Johnny Sorrow
I don't watch RAW a ton but I happened to be watching the Kofi-Cesaro match tonight. The match ended on break, seemingly so they could promote your NEED for the WWE App. Does this happen a lot? It didn't make me want to get the WWE app, it just pissed me off. First time I remember. Steenalized
Paige is terrible on the mic. AJ gets the same treatment as everyone else nowadays. She's automatically a face if people are interested.

tim
Not to be too pessimistic, but I don't know about framing Dean Ambrose as "the guy keeping Cena from losing the belts."

Smack2k
Really? One piledriver and one step shot and Cena is out? That was fuckin dumb after all the wars Cena has been in for that to take him out...should have done something else to him...Kane has tombstoned him a million times and Cena comes back and kicks his ass...SO I didn't like that...should have had maybe one other hard shot from something.. Ambrose is a HUGE star in the making, Reigns to...Rollins will serve his purpose and then fall to mid-card I'd guess down the line... Man, the WWE has a LOT of talent right now with a LOT to do with it.... Summerslam is looking to be a GREAT show with the builds starting.. tigerpride
That was not "fuckin dumb." If anything, they are getting the tombstone over as a lethal move, especially given how kayfabe wise, it's the move that put D-Bry out.

Strummer
sescoops, which is almost always accurate, is reporting that the top matches for Summerslam will be Brock/Cena, Reigns/Orton, Jericho/Wyatt and Stephanie McMahon/Brie Bella. Stephanie/Brie will obviously have a stip attached and I guess they are waiting for NOC for Reigns/Hunter

Coffey
Paige is terrible on the mic. Paige is not great, all around. Maybe terrible is too strong of a word but she needs work. You can tell that she's really young & pretty green. She can't talk, at all but not a lot of people can anymore. Scripted promos kill a lot of talent. Her ring work isn't great but like Natalya, if you slap on a submission people ooh & awe & think you're some how "technical" all of a sudden. Even the little things, like Paige's ring entrance, really, really sucks. I don't think she was ready to get called up at all. She wasn't impressive in NXT but a lot of people fawned over her around the internet because she was pretty. They'll deny that's what it was, but that's exactly it. Overrating her because she was attractive. Same shit that happened with Trish Stratus. Obviously some people might disagree with that assessment & could probably make a great argument to the contrary but that is what I have seen & what I feel. If Paige looked like Jazz, no one would care about her at all, in my opinion. Paige is a decent bumper already though. That match at Money in the Bank with Naomi wasn't terrible but that was mostly, surprisingly, because Naomi was doing big, athletic spots. Paige took a couple sick bumps to her credit though. Or maybe to her detriment as the back bump to the outside was dumb. Paige also suffers from horrible booking. Her debut was the pits with her being the in-awe newcomer stumbling over her words to just be in the same ring with the real "star." Then all of her matches were her taking a beating (even by people the live audience has been trained over the years to not take seriously) until she could hit a move to get an out-of-nowhere win that made them all look like flukes. Then, last night, AJ Lee just beat her right after her return, pretty much reenforcing that belief that she was a paper champion & a fluke. She might have reached her ceiling in NXT as I'm not sure what more the people down there actually learn once they're put on TV. She certainly doesn't seem like she's ready for RAW. Then again, WWE put people that aren't ready for RAW on RAW all the time, like Cameron or Eva Marie or girls like Kelly Kelly in the past & Paige is certainly better than them. She's still really young & barring injury, she'll get a lot better. She needs a lot of work though, all around. On her character, her ring work, her promos, everything. Even the shit that a lot of us never talk about & act like it doesn't matter (ring attire, makeup, etc.) -- I know it's a faux pas to mention that stuff...but it matters on the big stage of high def. WWE RAW. I'm all for the women in WWE getting more shine, getting treated better & putting on good matches. The crowd seemed really into the AJ Lee return last night on RAW & the confrontation between AJ Lee & Paige, so I think it's possible, it just takes WWE to get behind them & treat them as equal to the men...which is a long, uphill battle. I have seen great women's wrestling. Mostly in Japan. As long as the fans are acting like Trish Stratus Vs. Lita is the top rung of the ladder, women's wrestling in WWE will always suck. Same goes for the commentary team burying the women, that doesn't help anyone. I know it might not sound like it from this post but I do really like Paige. She's only 21-years-old, for heaven's sake, so she obviously has a lot of upside. Putting her in the ring with Cameron, Aksana, Alicia Fox & Brie Bella is not going to make anyone care about her. Just being better than the rest of the division when the rest of the division is the drizzling shits doesn't mean you're good though, the bar has to be higher. Loss
I think Paige's problems are twofold -- #1, she is better than the PPV death spot but that's all women have ever really done in the company and #2, whoever had the misguided idea that her ticket to getting over was to take no offense and get one big move in the end got it very, very wrong. The Chief
Paige worked a lot more vicious on Raw and I liked it. Somebody on one of the podcasts here said that the heel turn was planned from day one, I can see it now. I think we'll have a better grasp on Paige in the next few months. tim
How important does everyone suppose WWE views Night of Champions internally? That would be where the first round of Network subscriptions are up for renewal. Seems like they'd want to run a big main event but what can they do? Brock vs. Bryan seems obvious if he's back but it seems likely he won't be. I doubt they want to sell the next 6 months of subscriptions on a Cena/Brock re-match. I doubt they'd trust Ambrose or Rollins. Reigns seems possible but I don't know. Cesaro seems out of the question.
Loss
Dave thinks they should have Heyman cost Cena the title at Summerslam, then do Brock/Cena III with Paul Heyman handcuffed to either the Undertaker or Steve Austin at ringside. From what he's reported, they see that show as extremely important.
KrisZ
Per Meltz It had been rumord that Tenille Dashwood was arrested yesterday backstage at the tapings. She was mentioned on the show with Santino Marella said that even Emma didn't come to his party. There is a police report on the Hartford.gov web site of a Tenille Dashwood of Winter Park, FL (the city where NXT tapes) being arrested at 1 p.m. and released from custody at 2:13 p.m. and charged with sixth degree larceny, which is essentially a shoplifting charge. The story going around was the arrest was at a Walmart in Hartford, and the ddress of the arrest fits that description. Sixth degree larceny in Connecticut is stealing something with a value of less than $250 and is a Class C misdemeanor, with a maximum penalty of three months in prison and a $500 fine. The rumor at the tapings was the item was an iPod. Dashwood was at Raw last night doing a corporate meet and greet before the show, but was kept off television. Russellmania
didn't someone earlier say the plan was for Reigns/Orton at SummerSlam and then HHH/Reigns at NoC? That would be a big selling point. The interesting thing is this...everyone is assuming Brock wins the title at Summerslam...well then does that mean he's defending at NoC? I mean that's the whole gimmick of the PPV, so they better have Brock booked for that show if he's going to be champ by then.
Matt D
re: Austin. This is a little bit silly I guess, but I think he'd have to change his act a little. I've heard too many podcasts with the guy.

They'll deny that's what it was, but that's exactly it. Overrating her because she was attractive. I would tell you that you're wrong, but apparently you know what I think already and are able to tell me exactly how I feel about a wrestler before I even make my argument. Jeez, this place is better than stuff like this.
