SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

-Daniel Bryan's music hits – big pop – but Stephanie McMahon comes out instead. She tells the crowd to chant "YES" for Daniel Bryan's successful surgery last week. However, she's afraid she's got some bad news… Stephanie talks about stripping Bryan of the WWE title, and who she might give it to. She asks about Kane, then Bad News Barrett – big pop – or maybe Triple H? The crowd breaks out in a crazy "CM PUNK!" chant. Steph says she won't strip Daniel Bryan of the title, but he must show up to Raw next week and surrender the belt.

I feel bad for Bryan. I hope they put the title back on him as soon as he can return. This has been a depressing half year to be a wrestling fan

Are you two married or something?

I don't want to read up any more on this than what's already been spoiled in here, but it sounds like they're holding out for as long as they can before they commit to a decision about Bryan and the belt, no?

I found their first round match from the IC Contender's Tourney last month to be really enjoyable actually. Wasn't a big fan of their feud last year or that series at all really, but that RAW match came across okay. Saw some neat spots worked in with their usual shtick, and even the sloppier stuff just came across as snugger work. Not too shabby, considering how it COULD have went down.

Ambrose is absolutely killing it on commentary.

Steph imitating Bryan's entrance was much better than her Jericho impression in 01. Just in a lot less hot outfit. I'm I the only one that remembers that segment? I remember that outfit. Good promo from Steph. Looks like she has dropped the feigned concern act. Good as it just wasn't clicking

I can't figure out how to spell Zeb Colter's version Hedonism but that was hilarious :D

This is definitely the city that should have debuted Adam Rose. Although to be fair this crowd is still doing the Fandago dance in 2014 so maybe not the best judge

Oh man RVD vs Albert Del Rio. That has sloppy potatofest written all over it

That reminds me of something. RVD had quite a bit of heat on him back when he first debuted for WWE in 2001 because he kept busting people open with stiff kicks.

I think the word you're looking for is sloppy, not stiff.

Think I’m done with regularly watching for a while as well. The whole show has gone from fresh and exciting to stale and predictable, week after week. Endless lame, lengthy promos by Bray Wyatt, and his never ending feud with Cena that doesn’t even progress into anything.

Characters like Kane, Rusev and Wyatt that are cheesy, unbelievable and feel like someone trying too hard and playing a role without any subtelty. The bad writing doesn’t help. Matches occurring for no particular reason – wasting future money matches like Roman Reigns vs Batista as a throwaway free television bout, or just having tag teams wrestle each other in rotation with no rhyme or rhythm or consistent plan. No real build to anything or sense of suspense. Hot characters stagnating. Wins and losses being meaningless because they are traded that often, usually making little sense at all other than who the writers decided to job out that show. The lack of any focus on midcard or lower card feuds.

How a feud starts these days by having a match – which leads to more and more versions of the same match. Surely the aim is to start the feud and build up excitement for the eventual match?

Most of all the shows are just too long and too boring, just churning out the same lazy promos and feuds and matches that we’ve been seeing for year upon year. A real letdown, considering how stoked I was in the couple of weeks after Wrestlemania. Never takes them long to stagnate and disappoint.

Why do some fans complain about them "giving away money matches on TV"? What's it to you?

I think there are a couple of levels. One is that people do follow things on a business level. The other is something you can appreciate a bit more and that's build and payoff. Why do Austin vs Brock on a random Raw when you can spend weeks building up to it on PPV. I think most people would be fine if you spent weeks building up to it and making it matter for a well-hyped Raw. Sort of like the NXT specials, but it means less if you just toss it on TV without build.

This is a silly complaint. Some of the best feuds ever have started this way.

I warned you guys in this very thread, when people were super high on WWE around Mania.......you won't stick around, because it won't always be like this. They always go into a post-WM lull. The product is what it is and I enjoy it for what it is. Last night's RAW was full of good stuff. But there's all these people like, "meh, I gave it a chance and now I'm done with it" which I totally saw coming. Expecting it to be pre and post-WM RAW every week is just unrealistic expectations

I still think it's how you watch Raw. I did it in maybe an hour this morning on youtube. I fast forwarded through the singing in the Bray promo to the real thing. I heard Steph. I watched Adam Rose. I watched the Rollins match and the Cena match. I caught Bad News Barrett's promo. I saw Paige's entrance and Alicia's post match antics. I saw the Mark Henry match. I saw Cesaro. I saw R-Truth's entrance because I was confused by it. I saw the Cena/Usos backstage promo since that felt kind of new, and that was it. No recaps. No RVD.

In and out and thinking that it was a pretty fun Raw.

There's still a lot to like about WWE right now. The thing is they're blundering a couple really big things. The Kane/Bryan feud on top is horrendous, the forced and counterproductive heel stuff they're having Cesaro do has seriously damaged his momentum and the Bray/Cena angle is incredibly overwrought. Overall though, the RAWs are MUCH less boring and lazy than they were for most of 2013 and good matches are still coming out at a steady pace. Shield/Evolution is one very bright spot on the shows. I'm positive on WWE overall right now and am interested to see how things develop with the title situation in the next couple weeks, which should tell us a lot.

RVD, though. Ugh.

To be fair....circumstances have really hurt Bryan's title run. Getting married/taking a bit of a vacation after WM.....which was long planned on the books and fine.....then his dad dies.....now he's had neck surgery and they might need to take the title off of him. Give them a break on this. He's barely been on TV since WM. I didn't mind the Kane feud at all as a blowoff to a long running story and 1 month thing. Carrying it out another month (after Bryan completely beat him clean) was a huge stretch and led to one of the lamest angles in recent memory. Cena-Bray......it's been highlighting everything I hate about Cena (and I'm not a Cena hater).

The Shield and Evolution have been carrying the shows and it's the hottest thing going....but some people on the internet don't seem to buy it as a main event angle for some reason and complain about Bryan not being pushed right, as if that's by WWE's choice right now

To me there's still a lot of good stuff on these shows. Some of it is hit and miss.....like it always is. But I've been enjoying the hell out of BNB, Alicia Fox, Heyman & Cesaro, Sheamus, Alicia Fox the last few weeks......lots of good stuff going on
