Parties Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Good selling, slow pace. Liked the superplex a lot, and Orton gets credit for actually working like a face. Match had several strong points: not exceptional, but good. Actually sort of felt like a solid house show Bob Orton match. Went 18ish mins and sure felt like it, but I actually liked that they gave it time. Only real beef was that the sudden nature of the finish really didn't work for what had just happened. Your legs and back are destroyed, so you suddenly hit your finisher that requires you to leapfrog in the air and take a back bump.
tjones324 Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Pretty good opener in my book. Seemed like it went a little long for me but nothing too bad.
goodhelmet Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 Orton vs. Sheamus I enjoyed this also. I think they could have cut a couple of minutes off but it was fun and Orton is hot in his hometown. It suffered watching it though because I don't care about either guy right now and certainly not against each other.
goodhelmet Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 Man, Darren Young's legs were so shiny I thought they were his tights.
Parties Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Sam Mushnick props in a 2015 Stephanie promo. Public Relations is a funny thing, folks. “This is me reaping.” Goddamn I love Big E.
JerryvonKramer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 This was probably the most black people in one match since the days of Mid South.
goodhelmet Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 Prime Time Players vs. New Day Fun tag match with some awkward moments. I liked Darren Young in the match. I thought he and Big E worked the big guy vs. little guy stuff really well. I don’t know what Titus was doing when he got hit in the head by Xavier. It looked so unnatural and awkward getting in position for the hit, it took me out of the match for a bit. Fun not great and they didn’t use a chinlock!!!!
tjones324 Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I quite enjoyed Xavier's antics at ringside there.
JerryvonKramer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Some of the worst acting ever seen on TV in that divas section.
WingedEagle Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 New Day vs. PTPers - Shocked how long this got. Absolutely solid match that didn't feel like a waste of time. - Woods's ringside commentary is quickly becoming some of my favorite mic work and a great piece of the undercard. - Titus's fire and energy are awesome and have to think his ceiling is somewhere higher than this. - Big E's apron splash was dope. - if the lady matches are decent going forward we're going to need a return of the Adam Rose / R Truth nonsense to the main card to ensure a legitimate bathroom break. For now we'll pencil in Wyatt's entrance for that role.
Matt D Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Haven't seen much but I did catch Steph warning JoJo and JoJo having real fear in her eyes considering what's happened to people in the past.
Zoo Enthusiast Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I'll be fine if I never hear Becky Lynch speak again.
Parties Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Big E throwing Young so hard over the post that he hit the cameraman was awesome. Young had a good belly to belly, gutbuster, and backdrop suplex on the apron here. Solid defense that left both teams looking good. Everytime I think that Paige mic work is bad, I try to remember that she's only 22. Lynch and Charlotte were just as awkward, but the pinky swear was the capper.
hammerva Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Would rather hear from Becky than Charlotte. She may have gotten her father's ability but her promo skills so far Reigns vs Bray worries me. This should be booked like a Raven vs Dreamer match when Raven gets the piss beat out of him but sneaks out a win. Probably won't
Strummer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Fantastic. Steph looks to be involved in the diva stuff going forward. And I guess she's a heel again. Same old shit
JerryvonKramer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Judging from the prematch package, this Wyatt vs Reigns feud looks to be the least compelling thing in modern times.
WingedEagle Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Judging from the prematch package, this Wyatt vs Reigns feud looks to be the least compelling thing in modern times. For those that are new, this should read "this Wyatt guy looks to be the least compelling thing in modern times."
cowboy hats Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Putting the kid to sleep and a long supermarket run both have to happen tonight too. What's the shopping list look like? Big bag of cool ranch doritos make in on there?
Zoo Enthusiast Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Judging from the prematch package, this Wyatt vs Reigns feud looks to be the least compelling thing in modern times. It lends credence to Dylan's theory that someone just really wants Reigns to fail. Fortunately, he looks to be too good to fail, at this point.

Big bag of cool ranch doritos make in on there? In process now. Only chicken is on sale. This pleases no one. I did catch Bray's awesome red pajama pants though. I miss old WCW PPVs that were on Saturdays.
JerryvonKramer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Character work in modern WWE seems to consist mostly of hitting a move and then making a face at the camera. JBL references The Moondogs!
Grimmas Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Character work in modern WWE seems to consist mostly of hitting a move and then making a face at the camera. JBL references The Moondogs! Depends how shitty you are.
JerryvonKramer Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I'm literally missing my own plan of alternating Destroyer and Billy Robinson match reviews for this.
Zoo Enthusiast Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Character work in modern WWE seems to consist mostly of hitting a move and then making a face at the camera. JBL references The Moondogs! And stupid nicknames like "Eater of Worlds."
