Feels like Jericho is cutting the legs out from underneath Eddie to be honest. I would guess he has enough leeway/status to be in management's ear here, just don't see a situation where anyone could think Kingston benefits from it Its a shame really. I think for a while he was the best thing on their tv, now its all feeling a bit Sting at Spring Stampede 98 Edit- i doubt this is actually the case but its how it feels. Really poor booking tbh

After watching 1995.04.16 - Hashimoto vs. Regal I now retract my statement about Regal not having a best match, this is almost definitely it
-
I think Raven's "best" match could have only come from ECW really, and he should have lost to Dreamer long before he was on the way out Might not have been some technical classic but that's not what really matters. If Dreamer had beat him at the height of the feud then it would have been a much bigger occasion * Never saw any Jake Roberts in AAA. Sounds like something i should get into

Assuming you mean where people rate/rank fights, Tapology is the closest you'll get to Cagematch https://www.tapology.com/rankings/4498-2022-mma-fights-of-the-year It does skew very heavily to UFC on the whole, though -
William Regal is my shout. Unbelievable talent and some great matches but got to think his problems ruined his peak I love the master edit of his worldwide "cup" matches against Flair, wish there'd been a good epic

V Samoa Joe at Slammiversary 2006 is the best of his second act by miles but i do completely agree

To be fair, though, pretty girl with lots of charisma, Latin-American (the holy grail!), its a decent signing
-
Valerie was hardly a massive star, Bellator signed her after one amateur fight and fed her a load of donkeys Hannah Guy murdered her in her second to last fight, think she won the last one but yeah not brilliant. She is tidy though, which is why she got signed I'd guess

These lads really need to watch themselves. 2 in a month?
-
Martha Marcy... is brilliant, one of the best films of the last ten years He had a TV series, Southcliffe, that's quite good as well. That is quite promising

Bravo

Surely if Vince is on Smackdown they should put the belt on Riddle. Never a better opportunity to try and make someone given the amount of people that will watch this now

AEW TV 06/08 - 06/10 Lots of fuckery tonight bubbas!
Dale Wolfe replied to KawadaSmile's topic in AEW
I met HBK after he got sober and he seemed like a sound lad, very chill, but i think if you pay attention to background stuff & get invested its hard to look past the politics. No doubt he must have been a prick in his prime I think the stories are pretty comical but if you were in those shoes you'd be angry i guess He has at least four or five undeniable classics regardless. Trying to lessen that is getting blinded by the external stuff i think -

The second one is perhaps slightly more on track but he does love to ramble doesnt he. At first i was quite reticient about the idea of the first two being AEW launches & man's man 5 week period, but it has allowed us to get the two big traumatic events of his career out of the way quite early on. Quite cleverly done, in the end. The host could do with trying to reign him in occasionally, mind -

Considering he is a board nerd apparently I'm surprised he isnt just pilfering his tape collection and ripping off all the best storylines from old promotions -

Its a fair point. While AEW TV at it's best is still head and shoulders above modern RAW/Smackdown (not saying much really), a lot of its top tier are still people who have been in WWE for years and weren't setting the world alight so to speak. Punk did have his pipebomb phase and the Danielson "yes" era did decent business too, i believe, but it was also part of a much stronger, more popular product. Unless AEW hit on a genuine top-tier original star with no WWE baggage then its hard to see massive changes in their casual perception or success i think. Plus both these big eras were years ago It is a good show but that's all it is at the moment. They should focus less on belts and more on some actual storylines -

Page has been really boring since his return and his reign was awful But trying to buy into the combat sports tropes of interim titles etc and then ignoring the ex-champion does is counter-productive imo. In any other scenario the former champ vs number 1 contender is the instant response To have him not involved is puzzling -

Thought this was great. A real force of nature, didn't even make the slightest bit of effort to stick to the formula -
The Gentleman Villain with Willian Regal

The old Austin podcast with Regal is still one of the best wrestling podcasts ever; I've gone back to it several times now. I dont expect anyone in Conrad's wheelhouse to be as charismatic as Austin but its quite clear from that that Regal has hundreds of stories to tell It will be a shame if this goes badly but got to give it a chance -
Is this true? It seems really reckless to be putting your opponents through spots and having them in your hands without being upfront about such a big issue/condition. I'm surprised by that.

Love the idea of Strowman fucking up and catching a receipt off Overeem -
I'm an idiot but im reluctant to watch Darby lose again. He's one of the few i actively root for here & he should be going over Kyle at this point Oh well I'll probably end up watching it all anyway
-
Well, i read this thread to see if i should watch the show & really surprised at how poor it sounds I've been sour on the TV for a couple of months but assumed the ppv would come through; surprised. I will watch the main event though i guess, do enjoy moaning old man punk

I remember one from Nitro, against Regal maybe? Where Kidman doesnt even make impact and instead lands on the top rope himself and nearly breaks his neck Horrible Edit, it was his leg- https://youtu.be/Xw9CLs5YTt0
