Nothing yet, but the night is still young. 21 minutes ago, Matt D said: I haven’t seen any WWE since Mania but this six man is a hell of a thing. So much fun! Even if it did have a bit of WWE silliness with barrels, antiques, etc.
hammerva
That was a very Rousey finish. Goes through a table, no sells the hell of out of it. Kind of gets power bombed on the table again doesn't sell it. and his the finisher for the win. A cool way to get the submission but yeah
strobogo
She didn't no sell at all Everyone on this card is going to be sore as fuck tomorrow

The Thread Killer
It’s October! Baseball playoffs, dude. Phillies/Cards and Padres/Mets happening as we speak. Plus the Jays just blew an 8-1 lead to get eliminated. WWE can’t compete with that.
Dav'oh
Wrestling is "light without shadows", literally and figuratively, so having a solid shadow in the middle of the Fightpit is really odd.
Dav'oh
Rebooting the Fiend? No thanks. Once was plenty.
strobogo
Real good show besides Edge/Balor, which was dreadfully boring and Balor in this role is working like he's taking the piss at all times. I did lol at Dom beating the shit out of Rey.
sek69
I was out doing a family event, just finished watching on delay and holy shit did Sheamus book this show because everyone beat the piss out of each other. Thought it was pretty strong for a B show, even Edge/Finn set up Judgement Day as evil bastards and if we get Beth/Rhea that's gonna be great too. She sold that Conchairto like a champ too. I'm not as down on Bray as most folks, like I said before I'll give him to do this thing in a post Vince world just to see if things turn out better this time. The crowd was super into his return too, so that's at least one positive step

strobogo
I can not imagine how stupid that looked in arena with camera crews and stage hands getting into position and moving props around. And it was real fucking dumb on TV to begin with. Way, way over produced. Imagine the whole thing was just the lights out, audio playing, and then a lantern lights up. sek69
All of the above is true yet he still got the Road Warrior pop coming out.
Johnny Sorrow
That was a really fun show. We had a blast . The only match we didn't care about was Drew vs Kross and it wasn't bad. They whipped the shit out of each other with the strap, at least. Bayley vs Bianca fucking ruled.
Coffey
Somewhere, Dusty Rhodes is saying "we're making movies, baby!"
Coffey
Oh, one more thing: I hated Michael Cole, for a long, long time. I couldn't understand why he was employed by WWE for so long & I rolled my eyes when others would say that he's a good commentator. He's been great lately. I don't know how much of it is Vince McMahon leaving, or how much of it was him having fun again when he was with McAfee. But Cole has been on his game lately. KawadaSmile
One thing that always bothered me about Bray is that no one ever benefitted from feuding with him. No one. They all have to engage in his spooky lore bullshit, cinematic matches and what the fuck not, and always end up looking worse and colder afterward. The easter eggs are cool I just never want to see that man wrestle.

Not a week after Vince was gone Cole was giddy on TV saying things are going to be different. Cole without Vince in his ear is great. NintendoLogic
Last night was the first time they mentioned that Matt Riddle beat Jon Jones in high school. The coming months should make clear which of WWE's recent issues are endemic to the company culture and which ones were simply Vince's brain worms. sek69
Speaking of commentary, having the same crew do the whole show and not switching constantly between Raw and Smackdown teams was a great improvement.

I've consistently said that if you're going to have Bray as this type of character, he needs to wrestle 3-4 times a year tops, and have a bunch of henchmen for babyfaces to run through. Also, since despite no evidence I can see, people continue to argue he's a good promo, he can also take some losses as opposed to what he did as The Fiend. strobogo
Everything Bray Wyatt related and adjacent has been some of the worst shit of all time since around the end of 2014.
sek69
The original Wyatt Family stuff was actually pretty good. The six mans with the Shield ruled and it kept Bray's actual wrestling to a minimum.
strobogo
Agreed. But by the end of 2014 and feud with Dean Ambrose, shit was dire and only got worse from there. I guess the cage match with Cena is probably a sign of how bad things were going to go for that character.
El-P
Saw Bray Wyatt's return. Man, that shit was soooo fucking cursed. Good luck people.
