Huber refuses to be ignored. Sir Tony still can't bring himself to take Colon seriously. Konnan v Blackblood was predictably chaotic. Orndorff promises Hansen a Wonderful ass kicking. The All-Stars catch Armstrong alone. I'm with Rain, you're making the Red Rooster gimmick far more viable than it has any right to be. I like how there's ambiguity in the Fantastics/RnR segment. You could say that the champs were petty or that the Express were oversensitive. Sawyer has a surprise waiting for him at SuperClash. Good work blending the two tag feuds together. Nikita and Debeers' planned ambush doesn't go to plan.

Hennig winning the title on a coin flip may just be the most heel thing ever! Keirn looks good in the opener. Paul Bearer and the Undertaker make a chilling first impression. Dustin properly introduces himself to Memphis and immediately takes the fight to the Japanese monster. I think Lance & Dutch might have gotten Brad confused for someone else for a bit there. But what's important is Dutch surely got his Tri State title match with that trick with Somers. Memphis TV is like Fight Club, if your there, you gotta fight.

I remembered you had a rule that the US champion could trade the belt in for a World title shot but I was still surprised Lex would swoop in and take Sting's spot. Sting's a bigger man than I am agreeing to watch Lex's back after that. Speaking of Sting, i'd keep an eye on Sherri if I were him. Arn & Tully have enough trouble with the Road Warriors already but now the Rockers are on their trail? Gary Hart is building one scary stable. First the Samoans followed by the Berserker. Brother Love has a pretty impressive crew himself and he has a chance to leave Future Shock with a good amount of gold. Owen Hart vs Jushin Thunder Luger. Nuff said. Wahoo and Tatanka make a natural pair, as do Race and Orton.

Looks like SinMin has some formidable new clients.

Prentice & Gossett continue to highlight the weekly shows. Taz makes quite the impressive debut. Renesto closes the show with a feel-good win.

The Bullet troop looks good heading to the blow-off with the All-stars. Patera is eager to fight for his friend. Orndorff gives Hansen a taste of what's coming. The Moondogs can cause a lot of havoc in a battle royal. Jammer finally gets an answer to his challenge. The All-Stars had better be on their best behavior with Mr T as the enforcer. The Fantastics were really on edge tonight. Larry's ambush blows up in his face. The Anvil arrives in style by immediately earning himself a TV title shot. Nikita looks like a beast demolishing two men.

Fidel Sierra as a face? Well if he's facing Humperdinck it might work. Rasta the voodoo man, pardon me mon may be the most territory gimmick I've come across in this game so far. Lancaster continues to vex Precious and her boys. Mando saying he'd never heard of Bill Dundee cracked me up. Looks like Los Guerreros are gonna get real familiar with the Superstar in the next couple of weeks. DJ and Mulligan's back and forth was my favorite part of this week's episode. Luckily they were able to find Grizz but he wasn't in any condition to help his team win.

UWF wisely hyping the coming arrival of Fujinami. NJPW is really being hit hard since UWF came around.

A great set of TV that really sets the scene in WCW's new landscape. Man I wish I could hear Solie & Sullivan on Commentary. I wonder what Sullivan's gift is? Between Sting, Luger & Muta, Flair certainly isn't at a loss for challengers. Herd liked the tag title match at Starrcade so much he decided to run it back! Appreciate the updated schedule.

Last minute addition to the trade with WCW, WWF sends Bob Orton for Black Bart. WWF also signs Bad News Brown, Vic Steamboat and Alex Porteau which should put me at 65 exactly,

Johnson makes his first contribution to the UWF's highlight reel. Flynn debuts with win. Benoit puts on a game effort against Shamrock. Loved the spot in Vader's match where he realizes "oh yeah I'm stronger than this dude." Speaking of Vader, can't wait to see him take on Maeda in the next round.

As first revealed on NBC and expanded upon in the December edition of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Vince McMahon has reached an agreement with HBO for a two hour weekly series called WWF Prime Time. The show has been described as "an all encompassing recap show designed to keep fans up to date on all the major happenings in the World Wrestling Federation." While the new show won't have any original matches, it will contain matches first seen on other WWF programming as well as never before seen (to most fans) matches recorded on the various live events or "house shows" as their called in the industry. Titan Sports -the WWF's parent company- has also released a schedule of the year 1990. TV shows. WWF Raw is War -syndicated, originally airing on Monday 9pm. WWF Prime Time Tuesday 8pm on HBO. WWF Wrestling Challenge -syndicated, airtime varies by market. TV Specials and Pay Per Views. January 1990- Saurday Night's Main Event 1/4 - Royal Rumble -PPV 1/19 February- March 1990 - Saturday Night's Main Event in early March April 1990- WrestleMania VI -PPV May 1990- Saturday Night's Main Event in mid May. Mutant proves himself the MVP of the Dangerous Alliance. Chilling finish as Jake sicks his name on Rhodes. Heenan's tricks couldn't halt the march of the Warrior. A pair of loaded house shows put a bow on a stellar run with the WWF. Looking forward to seeing you return to WCW.

Lancaster with a surprise win to start us off. I sure as hell wouldn't want to run afoul of sheriff Mulligan. Mando brings his hermanos to help him beat up a half blind man?! What a culero. Thankfully Sheriff Mulligan found two qualified deputies in the Armstrong's. Hoss shows he fits right in the HoH. Mulligan makes his first major decision and it's a doozy. A six man tag in a cage next week! I haven't watched much classic Florida wrestling but if it was as crazy as this I need to rectify that.

As explained in this article, there was a period in Spring of 1990 where Verne allowing WCW use of his tag champions Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (albeit under masks) lead to Ted making a serious offer to buy the whole AWA from the Gagne family. Per the article the deal would have included.... WCW taking over all of the AWA's syndicated TV slots as well as their slot on ESPN. WCW obtaining the AWA's vast video library. WCW taking over the contracts of all AWA talent. In addition to the previously mentioned Enos & Wayne this list of talent would have included then World champion Larry Zbysko, Mr Saito, Sgt Slaughter, Col Debeers, Tully Blanchard, Giant Kokina (the future Yokozuna), The Trooper (the future Patriot), Baron Von Raschke, John Nord, Scott Norton and others, Greg Gagne would recieve a job in the front office where he'd work directly under WCW President Jim Herd and would book WCW shows in the Midwest region. Verne Gagne would serve in an on-air role as WCW Commissioner. The deal, reportedly worth at least a couple million dollars, ultimately fell through over a dispute regarding the fate of the AWA World title. More specifically Verne wanted WCW to recognize the AWA World title while Ted wanted it to be a separate entity like how the WWF treated the Big Gold Belt when Flair brought it over. They couldn't reach an agreement and so nothing came off the offer. Sufficed to say when I read this article I was immediately intrigued by the idea and thought i'd get other opinions. What do y'all think, how does wrestling change if Ted & Verne manage to reach an agreement?
