Resident Evil
Are we allowed to post youtube links on here? People might want to check out El Hijo Del Santo vs Mysterio on youtube. I have no idea but it looks to be a rare match. It's definitely worth watching. You'll never know what you find on youtube. I just saw some Stampede and noticed they had a double ring battle royal like WCW used to have. The difference here is that you had 10 seconds to come back in the ring once eliminated? They may also been the first to do a triangle or triple threat match. Has anyone ever seen any of the Bret Hart vs Dynamite Kid boxing match? If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a fairly well-known match, but an awesome one worth checking out if you've never seen it before. And yes, YouTube and Dailymotion are Godsends to wrestling fans everywhere.
Childs
Did they only wrestle once? I have a Barnett disc with a match between them from Tijuana in early '97. But that's the only one I've come across. Excellent match.
Tim Cooke
They have only wrestled one singles match. It is sometimes mistakenly referred to as 11/
Bix
Ron Rivera also shot his own copy of Misterio-Santo from the crowd. Not as good as Bob's, but well-done enough to use on a comp. in lieu off Bob's so he doesn't get mad at you.
tomk
I understand why Vince would think that shoots can't work in the long run. What really makes me question his sanity is that he looked at Chuck Liddell, a bland guy in his late 30s with a mohawk and a beer gut, and Rampage Jackson, an unbelievably charismatic guy with a great look in his late 20s, and somehow concluded that the wrong guy won the fight. But with this information, so much about why WWE has gone in the toilet the last few years makes a lot of sense. It's unclear if Vnce watched the entire show or just the main. And maybe I know too much, but I can't imagine anyone being able to watch UFC without being hit over the head with Dana White's Liddell hero worship.( White's the sucker who really thought that Liddell being shown up in Pride was a result of Pride rules and reffing.) Vince isn't known for his media literacy, but I don't think he could watch UFC without realizing that Liddell is the favorite son. I'd also assume one of the underlings that insisted on vVnce watching UFC was Undertaker (another guy with a comical Chuck Liddell infatuation). I assume that that's what was meant by "wrong guy". I'm paraphrasing your point into the actual classics thread to see if get anything deeper out of Meltzer. So classics has been down for a couple days fror me but Meltz post here: http://wrestlingclassics.com/cgi-bin/.ubbc...=1&t=086301 (Also worth tracking down his goofy posts about why Angle v. Puder would have draw better than Lesnar v Mir).
Tim Evans
So anyone watch the Larry King WWE special tonight? I thought it did a good job plugging Floyd/Show which was the main reason everyone was on. I got to say, Big show is real likeable and I wonder if they are going to one of those WWE films movies with him?

I thought it did a good job plugging Floyd/Show which was the main reason everyone was on. I got to say, Big show is real likeable and I wonder if they are going to one of those WWE films movies with him? I watched it thanks to YouTube. Enjoyable piece and good promotion for Wrestlemania. The Mayweather/Show pieces and hype should have sold a few swaying voters. I also got a kick out of Jericho's quip about losing to Triple H in 20 minutes and Vince's constant references to "we're entertainment". Does Larry King often look and sound like he doesn't give a shit or was this just a one off?
Tim Evans
He's always like that. Brando's dead so he doesn't care anymore. Well since I know no one watches TNA, They just showed Robby Mccalister(Highlanders) on the live Impact in the crowd with a big WWE Wrestler caption. Someone's getting fired. Guest DietSoda
Does this mean Sid can't work WWE now? As you know I started with them some 20 years ago and I’m looking forward to our future. I have seen the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase and I am impressed with the program and the guys. The last 7 years have been extremely rough on me. I love this industry and to have that taken away from me when I was on top, well you can imagine how a hit like that feels. I’m coming in with the NWA™ to show the world that this will be the greatest comeback in pro wrestling – ever!” States Vicious. S.L.L.
According to WO.com, at the same press conference where he announced this, he said he's still looking to return to the WW|E. So, no, I guess it doesn't mean he can't do that now. In a related news story, Sid holds press conferences, apparently.

Jingus
I wonder what he's been doing for the past three years. In the summer of '05, I worked a show where Sid wrestled. He had a horrible match, but truthfully I'd attribute that more to his opponent. Bobby Eaton, who sadly can't really seem to do much of anything these days. They even had to have some other guy run in so that someone could get powerbombed. But point being, Sid looked as if he'd fully recovered, just like his old self again. Weird that he's only worked a handful of dates on obscure shows, you think TNA would've brought him in for a little while at least.

anarchistxx
I just wonder what they were thinking putting Undertaker/Edge last on the card, when it was obvious it was the fourth least important match there.

MikeCampbell
I'd like to have seen Flair/Shawn go on last, but I can see why Edge/UT got that honor. The WWE Title had headlined the last couple of WM shows, so the World Title was due for a headline. Plus, it was a nice way to reward Edge for doing such a good job both in the ring and with his character by letting him (especially with his well documented WWF fandom as a child) headline a WrestleMania.
