C.S. Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Are Hangman's rainbow colors intended to show LGBTQ+ support in Florida, or am I reading too much into his gear? Quote
southofheavy Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Sting doing balcony dives through tables at 60 and Adam Cole's out here lookin' like a Warhammer mini. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Adam Cole's getup is honestly into Terminator Wolverine Brian Cage territory. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 woooooow the crowd's chanting for adam that's so funny because both wrestlers are named adam! epic lulz Quote
C.S. Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Is it bad that I want Jeff Hardy to show up at the end of this, and I don't love Jeff Hardy. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 You just know the interference is coming to stretch this match another 10-15 minutes. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Excalibur that's not what a Liger Bomb is Quote
C.S. Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Is this match stuck in first gear or am I just exhausted? AEW needs to shorten its PPVs. Quote
strobogo Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Too much good wrestling on a show is a problem, but it's a pretty good problem for a company to have Quote
Timbo Slice Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 They need their versions of Clash of the Champions. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 LOL at JR riffing on a tombstone piledriver not being the finish Quote
strobogo Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 I was thinking how it does seem like there have been an awful lot of tombstones on this show. Reminding me of 80s NJ/Stampede. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 At least three matches had Tombstones, off the top of my head. Britt/Rosa, MJF/Punk, and Cole/Page. If we count how many had apron spots, the list is even longer. Quote
Jmare007 Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Crowd is loving this and I lost interest like 10 minutes ago. I'm so fucking old. Quote
strobogo Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 There was also one in Layla/Statlander, and the triple threat Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 The faces essentially outnumbering the heels by like three to one is weird Quote
C.S. Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 The match got better in the ending stretch starting with ReDRagon and then Dark Order. Quote
funkdoc Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 i thought the crowd would be dead for the main event but they proved me wrong! What's really interesting to me is i think putting the Sting trios right before it actually helped liven up the crowd, which is kind of the opposite of the traditional "cooldown before the main event" theory Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Good PPV! Nothing outstanding, but mostly everything delivered, one match certainly overdelivered like crazy, and one was pretty bleh. An easy watch even when I am not really attached to like 70% of the roster. Fucking Stinger, man. MVP of the night. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Surprised Omega didn’t make an appearance tonight, but happy to see he’s getting a much needed rest. Guessing Double or Nothing is the spot now to build up to All Out. Quote

The cooldown match has always been stupid, especially as WWE always used it to put the women in a nothing match to make sure the fans know not to give a shit about it. You should want the crowd buzzing as much as possible going into the main event, not cooled down needing to get excited again. Quote
Boss Rock Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Pretty terrific show. Gonna be really, really hard to top that. Almost unfair how stacked AEW is. I wasn't a huge fan of the finish to Britt-Rosa even if it was expected. But if they do the title change in San Antonio, which is looking pretty obvious, then all will be forgiven. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 That was an Adam Cole match, that's for sure. Quote

Guessing Double or Nothing is the spot now to build up to All Out. Unless he was lying, and there's no reason to believe he was, Omega isn't ready to come back in the short term so him showing up tonight was never going to happen. He was interviewed a couple of weeks ago by Meltzer and he said he still hadn't done the surgeries he wanted to have when he took this time off (pandemic screwed up the schedules). He's feeling better but he said he isn't coming back before those procedures and feeling 100%. DoN might make more sense but Tony could want him back to pop a rating for Dynamite in the summer. Quote
Boss Rock Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 I saw this pointed out on Twitter and I agree, it's good that this show delivered when you consider last year's is remembered for the dud explosion. Quote
