I don't know how this show is forgettable given how long they've built Omega/Page and FTR/Bucks specifically. Most fans are staying it is their most stacked show yet and I'd agree. Wednesday's Dynamite was a very strong go-home show too.

Like with James Storm Kay signed on with the NWA with the understanding that if WWE gave them "the call" the NWA would grant them their release. There's a lot of people inside of Pro Wrestling who really like her personally and just simply want her to finally land a big contract. I assume AEW gave her a legitimate offer and NWA granted her a release on a similar basis. She's good friends with Eddie Kingston after working for the same promotions together over the years. So I assume that worked in her favour too. Zicky Dice apparently is the next person out the door with the NWA. Relations have gone south and his contract is up in December.

They use to follow the old New Japan model of annual contracts that would be renewed every January. Like with New Japan they were pressured by competition from WWE to offer 2-5 year deals a few years ago. But still a lot of deals are up this January even so. And once again WWE is again on a big signing spree - Dragon Lee seems to be leaving ROH for example. Also with COVID ROH will have to really think about releasing some of the exiled foreign talent. So yeah you'd would put your titles on your core roster as much as possible right now.

I found the final of the Pure tournament pretty flat. Last match of the tapings type of energy. Josh Woods showed a little extra but yeah it didn't make any stars.

I really do get that POV. But I really liked the last two marathon-length Darks. The NJ/NY crew they brought in is probably the best "van" they've had - Leyla and Bowens & Caster more than earned contracts, while the VSKs earned a call back at least. While their homegrowns - Lee Johnson, Kylynn King, Red Velvet are starting to bear fruit.

Ask any indie promoter where the views from Women's and especially Intergender Wrestling come from, why and what gets written in the comments section.

Please stop. A lot of innocuous Women's Wrestling have 10s of millions of views as they are displaying bare flesh. I don't know how that is "borderline racist" or controversial. Layla is one of the best wrestlers/causes I've set my eyes on in several years. Her Dark and Dynamite matches sadly lacked a live crowd as previously she's wildfire. She wouldn't have wrestled Shida on AEW Dark night one and then Deeb on Dynamite night two in the same taping if management and influential talent weren't sold on her. Just watch the video.

I like funny and characters in Pro Wrestling more than most but IMPACT's serious:funny ratio is way out of wack for a Wrestling show with the talent they have. It would be one thing if it was connecting but it isn't at all. Also, Scott D'More (who is a good performer don't get me wrong) appearing on IMPACT more and more should ring alarm bells.
