The Boston Garden and Spectrum shows from 2/6/88 both feature DiBiase with the title, and announced as the new WWF Champion.

Something that I just thought of: Does anyone know approximately when Bam Bam debuted with the WWF? The tried and true formula of Hogan vs. Monster Heel was already established, and Hogan and Bam Bam had been teaming up. Bam Bam turns on Hogan to set up a Mania match, but Bam Bam's knees put the kibosh on that (I'm too lazy to go through all the recaps, but I recall Loss posting that Bigelow's knees were in rough shape).

The Colony vs. Chuck Taylor and Icarus double mask vs. double hair match from 2009 is excellent.

If there aren't any other takers, I can see WWE jumping on it, just for the tape library. -
The Sandow thing just strikes me a huge slap in the face. He ruthlessly attacks an existing injury, and still loses to the one armed Supercena. Granted, the whole point of Sandow winning MITB was turning Cody babyface, but surely he could have gotten some mileage out of bragging that *HE* put Cena back on the shelf. Even if he only got a month or two with the title, it'd still have been a fresh title run.

And here they are: Good lord. Dory is only 2 years older than Terry. I know that he's always looked older than Terry, but Dory looks about 90 there. Like I said on DVDVR, is that what Flair will look like in ten years? -
What's his personal record for most roations on the giant swing?

I'd probably snag it if I had a kindle, but I've got a Nook. -
My review on 411 said as much. Although, I really did like Sean's comment that they'd ride the train as long as Marty gets to the station.

If the territories still existed...

I've been thinking the same thing as far as developmental goes. Instead of just using NXT in Florida, the could set up a few others in other areas. This way, the guys can learn under different trainers and work in front of different crowds, and they won't all work and talk the same. So, if Solomon Crowe seems to be running his course in Florida, instead of the future endeavor, they can send him to another place to continue his preperation. -

I think the idea at the time was that the Deadman character had run its course, so it was something closer to the real Mark Calloway. -
I second the Teddy Hart ROH mess, especially if you can get your hands on the "ROH Uncensored" release from way back when, which supposedly has footage of the backstage fallout of Teddy's antics.

Norman Smiley's wind-up bodyslam always impressed the hell out of me. The Smi-lay Slam! -
Concrete didn't quite tell the whole story, he got about 80% of it though. There was an issue with Brodie and the fan before the chair incident, where he took a swing at Brodie. Brodie had been egging on the crowd, so he let it slide, but then the guy overplayed his hand at life and got knocked the fuck out. Jack Trades and I were joking about it, that out of everyone in that match to try to pick a fight with (Marcos, Cloudy, Loca) he picks Brodie. The incident actually forced 2CW to turn him babyface, because everyone LOVED him for doing that. They booked him to run in and lay out Springate in October, and he got a standing ovation. The whole thing actually kept 2CW out of the arena for eight months, because the American Legion was worried about someone doing something even more stupid and a lawsuit coming about. Sidenote: If the Legion's bar didn't hand alcohol to anyone with a pulse and a dollar, then they wouldn't have issues like this.

In what sense? I just watched it via youtube, and I'm at a loss for anything that Kerry does that Jumbo doesn't do better. I found Kerry's best stuff to be his reactions to Jumbo tearing apart the claw arm in the third fall, and Kerry pretty much shits on it by ignoring it moments after it happened. He throws punches and goes to the piledriver without the slightest hint that he was hurt at all. The early matwork, including Kerry countering Jumbo on the mat to get the stomach claw is pretty much all Jumbo, seeing as Kerry isn't known for his mat work.

Hey Will, when you're doing your 2013 MOTY comp, you may as well just earmark a certain number of discs for various Shield matches.

How about Jumbo vs. Kerry Von Erich from May '84 for Kerry's NWA Title?

A guy on youtube used to have a bunch of vids like that, talking about subjects like everyone hating Johnny Ace, Bradshaw being a bully, etc.

I'm not liking how Ambrose is distancing himself from the other Shield members by losing the whole riot gear. Reigns and Rollins still rock it, but Ambrose just wears a plain black top now. sidenote: Not gear related, but the Shield have some awesome t-shirts, I'm surprised they don't wear them on TV to push them.

A babyface will seemingly have won some sort of grueling match, like a gauntlet match or an Elimination Chamber. But, then there's one last entrant who wasn't advertized for the match. A babyface will win a battle royal, but a heel that wasn't technically eliminated, but forgotten about runs back in and eliminates him.

As much as I'm pissed about the way Reigns first loss was handled, the match was insanely fun. The Shield gets a comeuppance, but still get put over huge by whittling things down from 11 on 3 to an almost level playing field. I'm hoping for a Bryan/Ziggler/Usos vs. Orton/Shield 8 man match next week.

I can't explain the thought process of that match booking but Roman Reigns was the best guy in the match and he's well worth the time checking it out. I can't beleive his first loss was wasted on the fucking Usos. Unless this leads to a serious tag title program between them and Reigns/Rollins, and when was the last time the tag titles were really involved in a serious program?
