Yeah, I've never seen Hansen in the States as a face. I think it would be a lot of fun to watch after a few of his tags against the MVCs in the early 90s. Hansen as FIP and a world-beater to close a match are two roles he excels in.

Gordon Solie starts this episode joined along side with Ted Turner where they talk about the state of GCW on TBS now that Ted is the majority stockholder and he promises that GCW and the NWA will be a prominent force on the network especially with these Sunday shows that will spotlight all of the great NWA talent across the world such as Nick Bockwinkel who comes out and shakes hands with Ted and Solie before talking about being the Missouri/WWF double champion and how he had Butch Reed beat yesterday but Reed got lucky and was able to get a draw. Bockwinkel said that one day he will meet Reed again and hopefully he will still have that National Heavyweight Title because he would love to add that belt to his collection.

We come back from break with Solie & Bock still together and they show his win over David Von Erich in the Missouri Heavyweight Title tournament and defeating Bob Backlund for the WWF Heavyweight Title. Solie asked Bockwinkel about his relationship with Bobby Heenan and Bock said that they are great friends and business associates and when the timing is right they will always work together.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the major NWA shows of the week.

We come back with Solie joined by Stan Hansen & Tommy Rich who talk about their issues with the Gentleman's Club and Hansen says that they are a group of dangerous men with a sociopath as their leader. Rich said that there is no one in the world he hates more than Buzz Sawyer and the day would come when they would have to have a final standoff to determine who is the better man.

Then we get clips of the Gentleman's Club's antics from the past couple of weeks.

We come back with Solie joined by the Rougeau Brothers who talk about their newly won International Tag Titles and they narrate over the match against Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose. Jacques & Raymond both talk about how they have worked in Georgia in the past and would love to work there more in the future.

Next we get Solie talking about all of the news and events of the NWA such as Roddy Piper turning babyface in Florida against Kevin Sullivan, the Freebirds success in the Carolinas, Dutch Mantell's issues with Bob Armstrong, and all of the major news from Japan.

We come back from break with Solie joined by Butch Reed who talks about his long road to winning the National Heavyweight Title and there is no one that is going to take it from him especially Jake Roberts. Butch said that he will stomp out the snake and chop off his head.

Solie comes back and runs down all of the major results from the past week in GCW and he is joined by Jake who says that Reed thinks he can take him out but there is no way in hell he will achieve that goal. Jake said that Reed is a musclehead who thinks that power comes from your muscles in your body but the real power is in your brain and he is way smarter than he could ever be.

Gentleman Jim Holliday and the Gentleman's Club are out next and Holliday says that there are a lot of so-called heroes in GCW and that every good villain strives to kill their nemesis. Holliday then talks about Ted Turner and says that he didn't make his money like a true gentleman, he swindled it out of lots of hard working people who couldn't stand up for themselves. Sawyer then steps in and says that he could care less about Turner and wants to talk about Tommy Rich saying that he must retire him and that it's the main goal in his life...not just in wrestling but in life. He can't sleep at night without thinking about Tommy Rich and that for him to try and keep some sanity he has to exterminate Rich.

Solie closes the show talking about what's to come next week and he announces that the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes will be making his return as well as the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race.

Gordon Solie kicks off this episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling talking about how the two men that have dominated wrestling over the last 10 years are in the studio today in Harley Race & "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and brings out the NWA World Heavyweight Champion where he talks about how he would gladly grace the GCW audience with his presence today as well as giving them the treat of watching him wrestle but on one condition. Race said that he would wrestle anyone except 4 people and they are Rhodes, Paul Orndorff, Tommy Rich, & Butch Reed saying that the fans watching on TV must go to the arenas and pay to watch him wrestle those bums. Solie then asks Race who does he want to wrestle then and Race said that he would leave it up to promoter Paul Jones to pick the man he thinks could give him the best challenge.

Gentleman Jim Holliday would then come out and shakes hands with Race saying that he has always admired his work in and out of the ring saying that they both love to spend money to take care of problems and Race said that Holliday has some fine men in the Gentleman's Club and if he never needs their services are they available. Holliday tells Race of course as long as the price is right which causes both men to smile and shake hands again before leaving as Solie sighs.

MATCH #1

"Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs. Jerry Bryant

Butch doesn't have much of a problem with Bryant and wins after a gorilla press slam in 7:13. Butch then goes over to Solie and says that it's a shame that the NWA has a World Heavyweight Champion that is yellow and is scared of competition. Reed said that Race knows for sure that any one of 4 guys he refuses to face on TV could beat him and 2 of them already have for the title in the last 4 years. Race comes out and tells Reed that he should shut his mouth and not speak again until he has the resume to warrant a shot at his title. Reed then holds up the National Heavyweight Title belt and tells Race that this is all he needs to get a shot at him and then tells Race that this is a new era in wrestling and that the young blood is coming for the old dogs. Race then would slap Reed in the face before walking off as Solie stops Reed from going after him.

Freddie Miller then goes over the major NWA events of the week before commercial.

We come back from the break with Solie joined by Greg Gagne who said that he has been a tag team specialist for many years but he needs to find a new steady partner especially with the National Tag Titles tournament looming on the horizon so today he wants to audition George Weingroff to see if he is up to the task plus he wants to have a rematch from last week where the Gentleman's Club spoiled the good match they were having.

MATCH #2

Greg Gagne vs. George Weingroff

Like the previous week this was another good scientific match with both men using some good matwork. Gagne would catch Weingroff in an Indian Death Lock that George couldn't get out of and won the match in 9:44. Gagne then goes over to Solie and says that he has been highly impressed with Weingroff and wants him to be his partner but Tommy Wright would come out. Tommy said that he has respected Gagne for years and they have become friends over the past couple of weeks so he would like to have a chance to be his partner. Gagne said that he guesses that would be a fair choice and said that they could have the match next week. Wright then says well that's okay but he would like to have it today because it would give Greg the chance to make his decision as soon as possible. Gagne reluctantly agreed and said that he would do it later on.

After the roll call by Gentleman Jim Holliday, we get the Gentleman's Club with Buzz Sawyer talking about his issues with Tommy Rich and that this is the beginning of the end.

MATCH #3

"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer vs. Rick McCord

McCord attacks Buzz as soon as he gets in the ring and gets a couple of quick cradle nearfalls but Buzz would just start terrorizing him and finished him with a powerslam in 8:51. Sawyer would then give McCord another powerslam then went for a diving body press off the top rope but Tommy Rich would run out with a steel chair and hit Sawyer in the head with the chair as he was in the air. Rich then started pounding over Buzz's bloody head until the rest of the Gentleman's Club ran in to attack him. Rich was being destroyed until Orndorff & Reed ran in to make the save.

Freddie Miller then talks about all the GCW events of the upcoming week.

We come back from break with Solie bringing out "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes who talks about being so glad to be back in Atlanta on WTBS which he said is the house that he built. Dusty said that he just watched the whole deal with Rich & Sawyer on the monitors and that it makes him sick to his stomach to watch those goons trying to run roughshot around here. Dusty warned them though saying that he won't be a stranger and that he will help his friends whenever they need him which brings out "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff who tells Dusty that he has a tag match set up today with "King Kong" Angelo Mosca & Super Destroyer and he would love for him to be his partner. Dusty said that you don't have to ask me twice jack he would love to take out those goons.

After Orndorff & Rhodes walk off, Race comes out ready for his match and tells Solie that he wants everyone that is watching to see what a real world's champion looks like. Solie then asks Race if he was curious on who his opponent would be and Race said that it doesn't matter who it is because he is the best in the world and could never lose especially on TV. Race then gets in the ring confidently before Solie announces that his opponent would be Koko Ware which got the studio jumping.

MATCH #4

Harley Race vs. Scott McGhee

Race laughs at McGhee after he gets into the ring saying this is the best that GCW can offer him...it will take no time to take care of this midget. The match starts and Race works arrogantly which pisses off McGhee who starts firing away turning this into a damn good back and forth match. As the match goes on, Orndorff, Reed, Rhodes, & Rich all show at ringside to cheer on McGhee which infuriates Race who starts yelling at Solie to get them out of here. McGhee would use these distractions to get nearfalls on Race but he couldn't finish him off. Race eventually would get McGhee with a suplex then hit his diving headbutt off the top rope which he would then get up and started yelling at Reed. Race accidentally would elbow Scrappy McGowan as the yelling went on, McGhee would get up and he grabbed Race from behind catching him with a German Suplex hold with Orndorff jumping in the ring and counting Race's shoulders down in 16:42 as the studio erupted. The 4 faces would then enter the ring and hoisted McGhee on their shoulders before leaving as we go to a break but of course Scrappy McGowan went to Solie and told him that McGhee only won by DQ.

We come back from break with a highly angry Race who demands that Gentleman Jim Holliday come out which he does and he tells Holliday that he would pay $25,000 for each one of those involved in the last match if they got taken out. Holliday then said that consider it done and that he hopes the champ has a heavy checking account.

Solie then talks about what happened last week with Bruiser Brody & Koko Ware showing clips of the challenge that Koko made saying that if he could'nt beat Brody he would wear a dress. Brody comes out with a dress that he picked which was a bright yellow one and he said that he can't wait to see pretty little Koko in the dress walking up and down Stewart Avenue.

MATCH #5

Koko Ware vs. Bruiser Brody

Ware would run into the ring and started throwing everything he had at Brody who was getting rocked but wasn't going down before Brody caught him with a big clothesline turning the tide. Brody then started working Koko over but was taking him lightly as he was yelling at Solie about how this was too easy. Brody hit his King Kong Kneedrop on Koko but instead of going for the pin Brody went to ringside where he grabbed the yellow dress and got back in the ring. Brody went over to the fallen Ware and tried to put the dress on him but was caught with a quick inside cradle for the shocking upset victory. Brody went nuts after the match and started destroying Koko until Reed & Rich made the save.

We come back from break with Solie announcing that Jake "The Snake" Roberts was not at TV today but he sent in a taped promo to watch. Jake is seen at his house surrounded by his pet snakes and he talks about how he didn't feel the need to show up at TV because he didn't need the extra money because he got a $10,000 bonus the previous week thanks to Butch Reed. Jake said that he took the money and spent it on the finer things in life....a nice woman from Stewart Avenue, a nice bottle of Jack Daniels, and a nice snake which he would hold up a huge boa constrictor that he had named Mephisto. Jake then warned Reed that even though he appreciated the financial gift he wanted more from him especially his National Heavyweight Title but if he had the chance to take something more important than that he would. Jake then closed by telling Reed that a snake always strikes when you least expect it.

Solie then comes back from break joined by Ted Oates who talks about how the Shadow Riders injured his brother and he said that since they were supposed to have a tag match today he would take them on in consecutive singles matches.

MATCH #6

Ted Oates vs. Johnny Mantell

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers is at ringside watching the match and gets his shots in but Oates would catch Mantell in an O'Connor Roll out of nowhere and got a flash pin at 3:03....leading to

MATCH #7

Ted Oates vs. "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers

Jaggers would attack Oates right after the finish of the previous match and tried to finish Ted off quickly but Ted came fighting back and locked on a figure-four leglock but Mantell would run back in the ring and used the bullrope for the DQ at 5:31. The Riders started whipping Oates with the bullrope until Scott McGhee ran out to make the save. McGhee started getting his shots in but Harley Race would run out and he hit McGhee in the back with a jumping knee. Race then grabbed McGhee and hit him with 2 piledrivers before Orndorff & Rhodes cleared the ring.

Tommy Wright is out next with Solie and says that he is so excited to prove to Greg Gagne that he is worthy to be his partner.

MATCH #8

Greg Gagne vs. Tommy Wright

Greg starts off getting the best of Wright on every exchange and Tommy gets frustrated but keeps coming. Tommy would eventually get Greg on the mat and then yelled out "IT'S TIME" which brought out "Golden Boy" Chick Donovan who ran in the ring and started dropping knees on Greg's back while Wright laughed maniacally. George Weingroff would run out to help but Chick & Tommy got the best of him and put him out with a spike piledriver. Donovan & Wright then went over to Solie and bragged about their plan of duping that fool Gagne and said that if anyone are going to win the National Tag Titles it would be them. Donovan then told Gordon that no one is better than The Golden Studs which causes Solie to sigh deeply.

MATCH #9

"American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. "King Kong" Angelo Mosca & Super Destroyer

This started off good with the faces dominating early on before Orndorff would get caught by the heels who really started working over Orndorff's left arm. Orndorff would eventually get to the corner where he got the hot tag to Dusty who ran wild until Mike George ran in for the DQ at 11:44. Race & Sawyer then came out and blocked the ring as George grabbed Orndorff and started giving him shoulderbreakers. Reed, Rich, Koko, and others tried to get in but they got held off by the rest of the Gentleman's Club and Race as George kept on giving Orndorff shoulderbreakers. The faces eventually would get in the ring sending the heels out but the damage was done as Orndorff had received 6 shoulderbreakers from George.

Solie then calls over Butch where they talk about how this madness has to stop....guys are tryings to end careers for money and as Butch is talking.....Jake Roberts appears from behind the curtain and he hits Reed with a short clothesline then DDT's him on the floor as Solie says we gotta go we are out of time. The show goes off with Jake smiling over the fallen Reed as the camera fades to black.

Excited to see Harley interacting with these guys and interested to see what big matches will be coming up with the champ in town.

Jake Roberts is such a stud here, the most interesting person in the room. That latest TV ending would have been bonkers live.

Gordon Solie opens up this episode of World Championship Wrestling talking about the insanity of yesterday's episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling and calls out Freddie Miller who tells everyone that Paul Orndorff suffered a separated shoulder thanks to Mike George's 6 shoulderbreakers and would be out of action indefinitely. This is followed by clips of the angle.

We come back from break with Solie joined by Harley Race with Solie asking Race if he is proud of himself and Harley responds that he is always proud of everything he accomplishes in life. Race said that Orndorff made the serious mistake of counting his shoulders down when he wasn't supposed to and now thanks to his money which gave Mike George the motivation needed to do the job, Orndorff is done. Race said that he still has money left on the table for anyone who wants to take out Dusty Rhodes, Butch Reed, & Tommy Rich and that he always pays for good work.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the major NWA shows of the week.

Solie then takes us on a tour of the NWA which features these clips.

Bob Backlund's promo on Nick Bockwinkel from this weekend's WWF

We come back from break with Solie joined by Dusty Rhodes & Tommy Rich who talk about what Race said earlier and what had happened with the Gentleman's Club the day before and Big Dust said that Jim Holliday has awoke a sleeping monster and that he will show up in Georgia whenever he can make the time to help his friends get rid of the dark cloud that is currently hanging over the area. Rich then said that all he wants is Buzz Sawyer and that this has now become a life or death situation between them that must end soon before both of them kill each other.

Solie then narrates over the NWA Spotlight Match of the week which was the Dick Murdoch/Abdullah the Butcher match from New Japan TV from a couple of weeks ago.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the GCW shows for the week.

We come back from break with Solie joined by Greg Gagne who talks about Tommy Wright turning on him yesterday and the formation of the Golden Studs. Gagne said that Chick Donovan & Wright will rue the day that they crossed him and that he is going to turn George Weingroff into a wrestling machine that won't stop until the Studs are put out to pasture.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts joins Solie next and Gordon said that he was appalled at his actions yesterday. Jake looked at Gordon and asked him did he like his new leather jacket, leather pants, and snakeskin boots and Gordon sighed deeply before Jake said that he should like them because Butch Reed paid for it with his generous donation of $10,000 last week. Jake said that his mission won't end until he has the National Heavyweight Title belt around his waist and all the money he can get in his snakeskin wallet. Jake said Tommy Rich talked about life and death earlier and he said that Rich thinks that is his situation but regarding him he KNOWS that is his deal and Reed MUST kill him to get rid of him. Jake closed by saying a snake always bites back so Reed better keep that in mind when he plans his revenge because Butch Reed shouldn't worry about trying to wound a snake because you can't settle on a wound you must kill it.
