rainmakerrtv Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I will gladly stick with Luke. My backup plan is even more batshit crazy I look forward to your batshit crazy plan. Unless it involves someone I am hoping to get, in which case I will curse a blue streak. Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 When does Eddie return from injury? Wrestingdata.com says he's back in Memphis on August, 1st. Â http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bilanzen&wrestler=78&jahr=1983&monat=8 Quote
El Boricua Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I just wanted to thank you guys for the comments about the Rodz pick, I'm still laughing imagining the reactions when the pick was made. Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 El Boricua is doing a fantastic job getting everyone's "No way anyone will want this guy before I get him" picks like Johnny Rodz for you guys and Bob Sweetan for me. Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Oh and Boon I have loved your very true to Southeastern draft so far but I am not sure on Mike Rotunda. I don't know if he would have fit there even as just a white meat babyface. I know he wasn't your first choice though. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 El Boricua is winning the draft.I'm not sure I'd go that far. But then again something is happening that I don't really understand here because we're living in a world where Pez Whatley and Hector Gurrero get picked before certified Box Office like Ernie Ladd and Ole Anderson. goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 That's because some people have a strategy other than "uhh I need a big name because I don't have any angles that can draw and thus have to rely on old names" Â And I love Ernie but he is old and done in 1983. Quote
dkookypunk43 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I think I have been winning draft myself personally Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I think I have been winning draft myself personally You're doing good I would definitely agree. When I updated the rosters thread I was like "damn this is good looking Mid-South" Quote

It's 3am here, maybe the Rotundo pick was a sleepy pick in hindsight, that being said I'm open to offers for him... Quote

What use is Ole Anderson to me? Quote

Beast Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I think if you don't believe you're "winning" the draft, you may as well drop out. Every time I look at my roster, I give myself an imaginary high five. Â I am dreading the next few rounds though. Not a lot of wiggle room anymore as we all run for the same guys. Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I saw your WWF in 1983 thread. Your booking relies heavily on names for the sake of names. Â Waldo Von Erich in a MSG main event in 83? Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I pushed for you to be in this game, just remember that. Quote
Flyin' Brian Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Ernie Ladd I was looking at more as a special attraction type, I would have taken Ole with my next pick. Quote
goc Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I pushed for you to be in this game, just remember that. Oh don't get upset JVK. I can try and see if I can come up with any hot stories for you once you have your final roster. Â It's not personal. Quote

I meant next to myself. Martel, Wahoo, Valentine, Killer Khan and Ivan Koloff is the best top 5 out there. Quote
TravJ1979 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I have to side with Parv here. First goc drops out because he didn't get the promotion he wanted, so concessions were made for him. Then he complains about Dylan waiting so long to make his pick. Acting immature and a little annoying. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Waldo was part of a big angle where the three wise men brought back all their old charges to try to take out Snuka. It was a homage to the way Backlund went over all of Bruno's old foes as well as to DC comics. And a way of getting Snuka over as champ without sacrificing any of my heels. Â It wasn't big names for the sake of big names, but if you want to discuss that you should take it to that thread. Quote

He would have been amazing as a grumpy old man trying to keep Tony Atlas down! Â I've also been thinking that, while I'm really happy with my draft, they're pretty much all heels... Quote
