A few months ago there was this hilariously horrible track called "Can't Cancel all of Us" (because of course) and the video had cameos from Enzo Amore (because of course), Lacey Evans (I'm so shocked, really) and Scotty 2 Hotty (who yes, still works as an agent in AEW sadly). NintendoLogic Posted Thursday at 04:50 PM Report Posted Thursday at 04:50 PM I can think of no good reason why anyone should care about the political views of a backstage agent if it doesn't affect their work. Quote
Dav'oh Posted Friday at 03:21 PM Report Posted Friday at 03:21 PM There's a difference between "political views", which implies an informed, involved person making educated decisions, and being a flag-waver for.... all of that. Backstage producer, not a backstage producer, affects their work, doesn't affect their work - the cunt should be thrown in a pit. That's probably the point he was making. Quote
El-P Posted Friday at 03:57 PM Report Posted Friday at 03:57 PM I really wasn't making any point about Scotty 2 Hotty per say (my entire point was about DDP, which I actively care about since I paid for his app and now he's sharing this kind of shit). I ended by "sadly" because, even apart from the fact he indeed happily paraded in an idiotic MAGA rap video, he's been exposed as a raging imbecile for a while, refusing to work with a non-binary wrestler at an indie show and then whining about being "cancelled" because of it. He's a fucking idiot and I have no idea why AEW would employ a guy like him. (and really now, even if we talk pro-wrestling only (see what I did ?), his resume is doing the W.O.R.M. and having a 3* match with Dean Malenko once) Quote
JRH Posted Friday at 03:59 PM Report Posted Friday at 03:59 PM Is DDP a backstage agent? From what I've heard he's just a yoga instructor and helps in-need people (his legacy when all is said and done will basically be known as the man who saved Jake Roberts's life). Quote

Damnit, read the thread ! 😂 Scotty 2 Hotty is. DDP is still doing the Yoga stuff and is also sharing idiotic MAGA shit on his social medias. Quote
El-P Posted Saturday at 07:04 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:04 PM So on a JCW (the Juggalo promotion of ICP) vs GCW show, Masha Slamovich tagged with 2 Cold Scorpio and... the Great Sasuke. Yes, this actually happened. (haven't watched it yet though, but the intros are already a mindfuck. Like, this is actually real) Quote
Robert S Posted Monday at 09:56 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:56 PM As there was some talk about Jim Cornette and his podcasts on this board: Cornette has fired the guy who did the art for his podcasts (the youtube thumbnails) because he found out that that guy posted all kind of right-wing-nutjob conspiracy theories on social media. (okay, to be precise, it was more that that guy quit before he could get fired - Brian Last apparently told that guy to stop acting crazy on social media and he was, "nah, I'm good") Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted Monday at 10:14 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:14 PM Not that I watch a lot of Cornette videos, but i always found that art style obnoxious so no big loss Quote
JRH Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Who was the youngest person to work a match? I dont mean jokey stuff like Matt Hardy's baby son pinning a guy or Nicholas winning the tag belts with Braun, I mean an actual match that's treated at least somewhat more seriously. Quote
NintendoLogic Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Rey Mysterio was 14 when he debuted. I'm sure there are some joshi who were even younger. Quote
El-P Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Riho was 9 when she started, trained by Emi Sakura. So yeah, she's 28 and almost a 20 years vet. And AEW needs to bring her back (she was injured last year). Quote
Robert S Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Colby Corino started at the age of 13 (he had matches earlier, but I would assume those were comedy matches or whatever as they were all on "Toys for Tots" fundraising shows) Quote
El-P Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago The two RevPro show this week-end have some quite interesting matches, both in term of quality and talents involved considering the dynamics of US wrestling. Most notably on Friday you get Micheal Oku (who's been on AEW/ROH shows before), Shibata, Tanahashi (yeah, these two teaming !), Speedball & Zozaya (who has been under WWE's radar and may possibly end up there, which would be a pity because he's way too good) vs Robbie X, Cowboy Way, Hechicero & Kyle Fletcher. On the Saturday show you got Micheal Oku (who has been on AEW/ROH) vs Leon Slater (from TNA, therefore connected with WWE, although I hope he eventually goes where he belongs after his TNA stint) which should be an awesome match BTW, and Mercedes Moné tagging with Kanji & Dani Luna (also from TNA, therefore, pity, etc..., I'd love Mercedes to sell her AEW backstage because I really like Luna). ZSJ vs Zozaya should be quite terrific too. Quote
Laz Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I'm seconding the push for Luna. She's impressed me a lot from my late spring indie dives into Prestige, WCPW, Limitless, etc. Quote
