this tweet from Victoria for example complaining about her attitude. We had the weird Stardom incident when Isla Dawn left in the middle of a tour with rumours that she ran away from Tessa, and then in Tessa's last Stardom match Kagetsu no-sold her offense and stiffed the fuck outta her. And there was an incident in WWR where Tessa seemed to get into a shoot fight with Deonna Purrazzo in the middle of a battle royal. This isn't stuff you can ever really prove as it's mostly rumours, but if I had to guess with WWE/AEW won't sign her it's because they get so many reports from wrestlers in their lockerroom that she'd be a very toxic presence and she's just not worth the trouble.

I think you may be underestimating just how much AEW might have grown its audience in the last couple of months. I had a look at the ratings and Dynamite averaged 807k viewers from the start of 2021 until the episode Adam Page was last on the show, and the run when he was most prominently featured last year was a bit lower than that. Dynamite has averaged 1,109k viewers since Page last appeared and this week's episode did 1,319k. Obviously suddenly have more viewers is a good thing, but if they're gonna bring him back soonish to challenge Kenny for the title I think they're gonna have to keep in mind that there's gonna be a lot of people watching who aren't invested in that storyline yet. Doesn't mean they shouldn't do it, but he do with some kind of "reintroduction".

Stardom World currently has every show from August 2017 - present and bit and pieces from 2011-17. They're slowly adding older shows in between tours.

There's a mix of styles. I'd say the lower card matches (especially multiman tags) tend to look like what you just saw and the more important matches are worked more straight.
