The finale last night was so awesome especially Big Show who was kingsized in everything he did.

You understand where they are coming from because like they put over on commentary these guys need their jobs to support their families and whatever so they had to sit there and watch DB get his shit kicked in as punishment for laughing about Orton's car.

This angle is perfect BTW to introduce a new character as someone who will help DB.

Given the roster, who would you introduce? Hero? Ritchie Steamboat? I don't know. Styles? When's Rey due back?

It shouldn't be a small guy like Styles or Rey. Having two underdogs vs the World makes no sense in the DB storyline. The perfect candidate would actually have been Kane if not for the Wyatt storyline.

I didn't realize Sami Callihan was only 5'10". I got nothing. They obviously wasted Brody Lee's debut.

If they booked Callihan as bigger than his height, he could work. Especially if he brought a huge amount of intensity to his character. Maybe a psycho conspiracy theorist type who lives off the grid. Who wants to mess with that kind of guy, knowing he is one snap away from taking everyone out with an AK-47? But if he comes in as a typical underdog as well as DB, no.

How do you know the Wyatt Family wouldn't? Along with Kane? There not the type of characters who would care about paychecks. Plus this is the type of storyline that would cause Bryan to go to the dark side for help, knowing he couldn't get it from the usual roster. The Wyatts, and the way they are, are about as anti-corporate as you can get. Plus, it would set up that Wyatts vs. Shield feud that many people hope for.

And it fits the news bit about HHH wanting to push the Wyatts hard. That is a fantastic idea.

Seriously, they've actually opened up a lot of doors for the Wyatt Family and how they can be inserted into this storyline. "They've been lying to you!" Who's they? Could it be the McMahons and Hunter, who just recently turned heel (and Bray saw it before anyone else did)? There's also the obvious visual (beards unite!). Also, the Wyatts have a cool act, but they're not so big that they'd overshadow Bryan. That's something I worry about if people like Big Show, Henry, RVD or even Dolph finally get the cahones to help Bryan (nothing against any of those guys in that sense, but Bryan's the guy they're trying to push).

FWIW, they're heavily advertising on WWEShop Bray's new T-shirt, and you do see some lamb masks in the crowd already, so there's also the merch factor.

My fantasy booking for all this would be Bryan booked in a seemingly 5-on-1 handicap match on the go-home RAW before NoC to finally finish him off before the big rematch. Shield, Orton and HHH dons the tights once again for this purpose. Oh, and all the roster is brought out similarly as the past two weeks and anyone on that stage who tries to join Bryan is immediately fired of course, but Bryan can try to get any four people he wants. Heels come out for the match first, Bryan next with a shit-eating grin on his face. Next thing you know..."We're here"...then eventually followed by the new, improved Kane, however that will be. Perhaps the go-home RAW is enough time for Kane to grow a decent beard. We'll see. :)

No way is Sami Callihan 5'10 he is super short. 5'4-5'5ish

Only problem is I don't want HHH to get involved in-ring just yet. He shouldn't wrestle until Survivor Series at earliest, but definitely not til a PPV of some kind. There's still time to introduce a second tier heel aligned with the HHH faction... someone that would ultimately be a patsy for DB to run through to extend the angle.

Speaking of Big Show on RAW, I'm not saying this is what they should've done, but can you imagine how nuts the crowd would've went if he whacked Orton and Trips with KO Punches as they walked to the back. He'd instantly be at least like the #2 over guy on the roster.

I get the criticism that it makes the roster look weak. It works for the angle but it really is sacrificing everyone else at the alter of that angle. I do find it interesting how Bryan is sort of playing the held-down white collar employee who is empowered vs. his bosses because he's not scared of losing the cushy job like everyone else is. Interesting parallel to how Austin was the blue collar worker who just totally lived out a beating but your boss fantasy.

Guest TheGreatPuma

So KENTA wins the title with Dragon's finisher and Dragon wins the title with KENTA's finisher. That's pretty freaking awesome. Two of the best and two of my favourite wrestlers in the world doing a tribute to each other in their moments of glory. KENTA's finisher really fits Bryan's style right now and makes a lot of sense. I also looove the running kicks to the corner that both of them use.

I'm surprised how many people seem to think turning the Wyatt family is a good idea. They debuted like 2 months ago and are barely established as heels at this point. I'm not even sure how over the act is apart from the vignettes and music/entrance. Plus everyone agrees that Rowan sucks, but people want to stick him in a prime spot in the biggest angle in the company? Not to mention that WWE is already unbalanced on the babyface side.

I'm seeing a lot of stock being put in the news item that HHH is high on them and views them as faces down the line....maybe that's the case, but it's criminally early to pull the trigger on that.

I think a much cooler use of them, if Kane does in fact show up as a brainwashed follower of Bray's, is to have Bryan confront him and Kane to be oblivious to who Bryan is or their past together.....and then maybe you spin off a story of Kane breaking away from there. But I don't want to see the Wyatt's and Kane march down to save Bryan from Orton and The Shield....that would IMO suck

Thankfully I really doubt WWE is thinking in that direction

I don't know why everyone (not here per se) wants to rush the big payoff of the faces helping out - it's been two weeks(!). And while something unorthodox like the Wyatts would be great, there's no way their storytelling is that creative. It'll be The Big Show, Ziggler and Miz on his team for the Battleground PPV. I love them cooling off the title matches between Bryan and Orton with the in-between Battleground show (hopefully) but Hell in a Cell looms close after (three weeks - I thought we got rid of that damn 13th show)...
