Wow, starting with the Elimination match is crazy. I am tempting to stop watching after it ends, because what else is there?

Survivor Series is always my favourite show of the year, probably due to nostalgia. This show is not doing it for me though.

The variations on the torture rack are also cool. Ultimo Dragon's spinning one is awesome and when Atlantis drops to his knees with it is also pretty cool.

I hate to be cliché, but when the Sharpshooter is done right it's one of the better finishers. I always dug Kendo Ka Shin's armbreaker in the late 90's, but I haven't seen that since the late 90's, so that may have changed. Tajiri's surfboard while also putting on a face lock is pretty great too.

Assuming WrestleMania 30 does 600,000 buys in the U.S. at an average price of $65, that would mean 600,000*32.5=$19.5 million in revenue. Say the network's running costs are $4 million for the month. So you would need $23.5 million in revenue from the network to break even. Assuming the price is $9.95 for the network and they receive half of that money per subscriber leads to a little over 4.5 million subscribers. The idea, though, is that they would make the money back over the year by having a lot of these subscribers become lifelong subscribers.

Sad day. Mad Dog was one of my favourite thing on the entire AWA set. His match with Blackwell was in my top ten and I loved the Bockwinkel match too. A real character and he seemed like one of the guys that was actually liked in the business. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/que...at-84-1.2435046

I would think starting at the Nitro where Scott Hall debuts would be a good place and watch everything from there. The luchadores arrive shortly after and the nWo storyline is great (at least till sometime in 1997).

Wait, you are serious? So by this logic Davey Richards is better than Ric Flair, right?

I was/am too and I love that match and Regal.

What if, Randy Savage joined the WWF in 1996?

I didn't want to change the shows too much right away. I forgot, I gave up on this, so I will just list the ppvs I had planned out till WrestleMania. I remember asking Blockbuster if I could order Uncensored 1998, because the store didn't have it for some reason. They told me it would be 98 dollars, Canadian.

A few months ago I was trying to figure out my match of the year and I was having trouble, because my memory sucks. What I did, at that point, was start a spreadsheet and just put star ratings next to any match I watched going forward. I find it easier to hand out ratings when I can see what matches they are compared too. I adjust any time things look weird. It's really helped to have something to look back at.
-
There are two parts to this. The first part is your physical dvds. Are they in cases? Spindles? How do you know where to find things? The second is more about your thoughts on matches. I see guys like Loss and Chad pull out star ratings all the time. Do you have amazing memory skills or some kind of spreadsheet? I am kind of curious as I am trying to get my stuff more in order. I will explain what I do when I get home, because I don't like typing from my phone.

Didn't piratebay's browser fix that issue?

If you are talking about greatest ppvs, you have to mention Money in the Bank 2011. Cena vs. Punk is 5 stars. The two ladder matches were a lot of fun. I remember the women's match not sucking and Big Show vs. Mark Henry being really good as well. Also Randy Orton vs. Christian was awesome. The atmosphere was off the page too.
-
Kandori vs. Hokuto is always the match I think of.
-
The question is, who has been on for 15 years? You would have to give everybody one last shot and let people know its their last year next year then. I am for it though. If you did that, and raised the eligibility criteria then the hall of fame would be in amazing shape.

Luger fell off the ballot in 1998. He never really had another big run in a major company after WCW so I don't believe Dave saw a big reason to put him back on the ballot unless a bunch of voters said they wanted to vote for him. Sting fell off that year too but he later joined TNA and was treated as a big star there, so at least the argument was made that added something substantial to his career after the first time he fell off. That at least makes sense. However, I feel like the guys who fell off the ballot the first few years got a raw deal.

Nakamura is the best guy in NJPW. Clearly I would love for him to be in the main event.
-
I prefer Survivor Series, because the storytelling is a bit better. If you have Bret not breaking on a 5 count, because it's no DQ. Not to mention all the cool leg attacks by Bret. The best is the table spot though. This is Bret at his best incorporating new and innovative spots that are trending in a logically fashion. This leads to the awesome surprise finish. The run ins drag the Royal Rumble match down. I would have to rewatch all 3 to be sure, because I remember the King of the Ring one being pretty awesome too.
-
I find it really strange that Sting is on the ballot, but Lex Luger is not.
-
So much I disagree with here. First, the match between Bockwinkel and Larry Z was my second favourite match of the 80's in the AWA. It was amazing and anything but boring. Also, the Rougeaus were masters at getting heat. You may not like them, but boring?
-
Holy crap, a wrestling match hall of fame! What a fun idea, I love it!
-
Heenan Family vs. The Warriors from 1989 is the best. Had the best storytelling and clicked on every level. The announcing, the work, etc... Arn & Haku make up the greatest team that never teamed in this match. The ending is perfect.

About the invasion. It didn't need stars it needed competent booking. You can ran an invasion with the guys they brought in if they looked like threats.
