Childs Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Bummed that Joe and Rey didn't have an actual match. Quote
stunning_grover Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 WTF... Is Rey done with WWE or something? Quote

Matt D Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Rey's still hurt? That was a shame but they do need at least one heel to come out of this show looking strong. Quote
WingedEagle Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 There was talk Rey was injured earlier this week so perhaps this was their way around that. Quote
sek69 Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Rey hurt his ankle on Raw last week and was touch and go leading up to the show. Quote

stunning_grover Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Ah okay. I didn't realized Rey was hurt. I haven't watched WWE for over a month. Thanks for explaining. That makes this squash match less painful. Quote

sek69 Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Isn't having a separate team for Quebec and France like having a separate US and Australia teams? Quote
stunning_grover Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Drew vs. Roman... getting something to eat... Quote

I'm also glad that he moved past working as a reckless underdog. But this is more the guy he was on the indies, with some added character touches. So to me, he's tapping into what he always did best more than growing into something new. Either way, we agree that it's welcome. Quote
WingedEagle Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Its 10:05. We've got Roman/Drew, Hunter/Batista, Angle/Corbin, Balor/Lashley, potential Cena and Undertaker appearances, a musical act and the main event still to come. Does this even finish by 1AM? Quote
sek69 Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Considering the musical act will just be Elias getting beat up by someone (Cena?) I would say probably done by 12ish. Quote

To meet halfway, I think there was definitely something of the curse of the undersized babyface WWE main eventer in his big run and the last year has felt very different than that. I'd argue that his indy work had more 00s excess to it (though not always) and that this feels different and more grounded even still, but yeah, i think there's plenty of wiggle room between what you're saying and what I'm saying. Matt D Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Couple of things: I just bounced back to the 4 way and that spinning powerbomb by Beth was nuts. Also, I'm glad Roman got fireworks. Remember a few years ago when Hunter had a crazy entrance and Roman just walked out? Quote
