  2. I forgot the best part. After Tully beat Dusty, this drunk dude in the section to the right of us who was in like, the third row..was so mad that he tossed his chair at the ring. It landed ringside, and security immediately went looking for whoever threw it. We could see the guy and he was squatting, pretending to still have a seat. Security found him right away and dragged him away as he was kicking and screaming.
  3. http://www.tnt-radio.net/archive/236-its-a-cookbook/ Latest show "IT'S A COOKBOOK" is up for listening and download. Just skip the first 5 mins of ads Here's some teasers.
  4. My favorite live show has to be Starrcade 86 in Greensboro, NC. Months before the show, I had convinced my Dad that we should drive from New Jersey to North Carolina to go to a wrestling card on Thanksgiving. I stayed home from school the day tickets went on sale and used my old phone trick to get tickets the minute they went on sale. I succeeded with four tickets in the third row for Starrcade 86: Night Of The Skywalkers. So, the day before Thanksgiving, me, my pal Joey, my Dad's girlfriend, and my Dad set off for North Carolina. My Dad, who realy wasn't much of a wrestling fan, convinced his girlfriend at the time that this was gonna be a nice get away for them. Well, the first night on the road we all stayed at a trucker motel. ROMANCE! The next day, we got up early and eventually arrived in Greensboro. My Dad saw the fanciest hotel in town and got us two rooms, one for him and his girlfriend and one for me and Joey. This was the fanciest hotel I had ever been in in my 16 years so we went wild and ordered ROOM SERVICE, and watched "The Legend of Billie Jean!" "FAIR IS FAIR!" That night we drove over to the Greensboro Colosseum for the show. Holy shit. We were at fucking STARRCADE. We found our seats and proceeded to have one of the best times I've ever had at anything, let alone a wrestling show. At first we were pissed that the Omni got the two main events, the scaffold match and Flair/ Nikita. That changed when we realized that we got Valiant/ Jones: The FINAL match and Jones got his head shaved, Dusty/ Tully First Blood, and the Rock N Roll Express vs. The Andersons in the cage. 9. That sounds awesome. Was it on TV? Cause if it was I must have missed it.
  10. Last Night's episode "Ace Rules" http://www.tnt-radio.net/archive/53-ace-rules/ With Bryan, Will and Myself. It's damn funny. Here's the winner of our Otunga Photoshop contest, by jackwebb And here's a preview of next week's show
  11. I'm watching the SMW set, specifically the Rock N' Roll Express vs. Al Snow/ Unabomb stuff and it's just awesome. "American Pie"....as Morton lie there after three piledrivers..the last on a chair. "Ricky Morton was a closet transvestite!!" Snow is so great here.
  12. My "breaking point" originally was more about slowly not being as obsessed about wrestling as I had been. I remember getting really turned off to WWF when Honky Tonk beat Steamboat for the IC Belt. But I still watched UWF on Saturday nights when I was near a TV, and TBS same deal. But we still went to a ton of live shows for another year. But by the end of 1988 I had pretty much stopped watching. Going to college and following the Grateful Dead around the country really trumped wrestling. I still goof around that I missed 1989, the so called greatest year ever in wrestling. Maybe so...but it was also the start of the Dead's last great run so I'm happy with my choice. I'd watch here and there over the next few years. I saw a bunch of Clash of the Champions cause they were free and really enjoyed WCW at the time. I also was happening to flip around the TV one Saturday morning and caught Heenan introducing the Big Gold Belt. That led me into watching WWF for about a year and then lost interest again. Right before Mania 10 I got into it again, and it's been hardcore Wrestling watching ever since.
  13. Shitty promotion sure, but that AJ Styles/ "Cowboy" James Storm match tonight kicked some ass.
  14. Tomorrow night's WHATAMANOOVER! is when we'll be announcing the winner of the Otunga Photoshop Contest! There's still time to submit an entry so if you haven't but wanted to get to steppin'! (The pics are in the WHATAMANOOVER thread at DVDVR) In case you forgot, the prize is a copy of the new Rock DVD set and one of Goodhelmets 90's DVD yearbook sets! Bryan and I will be joined by the one and only Goodhelmet Will who'll be telling us all about his experiences at WrestleMania Weekend in Miami! Tomorrow night at 11pm EST live
  15. Simple answer is, "Stop doing that." Or just run an endless loop of Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard "I Quit" in the cage from Starrcade 85 so you have nothing but perfection on your TV at all times.
  16. There was nothing about it that was "I'm shooting now". It's storyline stuff re: Punk's character and Jericho being a douchebag. It may not have worked for you and the people at your place watching but it worked for me and the people watching at my place, man.
  17. No, he's not done those.
  18. As a worker, not at all. He's way better. But he has that unspoken charisma that Warrior and Sid had. I don't give a shit about Brock's "real life credentials". I'm jacked because Brock is Brock Lesnar , Monster Pro Wrestler.
  19. Mania was fucking great.
  20. Maria managed to win while having Aunt Flo from Red Bank show up while wearing white pants. That's great and who cares at the same time.
  21. Maybe it's just because I love everything about him, but I think James Storm is just a total package type guy. He can talk, he can work, people love him as a face and hate him as a heel, and he looks like a bad ass. There aren't enough long haired and bearded Southern dudes in wrestling.
  22. And JYD arrived in the WWF all kinds of muscled up. He just got fat while he was there.
  23. That's just his style. Haters gonna hate. Oh and this:
  24. And, he's the guy who comes out and gives the live crowd the matches they want, generally. We may goof on the whole "Teddy Formula" but it works most of the time. I'm also loving that since they've introduced Johnny Ace as a character, the guy who the crowd is actually excited to see feud with him is Teddy Long. Not HHH..not CM Punk. It's Teddy Long.
