goc
Just gonna start this now while I'm on since people have had so much trouble starting the new weekly thread lately. I'm expecting HHH will be on Raw tonight with the video that WWE posted of a happy Steph getting in a limo with him after the PPV.
NintendoLogic
The debate is from 9 until 10:30. I'm curious to see if they'll throw a bunch of stuff against the wall to try to keep people from switching over. At the very least, I expect them to announce a killer main event to entice people to switch back.
Strummer
https://twitter.com/WWE/status/780526577964593152 so this is happening. I don't mind celeb involvement in wrestling. With all partners involved it has a chance to be a decent segment
Blehschmidt
Tag Team Partners that don't get along! How will that ever work?
The Chief
A good point was brought up on Between the Sheets today about how they really don't book episodic TV anymore. An hour into the show and the two matches we've received so far happened last night.
hammerva
They spend two months just for them to form a tag team? I mean on one hand it is good because the tag team division on RAW is horrible right now. But it is so stupid how they got there.
C.S.
No matter how shitty Raw is, all is right with the world on Smackdown because of posters like this.
NintendoLogic
So it looks like they decided to do the exact opposite of what I predicted. Guess they figured no one would be watching no matter what they did so why not mail it in.
fakeplastictrees
Sheamus and Ceasaro walking around in suits, wearing sunglasses, and beating up jobbers would make for a cool visual. Its just sad that the Sheamus experiment is still on-going.
hammerva
How is Enzo & Cass vs Owens & Jericho a main event match? I mean Enzo & Cass have lost to the Shining Stars twice who could barely get on TV before the draft.
Strummer
Well they didn't even try to compete tonight against the competition. At least they promoted 2 title matches for next week
sek69
Yeah, I figured there'd be no way the Smartest Man In Wrestling would appear on a Raw that's sure to get clobbered by an NFL game *and* a hotly anticipated debate. hammerva
I would say the super crazy over stuff dies a little once the bell rings. They love the entrance. they love when they talk. Not so much except for that. Especially when Enzo is wrestling which is getting slowly worse and worse. Loved seeing Drew Gulak in the ring since I have watched him in years in CZW. Rich Swann and Cedrick Alexander would make a great team. But man this crowd was not interested. There is that worry that the CWC will be like NXT where maybe the number of people who watched it wasn't as great as people thought

I said they were gonna be the New Age Outlaws redux (with a bit of Kid Kash & Dallas because of the characters and sizes) the very first time I saw them. Enzo is an awful worker to boot, and Cass is just another Test clone. No depth whatsoever and their match aren't good.

For weeks all we heard was "the cruiserweights" were coming with no mention of anyone in particular until literally the day they debuted. jcmmnx
Styles and Miz are absolutely on fire right now. Another A+ promo from Miz who is doing the impossible and making me care about a Dolph Ziggler feud. Meanwhile AJ is getting excellent matches out of Ambrose. Bray is just awful send his ass to Raw so I don't have to see him anymore.
WingedEagle
Ziggler more than held his own on the stick tonight. Would AJ have to work harder to have a bad match than a good one at this point? Smackdown's crowds seem hotter than Raw from the very opening of the show these days. Perhaps silly, but is the weight of a 3+ hour TV show to follow dragging them down? I know I look forward to Smackdown more now because it just moves so much quicker and has a fraction of the backstage and talking shenanigans. sek69
Ziggler has been really good the last few weeks, but I can't be bothered to give any fucks about his matches after him being sub JTTS status for years.
hammerva
So Ziggler has put him career on the line if he loses to Miz at No Mercy. This is going to be a tough one because the Miz really shouldn't lose the belt because he has such momentum. Plus the real money in the Miz right now is how he finishes with Daniel Bryan because I can't imagine that Dolph is that person gives how much of a loser he is treated as. I guess they can do what they usually do with Ziggler and give him that great moment then make it mean nothing in about a month and put the belt back on Miz. WashingtonFB
Can't remember the last time WWE had weekly TV this consistently entertaining.
goc
I can't think of a match where I would ever root harder for The Miz than one with Ziggler's career being on the line. The whole storyline on Ziggler for the past few months has been he's a loser who can't get it done and the best payoff for this would be for him to lose. And then just fuck off forever. Strummer
I know it won't happen but Miz should win best on interviews this year. That segment with Dolph last night was one of the best of the year
