Loss
The WM tickets are usually sold before any matches are announced, so it would be more based on how hot WWE is at the time of the on-sale.
NintendoLogic
I went to a house show at the Norfolk Scope tonight with my brother and his friend. It was the first event I've attended live since WM23 and my first house show since right before WM21. The turnout looked really good. Every section was full or close to it except for the area above the Titantron, which I'm guessing was closed off. Â First match was Miz vs. Big E. About what you'd expect between these two. Miz worked the leg for a little bit but then forgot about it. Big E won with the Big Ending. I've heard that it looks even worse live than it does on TV, but it didn't really come across that way to me. Â Next was Real Americans vs. R-Truth/Xavier Woods. There must have been a lot of little Jimmies in attendance, because Truth was super-over. Zeb got some cheap heat first by confusing Norfolk with Roanoke and then by bringing up UVA's loss in the NCAA tournament. He asked Cesaro what the Swiss word for choke was, which was pretty funny. Solid match with a really good FIP section. The Real Americans got tons of heel heat overall, but the giant swing got a nice pop. Cesaro only did eight revolutions, which was kind of disappointing. He then got the win with the Neutralizer. Â Next was Damien Sandow vs. Sheamus, who got the biggest pop of the night so far. The match started with Sandow Pearl Harboring Sheamus while he was high-fiving fans at ringside. Sandow showed some pretty impressive viciousness on offense. Sheamus got the win with a Brogue Kick after a short comeback. Sandow then cried foul and demanded another opponent, which prompted Big Show to come out and hit him with the KO punch. Â Next was the Bella Twins/Eva Marie vs. Alicia Fox/Aksana/Layla. Fans got to vote via text and Twitter whether this would be an actual match or a dance-off, and the match won. To be honest, I don't really remember anything about this match. Â Next was Daniel Bryan vs. Kane. Bryan was insanely over. This was a really good match. Bryan's shoulder was taped up, so Kane spent most of the match working on the arm. Bryan had Kane in the Yes Lock, but Ryback ran out for the DQ. Bryan fought him off, but the Real Americans came back out to make it three-on-one. The Shield came out to make the save, which got the biggest pop yet. Kane tried to attack Bryan from behind with a chair after the faces cleared the ring, but Bryan caught him and hit him with the busaiku knee. Â Intermission. Â First match after intermission was Fandango/Summer Rae vs. Dolph Ziggler/Emma. This was basically a comedy match. The finish came when Dolph hit the fameasser and Summer Rae tried to break up the pin only to inadvertently low-blow Fandango. The girls then brawled to the outside and Dolph hit the Zig Zag for the win. Â Next was Bad News Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston. Barrett cut a "Look at my crazy passport" promo before the match. There were several "CM Punk" chants during the match, which tells you how much the crowd was into it. Overall, it was solid but unspectacular, but it did get better as it went on. Barrett got the pin when he hit Kofi with a forearm as he was coming off the top. Â The main event was Goldust/Cody Rhodes/John Cena vs. the Wyatts. Cena got the biggest pop of the night, but there were quite a few boos as well. I was under the impression that house show crowds were uniformly behind Cena because the fans who booed him didn't go to them. Maybe the rise of Bryan and the Shield and the like is bringing them back. Someone should look into that. It should be noted that once the match began, the crowd was 100% behind Cena. Not only was this the MOTN, it'd probably be my MOTY so far if it had happened on TV. Goldust and Cody both played FIP, and both were awesome at it. Dustin's was the best, but Cody was no slouch. The roof came off the place when Cena tagged in and again when he got the win with an AA. My brother thought the Goldust FIP section was boring. In related news, I no longer have a brother. Â Overall, the show was really good. It was like a high-end Raw from a match quality standpoint minus all the bullshit. Two and a half hours just flew by. Thumbs up for sure. Cross Face Chicken Wing
Rumors flying that Shane McMahon will be at Mania  Hopefully sitting somewhere in the audience, enjoying the show. Or hanging out backstage, enjoying the show. As long as he doesn't show up on screen, it'll be great to have Shane in the house.

SteveJRogers
If they could get Austin to headline they could probably draw 100k. When Cena was on Austin's show, he was baiting Austin to face him at the SF WrestleMania next year.
tim
It would make sense for Shane to be involved with the downfall of Steph & Trips...we will see if it happens  Time for Bryan's big win to descend into a McMahon family drama angle. Daniel Bryan's gonna need to associate with some real star power to keep ratings up!
Loss
I fully expect the night after Mania to be Stephanie about to do something really horrible to Daniel Bryan when "No Chance In Hell" starts playing.
Slasher
I fully expect the night after Mania to be Stephanie about to do something really horrible to Daniel Bryan when "No Chance In Hell" starts playing. Â Â Honestly I've seen the speculation of Vince returning as Bryan's white knight and I just don't see it. What has transpired since last fall when Vince McMahon questioned John Cena's selection of Daniel Bryan as his Summerslam opponent and his viability as a main event act/world champion (then further on in the storyline appearing in support of the Authority championing Randy Orton as their face of the company) that indicates the Vince McMahon character should all of sudden have faith in Daniel Bryan as a the top guy? What Stephanie has been saying in promos up to and following the Occupy RAW segment is exactly how I picture the Vince McMahon character feeling about the whole thing. We are talking about a megalomaniac billionaire with a Kiss My Ass club, with a trademark "You're Fired" catchphrase, with everything pompous seeping out of his pores here. When it was talked about that he would come in as a babyface in opposition to the Authority, I figured it would come in a storyline like when Stephanie and Triple H tormented the Rhodes. That would be a perfect example of the businessman side of Vince appealing to the babyface sense. Teaching his young charges that you need to have respect for people who can do business with you like Dusty Rhodes can. That would be an angle that makes sense for Vince to come out at some point and say "Hey wait a minute guys, you're going about this the wrong way here. Let me teach you a lesson." But Daniel Bryan's storyline? He just had a bunch of fans bully the WWE into altering the main event of Wrestlemania and forcing his son in law, a guy he hopes to some day take over the company, into a fight, embarrassing countless WWE officials in the process. Why would this egomaniac ever come into support of this? Â On a semi related but not really note: It's funny. Everyone got upset because in 2004, Shawn Michaels came out and superkicked the rightful owner of the main event slot at Wrestlemania and forced his way into the match and the fans did not like this at all. Ten years later, we are all cheering the Shawn Michaels this time. I guess it really comes down to who we like and how we tolerate their conduct that shapes the storylines, rather than the general morality and ethics of how we come to see people conduct themselves in WWE storylines. Steenalized
The Taker-Brock opening at least had Brock on top, but I couldn't care less about that match at this point. Brock isn't an unstoppable monster and Taker isn't going to lose.
Loss
I think his problem would be less with the treatment of Daniel Bryan and more with Stephanie acting like she owns the place. He gets to do that. She doesn't.
Loss
And the problem in 2004 was with the logical plothole of a contract being drafted in Benoit's name but signed by Shawn being enough reason to create a three-way because there was no other legal way out. Dylan Waco
Literally laughed my ass off at them announcing the tag title match for the pre-show. It's the only match on the card I am even mildly excited about, and it's placement on the 2-hour pre-show virtually assures that HHH v. Bryan will be a thirty plus minute HHH strokefest, the battle royal will be needlessly long and boring, divas will take up a scary chunk of time, et. At this point ten dollars is starting to feel like a rip off.

tim
i dont get why they dont have the divas match on the pre-show. its only there to be filmed for total divas and it's not like the target audience of that show will care if it were on the main card or the pre-show, or even know what either of those terms mean. Â anyway, few things annoy me more than commentary actually referring to kane as "corporate kane"
goodhelmet
Man, is that the best Big E Langston singles match? I understand that WWE has really dropped the ball with ADR's character but he is still one of the best mechanics they have in getting enjoyable matches on a week to week basis. Steenalized
I can't think of a better Big E match off hand, so I'd say yes. He hasn't had a lot of time to shine, but him and ADR do good in there.

I understand that dilemma. I am just slightly amused that we (being the majority of the smart mark section of the audience) were outraged that Shawn Michaels weaseled his way into something we saw as Chris Benoit's rightful place as the challenger to the champion (I'm not even getting into the absurdity of him deciding to chase Triple H's World title all of sudden after laboring to get the WWE title held by Brock Lesnar). Now ten years later, we (myself included) were begging for Daniel Bryan to force his way into the match that Batista "rightfully" won an opportunity to be in. We even booed the guy who simply did what he had to do to get the spot, by winning the Royal Rumble. It just speaks to the nature of the wrestling fan who doesn't care how things get to a point, as long as they get what they want (although to be fair to us, we anticipated and hoped for a much different road to get to this point). The Chief
Big E really needs a JR type on commentary to get him over. Put over how he can bench over 500 lbs, etc. Put over what his finisher is actually doing. I never liked finishers that end in a front bump since logically the opponent should be able to protect himself, they need to say how he's crushing their lower back or something. And he needs to talk more.
