Oh and just a random thought, sometimes I may offer to send talent to a big show for pretty much nothing in return simply because that was something promoters would do to keep their top stars happy. They could make more money being 3rd or 4th from the top at a Superdome show than they could being in the main event in Waco, TX. Dynamite will be in Japan most of the first half of '84 and clearly he's looking to up his game beyond Calgary. We know Bret, Davey, and Neidhart went on to bigger things as well. Cobra and Gama were world travelers, I suspect I'll lose them to more than a few dates. Blackwell doesn't seem like he'd hang out too long in one spot. Gotta keep the realism up. Quote

Have everyone send in a list of 20 guys IN ORDER they want to select them and send them to one trusted person, I will volunteer for this and even post the lists after the draft to prove no shenanigans were done. Once I have everyone's list I will compare it to the draft order already established and go down the lists. If the 1st person on your list is already taken by your turn, the next guy on the list goes to you. Same if your 19th person goes then the 20th will become 19th, etc. This should take us to Round 32, but with multiple people have the same people on their list, if it doesn't, I will post and say more names are needed. I have complete access to the site with the exception of a 45 min drive home. If everyone agrees, lets get our lists in and get this knocked out. This way we will have nearly two weeks of pre-booking, booking. Quote

I need to fill in blanks for sure, but I have feuds for a while and some good sources of outside talent to keep things fresh. It's just that it took this long to build even the majority of a good tag division and I haven't gotten any jobbers picked as of yet. Trying to go singles may have proven a bit easier in draft #1. The only issue i can see with this is without disreguarding, my drafts keep changing with everyone else's picks, especially when it comes to heel/face alignment. For example i dont want to send a list over and end up with 6 heels and 14 faces, if that makes sense? Quote
goc Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 I think shortening the time limit to 5 hours is the best way to make it work. It's not perfect but no way to push through the rest of the draft is going to be perfect and this is the way to upset the least amount of people. If someone feels burned by missing the time limit and losing a guy they wanted then they are going to be more likely to use someone as a proxy. We are halfway. There aren't enough wrestlers for a round 30. Quote

Not trying to sell my idea any more than I did in the first post. Just that I'm bored with the draft already as it is low-level mid card and jobbers from here on out. With that said, I'll be anyone's proxy that is in need of one, especially when the 5 hour hits. Quote

We will now simply refer to Stanley Blackburn when we need to reference who will or has been called. However, we promise to be progressive and not talk about writing or receiving letters from Stanley Blackburn. He would obviously use a telegram. Quote
