...TG
Raw's opening segment ended with a really hot 2 minutes. Alas, the previous 10 were pretty bad.
KawadaSmile
Funny how the segment picked up with Roman and Braun getting some action.
FMKK
Rusev is so under appreciated, stuck in a feud with a comedy tag team who can't really work
FMKK
A Dusty Finish working against the heel team makes no sense
sek69
The opening RIP screen was fine since it had to be acknowledged, but man was that extended tribute video to Snuka was uncomfortable.
FMKK
The opening RIP screen was fine since it had to be acknowledged, but man was that extended tribute video to Snuka was uncomfortable. There were definitely some boos in the crowd after it was over as well. Very uncomfortable atmosphere. Interesting that the tribute tweets they showed were all from people who have been in wrestling for decades or were brought up in it. Kinda like that old school 'cult of the business' mentality that was all too happy to sweep that sort of shit under the carpet. Bret, HHH, Charlotte, Stephanie, Foley, Rock and Reigns were the ones featured.
raul
great start and great end to raw.

KawadaSmile
Main event was a hot ass match with a great post-match segment. Roman's spear and KO's powerbomb were both really good moments.
...TG
The main event was fine but that post-match brawl was great. I love it when the show feels out-of-control and unpredictable. They can't do it every week obviously but it's very effective when they do.
Strummer
That is how Owens should have been booked since the start of this run. I think he's a funny guy but this is much better than the weekly comedy routine
KawadaSmile
I still don't think he's particularly great, let alone good, but him throwing bombs sure is better than him slapping a headlock for ages.
El-P
The opening RIP screen was fine since it had to be acknowledged, but man was that extended tribute video to Snuka was uncomfortable. Fuck this shit. So hard. Interesting indeed. Some days, I just want to close the door on this shit once and for all. These people have no balls whatsoever.
C.S.
Meant to put this in the WWE Network thread, so please excuse the double-post. Ride Along has to be the most boring show ever. Bryan was sniffling and blowing his nose constantly. I would've thrown his ass out of the car and told him to get his own ride. But Ellsworth, who was disgusted, had to be polite because of their different positions on the WWE totem pole. Such a boring pairing because there could never be conflict. Slater/Rhyno was a bit better, but still dull compared to what their real car rides must be like. The only highlight was their visit to some sort of redneck superstore, and even that didn't last long enough. I wish the whole episode had taken place inside that store. DMJ
Man, I really like Charlotte and Bayley, but that segment on RAW was just awfully uncomfortable - just absolutely dreadful. Charlotte is not good enough to go 10+ minutes on the mic. I think I could list on one hand the number of wrestlers that can go that long so its not a knock against her. At certain points in the segment she was mocking Bayley's photos and obviously didn't even recognize Ivory (I think it was?) in one of those photos - her insult was something like, "I don't even know what to say about that picture" which is just awkward in a wrestling promo. Same for Charlotte mocking Bayley's poetry by trying to read it off the Titantron and failing because the print was too small. There were just all sorts of "goofs" in there that seemed to be because the writers/producers are telling her to "wing it" and lining up props for her to use (like the pictures and the poetry) and forgetting that she's not The Rock and didn't train in Second City and improv'ing jokes is easier said than done. THEN you have Bayley coming out after what felt like an hour of getting run down on the mic. Why wait so long to come out? Just poor, poor production choice. To make matters worse, Bayley is put in same position as Charlotte essentially, asked to speak her mind for 5+ minutes via promo instead of just coming in and knocking Charlotte's block off. Still a fan of both women, but this segment deserves all the criticism in the world for its lay-out.

KawadaSmile
WWE is just something else, isn't it? Managed to get me into a Ziggler/Lawler feud, even by exploiting the heart attack and having Ziggler being the dirt worst at promos.
FMKK
Pretty good Smackdown yet again. I enjoyed seeing Lawler but it took the crowd a while to get behind him. Wish he'd have got a few shots in on Ziggler.
FMKK
Flat ending for the La Luchadora reveal though. Bliss is a good character but she isn't over enough or good in the ring enough yet

goc
Kinda sad seeing Lawler get that half-assed reaction in Memphis. I think he got screwed by them doing his actual entrance during the break so the entrance pop wasn't on TV.

Still a fan of both women, but this segment deserves all the criticism in the world for its lay-out. Charlotte has done 10+ minute promos before and handled them better than anyone on the Raw roster besides Jericho/Steph/HHH. I didn't see the segment, but maybe it was just a bad night/bad set up. There is no active talent on Raw outside of Jericho that I trust to fill 10-15 minutes of promo time more than Charlotte.
goc
I feel like we've reached a point with people disliking Charlotte's push so much that reasons are just starting to be invented for why she's "not good" the way people were doing with Roman Reigns at the peak of Roman hate. The Raw segment was not one of her best but she's still so far ahead of any of the other women on the roster on the mic that it's ridiculous when I read people saying she's outright bad on the mic like I frequently see on twitter. If Charlotte is bad on the mic I'd hate to hear what people think of Bayley or Natalya.
stro
God that post-Raw promo where they gave her a softball set up to cut the most basic of babyface promos and it was so bad that LITA of all people had to tell her how bad it was and Booker ended up literally doing it for her was probably the most hilariously awkward few minutes of WWE TV in 2016. Why would you ever put her in a position to have to do any type of improv again after that in the first place?
Badlittlekitten
Was surprised by the complete lack of reaction to Mickie James but, cripes, she's still hot. Didn't watch the cage match, any good? Smackdown was good but i hope they don't hold out too long for the Orton turn. Him and AJ are the biggest full time babyfaces on the roster, it's not doing the show too good them playing heels. After being fairly positive about Raw it's has let me down the last couple of weeks. The lack of Steph/Foley didn't improve things at all. Agree that the Charlotte/Bayley segment was fuck awful. Charlotte's good but she's not at the level where she can make shite shine. Gosh I hate Seth Rollins.
