Phil Schneider
I started a new feature on Segunda Caida where I am reviewing Unicorn Gimmick Matches, fun gimmick matches which only got run once. I opened it up with the nutso Cellblock match from Wildside between Shank and Timber the Lumberjack. http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2017/04/unicorn-gimmick-matches-cell-block-match.html Any other suggestions? Mr. Lacelle
There's been only one hogpin match as far as I know.
Phil Schneider
Nope there were three HHH v. Godwin, Bischoff v. Austin and Santino v. Chavo and Vicky Still that could be a good one, HHH v. Godwin is the only one that mattered
Flyin' Brian
Capture the midget match 11/24/03 Raw
Zenjo
Was there only one Exploding Anal Bomb Death Match, or have I been missing out on all the fun?
Peppercorn Bing Bong
Isn't there a lot of good Big Japan matches like that? Exploding Thumbtack Balloons Match Matsunaga vs. an alligator Piranha Tank deathmatch There was also the Raw Sewage match from XPW that's probably at least good for a laugh. Jetlag
The SAW deathmatch. Snuff said. Actually I also just saw a Corporal Robinson vs. JC Bailey match on YouTube where are barefoot in thumbtacks fighting over loafers on a pole.
Robert S
Somebody please tell me that Russo never repeated Viagra on a pole in TNA or something... Plus other fun things on a pole like a leather jacket, a piñata or Judy Bagwell. How about that strange Texas death match version the WWF did at Wrestlemania X (Savage vs. Crush)? Al
Triple Tower of Doom! (Bash '88) I don't know if Uncensored '96 counts as the same thing or not. Believe World Class ran the same gimmick that Summer.
Phil Schneider
Man I want to watch good matches, why are you guys nominating the worst of Russo?
Loss
Sadly, I think most gimmick matches that were only done once were probably only done once for a reason. Still, I think there have gotta be some that are good, so we need to dig much deeper.
ChuckScumm
The SAW deathmatch. Snuff said. Actually I also just saw a Corporal Robinson vs. JC Bailey match on YouTube where are barefoot in thumbtacks fighting over loafers on a pole. I think there's been 4 SAW death matches. Hawkeye12
Thunderdome Match at Halloween Havoc 1989. They used the cage again but not with the electrified top gimmick and throw in the towel "terminator" stipulation.
Peppercorn Bing Bong
Some more I thought of: Roddy Piper vs. Goldust - Hollywood Backlot Brawl FMW Swimming Pool Deathmatch Big Japan Desert Deathmatch: Matsunaga vs. Shoji Nakamaki

elliott
Was there more than one Coward's Way Out match? Because Lawler vs Dream Machine. And I don't see it reviewed in the Lawler Complete & Accurate. Edit Also, that Hugo vs El Profe match mentioned above is fucking awesome.
