  1. Not only that, but WWE's audience is basically old people now. If nothing goes awry. a new generation of fans is gonna grow up with a brand new mainstream product, and AEW can become the new reference for a new generation of workers coming up in the next five years.
  2. Wow. This is SO embarrassing for the company. And Lacey fucking Evans of all people ? And really, when you watch Double or Nothing and you see guys like MJH (only 24), Jungle Boy (only 24) and Sammy Guevarra (only 26) absolutely killing it and shining all the way and look at what WWE has been doing with Ricochet (31) for instance, who a few years ago looked like he was a can't miss prospect. Honestly, apart from being a WWE-only fan, I have no idea why anyone would want to sign with that company when there's a 95% chance of them fucking you up.
  3. I was not that hyped up for this show honestly. Not too sure about an entire big show in this context. Plus the go-home show I thought was pretty underwhelming and the worse Dynamite in weeks. Then I watched the show, and from A to Z, that is before Stadium Stampede, this was exactly what I needed after this shitty week. Everything over-delivered to me, including the stuff I kinda dreaded (Ford vs Statlander) or did not think had been built well (Cody vs Archer) or wasn't sure if I was gonna get interested in (Mox vs Lee). Loved the hell out of the ladder match, MJF vs Jungle Boy, Archer vs Cody (Tyson cracked me up), Nyla vs Shida (so WCW with the thematic props outside the ring, gotta love that too) and Brodie vs Mox. Plus the booking was spot on, all the right people won as they should. Then the Stadium Stampede happened. And it's not even fair anymore to anyone else. A trillion stars. Guevarra was probably the star of the match, again, by sheer virtue of his reactions to the fucking horse and the golf kart. And Schiavone namedropping Alex Wright killed me. I don't care, this has been my favourite AEW PPV thus far.
  4. Like it couldn't get any worse... I hate people, I really do. Fuck is right.
  5. Well, I think you are wrong and that anyone call be pushed over the edge by cyber-bullying. But basically what I'm saying here is that whether she had mental health issue or not is irrelevant. There's a serious, serious issue with cyber-bullying, people are just going insane. Hell, "normal people" doing cyber bullying are the ones with mental illness to me. Like I said. People are insane. Yes, there is a real issue of mental illness. In the average population I mean. This makes no sense whatsoever. Our world is worst than a Kafka novel.
  6. Enough with this mental illness bullshit. This is social media toxic lynch-mob culture we're talking about here. People drove a 22 years old human being to kill herself. And yes, there's something to be said about the industry she was working in, the whole idol thingy and expectations thrown on those young women, the sexualization and whatever, but cyber bullying is all over the place, really. I referred on another thread the other day to the French version of Survivor and people (men and women alike) getting threatened online with death and rape threats, threats on their children, to the point the production company had to file charges. Social media, echo chambers and the likes are only emphasizing the worst traits of human nature, and actual people are dying because of it and lives are getting ruined because of fucking hate mongers hiding being computer screens. That's the number one issue here. People being garbage and having a tool to be active pieces of shit anonymously and collectively.
  7. There should be criminal charges. Cyber-bullying is a crime. People should be held responsible for their actions no matter behind a screen or in the street. This is so godawful.
  8. Elvis was a hero to most But he never meant shit to me you see Straight up racist that sucker was Simple and plain (aka, I don't see what's shocking about that one)
  9. This PPV has a snakebit feel to it already, with three people getting injured during the go-home show. Well, Janela is a ladder match is not the worse choice, but I was under the impression Fenix could win the whole thing. Plus really, getting injured now, after months of getting back in shape, really sucks. Speaking of injury and taking time off and as far as the mystery guy goes, I'd bet on Brian Cage, since he was supposed to sign with AEW months ago. If they get him hopefully they sign Melissa Santos too and use her the proper way.
  10. This. Really, WHAT THE FUCK. That's awful. Human beings are a worthless species. Harassing a poor girl because of a stupid TV show until she gets so despaired she kills herself. Can you even fathom shit like this ?
  11. *gasp* Sounds racist as hell too ! I'm shocked there was still wrestling somewhere in France in 1984.
  12. Fun fact : my mind is so polluted by pro-wrestling that I doubt I ever shaved my hair and not think, for a few seconds at least, about some hair shaving stipulations, like Chavo's in WCW or Jarret in WWF (which wasn't worth a shit since he never was shaved, really). Yep. 30 years of pro-wrestling do that to your head (in many ways).
  13. Since the beginning of this week yes. During the quarantine, no. I never gave a fuck, I'm basically "shaving" my hair every ten days at worst anyway.
  14. We've been deconfined for a week already in France. 8 weeks of quarantine. I could have used more. Now there's people and cars everywhere, it's disgusting.
  15. Yes we are. Just busting your balls on this one. Still true though. But hey, nothing personal, I used to make the same kind of remarks before learning I was dead wrong.
  16. Spelling mistakes have *nothing* to do *at all* with intelligence. Takes that from a guy with a masters degree in research in language science who worked especially on the notion of "mistakes" in the context of language learning. See, that's a condescending post, for instance. Still true though. It has nothing to do with intelligence at all. So there...
  17. That's right. And who was "ugly".
  18. Oh, ok. Understood. I've only seen Asuka lately during the MITB match and she was clearly the best part of the match.
  19. Yeah, he's Russo now.
  20. I sometimes (often ?) post snarky or sarcastic stuff. It's not the same as being condescending. My response to the posts about Seth weren't snarky or sarcastic. My response to you last post wasn't snarky or sarcastic. Nor condescending. But whatever. Like I said, I thought here at PWO we were above that kind of stuff...
  21. I'm not condescending. I'm just telling shit like it is. People speculating about the timing of whatever and saying "ohhh Seth sucks" in this context because they don't like flippity flips and kick outs out of finishers, I mean, really ? I'm just saying come one, don't go there, this place is better than this. Your post on the other hand, yeah, total condescending and using of a bullshit verbiage. You've been better than this too acknowledging Cornette's mistakes and bullshit, including just a few posts ago. Just telling like it is. Just being honest.
  22. Ok, the condescending tones really isn't needed. Really now ? Sorry to say, but that post makes you look really bad... Get out of the Cornette bubble and spare us the "moral high grounds" and "lie down in your safe space" shit. What's next ? SJW ? For fuck's sake. Corny said stupid shit about two people in love having a baby. Seth adresses the issue of Corny talking stupid shit about his pregnant wife. End of story. Well, he does burpees and flips, so he has to be some bad guy anyway...
  23. As I've reached the end of Team 3D in TNA, I have to point out the following, when put in context of the booking, whatever it was worth (very often not much), of where they were in their career (veteran workers with nothing to prove anymore) and what they had to work with, I'll declare Team 3D stint in TNA as one of the best ever. Not that they had the greatest matches or angles, although they did have a number of winners, but they *always* did not only the most with what they were given, but always the right things too. They put over guys left and right without losing one bit of legitimacy, they did everything the best they could, Bubba's promo work was always fantastic, they adapted to whomever they worked with, from Hall & Nash to The Motor City Machine Guns, they were as good as heels or babyfaces, they were as efficient doing comedy stuff as blood feuds. And again, they always did the selfless thing. Just an incredible run that adds so much to their legacy to me. Just 100% positive from A to Z. Also, MMA Jeff Jarrett may be the best thing he ever did. Can't wait to dive into his feud with Angle and Karen showing up.
  24. Thirded. Seriously, people... We shit enough on fans and workers stuck in the bubble.
