  1. Most likely it was Lana coming on to his live stream in a bikini. Lana has been banned from other platforms (TikTok) as she lives in bikinis basically and shows a lot of skin.
  2. When it comes to creating homegrowns the lack of one to one training time/the wrestler to coach ratio is a real issue there. If you know anyone about the situation people will tell you the coaches are SO overstretched there due to the amount of talent on the books. Also with it being an in-house training facility run by a publicly-traded company coaches and management often are reluctant to give truly honest feedback or any feedback at all. Triple H/"the office" is overly concerned with cohesion to point questioning things and being assertive will get you heat for being pushy. Which doesn't really breed ambition or a front runner personality that you'd traditionally associate with a Pro Wrestling draw.
  3. Dusty's death, NXT head writer Ryan Ward being promoted to the main roster, the FCW hold over talent moving up to the main roster, long time soundboards character developmental wise Xavier Woods and Tyler Breeze being promoted to the main roster, signing people off the indies so no one else could have them rather out of their actual potential or need for them in NXT or the main roster, the advent of the Shawn Michaels advanced class being the final exam that everyone works towards now.
  4. Still has 4 plus years left on her deal. Got one of those big contracts late last year that Gallows and Anderson and others sign BUT managed to a dodge being released somehow.
  5. *IF* Eddie signed the same extension offered to everyone a couple of months back, they are up at the end of August with a company rollover option through December. I've NO idea about Eddie's actual contract situation is. He's playing his cards close to his vest as anyone would in his position with any common sense. But I personally do know from the AEW side AEW intends to at least bring him back for more "shots" at least.
  6. Mike Johnson noted that NXT very recently hired 2-3 more writers for the show. The brand does need a massive rebuild of their babyfaces and tag division so they might be actually needed. But I do regard it as unfortunate news as writers write to perpetuate their jobs. They are more likely to present ideas for skits than suggesting a 2 or 3 segment match for example.
  7. Yeah, it was one of the great Dynamite episodes. Hard to believe last week's show was the live one and this was taped in terms of urgency and dynamism. Kingson came across as must sign to be me. Ivelisse's performance was pretty listless and sad. Came across as carrying injuries that hobbled her for forever and/or not being able to pay for the surgery required. I know she totally flamed out of her Performance Center tryout in April 2019 before anyone put the screws to her. She's largely shot. Time moves on.
  8. She's wrestling Diamante as she's one of her few friends. A pet opponent basically. Things will get really interesting if she gets over and then gets to wrestle people she had past with or friends of people who she had a past with. Ivelisse is a very sad story relative to her potential, talent and the time in which she existed in. She would get a lot of support if she admitted her mistakes and got help. But she has never shown any capacity to do so. Personally interested to find out if she still can "go" after a couple of bad breaks with leg and foot injuries in the past few years. But if I am sharing a locker room with her I am running a million miles and avoiding getting written up by AEW HR for some he said/she said thing or having a drama that leaks to the internet.
  9. Well, this got weird. Ivelisse has a long history of backstage fights of all kinds and hurting people in the ring. Most US indies won't book her as a lot of wrestlers male and female would pull out of the show if they did . Which is why she basically wrestles once a month.
  10. The production, lack of crowd and Moose/Dreamer are my main concerns. The returns and debut/almost Slamboree Legends Reunion gimmick will extend the show to a decent and enjoyable PPV window runtime at a time when WWE is ending their PPVs short and is using cinematic matches to break from the sterile no fans environment.
  11. I haven't read "soyboys" in like 18 months ironically or non-ironically.
  12. Plainly and clearly Tony Khan doesn't want Tessa in AEW. Put his foot down on the issue privately. IMPACT should deserve zero credit for releasing those they have they are just making space in the budget/roster for the recently released WWE talent.
  13. Very much with ELP on the North. In general and the fact they don't get acclaim for being one of best acts of the COVID era.
  14. I've never heard about any incidents with Terry in NXT when it comes to race in all honesty. Even yesterday The Street Profits put over Terry in their appearance on The Bump. Keith Lee has said in the media that Terry has been the most helpful person to him since he got to NXT.
  15. I assume Rhea finally overcomes and beats Charlotte at Summerslam for the Raw title. Bryan Alvarez has the same idea as me.
  16. WWE was likely sponsoring his Drake Maverick's Visa too. If WWE fired him he'd have to go back to England without his wife.
  17. If you watched the initial one or two weeks of the tournament Tozawa vs El Hijo del Fantasma was very clearly the final. The tournament was a backdrop to the parking lot abduction storyline. Drave Maverick is both very highly intelligent and someone who is a mark for the Pro Wrestling business to the point of a character flaw. I don't think you can really call him exploitable. The actual reality he just knows how to play the game and say the right things. He originally quit a career in the financial sector to become a wrestler.
  18. Assume everyone in NXT on TV is locked down long term until authoritatively told by a reputable source. The roster all signed new/upgraded contracts in the Winter of 2019 as a result of the USA Network and the "NXT is the main roster" declaration. TUE will likely end up on the main roster by year-end.
  19. Rusev lives in Nashville and IMPACT's COVID era filming location is Nashville. Makes sense even for a limited engagement.
  20. Watch the last half hour of IMPACT last night and tell me the rumours that go back to Wrestlemania weekend time that Russo is back as a consultant aren't true. But largely I do agree. Regardless of that IMPACT while happy with the Creative effort largely has been very frustrated about the lack of talk, energy and excitement around the product for last year or so at least so they are swinging for the fences to fix it.
  21. Yeah, I am really surprised Lee's knees and back aren't already shot. He played college football and he's someone his size and frame that worked the style of the day on the indies for a number of years. Big E is a year younger to provide some perspective.
  22. A lot of the EVPs and even Tony Khan displayed a lot of the worst signs of their personalities or what the public perceives as their personalities this weekend. In my opinion, AEW showed that they are still a very young company by not recognising the significance of this weekend and AEW's exposure to potential criticism. Tony displayed a lack of leadership by not calling an emergency conference call with his EVPs in how to handle things and displaying a uniform message. That said AEW is also the most over-analysed Wrestling company on social media. And there's a portion of social media who know how to game and/or weaponise the app and/or turn even the most thoughtful statement against you. This is PWO and this is as far as I'll go and you are free to disagree.
  23. Fightful does and she isn't signed anywhere currently. It is a tryout/feeling out process between both parties.

    AEW Dark Megathread

Lee Johnson has quickly become one to watch. Tag team Alan Angels and Shawn Dean together is probably the best approach as as singles they'd be competing for the same spot. And AEW has endless tag teams.
  25. It didn't. She's done a million interviews very clearly stating things yet people are recklessly speculating. She simply wants to get back to the wrestler she was before WWE signed her. She was left very demoralised by her experience in NXT, was signed to be signed and never won on TV. Wants to work the indies and Japan first. Cody and Omega are high on her. It is in AEW and Deonna's best interest she gets the NXT stink off her. As Fightful reported today Deonna hasn't signed a contract with IMPACT.
