  1. Wow. That somehow feels really beneath him to do.
  2. This does a good job of summing up why I mostly just jump around my collection. Sometimes I might see a match I like from one territory that I know I have on tape from another and now I've suddenly gone from watching Southwest to watching Portland.

Aww come on Finlay w/ Hornswoggle was a great act. Finlay worked him into some pretty cool spots, it was only once they made them babyfaces that things went off the rails.
  4. I have a Colon vs. Abby feud DVD but other than that, all I have is a bunch of random TV episodes from Puerto Rico. I don't even know where the full matches that are on that DVD like the Bullrope match came from, it wasn't aired in full on TV.

    WWE TV 7/6 - 7/12

Bray Wyatt is a limited shelf life gimmick anyway so I don't hold that one against anybody. I think I'm probably the most positive person in the world about Rusev's booking post Cena-feud. He's been putting in great performances and outshining everyone else in the angle with him and in the long run I think he's a better heel without Lana. He is better promo than she is and will get more heat without the We Want Lana chants & fake Russian stuff. I wouldn't even argue that he should have gone over just that he looked like a monster before that feud and came out looking weak. Cena made guys like Khali & Umaga look better in defeat than he did Rusev. As for what they do with Kevin Owens after the Cena feud, that will be the real test. I haven't been as high on the matches as everyone else, I kind of outright disliked the one from MITB, but I do think they've done a great job making Owens feel like a big deal right from the start. As an aside, I think I get a lot more enjoyment out of watching WWE currently than most because I never fantasy book WWE in my head or even try and think about what they are going to do next outside of the truly obvious stuff like "no way Brock doesn't destroy that car" They haven't interested me enough in years to make me push my TEW game, or now the 1983 project, out of my head.
  6. The Sally Ride thing just made me wonder if I could bring in Spaceman Frank Hickey.
  7. Yea I had been meaning to cut that up and upload them all individually after I finished watching the whole thing but then after Parv posted all the reviews I figured I'd just throw it all up in one file. I haven't watched the last 2 matches yet but the feud is AWESOME. The Texas Bullrope match is definitely the best of that type of match that I have ever seen. They do such an awesome job of milking the drama of trying to get to that last corner. And the crowds in Puerto Rico are SUPER hot. Hansen definitely DID have balls of steel to go up to the fans talk to shit to them after the baseball stadium match.
  8. Feel free to subscribe. You never know what I might randomly put on youtube.
  9. This is awesome. Outlaw Joel Deaton being caught trying to pick up a male prostitute is a huge scandal. How is the locker room going to react to him being outed in this way? I hope we continue to hear from ICW area fan Jimmy Crack Corn. Wade Smeltzer is clearly mis-informed about what is happening in Southeastern though. Perhaps he has no wrestler sources in the notoriously tight lipped Alabama area and is only relying on TV reports and doesn't know that Ken Lucas has moved on to work in Texas.
  10. Here is everything that Parv reviewed from the Hansen/Colon feud in one youtube video:
  11. I like to imagine a Dave Meltzer review of Da Crusher vs. Toru Tanaka Road Warriors vs. Billy Jack Haynes & Bill Irwin would be something I would like to see. I hope Hulk Hogan at least got to kick some ass after the 6 man tag so you didn't leave everyone in Denver blue balled for The Hulkster!
  12. Did monster heel Tonga John actually submit?
  13. If anyone cares, CrazyMax is doing this same thing right now and had their fantasy draft a few months ago. It's pretty interesting to take a look at the differences in where some people were drafted here vs. CrazyMax like Eric Embry not being taken until Round 14 over there. They had 7 less promotions and no freelancers so that skewed things a bit but it still has a lot of different results.
  14. Southwest Championship Wrestling @ Wichita Falls, TX - The 4-H Barn Arena July 12th, 1983 Mike Masters beat Juan Reynosa via submission in 5:10 with a full nelson Moose Cholak pinned The Masked Wildfire in 3:43 after a splash Ken Lucas & Charlie Cook beat Ali Bey & The Ninja Warrior in 12:33 after Charlie Cook pinned The Ninja Warrior after running him over with football tackle Fidel Sierra wrestled Bob Sweetan to a 15 minute time limit draw The Fabulous Ones beat Eddy Mansfield & Terry Adonis when Steve Keirn pinned Terry Adonis after a flying forearm in 7:52 Southwest Heavyweight Title: Scott Casey beat Tully Blanchard by DQ after Killer Khan interference in 16:22. Tully Blanchard retained the Southwest Heavyweight Title. The show ended with The Fabulous Ones running out to help Scott Casey and Tully Blanchard & Killer Khan retreating after a short fight with The Fabs doesn't go their way.
  15. Brody was actually selling for Rocky Johnson in the little preview clip I saw somewhere so that might end up being pretty good. Al Madril vs. Buddy Landell is actually the match I want to see most though.
  16. These will apparently be the next 7 matches uploaded: KERRY VON ERICH vs. KAMALA GINO HERNANDEZ vs. NICK KOZAK ROCKY JOHNSON vs. BRUISER BRODY HECTOR GUERRERO vs. JOSE LOTHARIO BUDDY LANDELL vs. AL MADRIL THE FANTASTICS vs. DUTCH MANTELL and BILL DUNDEE DUSTY RHODES / LEROY BROWN vs. GARY HART / KILLER KRUPP
  17. Lawler was too frightened to even think about using his stopwatch. Not a gif but this was too good not to post it somewhere
  18. 1994 - Jerry Lawler talks shit to Green Lantern Fan on the house mic which prompts GLF to get in the ring Jerry Lawler - #1 GWE
  19. Use real examples of what? I'm not sure what you are looking for me to prove? That the title isn't always the most important thing on a wrestling card? It's not. That's been proven like 100 times. Hell, right now Cena vs. Owens for the U.S. title on the last 2 PPVs felt more important than the Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose matches. Go back to dozens of matches in Memphis where Jerry Lawler's match was more important than the Southern Title match if Lawler wasn't the champ. Or in Mid-South when guys like Brad Armstrong, Terry Taylor or The Nightmare were the champ but the big match was whatever Duggan was doing.
  20. It would not have mattered what the title match was, who was in it, and what build it would have had. Put it on after Rock/Hogan and it still would not have felt like the main event over Rock/Hogan. There is nothing you can do to convince me that their current problems have much to do with the title not being important enough. Plenty of wrestling companies did great business without making their main title the end all be all most important thing 100% of the time.
  21. I never said the title is a worthless prop but I don't think it needs to be something that gets worshiped as the most important thing in wrestling regardless of all other factors.Thinking like that is what got us a WrestleMania main event of Chris Jericho vs. HHH where the crowd could not have cared less.

    WWE TV 7/6 - 7/12

I really do not think Cena is wrestling for himself or his bank account at this point. He just happens to be probably the most loyal WWE employee after Vince McMahon & the immediate family. He knows that if he just left right now the company would be hurting and I think his only goal is to try and build up some guys to his level so he DOESN'T have to keep being the top dog.
  23. Forget all that, I want this: Coconut Willie & Cowboy Lang d. Billy the Kid & Little Tokyo Any match that had Cowboy Lang against Little Tokyo that I haven't seen is a match I want to see.
  24. Just saw on twitter that Bruce Tharpe says they have between 1000 & 1500 matches in the Houston library so enough to upload a match a day for 3-4 years.
  25. The most recent free TV title match was Bryan-HHH the night after WM XXX, which never actually took place because of the Shield turn. The last RAW match for a World title was Sandow's failed cash-in on Cena for the WHC. Having looked it up, the last for the WWE title was Punk-Ryback in January 2013. I was saying a few weeks ago that I thought they should do a title change on Raw to spark interest. Reading this only makes me double down on that.
