  1. Not to mention, remember that whole stupid worked angle between Booker and Corey Graves which turned out to be totally fake and entirely pointless. Booker is King of Clickbait.
  2. I want to scrub the ball shaving story off my brain with steel wool.
  3. I think that was Daniel Puder, not Rodimer.
  4. I thought the main reason for the new set is because they are planning on running smaller arenas due to their terrible ticket sales. Apparently the old set (especially the lighting rig) was too big to fit into most of the smaller places they are now planning on running. That’s also why they got rid of Raffael Morbi and brought in Kosha Irby. Rumor has it TK finally clued into the fact that blocking off half the arena and averaging 2-3000 fans in a 15-18,000 seat area was making AEW look more like WCW. I hope it works for them. I am all for AEW running smaller “ECW sized” arenas. It really adds to the atmosphere to have a packed house in a smaller arena as opposed to a 3/4 empty house in a big arena. They are back in Toronto soon, and they are running the Coca-Cola Coliseum (7000 seats) rather than the Scotiabank Arena (18,000 seats) which is a very smart call.
  5. Unless you beat up Jungle Boy. Then you gots to go.
  6. You hit it on the head, that’s pretty much the main issue right there. I don’t even hate Kelly as much as some people, but he stunk on Collision and seemed uninterested, unmotivated and ill informed. Tony Khan probably should have just fired him when Schiavone took over, but of course TK doesn’t fire anybody.
  7. That’s hilarious. Billy’s probably cussing up a storm. “Why couldn’t WWE try and sandbag OUR TV deal? Oh yeah…because we couldn’t get one.”
  8. I can’t see how, honestly. Their promos are just SO bad. I can’t figure out if they’re deliberately doing cheesy, unbelievable, goofy, scripted and contrived promos as a way to try and make some sort of meta-statement about Sports Entertainment…or if they just suck. Either way, this shit is horrible.
  9. Serious question…is there anybody who is actually enjoying this poor man’s WWE heel act that the Young Bucks are currently doing?
  10. I would have stripped down until I was wearing nothing but cowboy boots, covered myself in baby oil, done a huge pile of coke with a bunch of hookers, and then started smashing shit with a baseball bat until my heart blew up.
  11. That was actually a decent promo from Rollins for once, if not a little (or a lot) long winded.
  12. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact the 49ers players weren’t aware of the new NFL overtime rules. Like, nobody in the organization thought that maybe that might be an important thing for them to know, going into the biggest game ever.
  13. I am pretty sure I discussed this either in this thread or the other one about TNA being the worst company in wrestling history. Anthem are a Toronto company, and trust me, they suck. They aren’t interested in being number one, and I don’t even think they are interested in presenting a particularly good product. They are interested in “content.” They just want stuff to fill airtime. Anthem own The Fight Network and they used to have contracts to show all sorts of interesting stuff, NOAH, New Japan, ROH, Pancrase and most notably they even used to be the exclusive home of the UFC in Canada at one point. Then they started losing money. So they started cancelling the agreements to show all that different stuff and started showing crappy martial arts movies and infomercials. At some point, they realized that it would be cheaper for them if they just bought TNA from Panda Energy and made The Fight Network the home of TNA. Once they did that, they started flooding the channel with TNA content, because the library is so huge. But they aren’t interested in competing with WWE, AEW, or anybody else. They just need content, cheap content for their crappy channel. They also own AXS in the United States and I’m sure it’s the same there. They buy shitty little TV channels, and they want content to fill the hours. I honestly don’t think they are interested in being a major player in any way, shape or form. That would involve spending money and they aren’t interested in that. At one point The Fight Network used to be good until they bought it. Then they ruined it with their cheapness.
  14. They’re going to find him in the trunk of a car in Stanford Connecticut, with a “WWE Attitude” shirt draped over his face.
  15. Is the big announcement tonight Mercedes Mone? Or will Tony shock us all and announce a tournament for a brand new title? Oh yeah, and for those of you who saw this thread title, and now have the song “Mony Mony” stuck in your heads…you’re welcome.
  16. In the Good News department, Booker T is going to miss the NXT PLE tonight, so the commentary might actually be listenable.
  17. I find it hilarious that “Melo don’t miss” and then he clearly whiffed on that series of punches against Waller.
  18. There’s no doubt that as soon as the creepy old pervert was out of the picture, WWE decided to actually listen to the fans and push Knight. Whereas in the past, the fans almost got punished for cheering the wrong people. I’m glad WWE creative actually listened to the fans this time.
  19. Yeah that was crazy, he just missed her by an inch. That would have crushed her legs for real.
  20. It started slow but business has picked up bah gawd.
  21. Exactly. He’s one of those guys like Danielson, who got over in spite of WWE, not because of them.
  22. That’s the thing. WWE didn’t push him because they wanted to, they basically had no choice because he got so popular. He was the #1 merchandise seller for a good portion of last year. That’s not an accident.
  23. Screw all you guys, LA Knight is great, and he’s crazy popular with the fans too, so cram it. YEAH!
  24. So wait…BOTH feet have to touch the floor?!
