This is a tough one: RIP Nick Bockwinkel
Johnny Sorrow replied to UKWildcat's topic in Pro Wrestling
I'm thankful I got to see Bock live a couple of times at some Pro Wrestling USA shows back in the day. He was fucking awesome. -
That's lovely.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BkHmZNLCcAAxEfX.jpg This is your take on message board posts, "their depth and fierceness." You're making posts on a wrestling message board, there is no fierceness taking place; from you, myself, or anyone really. And really, if you think grown adults are so scared of the fierceness of your debating skills then you really are beyond hope. Maybe, just maybe, they don't want to deal with someone who argues like a child? As for the rest, people can call me a dick all they want, but I'm secure in the vitriol I'm slinging towards Parv. He's a guy who gets his jollies on telling others that their opinions are arbitrary or don't matter. So, hurting his feelings doesn't concern me much. And trust me, if I take off it's not because of the fierceness of any debate or because I'm oh so scared of you Parv. I run into burning buildings for a living and I hold four year old kids in my arms as they die. Don't think that a guy who is too full of himself on a message board is all that fierce or scary actually.

Mailbag Questions for New Dangerous Alliance Podcast
Johnny Sorrow replied to goodhelmet's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Lawler is any dog that sticks its nose into random teen age girls asses and the owner goes "Shoo! Stop that" all embarrassed. -

Magnum/ Tully isn't the best brawl ever. It's the best match ever. -
Dangerous Alliance Wrestling Podcast #12
Johnny Sorrow replied to Bigelow34's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Nope. I did it first on Brad & Chad and then on the Kevin Kelly Show... Ripped it off from there (can you rip off from yourself?) ... As apparently you did too... That'd imply I actually listen to those shows. -
You wanna know why Gibson was fucking awesome? Because Ricky Morton never had another partner even close to being his perfect partner. I can't fucking stand it when dummies say shit like "Morton was awesome and Gibson was mediocre and passable " .

Samoa Joe was KING SIZED bad ass on NXT tonight.

Dangerous Alliance Wrestling Podcast #12

Ripping off my Sleaze Thread game? 😀 -
I'm loving that the Del Rio/ Zeb gimmick is "We all need to let go of hate and be one as a people" and it's a bad guy gimmick . 😀 And people are booing them for preaching acceptance and letting go of predudice. They know the average wrestling audience. 😆

I love Regal. The fact that his favorite thing he's ever done in his career was dressing in drag in Vegas is just awesome.
-
A lot of the "hate" granted does come from after the fact stuff like re-watch podcasts done by smarky hosts who've read/heard things and just wonder out loud why Mero was ever over because he was "so bad." While I'd love to think that wrestlers listen to fan podcasts, umm...no.

How To Make A Podcast More Successful
Johnny Sorrow replied to dkookypunk43's topic in Publications and Podcasts
To quote the Dr., " I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol , violence, or insanity but they've always worked for me." -
That four way match on RAW last week was the Becky show. Most of the match was Becky kicking everyone else's ass.
-
Holy shit, I'm watching that now.

The only Spin Doctors I'm into used to rock The Wetlands in NYC back in 1990. I just explain things.

Hey, I liked it. Even aside from being a perfectly decent modern Scooby Doo DTV movie (something we don't get many of nowadays), it was also a FASCINATING look into the warped psychology of the WWE office. They clearly had all kinds of script approval and executive meddling going on here, and seeing their idea of A Perfect WWE Universe really was a little bit mind-blowing. Especially when it's revealed that Actually, the guy who ends being the villian is the young man's Uncle who doesn't want him to become a wrestler. And his reason for being the Ghost Bear has nothing to do with his nephew. The plot is to steal the new Championship Belt that is covered in gold and jewels so he can sell it and become rich. Sorry, I got the movie for my nephew and since then have probably seen it at least thirty times. And HHH is barely in it.

What's the debacle, the Eddie stuff or that zero's awful YouTube show?
