Wow, Night 1 certainly delivered! Every match really felt like a big deal here, with the top half of the card standing out especially. Zbyszko vs Jeff Jarret was a war of attrition, and the main event was the epic finale I expected it to be. Very well done with the writing. I really enjoyed reading this, can't wait for Night 2!

Big 1st night of action!

The surprise match for me was the Bees losing and having to take off their masks. I thought for sure they would win that match.

Larry proves once again that he is the stud and snot nosed punk is going to take his title away. He's been around now for I don't know how many glorious years and anyone wanting to face him is on a one way trip to Larryland!

Stiff challenge from Tony Atlas but Nikita was up to the task in defending his belt and taking care of Norvell Austin.

Night 2

Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to night 2 of Brawls in St. Paul. We had a tremendous amount of action last night and I'm sure we'll keep the momentum up tonight. We've got the huge wargames match and 2 title matches. Plus, Ken Resnick will be interviewing yet another big name that has signed with the AWA. Ok, let's get this night going.

Synergy vs. The Olympians

There's a lot of tension between these two teams and things get heated when the Olympians try to start the match with a handshake. Synergy calms down, then agrees, but instead of shaking hands with the Olympians, they stereo dropkick them out of the ring. The crowd cheers Synergy on as they pump their fists while the Olympians are throwing a tantrum on the outside.

During the opening minutes, Synergy dominates with quick in and out tags, fast paced offense, crisp double team maneuvers and several near falls on both Rheingans and Patera. The Olympians finally get it together and control a segment with a combination of Patera's strength and power along with Rheingan's elite scientific wrestling skills.

After 10 minutes, Synergy gets the upper hand as Armstrong hits Rheingans with a reverse flying press. Armstrong roll over and tags in Rice. Rice goes to town with dropkicks and hip tosses on both Olympians. After several run ins by Patera, Armstrong has enough and all 4 men are in the ring going at it. The Ref is able to get things under control as he guides Armstrong back to his corner. While that is happening, Rice has Rheingans up for a suplex but Patera comes from behind and lowblows Rice. Rheingans falls on top of Rice as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! The Olympians roll out of the ring. Armstrong tends to his partner. Armstrong gets pissed when the Olympians applaud him and give him a thumbs up for a good match.

Winners of the Match- The Olympians

Mr. Olympia vs. 'The Fortunate One' Gary Young w/Dream Machine

This one starts with a bang as the former members of Gagne's Gang go toe to toe. Dream Machine tries to get involved but Olympia atomic drops Young into Dream and Dream goes flying through the ropes. Olympia gives Young a good thrashing. Olympia swings off the ropes but Dream grabs his foot. Olympia goes out after Dream and chases him around the ring. Olympia snatches Dream and is ready to punch him down but Young comes from behind and nails Olympia with a forearm blast.

Young slides into the ring and distracts the Ref as Dream slams Olympia down on the concrete. Dream hurls Olympia back in the ring. Young breaks all the rules as he works over Olympia. Dream gets his shots in as well. Young gets frustrated because he can't put Olympia away. Young hurls Olympia out of the ring and distracts the Ref. Dream picks up Olympia and swings him towards the steel post but Olympia reverses it and swings Dream into the post!

Young goes to the apron and jumps off to give Olympia a double axe handle but Olympia punches him in the gut. Young flips over and down. Dream is on the ground and puts a foreign object into his mask. Dream staggers up. The Ref starts the count. Olympia swings Young into Dream. Olympia picks up both men by their heads and knocks them together. Olympia slides back into the ring as the Ref hits 10. Dream and Young are laid out on the outside as the Ref raises Olympia's arm.

Winner of the Match by C.O.- Mr. Olympia

The Fantastics vs. The Glamour Boys

There's been a bit of friction between these two teams. The opening minutes are fast, furious and aggressive but clean. The match is back and forth with both teams impressing the fans with some high octane offense and text book tag team wrestling. The double team and stereo moves are top notch and keep the fans on the edge of their seats. Each team control segments but the tide turns often.

After 15 minutes of roller coaster action, the Fantastics are in control. They nail Simpson with a double hot shot. Fulton covers but Doll runs in and gives Fulton a jumping knee drop to break the pin. Rogers thinks that was over the top and runs in to confront Doll. Doll and Rogers argue then start shoving each other. The Ref breaks them up and escorts Rogers back to his corner. As Fulton gets up, Doll clotheslines him down, then goes back to his corner. Simpson rolls over and tags in Doll.

Doll works over Fulton and tags in Simpson. They swing Fulton to the ropes and hit a double flapjack. Simpson covers but Rogers runs in and breaks it with a jumping elbow drop. This brings in Doll and once again a shoving match develops. The Ref gets order and both men go back to their corners. Simpson and Fulton start to rise, Fulton crawls under Simpson's legs and tags in Rogers. Rogers is on fire as he goes off on Simpson. Rogers hits a dropkick from the middle ropes and covers but Doll breaks it with a hard stomp to the head. Simpson is finally able to roll over and tag in Doll.

Rogers and Doll let out all their tension and hammer away on each other. It gets so intense that Fulton and Simpson run in, which turns into a brawl. The Glamour Boys get the upper hand and swing the Fantastics to the ropes. The Glamour Boys go for back drops but both Fantastics hit stereo sunset flips. The Ref counts both men 1..2..3!

Both teams pause and regroup. They are face to face. Finally, the Glamour Boys extend their hands. The Fantastics pause, then smile and shake hands. The fans cheer. The Glamour Boys pat the Fantastics backs and exit. The Fantastics celebrate.

WHAM! From behind the Glamour Boys hit the Fantastics with chairs! The fan's boos are deafening. The Glamour Boys start brutally beating down on the Fantasics with the chairs. Officials rush in the ring. The Glamour Boys throw the chairs down and leave.

Winners of the Match- The Fantastics.

AWA TV Title Bout

'The A-Lister' Brian Adias (C) vs. Iceman Parsons

Parsons electrifies the crowd as he enters the ring to 'We are Family' by Sister Sledge. The cheers turn to boos as Adias arrogantly enters the ring wearing sunglasses. He pulls out a towel and shines his TV title, then raises it towards Parsons and yells "You don't deserve this"

The Ref wants to signal for the bell but Adias is yelling at the ring attendant. Adias doesn't trust him with his sunglasses. Adias now refuses to take off his sunglasses and give them to the attendant. The Ref is warning Adias but Adias pushes him off and continues yelling at the attendant.

The Ref finally signals for the bell. Adias still wont take off his sunglasses. Parsons swings off the ropes. Adias turns around as Parsons nails him with the Hip Attack. Adias's sunglasses go flying off as Parsons covers 1..2..3!!!!! HUGE POP!

The fans are going wild. The Ref hands Parsons the title. Parsons is celebrating big time. Adias is still dazed. He tries to stand but falls back down. Parsons goes out and celebrates with the fans. They hug him as he holds the title high.

Winner of the match and NEW AWA TV Champ- Iceman Parsons

'Crippler' Rip Oliver vs. Crusher Blackwell

These guys have had quite the altercations and don't waste any time getting things started. It's not pretty but it's hard hitting. The first couple minutes is just a slugfest with neither man getting the upper hand. They end up on the outside and continue trading blows. They finally get back in the ring. Blackwell rakes Oliver's eyes to take control.

Blackwell slams Oliver down and stomps away. Blackwell picks Oliver up, swings him to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Blackwell drops a big elbow 1..2..Kick Out. Blackwell swings Oliver to the corner and charges in with a running knee to the mid section. Blackwell hip tosses Oliver over. Blackwell hits a standing leg drop 1..2..Oliver gets his shoulder up. Oliver swings off the ropes and this time clotheslines Blackwell down. Oliver hops on the middle ropes and comes down with a forearm drop 1..2..Kick Out. Oliver goes to the middle ropes and waits. Blackwell staggers up. Oliver leaps off but Blackwell uses the momentum to catch Oliver and powerslam him over 1..2..Oliver barley kicks out.

Both men are slowly moving around on the canvas. Blackwell slowly grabs Oliver, swings him into the corner and charges in for the avalanche! Oliver staggers out and falls down backwards. Blackwell hits the big splash 1..2..3!

Winner of the match- Crusher Blackwell.

Non-Sanctioned NO DQ Bounty Match

El Canek vs. The Sheik

Greg Gagne has put a 100,000 dollar bounty on El Canek and the Sheik is here to collect. Sheik comes down the aisle and looks thirsty for blood. He takes off his ring attire and carefully sets it down on the ringside table. The fans cheer as Canek comes out. Canek's arm is bandaged due to that fireball attack by Sheik weeks ago. The Ref's only here to confirm a winner.

Sheik runs up the aisle and the fight is on! It's nothing but punches as they tear into each other. Canek uses his strength and pushes Sheik into the guardrail. Canek slams Sheik's head on the rail, then picks him up and slams him down on the concrete. Canek drags Sheik down the aisle and swings him into the ringside steps. Canek picks up Sheik and delivers a vertical suplex on the concrete. Sheik is hurt but he reaches in his tights and pulls out a foreign object. Sheik still can't get up. Canek reaches down but Sheik hits his eye with the foreign object. Canek falls back holding his eye.

Sheik slowly moves around and staggers up favoring his back. He slowly moves towards Canek and digs into his mask with the object. Sheik grabs Canek's hand and starts biting his fingers. Sheik chokes Canek. Sheik grabs a cable and chokes Canek with it. Sheik starts angrily stomping on Canek's back. Sheik then applies the camel clutch! Sheik has a sadistic look as he wrenches away. Canek is hurting bad. Sheik slowly crawls over to his ring attire on the table. He pulls out something and plays with it. Canek slowly rises. Sheik walks towards Canek. Sheik lights a fireball but as he throws it, Canek kicks it in his face! Sheik is falling back as Canek clotheslines him down. Sheik's on the ground holding his face. The Ref frantically runs over to Sheik. Canek gets on the apron and hits a jumping leg drop on Sheik. The Ref has seen enough and stops the match. He quickly raises Canek's arm. Canek is hurting but walks out of there. Medics rush to attend to Sheik. The fans are still in a bit of shock.

Winner of the Match- El Canek

AWA National Tag Team Title Bout

Badd Co. (C) w/Baby Doll vs. The Rose Cousins

Judging by the opening minutes, the champs and Baby Doll might've seriously underestimated the Roses. The Roses look focused, in sync and determined as they take Badd Co. to school. The momentum finally changes when a desperate Baby Doll reaches in and scratches Pat's face.

Badd Co. regroup and turn it up. They work over Pat with several double team maneuvers but can't put him away. They swing Pat to the ropes but miss a double clothesline, Pat swings back, clotheslines but men down and tags in Randy. Randy pounds away on both men and sends Diamond through the ropes with a punch. Randy hits Tanaka with a Russian Leg Sweep 1..2..Tanaka gets his foot on the rope.

The Roses continue to work over Tanaka. Pat almost puts him away with a jaw breaker but Diamond makes the save. Pat tags in Randy. They double suplex Tanaka 1..2..Diamond breaks it. Pat runs in but the Ref guides him back, which allows Diamond to hit a backbreaker on Randy.

Tanaka slowly makes the tag to Diamond. This time Randy is in peril as Badd Co. work him over. Diamond chokes Randy on the middle ropes as Tanaka swings off the ropes, leapfrogs over Diamond and hits a body guillotine on Randy. Tanaka covers but Pat breaks it. Diamond runs in but Pat pounds him back to the corner. Baby Doll is screaming at the Ref. Pat goes back to his corner and cheers Randy on. Randy finally makes the tag. Tanaka tags in Diamond at the same time.

Diamond and Pat go toe to toe. Diamond goes for a big roundhouse but Pat ducks and hits a back suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Pat swings Diamond to the ropes and puts him down with a high knee 1..2..Tanaka breaks it. Diamond runs in and we've got a fight. During the chaos, Baby Doll gets on the apron and starts yelling at the Ref. The Ref runs over and is telling her to get down. The Rose's hurl Tanaka out of the ring. Randy gets on the turnbuckles. Pat hoists Diamond up and sets him on Randy's shoulder. Randy crashes down with the Rose Bomb!

Hold On! The Rich's (in street clothes) run in and attack the Roses! They hurl Pat out of the ring and hit Randy with a double front face suplex. The Rich's get out of there.

Baby Doll is now telling the Ref to turn around. The Ref does as Diamond rolls over on Randy. The ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOO

Winners of the match and STILL AWA National Tag Team Champs- Badd Co.

As the cage is being set up for War games, Ken Resnick is at the top of the aisle.

Resnick: Well, thanks to the Wild Ones, Badd Company retains. What an event this has been. It's not over yet as we prepare for the War Games. Fans, right now it is my honor and privilege to welcome to the AWA a true American patriot. Please welcome Sgt. Slaughter!

The fans get up and cheer as Sgt. Slaughter walks out in his full Military gear. He looks around and nods his head.

Resnick: Sgt. Slaughter, judging by this reaction, the fans are happy to see you here in the AWA. Welcome.

Slaughter: (looks around and takes it all in) As I look around this arena, the only thing I want to do is puke!

The fans get quiet and Resnick is dumb founded.

Slaughter: That's right! All you maggots (looks at Resnick) and you make me sick! It makes me sick that you people cheer a commie red as your world champion. I've been watching this sickening behavior and knew I had to come to the AWA and clean house. That's right! Sgt. Slaughter is going to restore law and order here in the AWA. Nikita Koloff! Listen up and listen good. My mission is to end your evil reign of terror and to make things right again. You don't belong here and I despise everything you represent. (looks at the crowd) You people are the reason why this country is becoming weak. You welcome and support a commie like Nikita Koloff. Sgt. Slaughter is going to put a stop to that. By any means necessary I will take the world title from Nikita Koloff and bring it back to where it belongs. (looks at Resnick) You're dismissed!

Resnick is speechless

Night 2, Let's go.

After their behavior tonight, i think The Olympians might just be one of the biggest hell acts in the AWA.

Dream's loaded mask backfires.

I was waiting for The Glamour Boys to snap and tonight was the night.

Adias' obsession with his shades costs him his gold.

SuperClash 3! Ah yeah!

Blackwell crushes Oliver.

The Sheik played with fire and got burned.

The Rich's decide if they don't win any titles, then The Rose's can't either.

The Sarge is here to rescue the World Tilte from that Godless commie Nikita. ....Wait.

Amazing level of detail i Wargames. I like Kerry getting the win after the early distraction by Gordy. I'll be interested to see what happens with The Asylum after Jumbo plants the leader.

Awesome work with Brawls in St. Paul.  I really struggle to write up actual matches and just give the finish.  You did a great job giving so many details.

Some highlights for me included

-Vin Man getting tossed around at the end

-DJ giving a nod of respect to Kelly after the war!

-The arrival of Gordy.  The Freebirds vs The VonErichs was always one of my favorites with Gordy and Kerry being the main-eventers,  Now this is going to be a War!

I think the fans being surprised at the Killer Bees was cool.  Since they are pretty big names to us, I forgot what a mask would do for an angle.  Nice job here.

Zbysko-Jarrett was my favorite bout.  Your opening segment here with Larry Z taking the mic made everyone hate him even more.  I hope we get more of this again.

Nikita vs Atlas with Nikita as the babyface and Atlas as the heel was classic!

I think you did a great job of getting the fans into Night II very early.  With all Dream has done in the AWA, seeing him laid out would get the fans hooting from the get-go.

Great match between the Glamour Boys and the Fantastics.  I think you really nailed the finish.  The Fantastics are the big team here and needed a win.  The handshake keeps the fans interested in the Glamour Boys.

Iceman with the TV belt.... I can see the dancing now.

I enjoyed the war between Crippler and Blackwell.  Crippler remains strong in my opinion as it takes some kind of man to survive a powerslam from Crusher.

WOW.... Canek with a reverse fireball on Sheik.  What an image this paints.

Nice job keeping the angles fresh as the Rich-Rose situation seems ready to explode!

Heel Sgt. Slaughter is my favorite.  This is going to be fun.

Kerry leaves War Games as a big star.... Kerry vs Gordy... I am all in.

What a great job you did.

Night 2 didn't disappoint.

Okay, maybe it did in the Adias/Parsons match. First with the loss then how it was done. Too fast, too furious. Brian with such a great build only to go down SOOOOO easily.

I was surprised by Olympia getting the win over Gary Young. I thought Young with Dream Machine had enough of an advantage with someone in is corner. Guess not.

Heel Slaughter is good. Should be tons of fun.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 10-13-88

awa2.jpg.25aae2400209e6fcd3602652b57f62eb.jpg

This week's show comes from an empty Hammond Center. It's a highlight show of Brawls in St. Paul along with ringside interviews.

Iceman Parsons: (Holding his newly won TV title) Oh baby! I'm flying high and on top of the world! I told Brian Adias I would deal with him in St. Paul and I did just that. It feels so good to be the AWA TV and I won't duck any challenge. Sign your name and brother I'm there!

Brian Adias: I can't believe the travesty that took place in St. Paul! I have filed a protest and will talk to Gerry Morrow face to face next week. Parsons! That's my title and trust me, it's coming back. Your reign will be voided and mine will continue. It's as simple as that. Gerry Morrow, I look forward to talking with you next week and I know you'll see things my way.

The AWA World Tag Team Champs the Guerreros cut a promo and say they're united more than ever and plan to hold on to these titles for a long time.

Baby Doll speaks on behalf of the AWA National Tag Champs Badd Co. She says Badd Co. are the coolest team in wrestling and will be the team of the 90s. And yes, Badd Co. will still be champions in the 90s.

El Canek cuts a promo with Subtitles and says Greg Gagne better talk to the Sheik if he plans on sending in more goons to collect a bounty.

Paul Orndorff: Mr. Wonderful came into the AWA with a bang and the momentum is getting stronger and stronger. I see some gold in the near future.

Tiger Jeet Singh, Buzz Sawyer and Kokina are together. They're sporting some bandages and bruises.

Singh: I want to say Jumbo Tsuruta opened our eyes. Abbuda Iaukea was the weak link of the Asylum and lost a battle for us. The Asylum accepts no weak links. Which is why Buzz Sawyer is now officially one of us. Next week our new leader will arrive and then the Asylum will reign supreme over the entire AWA!

Dream Machine is standing with Gary Young.

Dream: Olympia! You think you got one over on us, well think again babay! Next time you see us, we're going to put you down and rip that stupid mask off your head and exposed that ugly face of yours!

Young: Olympia, you took the coward's way out in St. Paul but sooner or later you'll have to be a man and meet me face to face.

Olympia: Those guys never shut up, do they? You listen to me Dream, if you and your lacky want another shot at me, come and get it!

Crusher Blackwell: I told everybody the old Crusher would be back and I proved that. Let that be a message to every big man in the AWA. I'm the biggest and baddest here!

Scott Putski , Vinnie Valentino and Lanny Poffo were all scheduled for interviews but they all no showed.

Tom Brandi: Getting a big win at Brawls in St. Paul was a true highlight for me. I'm excited to continue my winning ways in the AWA.

The Olympians (Patera and Rheingans) congratulate Synergy on a hard fought match in St. Paul but we were the better team. Olympians say they're looking forward to more clean and competitive matches with teams like the Gunslingers, Venomous and eventually the Guerreros.

The Glamour Boys cut a promo and said the reason they attacked the Fantastics with chairs after the match was because the Fantastics needed a wake up call.

Venomous cut a promo and end it by holding up the Killer Bees masks.

DJ Peterson: 3 years, 3 years Kevin Kelly and I were at war. It was a long and brutal road but it finally came to an end in St. Paul. Now that that's finally over, it's time to move on.

The Wild Ones (Johnny and Davey Rich) say they should be the world champs right now. They were cheated. They also say they're going to take out all their frustrations on those dirty Rose Cousins.

The Rose Cousins say the Richs are nothing but poor losers and crossed the line by interfering in their National tag title bout in St. Paul. The Rose's are getting payback. Bank on it!

Ray Stevens is with Jumbo Tsuruta

Stevens: Everybody wants to know why Jumbo powerbombed Abbuda Iaukea. It's real simple. Jumbo Tsuruta does not lose! Losing is unacceptable to Jumbo! Now that that's settled, here are our intentions. We want the AWA world title!

Kerry Von Erich is with Carlos Colon, Tatsumi Fujinami and the Gunslingers. They're bandaged and bruised as well.

Kerry: The five of us walked into WarGames and came out victorious! Now, we all have goals to pursue but we'll always be there for each other. And Terry Gordy, I have never avoided you. You're in the AWA now and I'm not a hard man to find. Anytime! Anyplace!

Larry Zbyszko: (holding his Mid American title) Brawls in St. Paul was such a glorious event, because I got to teach young Jeff Jarrett a wrestling lesson in front of his spudhead dad.

Nikita Koloff: (AWA world title on his shoulder) A lot of people thought the odds were against me. I know Tony Atlas and Norvell Austin did. Well, Nikita prove them wrong and put them down. As for you Sgt. Slaughter, you badmouth the fans for supporting Nikita. You call me the enemy. Nikita love this country! The fans have embraced Nikita. Nikita loves his fans! If you want a shot at my title, you earn it and we will settle this!

AWA Major League Wrestling's regular format returns next week.

Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Brawls in St. Paul was quite the event and now the AWA looks forward to the next Title Night, which will be on Saturday November 17th at the Mecca in Milwaukee. Listen to this, in 2 weeks right here on TV, there will be a battle royal and the winner will face Nikita Koloff at Title Night for the AWA world title. Big news indeed. Well, we have a lot of action for you tonight, including our big main event as the Wild Ones take on the Rose Cousins. Ok, let's get to the ring.

Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy vs. Neil Jordan

gordy.jpg.b22772a63ec7632ea9f36f6cc5b7312f.jpg

Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd plays as Gordy hits the ring. Gordy simply destroys his opponent and makes him submit to the Asian spike.

Nelson: Terry Gordy, you made your presence known in St. Paul and it's clear you want Kerry Von Erich in the ring. Looks like you will get your wish because both you and Kerry will be in the upcoming battle royal.

Gordy: Kerry Von Erich! I'm coming for you boy! I will see you in the battle royal and not only will I give you the beating of your life, but I'm going to win the battle royal and go on to win the AWA world title!

Commercial Break

The Fantastics vs. Sam Smith and Clyde Putnam

fantastics.jpg.6f85e182fbf652ccdbdec5b7a7ca6f6b.jpg

Fantastics look a little more aggressive tonight and win the match with the Rocket Launcher.

Fantastics cut a heated promo on the Glamour Boys and tell them they made this personal and now it's time to show them just who the superior tag team is.

Commercial Break

Nelson: Fans as you know, the CWA is a strong affiliate of the AWA. You all saw Jeff Jarrett represent the CWA in St. Paul and now our World Tag Team champs, the Guerreros will be in Memphis this week defending their titles. I know there's a lot more planned with the CWA. Speaking of talent touring. Both Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami are currently on tour in Japan. The AWA prides itself on International talent. Along those lines, next up is the tag team debut of Huracan Castillo and Miguel Perez Jr., known as the San Juan Saints. Let's check them out.

The San Juan Saints vs. Brayden Patrick and Louis Landen

sjsaints.jpg.30de766a0e7cc11dff6341249dd841d3.jpg

Castillo and Perez look pretty cool as they come out wearing Puerto Rican themed colored pants and each have a gold medallion.

The San Juan Saints show off solid chemistry and gel well together. Castillo executes a vertical suplex as Castillo follows with a leg drop from the 2nd rope for the win. The fans applaud as the Saints pump their fists to them.

Commercial Break

Nelson: Fans....

Brenda Britton walks out.

Britton: I'll handle this Larry, take a break.

Nelson rolls his eyes and leaves.

Britton: Hi Everybody! It's my upmost pleasure to welcome out the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow.

Morrow walks out in his white suit, fedora hat and sunglasses. He kisses Brenda's hand.

Britton: Oh Gerry, you're the most. So much exciting stuff going on in the AWA and it's all thanks to you. Right now, I know you have business with Brian Adias.

Morrow: I do indeed Brenda. I would like to ask Mr. Adias to come on out.

Boos as Adias comes out wearing a suit and sunglasses. He's also carrying a gift wrapped box.

Morrow: Brian, I have heard your protest regarding your TV title loss to Iceman Parsons in St. Paul. You may now speak on that.

Adias: Thank you Gerry. As you saw, I was talking with the ring attendant before the bell rang. I wanted to make sure he wasn't careless with my sunglasses. Those sunglasses were given to me by Sylvester Stallone himself. Gerry, you know how important sunglasses are.

Morrow: Hahahahaha, yes I do.

Adias: Exactly. Now, during this conversation, the Referee rang the bell. He's supposed to make sure I'm ready. He didn't do that. I was then blindsided by that cheater Parsons and you know the rest. I want that match voided and my TV title returned immediately. Oh, by the way, I have a gift for you.

Adias hands Morrow the box.

Britton: (clapping with enthusiasm) Open it Gerry!

Morrow opens it and pulls out a bottle of expensive champagne. Morrow smiles as he looks at the bottle.

Britton: Wow!

Morrow: You know Brian, you do bring up a valid point. I'll tell you what. I will hold up de TV title. In 2 weeks, you and Iceman Parsons will wrestle for de title. Sound good?

Adias: Gerry, you're a fair man. And also, when I win, I want my previous reign to remain intact.

Morrow: Ok, that can be done.

Britton: See Gerry, that's why you're the C.O.O., you get things handled. Until next time, toooooodles.

Commercial Break

Coast to Coast vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez

taumvic.jpg.be716141b03c85ddec33dd990c1e8e31.jpg

Tatum and Victory are all over their opponents and win the match with a double flapjack.

Nelson: Guys, I have to ask, where is the Vin Man?

Tatum: Is that a joke? What's your problem Larry?

Nelson: It's not a joke. Does it have to do with DJ Peterson winning the war with Kevin Kelly?

Tatum: Oh, you're a real comedian.

Victory gives Nelson a light push.

Tatum: Vinnie is very depressed right now. Kevin Kelly has left the AWA and that has taken a severe toll on Vinnie. Jack and I want Vinnie to know that we love him and support him. We're here for you Vin Man!

Commercial Break

We come back and see a man watching a Rugby game in Yorkshire England. He turns around and it's Dave Taylor.

taylor.jpg.4082641d2168def937213c14569e8917.jpg

Taylor: Alright then. It's been awhile since I was in the AWA. You might say I needed to go back to my roots for a bit. Well, it's time I got back in the ring and this time I'm going to do things right. It's time to put my skills and talent to the test. The way I was trained.

Commercial Break

Nelson: (Nervous) With me now is the Asylum.

Kokina looks like a beast and Sawyer is swinging his chain around.

Tiger Jeet Singh: Everybody thought the Asylum was done. NO! This is only the beginning! We now have a leader that understands our motives. He is Gama Singh!

Gama walks out.

Nelson: I can't believe this!

Gama: You must believe it! It is real! Now watch us unleash pain and punishment!

The Asylum (Gama Singh, Tiger Jeet Singh, Buzz Sawyer and Kokina)

vs.

Trent Watkins, Arnie Goldstein, Warren Coolidge and Reese Jackson

The Asylum take turns inflicting pain on their opponents. Sawyer hits a powerslam on Watkins. Tiger Jeet executes a backbreaker. Kokina follows with a standing leg drop and Gama finishes things off with the camel clutch. The Asylum beats up all the other opponents and hurl them all out of the ring.

Commercial Break

We come back and see Greg Gagne doing more physical therapy.

Gagne: Any man that went through what I did would not be able to stand. As you can see I'm not an ordinary man. I promise you I'll be back in no time. As for you El Canek, I'm not done by a long shot. I will now increase the bounty on you from 100,000 dollars to 150,000 dollars. To all those who want to collect, happy hunting.

Back Live

'Diamond' Timothy Flowers vs. Ray Glader

flowers.jpg.70f3a6574b4bf0623f098581cf2d1c10.jpg

Flowers hits the piledriver and it's all over.

Nelson: Timothy Flowers, welcome back to the AWA. So, what's on your agenda here?

Flowers: Everybody knows what I accomplished up in Pacific. I cleaned house up there. Well, now I'm here in the AWA for one reason, the money! A hundred and fifty thousand dollars is a lot of money. El Canek! I'm challenging you and trust me, I'm going to get that money!

Commercial Break

The Wild Ones vs. The Rose Cousins

richs.jpg.a6d50df3d662493de12020081cceb70c.jpgroses.jpg.9b827032abed6398624b6277b39aae5f.jpg

This one never officially gets started. Before either team enters the ring, they start brawling all over the place. The cameras stick with it and the fans get to see a good brawl until prelim wrestlers and officials run out to break it up.

Commercial Break

Nelson: My goodness, the situation between those two teams is obviously far from over. Fans next week, the AWA world champ Nikita Koloff will be here. Gary Young goes one on one with his current rival Mr. Olympia. All that and a lot more. Right now, gear up because Sgt. Slaughter is in action.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Todd Rooney

slaughter.jpg.d076f834903bc5dfb933097bee15c8e6.jpg

Slaughter is heavily booed as he walks to the ring in full military gear.

Slaughter picks his opponent a part before winning the match with the Cobra Clutch.

Nelson: Sgt. Slaughter, I think these fans are very disappointed in you.

Slaughter: Listen up puke! I don't care what these maggots think! They make me sick. All these lowlifes are why this country is in complete disarray. Well Sgt. Slaughter is going to fix that. I'm in the upcoming battle royal and I'm going to win that battle royal. And you know what's next? I'm going to beat that no good commie Nikita Koloff and bring the AWA world title right where it belongs...right here in my hands. (Looks at Nelson) You're dismissed!

Gordy has two things on his mind. Beating up a Von Erich and winning the world title.

The Fantastics are fired up and ready to take it to the Glamor Boys.

The San Juan Saints make a great first impression.

Adidas offers a generous bri...I mean makes a convincing argument ;). Now we've got the TV title held up and Parsons could see his win erased from the record books.

Coast 2 Coast send a warm shout-out to the Vin Man.

Gagne raises the bounty and Diamond Tim Flowers is ready to claim it.

The Rich's and the Rose's don't wait for the bell allowing Sarge to give the sendoff.

All the new angles are up and running and the AWA is on fire.

Very creative booking this week as you came up with an interesting way to get the Gordy-VonErich feud going in the battle royal and very creative way to keep Brian Adias in the spotlight as the title was upheld because the ref rang the bell too early.  Nice job!

I am also enjoying the depth of the tag team division.  Nice addition with San Juan Saints.

Can't wait for the Sgt. Slaughter thing to get going.  I think he was one of the best heels in the sport when I first starting watching wrestling.  I think I was about 10 years old and saw Slaughter vs Andre in the main event in the White Plains County Center.  This was the only show I have ever been to.  It was great.

Nikita: Thank you very much Larry. Nikita has prided himself on being a fighting champion. I will continue to take on all comers. It no matter who win the battle royal because Nikita will be more than ready.

Zbyszko's arrogance is at an all time high as he irks the fans during the entire match. Zbyszko executes the swinging neckbreaker for the win.

Nelson: Larry Zbyszko, I understand you will be in the big battle royal next week.

Zbyszko: (gives Nelson a look of distain) Nelson, you really are a spudhead. Of course I'm going to be in the battle royal. There's only one thing left for me to do and that's win the world title. All those other participants are coming into Larry Land and they're all going to find out why I'm the main attraction. Oh and by the way Nelson, nobody cares about which wrestlers are on tour. Why don't you make better use of our air time and talk about a true living legend and champion like me. Get it together.

Nelson rolls his eyes and cuts to a commercial.

As Canek is walking to the ring, Flowers runs up from behind and levels him with a forearm blast. Flowers grabs Canek and swings him into the guardrail. Flowers grabs Canek and slams his head on the top of the rail. Flowers takes Canek over towards the ring and slams his head on the apron. Flowers looks into the camera and yells "The money is mine!"

Canek follows with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Canek reaches down but Flowers lowblows him.

Flowers is clearing the cobwebs as he rolls out of the ring. Flowers staggers around and grabs a chair. Flowers tosses the chair into the ring and follows. Flowers picks up the chair. Commercial Break

Brenda Britton: Hi everybody, if you see me, then you know who's coming out. That's right our AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow.

Morrow comes out and kisses Brenda's hand.

Morrow: Brenda, it is always a pleasure.

Britton: Oh Gerry, you are such a gentleman. Ok, last week you announced that the TV title is held up. Next week, Brian Adias will face Iceman Parsons for the TV title. If Adias wins, his previous reign will remain intact and Iceman Parson's title win will be erased from the records. Correct?

Morrow: Dat is correct Brenda. You're so very smart. It is only fair dat I bring out Mr. Parsons and have a chat. Will de Iceman cometh. Hahahahaha

Parsons walks out with the TV title.

Parsons: You know Gerry, everybody saw me win this here title in St. Paul, fair and square brother. That sore loser cries about it and bribes you with champagne and now the title is held up. What the hell is going on here?

Morrow: AHHHHH de champagne was no bribe, but a simple gift. You have every right to be upset. However, Mr. Adias did have a solid point. I will need you to hand over de title. But, before you do I will say dis. If you win next week, then Mr. Adias will never get another shot at dat title for as long as you are de champion. How does dat sound?

Parsons: I don't like any of this but looks like I don't have a choice. Iceman Parsons doesn't cry Jack and I had no problem beating Adias before and brother I'll do it again!

Parsons gives Morrow the TV title.

Morrow: Very good Mr. Parsons, I will see you next week.

Britton: There you have it. Until next time, tooooodles.

Baby Doll applauds as Tanaka karate kicks Rooney into a back suplex by Diamond for the win.

Nelson: Baby Doll, I've been informed that your men Badd Co. will be defending their National tag titles against the Gunslingers at Title Night. As you know, the Gunslingers were on the winning team at War Games.

Baby Doll: Oh wow, big deal. That doesn't mean a thing because they don't stand a chance against Badd Co. Badd Co. is the team of the 90s. Those wannabe cowboys are outdated and need to be put out to the pasture. Well, Badd Co. will do just that at Title Night.

Gama whispers something to Kokina. Kokina then heads to the ring. Blackwell stares at him a little longer before heading to the back.

Gama looks on with approval as Kokina hits the Samoan Drop for the win.

Black Bart vs. Steven Kofax

bart.jpg.f539cb331f833628462da67ee20c78c4.jpg

Bart impresses in his debut and finishes things off with his Texas trash compactor. Bart grabs his cowbell and heads to ringside.

Nelson: Black Bart, that was quite the debut. I'm sure that's what we can expect from you here in the AWA.

Bart: You're dug gam right! There's...

Boos as Brian Adias comes out with a box.

Adias: Bart, let me be the first to welcome a fellow Texan to the AWA. To welcome you, I have a very special gift for you. As you know, I've been bumping shoulders with Hollywood's biggest stars and agents. I bought this gift, especially for you. Go ahead and open it.

Bart takes the box and looks it over. He opens it and pulls out a cowboy hat.

Adias: That there hat was worn by none other than John Wayne in the movie True Grit. I saw that and knew you had to have it.

Bart actually smiles. He looks over the hat and puts it on.

Adias: You were born to wear that hat because you are exactly what true grit is.

Bart: This is the best damn gift I've ever received. Much obliged Brian.

They walk off together leaving a puzzled Nelson behind.

Commercial Break

Mr. Olympia vs. 'The Fortunate One' Gary Young w/Dream Machine

Young staggers up as Olympia grabs Dream and swings him into Young. Olympia takes Young and hurls him back in the ring. Olympia swings Young to the ropes and punches him in the gut, as Young is keeled over. Olympia nails him with a running knee lift 1..2..Young gets his foot on the rope. Olympia picks up Young, swings him to the ropes and back drops him. Olympia picks up Young and swings him into the corner, then follows with a running knee to the mid section. Dream Machine hops on the apron. Olympia runs over and sends Dream flying off with a big punch. Dream's on the ground. He reaches in his tights and loads his mask with a foreign object then tries to regain his senses.

Olympia picks up Young but Young rakes his eyes, grabs his trunks and pulls Olympia through the ropes. Young distracts the Ref as Dream runs over, grabs Olympia's head from behind and headbutts the back of his head with a loaded mask. Dream hurls Olympia back in the ring. Young picks up Olympia and hits a double arm DDT 1..2..3! BOOOOOO!

Commercial Break

Nelson: Well, I can tell you right now, the situation between Mr. Olympia, Gary Young and Dream Machine is far from over. Fans, next week the Bruisers will face Coast to Coast for a shot at the world tag titles. Also, you'll see the huge battle royal with the winner getting a world title shot at Title Night. On that note, coming out now is one of the participants, Kerry Von Erich!

kerry2.jpg.0a3e84140a04cc06968b59d3bf07ec0e.jpg

The fans go wild as Kerry comes out to Rush's Tom Sawyer.

Nelson: Kerry, you have a lot on your mind. The upcoming battle royal and Terry Gordy.

Kerry: All I hear is Terry Gordy talking about how he wants to fight me. Hey Terry! I'm right here baby! Anytime you want to fight, then come with it. We'll see each other in the battle royal next week and you can bet I'm coming to fight! When I'm done with Gordy, then it's time for a world title shot. And Terry Gordy isn't going to stand in my way!

Nikita isn't worried about who wins the battle royal next week and honestly? If I were him I wouldn't either.

The Bruisers are looking strong ahead of a #1 contenders match.

Larry Z is such a prick. I almost want to see him win next week so Nikita can take his head off.

Canek fends off another bounty hunter.

I don't blame Parson for rolling his eyes but at least Gerry is trying to be fair(ish) about things.

Mr Wonderful has to be a favorite for next week.

Badd Company has a firm grip on the National Tag titles.

Blackwell vs Kokina sounds like a Kaiju movie waiting to happen.

Adidas sure is being liberal with his gift-giving. Though I can admit Bart is a pretty good friend to have.

The Fortune One evens the score with Mr Olympia with a little help from Dream Machine babay.

Kerry looks to multitask next week and I'm not sure he can pull it off.

AWA @ The Quandt Fieldhouse, Stevens Point WI 10-29-88

awa2.jpg.25aae2400209e6fcd3602652b57f62eb.jpg

The San Juan Saints defeated The Malachi Brothers- The Saints hit a double body slam and followed with stereo elbow drops for the win.

Sgt. Slaughter defeated An Enhancement Talent with the Cobra Clutch- After the match, Slaughter cut a scathing promo and lectured the crowd on "patriotism" and berated them for supporting Nikita Koloff as the world champion.

The Olympians defeated The Rose Cousins- The Rose's had things going their way until the Rich's came out. Davey distracted the Ref as Johnny yanked Randy off the apron. Pat went to his cousin's aid but Patera clipped him from behind and Rheingans finished him off with a gut wrench suplex. The Rich's ran away laughing.

'Thrilling' Tom Brandi defeated 'Luscious' Lanny Poffo by C.O.- Brandi nailed Poffo with a missile dropkick that sent Poffo bouncing out of the ring. It looked like Poffo had other things on his mind because at the last second he decided not to roll back in the ring.

Venomous defeated The Wild Ones- It was payback time as the Rose's came out. Pat distracted the Ref as Randy yanked Johnny off the apron. An irate Davey tried to go out and help, but Venomous grabbed Davey from behind and executed a double back suplex for the win. This time it was the Rose's walking away laughing.

'Dynamite' DJ Peterson defeated 'Crippler' Rip Oliver with a flying shoulder tackle. Interesting thing here was 'Mean' Mike Miller came out and had a conversation with a distraught Oliver. The two then left the ring together.

The Glamour Boys defeated The Fantastics- These teams gave the fans an exciting roller coaster ride. Both teams gave it their all and traded momentum several times. After 25 minutes of non stop action, the Ref took a bump during a pier six brawl. Rogers and Doll were fighting outside the ring. Lanny Poffo ran out and nailed Rogers with a chair. Inside the ring, Fulton had Simpson covered. Poffo went to the top rope and crashed down with a knee to Fulton's head. Poffo rolled Simpson on top. Poffo then slid the Ref over. The Ref counted 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOO!

After the match, Poffo and the Glamour Boys hugged and gave a bow to the booing fans.

The Saints get the crowd warmed up but Sarge truly brings the heat.

The Rose's and the Wild Ones with the classic "screw each other over" angle.

Miller has been quite the troublemaker in this game. An alliance with Oliver and Jumbo could shake the AWA.

Speaking of new alliances, Luscious Lanny and the Glamour Boys should be a fun trip.

Larry Z tells it like it is. Nelson is a spudhead and Larry called it and he will get that shot at the World title. He's been in this business for I don't know how many glorious years and looks to continue building on his legacy.

I'd be pissed too if I was King Parsons. He is getting railroaded here, first with the belt being taken away and now that Brian has added Black Bart to "The Team".

Kerry versus Terry is money whether or not there is a belt involved. Can't go wrong with it.

Great run hyping up the Battle Royal.  It seems like all the important people are going after the title shot.  I like when I have no idea what is going to happen.  So many great options to challenge Nikita!

I am really into the Bruisers!  They are going to be fun!

I wonder if Iceman should find some back up.  I mean Adias seems to be lining up some help with Black Bart and that hat from True Grit.

Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. We've got a tremendous night of action lined up. You will see the big battle royal, with the winner getting a world title shot against Nikita Koloff at the next Title Night. Brian Adias and Iceman Parsons battle for the held up TV title. The Bruisers face Coast to Coast for a world tag title shot at Title Night. Venomous take on Asylum members Gama Singh and Tiger Jeet Singh. All that....wait a minute, I'm being told there is some kind of altercation going on in the parking lot.

The screen cuts to a scene in the parking lot where Terry Gordy and Kerry Von Erich are trading fists. You can tell these guys have been going at it. Gordy grabs Kerry and hurls him onto a car hood. Kerry rolls over to the front of the car and staggers up. Gordy charges but Kerry back drops him into the car's front windshield. Several prelim wrestlers, officials and security run out to stop this. It takes all these men to keep Gordy and Kerry away from each other.

Commercial Break

Nelson: Fans, I'm sorry to announce that neither Kerry Von Erich or Terry Gordy will be in the battle royal tonight. Both have been escorted off the premises. This has become a very personal issue and one that needs to be resolved soon.

Hector and Chavo are in sync and crisp tonight and win the match with a double snap suplex.

The Guerreros talk about their recent success in CWA and are looking forward to taking on either the Bruisers or Coast to Coast at Title Night in Milwaukee.

Things get chaotic before the bell even rings. The Singh's ambush Venomous on their way to the ring, which escalates into a full on brawl. Tiger Singh brings his sword into the fight and hits Kat, but Cobra grabs a chair and hits Tiger. Gama loads up a towel and nails Cobra from behind. Once again, several officials and security storm out.

Commercial Break

We come back and see Greg Gagne in another physical therapy session.

Gagne: Only a matter of time before I get back to the AWA. Look how great I'm doing. That's why I'm the Great Greg Gagne. Now, it seems El Canek has really become a pest. Well, I put a call out and raised my bounty to 200,000 dollars. Trust me, the extra money is worth it and all you idiots and especially that masked buffoon Canek will soon find out why.

Gagne chuckles and gets back to his physical therapy.

'Diamond' Timothy Flowers vs. Marvin Jones

flowers.jpg.70f3a6574b4bf0623f098581cf2d1c10.jpg

Flowers is aggressive tonight and wins the match with a face planted piledriver.

Nelson: Well, Tim, last week you were unsuccessful in collecting Greg Gagne's bounty.

Flowers: Hold on! I was hit with a chair by that animal.

Nelson: You were the one who brought the chair into the ring.

Flowers: Shut up! Don't try and twist things around. I look around here and see people really love using chairs. Well, if that's how things are here, I'll make sure I connect next time. Believe me!

Gunslingers bring the excitement and win the match with a double running bulldog.

Gunslingers cut a promo on Badd Co. regarding their upcoming National tag team title match at Title Night. They say Baby Doll talks a big game and wonder why Badd Co. always lets her do the talking. They say Baby Doll is writing a check that Badd Co. wont be able to cash!

These teams have had quite the rivalry lately and it shows tonight. The Bruisers spend the first few minutes pinballing Tatum and Victory all over the place. Coast to Coast regroup and show off their skills with some impressive tag team unison mixed in with a lot of rule breaking. Bruisers come back with a vengeance and put their power to work. Strong hits a shoulder breaker on Victory 1..2..Tatum runs in and drops an elbow on Strong. Busick runs in and pounds away on Tatum. This turns into a pier six brawl.

During this brawl, Mike Miller and Rip Oliver hit the ring! They push Coast to Coast out of the way and attack the Bruisers! Coast to Coast roll out of the ring as Miller and Oliver put the boots to the Bruisers. They execute a spike piledriver on Busick, then do the same to Strong. Miller and Oliver leave the Bruisers laid out.

Commercial Break

Nelson: Fans, you won't believe this, but the Referee has disqualified the Bruisers because Miller and Oliver made contact with Coast to Coast first. Therefore, Coast to Coast will face the Guerreros for the world tag titles at Title Night. I have no idea why Mike Miller and Rip Oliver attacked the Bruisers but they costed them a title opportunity. Ok, switching gears, my guests at this time are Lanny Poffo and the Glamour Boys.

poffo.jpg.1931a565d1284949cba56933062bc6d9.jpgsimpson.jpg.8a24c045e095a2272a24a2c3d5fa33bc.jpgsdoll.jpg.9546a5251ff01c4e4a0a2930b7489d4e.jpg

Poffo and the Glamour Boys come out with the full on 80s Glam Rock look.

Nelson: Well, you guys are certainly a sight.

Poffo: Quiet you. What you're looking at are 3 men who have been severely mistreated by the AWA. Those days are over! We have banded together and soon we will have all the gold. I will win tonight's battle royal and soon the world title will be mine. As for the Glamour Boys, after they dispose of those poser wannabe Fantastics, it's on to the world tag team titles. You are looking at the future of the AWA. Don't we look pretty?

Poffo and the Glamour Boys hug, hold up each others arms and bow to the booing fans.

Commercial Break

For the AWA TV Title

If Adias wins, his previous title reign remains intact.

If Parsons wins, Adias will never get another TV title shot.

Iceman Parsons vs. 'The A Lister' Brian Adias

iceman.jpg.94656e23827fc08a5d31075e31b69a07.jpgadias.jpg.5de878275a49dc9249146a1165731d4e.jpg

The bell rings and Adias charges but Parsons back drops him. Adias staggers up as Parsons dropkicks him down. Parsons works over Adias with a flurry of dropkicks, hip tosses, arm drags, shoulder blocks and scoop slams. Parsons gets several near falls but Adias stays alive. Parsons goes for a back drop but Adias kicks him and regroups.

Adias chokes Parsons on the bottom rope, swings off the opposite ropes and hits a body guillotine. Adias picks up Parsons and executes a Russian Leg Sweep 1..2..Parsons gets his shoulder up. Adias hurls Parsons out of the ring. Adias goes to the apron and waits. Parsons staggers up. Adias leaps off with a double axehandle but Parsons flips him over with a gut punch.

Parsons fires up and hurls Adias back in the ring. Parsons goes to the top rope. Adias slowly rises. As Parsons jumps off, Adias "stumbles" into the Ref as Parsons comes down on both of them. Parsons picks up Adias, swings him into the ropes and nails him with the Hip Attack! Parsons covers but the Ref is still out.

BLACK BART runs into the ring and wallops Parsons with his cowbell! Bart takes off to the back.

Adias rolls over on top of Parsons.

The Ref crawls over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The Ref grabs the TV title and sets it on top of Adias. Adias grabs the title, kneels up and hugs it.

Winner of the Match and STILL AWA TV Champ- Brian Adias

Commercial Break

Nelson: Well, I can't believe it, but Brian Adias has erased the TV title win of Iceman Parsons. And he can thank Black Bart for that. This just doesn't sit right with me. Ok, it's now time for the battle royal. Joining me for commentary is the current AWA world champion Nikita Koloff.

The fans cheer as Nikita comes out in jeans and an AWA logo tank top with the world title on his shoulder. He sits down with Nelson at the announcer's table.

Battle Royal- Winner receives an AWA World Title Shot at Title Night on Nov. 17th in Milwaukee.

Participants- Paul Orndorff, El Canek, Sgt. Slaughter, Ken Patera, Crusher Blackwell, Kokina, DJ Peterson, Tom Brandi, Lanny Poffo, Randy Rose, Gary Young, Mr. Olympia, the returning Steve Keirn and the AWA Mid-American Champ Larry Zbyszko

The bell rings and the fists and forearms start flying.

DJ Peterson and Tom Brandi eliminate Lanny Poffo.

Paul Orndorff eliminates Ken Patera

Sgt. Slaughter eliminates Randy Rose

Kokina and Crusher Blackwell are tied up against the ropes and both lumber over. Both men get up and just start hammering away on each other. They fight all the way to the back.

Larry Zbyszko eliminates Tom Brandi

From out of nowhere the MONGOLIAN STOMPER hits the ring and attacks El Canek. Stomper hurls Canek out of the ring and follows. Stomper swings Canek into the ring steps. Stomper just starts stomping away on Canek until several Refs usher him away.

Larry Zbyszko eliminates DJ Peterson.

Olympia clotheslines Young but they both go over the top rope.

Sgt. Slaughter eliminates Steve Keirn.

On the outside, Dream Machine runs out and pounds away on Olympia. Gary Young joins in as they give Olympia a beating. Steve Keirn gets up, runs over and starts hammering away on Young and Dream Machine. Once again, officials have to break up a fight on the outside.

Inside the ring, it's down to Orndorff, Slaughter and Zbyszko. Zbyszko stays in the corner as Orndorff clotheslines Slaughter down. Orndorff hops on the middle turnbuckles and crashes down with a double forearm drop. Zbyszko runs over and drops a knee on Orndorff. Zbyszko grabs Orndorff by his hair and runs with him, but Orndorff reverses things and hurls Zbyszko over the top rope! That gets a big pop from the fans.

Slaughter sneaks up from behind and clips Orndorff behind the knees. Slaughter picks up Orndorff, swings him to the ropes but misses a clothesline. Orndorff swings back and clotheslines Slaughter down. As Orndorff limps around, Zbyszko gets on the apron and starts yelling at Orndorff. Orndorff runs over and takes a swing but Zbyszko jumps down. Zbyszko keeps yelling up at Orndorff. Slaughter staggers over from behind and hoists Orndorff over the top rope! Zbyszko grabs his Mid American title. As Orndorff rises, Zbyszko cracks him over the head with his title.

Slaughter is in the middle of the ring. He raises his arms in victory. After the ring announcer announces his victory, Slaughter snatches the mic. He looks right at Nikita Koloff. Nikita stands up.

Slaughter: Nikita Koloff! I told you I was coming! You listen up and listen good you no good dirty commie! At Title Night, I'm going to do the AWA and this country a tremendous favor. I'm going to defeat you, take that world title and deport you out of this country. You don't belong here and it's my duty to complete this mission. You hear me you puke? You're going to be obsolete!

Nikita takes his tank top off and heads towards the ring but the officials (busy night for them) hold him back.

Von Erich and Gordy can't wait to get it on and cost themselves a potential World title shot.

Los Guerreros are on point and ready for whoever's next.

I think The Asylum were mad they were in a non title match.

Flowers isn't giving up. Though I'm sure Gagne doubling the bounty helped him with that decision.

The Gunslingers don't approve of Baby Doll running her mouth.

The fact that Coast to Coast win by DQ because Miller & Oliver shoved them out of the way to get to their actual targets cracked me up.

Black Bart repays Adidas for his gift and now it's like Iceman's win never happened.

Stomper interrupting the battle royal to try and claim the bounty was a cool moment. Sarge wins it all and gets his clash with Nikita.
