I was a Sal Sincere fan. I wanted the guy to be pushed at IC title level ! Maybe it was all the Nino Rota-like theme. But in fact no, I liked when they pushed the guy under his real name against Marc Mero too. Thanks. Yeah, it's ok. I'm just getting into those moods...
  2. Ratings kinda suck. Live attendance kinda suck. But yeah, all this shaking up makes SS much more intringuing on paper (much like last PPV).
  3. It was fun once in a while for a Nitro, but if they do that all the time now, with PPV no less, I'm not a fan.
  4. I wasn't a fan at all at the beginning in LU, but his willingness to die multiple times and takes atrocious beatings finally won me over.
  5. Last time Jericho worked a Dome show, he was Super Liger. Wow. Time...

Okay, but you do realize we're on a rasslin' board, right? This is Pro Wrestling Only, not Financial Times Only. Certe. I can see we were not talking from the same perspective and you were strictly talking about the pro-wrestling aspect of it, so, I apologize for being a bit too froggy (then again, I'm French…). I guess I'm wee bit sensitive about those work issues these days.

Yes, he (Drew) sure made the best of his situation making a name and developping himself in the indies. But it's way harder now to make a living than it was during the territory days though. Jinder I really think beneficiated from a last minute decision to go after the Indian market. When he was first brought back, it was one of those TL Hopper/Sal Sincere deal.

But just for the sake of it, one thing : Do you honestly think anyone wanted to see Jinder come back, much less pushed as the main event ? Come on. Bad exemple. Cody's a much better one, although he wasn't fired, he wanted to leave.

What's difficult for you to grab is that people getting fired and losing their income being commented as "Oh, it's a chance for them" is managerial bullshit. That's all I was saying. I'm talking socio-economics, you're talking "rassslin' booking" (which, no, is not a "difficult concept for me to grasp", but it's actually very much mundane and too obvious to even be discussed. Yeah, maybe they'll do well on the indies. And maybe not. And maybe they'll come back later with a better shot. And maybe not. Who cares, that's not my point. You can argue my point is all about semantics. Maybe it is. Still, if I get fired for no reason, lose my income and someone tells me "hey, it's a chance to find yourself", I'd probably slap him in the face. Well, probably not, but you get the idea...)

Copied and pasted from Wikipedia for your reading pleasure. Mahal wrestled for Reality of Wrestling (ROW) under the name Raj Singh at their summer iPPV, ROW Summer of Champions 2014, defeating Jasper Davis.[62] On October 24 at All Star Wrestling (ASW) in Vancouver at the live event Fright Night Live, Singh teamed with his cousin Gama Singh Jr. to defeat Kyle Sebastian and Collin Cutler to win the ASW Tag Team Championship.[63] Between 2014 and 2015, he appeared in Puerto Rican promotion the World Wrestling Council (WWC) against local star Ray Gonzalez.[64][65] He also participated in Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW) Souq Waqif Championship tournament in April 2015, where he ended up as first runner up.[66] On May 5, Singh made his debut for Japanese promotion Inoki Genome Federation (IGF), losing to Wang Bin.[67] In 2016, he also wrestled for The Great Khali's wrestling promotion Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) in India.[68] That Indy Darling, he.

Drew ? I guess so, yeah, he turned a negative into a positive. Jinder ? What ? The only thing he raised was the amount of steroid in his body. He just happened to be there at the right time for a WWE business model experiment, which thus far has produced one of the all-time worst championship stint ever. But it's neither here nor there. If they do well on the indies, good for them. As of now, they have just been fired and lost their income. Painting that as "a chance" is capitalistic corporate horseshit talk, sorry to say. They are not "leaving". They got fired for cost reducing measures...

Not my fault that WWE booking is predictably horrible. I dare you to predict what good things I'm gonna say about their next step though. Lately, Alexa Bliss has been my favourite part of their shows, so there... Not really "in-line" with "people".

I talk like it's the worst place in the world ? Really ? Oh, that's why I said some of those girls from the MYC deserved to be signed, for instance... Or that I'm glad AJ gets his big money break... Or, or, or... But yeah, the "WWE stocks talk" is a joke I had in stocks ( ! ! ! ) for a while now. It's actually pretty amusing to me, the predictability of it (including, to be honest, your last post, which I knew was incoming).

Wow. Getting fired and losing your income = getting a chance to "find yourself". What a bunch of capitalistic corporate horseshit. I wonder if some of you have a bunch of WWE stocks sometimes...
  15. Well, this last show was certainly something, although in the end, I never clicked with Puma as the lead babyface, while Mundo won me over somewhat as a heel. Those last vignettes were exactly why LU is what pro-wrestling should be today. It will be pretty sad if it goes away. But if iit does, well, it's been one hell of a fun ride...
  16. And so, the latest KC project is Vince Russo hosting interviews to recap the Attitude Era... Well, running out of interesting ideas I guess.
  17. "Building up" a 50 year old guy who's been pushed on TV for 20 years as a top guy/monster. Yeah, right, that's really needed...
  18. Abyss. Yes, his gimmick is a rip-off, but as a worker, he's actually pretty consistently carryable to very good/excellent matches, and he does bring tons of goods to the table himself. AJ Styles worked a MOTYC with him in 2005.
  19. Yeah, from memory of the AJPW TV show taped that day, which showed at least the tag title change and Bulldogs vs Rock'n'Roll, the matches were super underwhelming. Pretty much sucked to be honest.
  20. That was my exact thought. That Asuka PPV debut makes even LESS sense now and it didn't make any to begin with. Dumb. As. Fuck. They could have something in her and fucked it up completely. Hope Emma lands somewhere she gets happy and makes money.
  21. I think the debate about "not doing a job" became broader, and Nia has simply become a case study at this point. There actually could be an entire thread about "Refusing to do a job" in the Military Industrial Suplex, makes for interesting discussions of different cases and contexts.
  22. Well, I have nothing against her, the person, obviously. As a worker, I find her to be not very good at her role as I've stated many many times (the comparison with Amazing Kong blasting on TNA in 2007 is murderous). She got her current spot solely because she's from a famous wrestling family and because she's big. So yeah, that makes this kind of selfish behaviour way more grating to me than say, a girl who would have struggled for ten years in indies scrapping for every buck she can make. I mean, good for her that she got the spot, but acting like a prima dona when everything was basically handled to you reeks of Warriorism, if you will. That being said, refusing to do a job when you're basically a midcarder, whether you're the greatest worker ever or a complete tool, just doesn't set well in general, especially in the current form of what pro-wrestling is. Now, for instance, Austin refusing to do a job for Lesnar on free TV when PPV still mattered, that's another kind of case.
  23. That part was obviously sarcastic on my part. But non-usage of smileys makes things difficult sometimes...
  24. I'm absolutely not worked up over it. People bitching about the fact someone made light of Nia for being a puss (if she did refuse to do a job) get worked up about it. So it's kinda fun drilling the point home. Not wanting to do a job on TV in 1985 an not wanting to do a job on TV in 2017 is not exactly the same thing. And really, I guess all of this talk makes Shawn Michaels a great professional in the mid-90's after all... I find it totally juvenile, immature and the sign of having an unwarranted ego, but whatever. And again, it takes two to dance. So, what about the one you refuse to do the job for ? It's a big fuck you to that person, whose been working putting your sad ass over before and taking bumps for making your average offense look deadly. What about that part of the deal ? Funny how the whole thing is twisted into "Good that she stands up for herself against the evil office that wants her to do a job (god forbid)", without taking anything else into consideration. Selfish thinking all the way.
