  1. There's been genuine WWE/NXT cuts rumours the last 3 weeks or so internally. People are on edge. I've only heard the opposite with AEW and no matter how much fans online write spurious and bafflingly lists of talent they would cut in a recent fad.
  2. She said at the STARDOM press conference she has family in the UK and wants to spend more time with them. She had a WWE tryout in 2016. I always heard that WWE passed on her as she had surgery on a brain tumour a couple of years prior to that and that her health situation was fairly tenuous. But standards have since changed and Bea also has displayed more longevity than she was expected to have at the time. She excels at working super stiff and sometimes actively dangerously so. Not sure how much that will work out in WWE and their more showy TV style.
  3. You were of course badly wrong about this: Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
  4. This bizarre anti-hard on for Christian is so irrational. The quarter hours haven't been published yet. AEW had a weak lead-in with a film endlessly aired on TNT and Christian's match was never advertised as the opener.
  5. He looked like he could still go in the Royal Rumble. In his exchanges with Daniel Bryan in particular. AEW doesn't need another Sting and Big Show. They need some who can work regularly.
  6. I don't think the objective of Christian's debut is purely ratings. It seems to be a purposely understated/underpromoted debut so he can blow away expectations in-ring and to sell his Out Work Everyone gimmick. I think AEW read the fan feedback to their big PPV surprise mistake and pivoted a bit.
  7. I am tired of Charlotte in this position personally. And I know she most likely doesn't read this forum so my message of "go easy on her" isn't directly literal. But I will say today is the anniversary of her brother's death and she has just recovered from testing positive for COVID-19. I'd rather she been kept in her intended spot than being removed from it.
  8. Vince has the final say. I don't it happens in his lifetime.
  9. Tony's answer last May: AEW/Dynamite completely went off the rails in this segment and after a lot of bad Creative that December so Tony tightened the reins but he's still very approachable and open to suggestion:
  10. Jim Cornette and Brian Last's latest claim to put out there is that Tony Khan is on "something" and Jim specifically said it is Adderall. If true it would explain how he is able to fill so many roles across numerous businesses. And of course, his spurious booking output that often lacks details or the very weak middles to his start, middle and ends of his storylines.
  11. 52:35 A lot of surrounding people discounted the story/situation since.
  12. That's not strictly true Malia Hosaka hates her. Which makes her a bit of a meme in certain circles. But she's a bitter goofball who doesn't matter.
  13. The Brodie tribute show was a deeply separate situation. But yeah they distinctly wanted to avoid the ratings tanking in December 2020 as they did in December 2019. But yeah they leaned on/TNA'd too much on branded Dynamite episodes for sure. I have already ordered the PPV but it is a colder proposition regardless of the extreme title stip. MJF and Page were hotter before the last PPV. The undercard is over gimmicked up (to cover for bad storytelling). The women's division is "busy" but without a coherent through-line or direction and just prolonging putting the title on Britt.
  14. Anyway. You have to assume Moxley gets exploded into paternity leave.
  15. He's signed for like 2 years. Again it will be Christian barring a swerve or surprise. He fits the bill, all teases to a tee and would fit in extremely well in AEW on and off-screen.
  16. sek69 used the word mega star not AEW. He's a big star was last used as one by WWE in the Rumble and has 1.2 million Twitter followers despite basically never tweeting.
  17. Christian will be inducted into pretty much every Hall of Fame operating outside of the WON HOF one when gets older. A total lock. Pretending otherwise just silly. Christian is a mega star by relative standards. He got the loudest reaction at this year's Royal Rumble and was in the final four of it too. And it is getting more and more certain that I am right and he will be the surprise on Sunday.
  18. How isn't Christian Hall of Fame worthy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Cage#Championships_and_accomplishments I don't understand this mental block at all about it.
  19. The reference didn't go over my head. The fans there live will lose their shit if he debuts. How most wrestling fans view Christian is pretty similar to most younger wrestlers. Christain has a real reputation and a very strong body of in-ring work. He is not comparable to Nattie.
  20. You are respectfully totally out to lunch with that comparison
  21. He's one of the biggest influences on the AEW roster along with the things I've listed. People acting like it would be a letdown astound me especially when they don't offer realistic/practical answer or suggestion.
  22. It did a lot of looking into it. And people in AEW even think it will be Christian. I don't really understand why Christian would be a letdown. Social media lost their minds for his cameo in the Royal Rumble this year and he's a perennial "smart mark" favourite. In terms of the ladder match, I thought it would be "Speedball" Mike Bailey but he played that down today. He was banned for 5 years for illegally entering the US to wrestle from Canada and his ban is up this month. But there's still a lot of red tape involved to get back into the US:
  23. For all the questions and cynicism NWA reverting back to the original theme has me very pleased. F
  24. This aired tonight on IMPACT: We live in interesting times. NWA and AEW obviously worked together. But Corgan/NWA and Anthem Entertainment that own IMPACT don't really get a long. But yeah the FITE deal doesn't seem too promising. Putting the product behind a paywall with no "shop window" seems unwise with so much Wrestling for free and better talent elsewhere.
