Thought this would appeal to some here.

Awesome! I've always meant to dig into TEW since EWR is so good but could never get around the interface issues and how long it takes to actually book 2 hour shows. I hope he streamlines everything in a way that eases that burden since everything else about 13 is excellent.

I want to love TEW because it's really an excellent booking sim, it's just soooo much work.

I liked Extreme Warfare Revenge better because it was simpler, and I've probably picked it up and dropped it again every couple years since it came out.

Still, I'm glad the series is still going. It's really great that it still has a fanbase supporting it after all these years. I remember playing versions as far back as the old VBasic version where you couldn't even pick match winners yourself. I remember Al Snow beat Triple H for the WWF title once. Good times.

I always thought it was easier to book the TEW universe guys because you could fit them into the mold you wanted. Real world wrestlers in the random settings of the game could come up either way short or far too good compared to what they actually were. It was hard to see some wrestlers picked out as massive superstars knowing what they truly were.

As a long term TEW fan, I'll jump into say this is my most anticipated game of the year the moment it was announced

Anyone ever play the regular versions of the game without real world mods?

I know more about the Cornellverse then most people know about anything, because I have that weird thing that when I get really interested in something I break it down to science.

I think the Cornellverse is significantly more interesting to book then the real world. Wider array of interesting promotions, no real personal connections to wrestlers, and more general room for creativity. As said, it's hard to push someone you watch in real life and don't like or to completely drop them off the card if you like them.

I've been playing it. It's insane how much this game has grown. It's really become much more immersive since the 2007 iteration or even the 2010. Not just in all the minutiae that comes with running a promotion, but in how the game world interacts with itself and you. There's a kind of organic role playing element that is so much more present. Guys getting heat for accidentally injuring other wrestlers or one of your stars burying another wrestler in an email to you. That's fucking cool. It no longer feels like you're just playing with souless action figures in your bedroom, it feels more like an ant farm that you're also inside.

That being said it can be insanely overwhelming at first when you open up the game and there's a few dozen buttons staring you in the face.

My favorite moment so far was when my talent got raided by a company I'm "at war" with. I lost about 4 guys. I jobbed them out on their last show, and I had this option to give a locker room speech. I praised one of my guys for a great job, then ripped the defectors to shreds in front of everyone. And then I found out that actions like that affect how my locker room perceives me and changes how they perform for me. That kind of detail is very fucking cool.

Not yet. The modders only just now got their hands on the game like everyone else and there's a ton of stuff they have to add and convert from their 2013 mods. The good news is that the bulk of the information from the 2013 mods can be converted over, so a lot of the tedious shit like adding every worker is done. Now it's just figuring out how to incorporate all the new goodies.

There's a bunch of mods getting worked on right now though. There's at least one present day one, a 93-94 ish one, and several from the 80's. A DC Comics one that somehow sounds kinda silly and fun. I'm sure they'll probably start rolling out in the next month.

I know there are a couple of vets here. I usually book TCW or SWF and those are comfortable zone places for me. I'm trying out USPW and I was hoping for some tips. The roster is fairly foreign to me minus some guys they've grabbed. What's the best way to book the promotion and are there any match notes that work well here.
