Grimmas Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I was worried about jumping into the draft late, but the Revolution Pro-Wrestling roster is turning out great! Rotten, Headhunters, Tanaka, Spciolli and Maxx Payne. That's freaking sleezy as it can get!
rainmakerrtv Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I always felt I was the only person in the world who liked Koshinaka.
Grimmas Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I always felt I was the only person in the world who liked Koshinaka. No way! But offense is the best offense! Loved Koshinaka since I first saw him in 97.
gordi Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 He's amazing live. The crowd goes crazy for his hip attacks.
rainmakerrtv Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 He just struck me as someone who worked in several different roles ... light heavy, heavy, babyface, heel. The guy could do it all.
elliott Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 LA Parka to FMW is my single favorite thing ever. Just perfect beyond words.
SirEdger Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I'm mostly sticking to the real NJPW roster but thus far, despite some guys being drafted before I could get them, I can't say I'm disappointed with what my roster looks like at the moment. I might make a risky move if possible but I think it could pay off in the long run.
Wahoos Leg Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I've tried to split my roster about 50/50 between established SMW people and new people and I think so far it's gone quite well.
gordi Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Not to get all Barry Horowitz on myself, but I'm pretty pleased to get my two Heavyweight base wrestlers, Shiro Koshinaka and Satoshi "The Great Kosuke" Kojima in rounds 14 and 15. I figured I'd just take the two best not-too-big, comedy-capable HWs available once I'd filled out my top-16-available-Juniors roster. If nobody suitable was available, I would have just stuck with 100 per cent Juniors. Never expected to get two quality guys like this.
elliott Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 They're also good because Koshinaka is an established name in 1995 while Kojima is still potential with a ton of room to grow. Good stuff!
gordi Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Yeah, I guess Kojima would be coming into M-Pro off his '94 Young Lion Cup win/stint in Europe as Joe-Joe Lee. In M-Pro he'll be encouraged to develop his funny/entertaining side as much as possible.
topropepodcast Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Kind of want to announce a few matches off my debut show now that I have some people in place.
LowBlowPodcast Posted August 16, 2016 Author Report Posted August 16, 2016 Kind of want to announce a few matches off my debut show now that I have some people in place. I agree... I think we could start our dirt sheets thread and get some of the excitement brewing for those first cards.
Grimmas Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Kind of want to announce a few matches off my debut show now that I have some people in place. In the rosters thread I inserted my first tour where I put where each match of the round robin tournament will take place.
rainmakerrtv Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Will this mean that the Ann Veal of Japanese wrestling will be coming soon to MichiPro? Stay tuned!
gordi Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Will this mean that the Ann Veal of Japanese wrestling will be coming soon to MichiPro? Stay tuned! Her?
rainmakerrtv Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 For me, in any given "3 Japanese guys in black trunks vs 3 other Japanese guys in black trunks" match, Kengo Kimura was always the guy I could never distinguish from anybody else. He always seemed to be the most CAW guy in the mix, so I ultimately dubbed him The Ann Veal of Japanese Wrestling. Of course, when the Best Of The 80's New Japan set came out and I watched it, I fell in love with him and his matches, so it just shows to go you. But I still give him that nickname for giggles.
gordi Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Is there any connection between him and Rusher Kimura? It's a great nickname for him. I also think, for totally different reasons, it could fit this guy as well:
rainmakerrtv Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Poor Mae Whitman ... talented actress, lovely young woman, keeps being cast as the girlfriend that people hate (including her boyfriend)
Grimmas Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Hey.... since I'm clearly just picking women and death match workers and since most people are picking pretty promotion specific, if everybody wants to give me a huge list of proxies, I could hammer out a huge chunk of the draft.
ADL Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Brawler was going to be my next pick, always been a fan of him so happy to see more than one of us had interest in using him.
Grimmas Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Brawler was going to be my next pick, always been a fan of him so happy to see more than one of us had interest in using him. I'm doing a hardcore garbage wrestling promotion, I need The Brawler for comic relief! He's a natural in that setting.
dexstar Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 You have my proxy list, I deviated from it a little bit but it's rapidly getting to the point where it's very interchangeable anyway. I'm down for whatever speeds the process along! Just keep in mind that with the new addition or Ottman we're stretched pretty thin on catering budget already here in MTW.

I can't wait to see what gimmick Ottman gets.
