Badlittlekitten
I don't think there is anything to judge about that crowd except that putting on big matches at the end of a 3 hour Raw, especially after that big beatdown angle on Randy Orton, is not that good of an idea even if it does give you a Network Exclusive. Dunno, the crowd were even quieter for the Tyson Kidd match. Granted, it's Tyson Kidd but Sheamus would be getting more response if people cared. PWI says Christian is returning at the tapings tonight Oh ffs. Not him again.
Dylan Waco
I liked Rusev vs Sheamus but it would have been so much better in front of a crowd that hadn't already been burnt out on 4 hours of wrestling at that point. I understand the reason they wanted to put it on after Raw as a Network Exclusive but the dead crowd hurt it a lot for me. The buffalo crowd was awful all night aside from Orton angles
C.S.
Rusev vs. Sheamus was amazing. It is right up there as one of my WWE MOTYCs. I had the opposite reaction. Thought it was slow, sluggish, and dull. The final few minutes were good though. Bad crowd didn't help. Regardless, all that matters is the finish - Rusev as U.S. Champ is a good thing. Can't wait to see where that goes. I hope Sheamus turns heel ASAP because he and Orton were in competition for stalest person on the roster. Cole's commentary at the end was surprisingly fantastic: (Paraphrased) "The U.S. Title was first held by Hall of Famer Harley Race and ten other WWE Hall of Famers. Now it's in the hands of Russia. In the hands of Rusev." Simple but effective!

The good thing about putting Rusev/Sheamus on Backstage Pass like that was that it let me skip the entire Raw episode.
pol
Is there a better candidate for most improved this year than Rusev, in any promotion?
Matt D
I really liked the message of the Zayn video package on Main Event. "We're in this together," is exactly the message they should be using with Zayn. Zayn is "one of you."
Coffey
They're running vignettes for Sami Zayn on Main Event? ...that's not a good sign, to me. What did I miss?

It was a re-edit of a video package they ran at Takeover II. It was just an NXT showcase match. Sami Zayn's Titantron had NXT logos on it etc.
shakla
This could possibly go in the Meltzer thread, but on both the WO and Bryan/Vinny recaps of Raw, everyone was baffled why Rhodes Bros./Usos on Smackdown was plugged after Cody lost to a Matador. Not saying the booking/promotion has been great, but is it possible that since the Matadores are basically prelim guys, the "bookers" set up the SD match "not thinking" the Matadores would win matches in a row and put themselves into contention? Thought their outrage a little much, not saying that this turn of events is good or anything.
cm funk
They've overdone it with Rhodes Bros. vs. Usos matches, but they do that with every matchup I think they're building to a 4 way for the titles at Survivor Series, Rhodes Bros vs. Usos vs. Matadores vs. Miz/Mizdow. They've started stuff with the Usos and Miz/Mizdow on tv, and I think the fluke Bull-assisted wins by the Matadores are just a way to give them some credibility after they've been doing jackshit with them since the stuff with 3MB and Hornswoggle. I wouldn't be surprised to see Miz/Mizdow win the titles and feud with Los Matadores
Matt D
I hope they fasttrack Itami and Finn to the main roster as a tag team, actually, because Devitt could get a lot out of working Dustin around the horn and that's an opportunity that might not be there in six months to a year. Yep. On that official WWE Wrestlemania podcast or Jericho's podcast around the same time Goldust said he was really disappointed he didn't get to do Brother vs Brother at Wrestlemania and would make a retirement decision around Summerslam. I know Wrestlers are Wrestlers but yeah Goldust might be hanging it up soon. From everything I've heard going back years and years Vince McMahon and Triple H really like Dustin. Just look at how many times they brought him back! But besides that post-Wrestling Dustin is well heeled due to Dusty Rhode's position in Developmental and the Rhodes/Runnels are like the Armstrongs in terms of Triple H era talent appointments. Mark Yeaton and Justin Roberts were replaced by Berkley Ottman and Eden Runnels both relatives of Dusty. Obviously he deserves consideration as a producer or trainer by his in ring credentials alone but nepotism is firmly on his side.
EvenStevenBooking
He was already an agent at one point before he got fired for some strange reason (he got the blame for the Prime Time Players fucking up a powerbomb/clothesline finish). I imagine he'll just slowly slide back into that role by next year.
sek69
I'm not big on the usual troop-fellating stuff WWE does, but the segment on Smackdown with the paralyzed soldier walking in the exo suit was pretty awesome.

EvenStevenBooking
Too dangerous for a fairly green team perhaps, but it's not that dangerous in general. If they didn't kill Yoshi with it, there wouldn't have been a problem.

Strummer
change made. Never used the spoiler tag here. Old board didn't have it I believe. anyway Ryback turned back babyface at the end of the show anyway. I guess they are building it up as a "who's side is he on and can you trust him?" angle
MJH
The crowd was terrible: lots of disturbances, awful chants (thankfully no "we are awesome"), though Cena turned the whole Network thing pretty well in his opening promo and it wasn't mentioned the rest of the night. HHH actually tried to create (or so I think) a new "Fandango" by singing "Another One Bites The Dust" (including the bassline) but it only lasted a few minutes. As for the show... I enjoyed Sheamus/Rusev, and it was the only match that didn't look like "silly fake shit" (Cena tried hard with Ryback too, in fairness), but the crowd went Sheamus/Orton on it for the most part, unfortunately. Henry/Ziggler lasted all of six spots and a few of them were botched.
