    You realize the Librarians is actually a pastiche of bad gimmicks imposed on workers by offices ? It is designed to be bad and stupid.

    With the whole production of LU and the freaky mask, Matanza looked like a legit monster. Jeff Cobb looks like a big Hawaiian that does impressive power spots. Maybe he was more comfortable playing a role behind the mask than he is being his old former olympian self.

    Of course it's effective. I know alcoholics who quit cold turkey and never drank a sip of alcohol in their entire lives since. I know we're at an age of "no one's responsible for anything and you gotta blame society and context for everything that happens to you", but quitting drinking is way doable, either alone or helped. Some people just don't want to quit because they don't give a fuck about other people, or themselves. Again, I've lived through the whole "being in a relationship with an alcoholic", and some family members were alcoholics, so I speak out of experience. There, I said too much already about that topic I think. PWO. Fuck the Usos. And yeah, if AEW would jump on them after they would get fired from WWE, there would be a negative reaction over here, for sure.

    So, you're not defending drunk driving nor excusing his behavior BUT. Any sentence starting with "I'm not defending blablabla" then having a "but" in it basically means whatever comes after the "but" is bullshit and you're really defending the guy and looking for excuses. You're not being one of those WWE apologists, under quotation because none of which exist here, then you're making an assumption that if someone from AEW would get pop up, there would maybe not be any outrage on this board and you "wonder why"... Okayyyyyy......

    A flat-earther from Hawaii, of all places. But yeah, we know too much, in general. It's easier to concentrate on someone's work (as a pro-wrestler, a musician, an actor, whatever) when you don't have the knowledge that they are dumb as a brick.

    It was an excellent match, but Mox, White and Naito's matches were all (much) better to me. Yeah, Ishii is one of the few guys that strikes me as legit brillant, in the lines of Misawa, Kawada and a very few others.

    As someone who has spent years in a relationship with someone with an alcohol issue and who *always* wanted to drive when she was fucked up, and the endless nights of battles, insults and violent behaviour I had to endure to prevent her to take the wheel when wasted, I don't have much patience or tolerance with fuck-heads like the Usos or Jeff Hardy, who seem to get a pass from fans and the company apparently. Drive drunk and you can kill or severely hurt yourself or someone else and totally destroy your and other people's lives. WWE making jokes about it on the air is yet another reason to say fuck to them.

    Yes. And Ishii clearly is the MVP of the G1. Then again, isn't he the MVP of the G1 every year ? Yes to this also. As someone who LOVED Matanza Cueto, Cobb has clearly been exposed in this setting. Hell, as much as I bagged on Micheal Elgin for being a spot worker and my least favourite guy in the G1 last year (despite having Fale, Tonga, Makabe), I must admit Elgin had better matches than Cobb has had thus far.

    Who can even watch a Buck Zumhofe match period ? The guy sexually abused his own daughter for 12 years straight. It amazes me that this guy's matches are even featured.

    AEW should stay away from NWA, they have nothing to bring to the table and their name screams "irrelevant". Also, for how long NJPW will maintain their relationship with ROH at this rate ?

    Three hours is a death sentence, and no one wants to watch a three hours straight episode a week anyway. 1 hour could work, honestly, but the last year of iMPACT showed that 2 hours is pretty much the perfect time to have a super solid TV show. I'm sure there is gonna be some special on the Network on on FS1 or 2 or something on October 2 though. You know it's gonna happen.

    So it seems MLW is doing the most to grab my interest, as this week was about as good a show MLW can put out. The vignette with Salina in full bruja mode summoning la Bestia 666 was exactly what I needed. Hammerstone looked the best he ever did against DBS in a good hoss match. Smith's sister doing the interview backstage was out of nowhere and came off odd, especially since you could see she was trying really hard not to bust out laughing at Dynasty's promo. The main event was kind of a mess, in the coolest way possible. The ref had no idea how to work with these guys either (for the double pin spot which is classic lucha, Wagner Jr. had to literally stop him from counting the first guy down). That assisted Code Red on the opponent by the Parks was one hell of a cool move. Still in awe of LA Park's explosiveness on those plancha and the DDT bump. They should really get a whole lot more reaction shots from Salina though, here's she ringside with that awesome La Catrina (pun intended) style outfit and you barely shoot her ? That's a miss. Still, if every MLW Fusion episode was like this one, I would look forward to it very much each week.

    One hour show a week : WWF Superstars. And Saturday Nights Main Event every other time, I don't remember how regular it was. (I do remember however than Canal + was programming its monthly porn (Canal was an encrypted channel you had to subscribe to) just after, at midnight, so when I started to watch pro-wrestling as a young teenager I had to tape that show as it was too late to watch it live and I was always hoping the tape would roll a little late and I could catch a little bit of porn that I could watch in hiding...) First PPV showed was Survivor Series 90, so from that point on we got the big 4, until 1995 when we got the big 5.

    Back on topic, this week's BTE had some good shit (pun intended). I can see they are trying to make the Dark Order more serious with straight promos from the two guys and a better looking mask. Rick Knox, referee IRL is quite a funny gag. If nothing else, Micheal Nakazawa made sure everyone knows he's an undercard act, basically, so people not finding him funny can be reassured he won't be a focus.

    And by ricochet (see what I just did), it won't help Becky, because after the last mixed-tag angle, she's seen as Seth's partner. So that makes her uncool. Hell, much better be Maria Kanellis at this point.

    Cool. More panic attack in the weeks to come and more likely even more brillant "reboot" ideas. That company is broken. It's the blessing of all blessing they got the Fox deal thanks to Rousey and the Saudi deal thanks to a criminal leader of state who wants PR, because if they had to make their money out of the reality of how their product is perceived, they would be in huge trouble.

    I've just catched up on the G1. Ishii vs Mox and Okada vs Ospreay were out of this world great. Ibushi vs Ospreay was also amazing. Still not sold on KENTA, the Archer match was complete cruising to me, while he was really good against EVIL. Really cool booking thus far, the best part being Jay White being bitched out by the CHAOS crew. He's been terrific, too. Also, Taichi needs a lot more love, the guy is actually really good (and much more fun than, say, EVIL or Goto).
