  1. It was a rarity in itself but combat sports should have learned from the Demetrious Johnson/Ben Askren swap deal and made it a regular occurrence, and so should AEW/WWE
  2. Wow, those ticket numbers are brutal. I don't keep up with these things, has this been gradual or is it a sudden drop off? It isn't great tv, the vibe is not there at the moment
  3. Its a terrible waste of momentum
  4. Saraya could be a good Sherri if she never gets herself to 100%. Could see some value to that
  5. He may have added a bit of interest to the card maybe but Stipe v Overeem was a pretty big fight at the time and it was for the belt The buyrate is good but nowhere near something like your mcgregor diaz fights etc
  6. Surely it isn't just me that thinks the Penta Canadian Destroyer on Keith Lee looks like it would hurt Penta more than big Keith I liked the match otherwise
  7. Before the injury they were treating Miro like a star, i can't get my head around him getting sidelined considering he's been fit for 6-8 weeks now
  8. Miro is fit and healthy, for once, has tweeted a few times about not being used on TV, and has been shelved it seems
  9. Tony should just absorb Dana's lack of morals and make the end game bizarro american federation we all deserve
  10. If you look at what is happening with the UFC card this weekend and what they're doing after this giant bust up at the press conference, it should be a real lesson for Tony i think Just make three new matches at the next card/Dynamite, fuck it, let's go Punk might have a torn bicep but make him fight Young Buck #2 anyway
  11. Fenix has a great cutter/rko/stunner you know Feel like they should make a lot more of it
  12. I would think the message board shitposter part of Tony Khan must be loving all this in a way
  13. I dont see the point of it in the slightest, but thats never stopped these work/shoot angles before If it's actually just Punk being a dickhead then they need to give him a good kicking really
  14. That Punk interview was a good laugh but it feels like a work to me However, if its not a work - much like i said when Cody left - whats the point in being an "EVP" if you get no stock options, have no equity in the company, and there's a lad you obviously detest winning the big belt and talking shit about you without any comeback. When the only reason the place exists is because of the legwork you all put in Can't blame them for wanting to let out frustrations on Punk if that was a shoot Interesting place AEW.
  15. Flicking between this and fight night paris has been good so far, not much promo Rollins kick defense poor though
  16. Big fan of this after the interview bit between riddle and rollins, good heat Then Riddle comes down the aisle smiling his head off in sequin jacket on a scooter Great juxtaposition though
  17. The Principality has a retractable roof so there is the option either way but don't know how long it takes to close tbh
  18. Regardless of circumstance Fish was right in saying that Punk's kicks are fucking terrible, it pains me to see people having to sell them. And i like Punk
  19. Punk trying for the Canadian Bret Hart vs USA homage/cosplay seems to make most sense to me Bret had much better kicks though
  20. Yeah thats a good point really. It's a shame they dont have a modern-day Sid
  21. Tim Storm could be a good little manager somewhere if the role was in fashion. Great talker
  22. Regardless of the background, grumpy old bastard CM Punk is a much better character than sincere Stella Gets Her Groove Back CM Punk
  23. Tornado tag has been a good laugh
  24. Haven't watched this that much recently but got it on on ITV here. Did this really start with a coffin match full of blood or did the UK broadcast start oddly Seems like a strange way to start a show unless they're trying to keep an audience from the lead-in? Can't get my head around it
  25. There's some bizarre match-ups on Pro from 97. I did a skim through a few years back & you're seeing stuff like Public Enemy v Doc Dean & Robbie Brookside, Jim Duggan V Super Calo Some episodes are almost surreal; a lot of good stuff hidden in that show, though
