  1. Exceptional circumstances make exceptional people all that. But his poor wife how many times can someone pick themselves up from disappointments like that?
  2. The thing and the big thing with Sasha is that she quit school at 13 to look after her severely autistic brother so that her single mother could work and support the family. Sasha took classes online to finish high school. Her brother needs expensive specialised care for the rest of his life. A big reason pre-Star Wars why she was never leaving WWE or Wrestling despite rumours last year or whatever. She's someone who needs to embrace the money options always. Especially now when her in-ring and influence is basically sealed. And obviously more power to her.
  3. It IS a Pro Wrestling. I don't doubt a Wrestlemania or (possibly) a Saudi match is in her future. But she doesn't do things by halves and she's always wanted a child. And isn't someone who would have a nanny or anything like that. ANYWAYS excited for her to be compared to Danno O'Mahony as draw in the WON HOF debates lol.
  4. Ah, there's no need. Becky's candidacy will be interesting though. Her run as it stands is probably too short but her high highs were really high and pioneering. I don't want to make the WON HOF woke or anything but I think voters should accommodate for female wrestlers having a shorter window career-wise and draws even just slightly.
  5. The Omega "research" by certain people definitely displayed who you should and shouldn't pay attention to. The 605 podcast specifically was really embarrassing for all involved.
  6. Re: Lana spending 100k a year on ring gear maybe talk to a female wrestler or woman once like jeez.
  7. His Art Of Wrestling episode 2011 or so time was a lot. Was a drug addict and then a drug counsellor on a positive path. But then VERY sadly in recent years relapsed again. And has been known for contacting fans to send him money in various forms in seemingly desperate circumstances. Addiction is cruel and America has a profound opioid crisis. I am waiting for more/third party info on his current situation personally but he's a clear victim no matter what. An extremely well-liked person between fans and wrestlers of every generation he has existed in. Deserves a lot better.
  8. I love takes like these when they don't even acknowledge his DDT run.
  9. The most comprehensive read WWE appears to have a Drake Wuertz problem - Babyface v. Heel (substack.com)
  10. Was told on Friday things were coming to a head with Drake and tweeted the same. And that WWE would wait a distance so that Bix wouldn't get the credit. I suspect he was reprimanded when he rolled up into work Monday morning and then logged into socials and ripped Bix.
  11. Seemed to be the Light Side Of The Ring.
  12. Her in-ring work isn't close to where it needs to be. But she does have "it" and it has always been obvious to me. Management is super high on her. But fortunately, COVID ruined plans as not only she can't work live events she was also meant to be sent to NXT UK (flying over monthly) to develop and grow there much like Rhea Ripley did very successfully. You have to go back a couple of episodes to track the genesis of Indi's relationship with the Garganos - the October 7th episode where Indi buys them a new plasma TV as Tegan Nox smashed it. The storyline got derailed a bit for a spell as Indi had to quarantine so they put "Indi" in a Halloween costume to cover for that. Yeah didn't think Raw and Smackdown still wanted her or her old gimmick. Wants to be a new Ember Moon.
  13. You are completely correct on ROH and IMPACT. MLW contracts were looser/not future-proofed. Most MLW contracts written prior to AEW's existence and therefore didn't exclude talent from working AEW. The most recent wave of MLW contracts excludes their talent from working AEW.
  14. That's my thing. I wonder what is next? I assume "Mark" becomes a full-time coach at NXT. I expect this PPV to be pretty decent. The card could deliver strongly. And this era of WWE has been the tale of two companies. Largely awful TV but with then really well-judged "WWE is good again" type PPVs. They are very good at resetting or laying the table the inability to follow up and sustain interest is the issue.
  15. Meltzer took direct and thinly veiled shots out of relatively nowhere towards Jim on Twitter over a fairly long stretch of time. I've very little time for what Cornette has evolved into but Dave definitely sowed the seeds.
  16. Likely the case. Also, "PMA" (Positive Mental Attitude) advocates always end up becoming pretty toxic or passive-aggressive. I will say Cody has a lot to work on and has said so publicly about how he talks to people especially over text especially now he's an executive. People in AEW who have a neutral "Cody is Cody" opinion of him or a negative one have told me and others that they think very little of how Louie has conducted himself online in the last 24 hours. Also, wrestlers in AEW and WWE are just REALLY tired generally when it comes to the social media swarm or the immediate/unfair mobbing up by fans towards successful people. So Louie is getting the cold shoulder more than you might expect from people inside of Pro Wrestling who may have taken the opportunity to twist the knife with Cody.
  17. I haven't but you'd probably find this review helpful: https://www.postwrestling.com/2020/11/08/book-review-we-promised-you-a-great-main-event/
  18. Huh? It is Moxley and Martinez.
  19. In the last two months, Meltzer has indicated Rock really, really wants to put over Roman for reals and would like to have a match/moment with his daughter Simone. Hollywood productions and insurance are a very real thing as you have said. Personally of the "I'll see it when I believe it" opinion. I think both scenarios and him Wrestling again generally comes down to his mother still being alive at the time and guilt-tripping him.
  20. No Way Jose reportedly being hired back in the last x weeks a weird one in contrast - besides having the same rep as a nice low maintenance guy. The epitome of a live event opening act. Not so much of anything in an empty arena environment.
  21. Maybe one or two indies (in a pandemic) AKA even IMPACT passed. No AEW Dark tryout/gig etc. She's married to Eddie Guerrero's daughter Shaul and hosts a Whiskey review Youtube channel! Anyways he's a really nice guy by all accounts. Shaul has been very public in the media about her father's untimely death, her mother being mocked on TV for a living during her high school years and the Guerrero's being disposed to substance abuse and depression. Meeting Matt really was the making of her and helped her cope with a lot of understandable baggage.
  22. A lot of fans have largely gotten the Zelina news out of their systems over the course of the weekend. The modern news cycle is pretty rough and short. And it isn't like fans can protest in mass at Raw currently. And as always with WWE the machine will just keep on rolling. WWE had three women in limbo waiting to be used on main roster TV - Chelsea Green, Vanessa Bourne and Santana Garrett and to replace a Zelina Vega. And modern WWE wrestlers are made to be interchangeable on screen on top of that.
  23. Those Big Cass stories have never been proven by the way. Sami and Kevin Owens are/were good friends of Enzo and Cass.
  24. R-Truth and Carmella were very good on live events. Bringing children into the ring to dance with them, putting them at ease and that sort of thing. Back when WWE did live events....
  25. Sasha probably needs a one month feud with a character heel as a palette cleanse. But yeah all of the above.
