    Upward Progression

Can they ever create a new star if they get a short run on top early on and then drop low on the card before moving back up?

    Upward Progression

Watching Raw and seeing the IC Title match between Miz-Big Show-Ryback and then seeing Seth Rollins doing the main event angle promo really got me thinking. I think the absolute biggest problem the WWE has is upward progression. The WWE method seems to be putting a new guy into a top program and then dropping them down the card where they never recover. The IC Title division seems to be built around failed main eventers. Shouldn't people get a run with the IC Title and then move up to the main event? I think there is very little issue with somebody being on the undercard and then moving up, while there is a huge problem with getting a main event run and then moving to the bottom of the card. After you drop like that it is really difficult to move someone back up.
  3. I am loving this promotion. So true to form and really great talent pool. Great use of Jim Cornette.
  4. Some of us never want to watch a Benoit match again.
  5. I really want to put Vachon on there, I love his 80s stuff. Really need to watch the 70s stuff though.
  6. Tajiri. Waltman. Muraco. Dustin.
  7. 2013 trumps all other SummerSlams, because it has the two best matches in the history of SummerSlam as well as another top 20 match. No other show in WWE history has that string of great matches, regardless of the other stuff on the show. 2005 was over rated, but Mysterio-Eddie rules!!! I kind of agree that those shows you listed should be looked at more, but the main events were so shitty they make the whole card look bad. Plus I hate Shawn-HHH from 02.
  8. Good analysis. I prefer Punk basically from the start until late 2013-14, then Hero over takes from there. It's close at points, but I can see it. Just a surprise to see how much higher he got.
  9. We'll see how high Waltman and Tajiri get on my list too. Personal favourites are going to be fun to watch to see where they get placed.
  10. I hope he drops off completely.
  11. Besides missing Hansen, this list is pretty good. I'd also ask about Hero being so above Punk.
  12. I've been working on a poster that isn't coming out right to promote the Maple Leaf Gardens show on August 30th. Until I can get it nice, here is what is booked for that show. Main Event for the NWA Canadian Title Champion Rick Martel vs Mr. Saito with Jesse Ventura NWA Canadian Tag Team Titles Match in a Steel Cage Champions Ivan Koloff and Super Russian with Don Carson vs Wahoo McDaniel and Buzz Tyler with Alexis Smirnoff Toronto Street Fight Rocky Johnson and "Big" Stephen Petipas vs Cuban Assassin and Chicky Starr with "No Class" Bobby Bass NWA Midget Title Champion Little Tokyo vs Tiger Jackson WWF Intercontinental Title Match Champion Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine Plus Andre the Giant and much much more!
  13. I think a better idea would be to tape try outs at the performance center and make some kind of documentary style show instead of some reality style show. I would at least watch that.
  14. NXT is taping at least one episode of TV post Special, so shouldn't be a problem.
  15. I have been plowing through 2015 EVOLVE and every show seems to have at least one 4 star affair or more. The style they produce is this great catch style involving Gulak, Busick and Thatcher that is out of this world great. Last weekend I watched EVOLVE 47 live and it had a top 5 mach of the year for me so far between Thatcher and Sabre Jt as well as another great match between Chris Hero and Mike Bailey. I know they don't run as many shows as other companies, but the ones they do are outstanding. What does everybody else think of EVOLVE? How does it rank with the other indies?

    ROH vs. NXT

They also need to fix their TV taping schedule. We should not be seeing TV taped before a ppv, two weeks after the ppv is over.
  17. HIMYM reference makes me happy.

    ROH vs. NXT

I really feel like it's some kind of test in Vince McMahon's mind. Triple H will not be deemed ready to take over the WWE until he can prove that he can run other promotions out of business like he did. NXT is using a lot of the same tactics the WWF did to go national.

    ROH vs. NXT

I have only watched ROH TV for the last few months, but I think there build to matches has been pretty lackluster. Nothing comes close to the Bayley vs Sasha build.
  21. Damn... I would love to release some stuff.. I might need a second TV show that airs Halfax, Maple Leaf Gardens and Ottawa house show footage.
  22. Colon bleeding, damn does this feel like a WWC show. I can't wait for Colon to get his revenge on Slater and get his shot at Race.

  24. When did home video releases start up?
  25. Grimmas

    ROH vs. NXT

NXT is a better product as it builds up matches more and reigns in a lot of the indy bullshit that ROH lets run wild.
