What a beautiful first show. Very excited going forward, too bad Dos Caras didn't make Inoki tap though.

First CMLL show posted. Just results. Parts of that show will be recapped in more detail on the television in two days.

Without looking it up what were the best matches of 2014 or 2015? Can you rattle them off like we could for 89 or 92 or whatever? No, but in 2014-15 I watched thousands of matches, while in 89 and 92 there was few matches that were meant to be on that level. If 89/92 had monthly ppvs, and I had access to footage from every promotion all over the world at my fingertips, I would have trouble remembering too.

I don't disagree at all, though I think the transition from the 70's to the 80's and the 90's to the 2000's was a lot smoother. Hate to see what it's gonna be like in the 2020's though. The way it is going tells me it is going to have even more big spots, big moves and more video game style wrestling. Smoother, or just less people had a platform?

Boom Really good match. Satanico was amazing in this era working with the next generation. Very excited to get there, holy shit!

Currently doing that for PWO2000 and it's been awesome.

I really enjoyed this one and man am I ever getting pumped up for the Satanico vs Tarzan Boy match (that exists, right? Please say it does!!). This is a really cool version of Los Infernales with Buccanero being the pirate to replace Pirata Morgan and UG being great as always. I love their control segments. The whole match just is fun, especially the later dive sequence. *** 1/4

This match was shockingly good. I completely forgot how good Rey Buccanero was, thanks to years of watching him broken down. I also forgot that Tarzan was a great flyer at the time. Although this just followed the traditional lucha framework, it felt unique. First it was a short match, that never felt rushed. Whether that was the workers credit or the double juice, it all felt very natural. Second, the sneak attack by Buccanero during Tarzan Boy's interview felt different to me. Maybe I need to watch more 2000's lucha. Third, Satanico added so much to this match and almost deserves as much credit as the two workers. Everything he did added to the match and he never felt to be over shadowing as well. The double juice really worked, the Buccanero beat down was really good, and I was a big fan of Tarzan Boy's comeback. The third fall had some really great nearfalls that actually had me. Rating: ****

Follow along with the lucha from the PWO2000 project. Write more in my blog, including weekly lucha recaps, and everything about Style Battle. Put up a Pro-Wrestling Super Show the week of the major four WWE ppvs. Review a lot of Villano III matches.

We are in the period where I first tried to watch lucha, early 2000s around the time of the famous Atlantis-Villano III match. I hope to watch all the lucha in this 2000 series. I really can't manage all the stuff. To start we have a ridiculously awesome technico team, with all guys I love, so that's promising. The first fall was fine, but nothing special. I did love Solar flexing to taunt Mr. Mexico. It's weird thinking back to when I first watched some 2000 CMLL and that Mr. Mexico stands out as a guy I thought was great. The second fall was just a quick rudo beat down. The third fall saw everybody having a highlight with the two best, for me, being Mr. Mexico's flop over the top rope and Pantera doing his between turnbuckles dive which I always mark out for. A pretty good trios match that I am always happy to watch. Rating: ** 3/4

We share 4 matches, and 2 more from your list are in my top 15.

Welcome to the board. I'm kind of excited about this game too, since it's the first one I would get in years (as long as it comes out on the Nintendo Switch). Just moved it to Pro Wrestling Mostly, as it fits better here.

Reviewed Sin Piedad on my blog and it was a solid two hour show. I surprisingly enjoyed Mascara Ano 2000 vs Maximo Sexy for the hair. About *** 1/4, a really good vet cheater vs younger upstart match.

So, you didn't understand my post. Confirmation bias would make you think this great match is bad. It's a possible explanation. It's difficult if you are expecting something really great, especially if you don't think it will be great and you don't really believe the people who tell you it will be great. What the hell, I asked you for your recommendations, and trusted your judgment that it was a good match. Yet you think I was expecting it to be bad and didn't believe you? Why would I ask you for recs of matches I assumed were bad and thought you were full of shit? I did like some of them. I didn't like that one. I don't even know how to respond to this. You think everybody is trolling you in liking this match? You didn't read the lucha thread where you laughed at this match? You didn't read the lucha thread where you shit on lucha? It's very possible you watched this match, a match even Joe Lanza gave 4 stars, and thought it was awful. Sure. Its more likely that your previous attitude about this match and lucha in general had an effect you were not aware of. It's not a ridiculous speculation to make.

Yeah I think we watched different matches, because I disagree with everything you said there. There might be an issue here where you saw people hype it, and you never heard of it and formed your opinion before hand. Then when you watched it you watched for flaws and through biased eyes. It's called confirmation bias and it happens to almost everybody.

Never heard anyone describe the match that way, that's a very interesting take. I completely disagree with it, but interesting.
