pantherwagner
Blue Demon. A boatload of luchadors, really, but the one who springs to mind above all others for me is Blue Demon. How great must have been this guy in his day? He was pretty good for a senior citizen in his Arena Mexico retirement. I also forgot to say: more Rene Guajardo, Ray Mendoza and especially Karloff Lagarde. Unless I'm blanking out there's only one Lagarde match on tape. pantherwagner
I wish there was more Heel Mad Dog Vachon from the 50's - 70's against quality face opponents, like AWA title matches against Verne and Crusher, for example. Heel Vachon/Raschke from the Montreal area would also be sweet. There is a lot of Bockwinkel available but obviously I wish there was more, especially more of his and Heenan's 70's interviews. Stevens is another obvious choice for me, if only because he gets such significant praise from his peers in every situation and his footage is lacking. Verne defenses against Watts, Crusher, Vachon, Hennig, Race, and so many others as well. Do you think there's any of this on the AWA tape library? Were the 70s WWE 24/7 shows "new" to you at the time that they were released?
ohtani's jacket
I've only discovered Chino recently, but I thought he was awesome in a light trios match against Trio Fantasia and impressive in his title match with Super Astro. Tim Evans
I've been watching a lot of 1999 Memphis lately so I'm loving Jeans wearing jive talking Michael PS Hayes's run in Power Pro wrestling facing guys like Baldo and Glenn Kulka. I'd like to see more of his babyface run in World Class in the late 80's and his freebirds run in WCW. On the Lucha front, I'd like to see more of the lesser known Los Brazos like Platino, Super Brazo and most importantly Robin Hood/Brazo Cibernetico. Also any Trio Fantasia matches I can find. Easily my favorite Lucha trio of all time.
JerryvonKramer
Prime Pat Patterson and Jack Brisco.
Zoo Enthusiast
Prime Pat Patterson and Jack Brisco. Pat's a definite for me, too, though at least we have some of his great performances documented, which is generally more than we can say for Stevens, unfortunately. Mad Dog
You can get several prime Jack Brisco matches on the All Japan Classics DVDs.
JerryvonKramer
I've seen all those mate, cheers though. It's the strength of those that make me want more. With Patterson and Brisco, we have great performances on tape, with Stevens we mainly have just rep.
Smack2k
For Me (In Order of Importance that would excite me) 1. Nick Bockwinkel - Both his early 70's Tag Title / Non Title matches with Ray Stevens as well as his AWA Title matches in the 70's against guys other than Verne..that is the BIGGEST one I'd like as Bock is my favorite ever 2. Complete Memphis Arena match footage from late 80's into the 90's - Full matches like we used to get from earlier 80's and not the clipped up stuff that was shown and shot from ringside 3. AWA 1970's arena footage..after reading Mick Karch's Minnesota's Golden Age of Wrestling book, that era has me salivating!
khawk20
Didn't Schire write that? wagnerpanther, I don't know how early they taped arena stuff but the TV that appeared on 24/7 from the 70's was stuff that I hadn't seen about 75% of. EricR
Toro Bill. We got a nice 10 match taste of his early 2010s Puebla stuff, but that guy had to be in his late 40s at least in that footage. How many cool early 30s brawls didn't make tape? Also wish more WWF and WCW house show stuff existed.
iamthedoctor
Ric Flair because I want him to unearth that Title change from Puerto Rico.
khawk20
If it's the Veneno one you're talking about there's a clip of it on youtube last time I checked.
iamthedoctor
If it's the Veneno one you're talking about there's a clip of it on youtube last time I checked. Yeah thats the one. There is a documentary on Jack where they show a bunch of clips from the Flair match so guessing it must have aired a while ago.
Migs
Randy Savage from ICW. Actually any new found ICW or Memphis footage. Someone somewhere has to have WMC full shows from the late 80s. I cant believe that nobody back then in the Memphis market didn't tape those shows. Randy Savage and BOBBY EATON from this period would be so cool. Both of these guys would generally be high on my list - if someone dug up a new Midnights-Fantastics match, or more 86 Savage, I'd be completely into that. Sidebottom
Dory Funk Sr's Texas promotion. Footage was filmed and certain people claim to have it, but I've never seen anything outside of a couple of bits here and there. With so many great talents at a young age passing through there as well as veteran talents at the end of their lines.

pantherwagner
I know there's got to be some rich drug baron that had a VCR in the late 80s and taped all the Juarez lucha libre. Negro Casas vs Eddy Guerrero dammit.
Parties
I'm curious about Buddy Rogers, if only because so many major people in American wrestling credit him as their favorite or "the best", and as the prototype for Flair. The big one for me might be Jackie Fargo, who's looked amazing in everything I've seen, which amounts to about five total minutes on Youtube. And more French lutte libre a la Cesca/Catanzaro. Not a lot of historical context available, but the stuff in this channel's been great: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCylA1VG1JDH-fMTVLSDzsrw
Lee
Not exactly the answer to the question being asked, but I've long been curious to see the famous Jackie Pallo-Mick McManus match from Cup Final Day, Bret Hart vs. Megaman McGee, Owen Hart vs. Sabu from '93, Owen Hart vs. Kurt Angle from 1999 (Owen's last taped match), and those WWN tapes from when Jim Crockett and Paul Heyman tried to launch a promotion in 93/94 and taped in HD about 15 years too early. KrisZ
GCW TV pre-September 1979 is always welcomed. More Dennis Condrey/Phil Hickerson as a team. More 70's JCP TV. More early babyface Dusty in CWF. Any lucha that didn't air in the US especially the local TV stuff.
BigBadMick
It's probably not the highest priority you really should have if you built a time machine, but - man! - bringing back an old VCR and collecting some of this stuff would be lovely. Lee
Is there any footage of Mae Young, pre-WWF? Is there any kind of consensus, either from that footage or from contemporaries or historians regarding her work? Was she any good, or was she a Fabulous Moolah-level performer?
Sidebottom
Could be well wrong here, but wasn't there very early Mae footage on that Untold Story docco Meltzer ripped for being innacuarte?
