So I am reading the Observer write ups on this site to kill time at work, and came across this.... It apparently took place on a show called "Beach Brawl" promoted by Joe Pedicino. Please tell me that footage of this exists. It sounds so stupid that I need to see it!! -
Texas All Star Wrestling releases Don Kernodle We will also re-hire Akio Sato and Allen West

Oh come on you guys, WWE doesn't need Cardi B, they have Poppy (whoever the hell that is) and I'm sure the theme for WrestleMania will be from some sweet nu-metal band that obviously everyone has heard of, or maybe a classic like Limp Bizkit. Then again, if they tell Vince that she sings a song called WAP, he'll probably think it's a hilarious ethnic slur against Italians and immediately pay her big bucks to sing American the Beautiful.

Not sure Impact would take him. I think the relationship between he and Deonna didn't end well, and they seem pretty high on her.

Hash' picks up the win in the young lions opener, but I have to assume it was the following six man tag that really got the crowd going. Not super familiar with Nogami, but I know the other 5 and I can guarantee that they put on a show! Nice to see Fleming getting some love. I hated to cut him, but I just didn't have a spot for him in Texas. The hard hitting, technical foreigner is a great spot for him here. I am interested to see what "Wild Rush" brings to the table and how they fit in here. The Takada/Super Tiger match sounds awesome, and makes me want to look into UWF Rules matches. It'll be interesting to see if Tiger continues going after the Takada Army, or if this is the end of that vendetta. Big win for Tiger Mask over the returning Cobra. I'll be interested to see who steps up to challenge for the Junior Title next. Several exciting possibilities. I am still learning who is who here, but the switch of the tag team titles seems like something of an upset even though Maeda/Kido did win the tournament. Big time main event as Fujinami retains against Inoki. Love the touch of Inoki not submitting. The torch may have been passed, and the fans may be happy with the change, but something tells me that Inoki may not be out of the spotlight quite yet. Great Show! As I stated before, a lot of these folks are new to me, but I enjoy learning about the one's I don't know and reading about the one's I do. Looking forward to the next show!

RPG opening the show by flashing pics of unmasked Olympia and then disputing everything Platt has to say is a wonderful way to start the year here in Twin States! "Is K endall Windham the one that looks like a mop turned upside down? " LMFAO Scott Armstrong picks up a nice win in the opener, and I might have to see if anyone from Texas might want to challenge for that Southern Jr. Title! Great segment with Olympia and the Platinum Club! I like Stubbs playing the "If they already knew, who cares" card when it came to the unmasking, as that will just piss Buddy off more. Landel's description of Embry's.....exploits got quite the laugh out of me! As did Olympia's line about the receipt. Really hoping that Embry accepting the challenge isn't the beginning of his end with the Club. The Moondogs are dominating every week, but I think another round with the Nightmares will be quite a war! "Mr. Pro" continues to shine here in Twin States as he picks up a win over Kendall in his debut. Kiniski could definitely be a dark horse in the Contenders Tournament. Terry Taylor makes a quiet debut. I get the feeling he'll do big things here. Downtown Bruno takes me back to Prom Night with a bottle of Boone's Farms! (Hey, we were young and poor!) Bruno and DWB will be a fun combination and will definitely cause some shit here in Twin States. Oh Lord, I was all set to talk about the nice jackets and put over the Rich Cousins as the rightful jackets then Tommy referred to DVE as "that Von Erich that bought the farm over in Japan" and I think we'll have to make sure that doesn't end up on television anywhere in Texas, or else Tommy may not make it out alive. Bob Armstrong blows out The Flame and then brawls with Bad News! This is going to be one hell of a feud, and I am excited for it. Neither of these two is ever going to back down, so it's gonna be a lot of fun!! Well, that's one way to get at Landel....or maybe it's three.... I dunno! 3 Olympia's! Who pinned Landel! Who is challenging for the belt? Steel Cage! This is going to be fun! Great show! Hell of an ending! Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

What kind of worthless, lowlife, piece of shit do you have to be to pretend to be a little boy who just lost his Dad on Twitter. I mean, what do you get from it, other than being a lowlife, piece of shit, fucking troll. God Damn. They should find out who that guys is and tell New Jack that he stole his cocaine.

Tom Jones is officially retired now, so he needs removed from my roster. Also, I am going to go ahead and release Teijo Khan. That should leave me at 44

Dallas Morning News Sports Section 1/1/1986 Professional Wrestling Returns to the Sportatorium The Sportatorium at 1000 South Industrial Blvd in Dallas was once a hotbed of professional wrestling action, hosting weekly events from Fritz Von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling. Even when the promotion went through a change in ownership a few years back, the Sportatorium was still one of the main stops on the promotions touring schedule. However when World Class closed up shop at the end of 1984, usage of the Sportatorium became far less frequent. The United States Wrestling Association out of Tennessee would come to the Metroplex and run the occasional show at the "World's Most Famous Arena" but the days of weekly action, and fans packing the arena appeared to be a thing of the past. However, the new upstart promotion Texas All Star Wrestling which began promoting wrestling in Fort Worth at the Will Rogers Coliseum back in September made an announcement yesterday that beginning Monday, January 11th they would be re-locating and bringing the wrestling action back to the Sportatorium! "Our time at the Will Rogers Coliseum has been wonderful, but when it comes to Texas Wrestling, the first place you think of is the Sportatorium. So when this opportunity presented itself, you'd best believe we jumped at it." said Frank Dusek, the "Commissioner" of Texas All Star Wrestling. Dusek went on to announce that the promotion would run each week on Monday night and record a program that would air each Friday on the KTVT Television network. They further announced that as part of their partnership with the United States Wrestling Association, and the Mississippi based Twin States Wrestling, they would be holding a jointly promoted two day event at Reunion Arena to honor the memory of David Von Erich in February. Further details about that event will be forthcoming on the promotions television program.

Announcing Slater/Dream Machine in a No DQ match is a great way to start the show! Billy Jack Strong is certainly off to a dominant start here. I am very excited for the DVE Memorial Tournament. It's going to one hell of an undertaking, but it should be awesome! I really enjoy this version of Rip Morgan. I hope to see his role get bigger sooner than later. Karachi Vice with another cheap victory! These two are doing anything to keep those belts at this point. Whoever takes the belts off of them are going to be over huge! Dream Machine tries to run his mouth, but Slater ain't having it! That'll sell some tickets! Technicians vs Gagne/Savoldi is something of a styles clash, but could certainly make for a fun feud. You've certainly made Gagne far more entertaining here than he was at any point in his entire career. Great Beauty Shop! Brenda being a total bitch, while George plays along before hosing her down with champagne is a great finish to the year for the segment. Will definitely get George more over, but I don't think he is the guy to take out Simply the Best either! George Wells! That is quite the return for revenge right there!! Morrow is run out of the arena, and Wells gets his bottle on top of it! This is going to be a fun feud!! Ron Fuller gets the win over Lawler!! Then Lawler leaves dejected!! Wow! Not sure what is about to happen here, but I am excited to see it! #1 Paul Jones has taken over managing The Devil's Duo and he is bringing The Spoiler with him! The Bruise Brothers might be in a lot of trouble. Great pairings for Jones. When Iaukea called for a monster, they don't come much better than Kamala!! I love seeing Colon get destroyed, so this segment was right up my alley! Then The Funker gives him a piledriver and pins him! 5 Stars!! It looks like Colon and Strong are going to have quite a war on their hands with Iaukea's Army. Should make for some fun brawls! as for Uncle Terry...well, whoever wins that battle royal is going to see him in Texas. It'll be interesting to see who that next challenger is! Great Stuff Dude!

Texas All Star sends Alexis Smirnoff and Soldat Ustinov to Lutte for Lanny Poffo

Not that it helps this topic, but one of my all time favorite quotes on this board, and I unfortunately don't remember who said it was "Dixie Carter is like Herb Abrams with a wonky eye, more money, and less cocaine." I still laugh about that shit years later.

You weren't alone on that opening segment my friend.

I am watching an early Hayabusa match (he is still a rookie as Eiji Ezaki) where he is taking on Big Titan (who I know ends up being the fake Razor Ramon) and a guy named Lu Chi. Best I can tell Lu Chi is a fat white guy doing a really shitty martial arts gimmick. He is wearing a gi, kickboxing gloves, and throwing piss poor kicks and double axhandles which are getting standing ten counts for some reason. Anyone know who this guy is? Match date is 9/17/91 -
Oh Man, Santa Claus is in the house at Santa Slam! But will Santa Slam someone...... Larry Hamilton is out, and Brickhouse Brown is in... That is a change I can get behind!! Kelly Kiniski gets the best of Iceman King Parsons with a Greco Roman Tight Hook to bring home the Pure Wrestling Challenge! Hooray for Sportsmanship! The New Dynamite Duo get it done and give the Blondes yet another loss as Chick Donovan screws the pooch again... ...apparently for the last time! Regal and Embry have had enough and Donovan gets the piledriver on the floor!! The Fabulous Blondes did have a good run, but you can't be part of the Platinum Club and a loser! Chicky and Scott Armstrong wrestle to a draw, and agree to a rematch. Hopefully we'll see a longer time limit next time around. Nightmares/Moondogs has potential to be a long term blood feud. Poor Nightmares always seem to have some crazy bastards chasing after them! Yeesh! Killer Khan takes out Jerry Brisco and takes him out good. Khan is looking dangerous as hell here in Twin States. Oh Shit! Dundee gets Adrian Street to combat the Violent Gentleman! I popped for the Goatherders or Sheeplovers comment. I can only imagine this was a freaking war. I certainly hope it isn't over, cause these guys can fight for a long while and I won't get tired of it!! Well, I guess Bad News was worth the money after all! Fergie retains over Bullet Bob and without Allen, it seems like he'd have been toast. I don't think Armstrong is going to let this slide though! Brad and Wendell pick up the win, but lose the battle as Tommy and Johnny show just how big of pricks they can be! Great segment! Loving this feud already, and I know it's just going to get nastier. Budrow does it!! Apparently Olympia was naughty this year, as Santa Claus himself takes him out!! Buddy Landel is the Twin States Champion and all is right with the world. Now, some fans yelling that Eric Embry is Santa Claus, well, that's purely speculation! But thanks to Buddy we know for sure the Olympia is Jerry Stubbs! What a great ending to a great night! Good Shit Gene! Santa Slam delivered, and there are going to be a lot of angry folks coming out of it! Should make for some fun Television!!

Texas All Star sends Corporal Kirchner/Mike Sharpe to the NWA for Tim Horner/Ray Candy/Bobby Jaggers Texas All Star sends The Spoiler/Scott Irwin/George Wells to the USWA for Len Denton/Tony Anthony Texas All Star sends Tony Anthony/Kendall Windham/DJ Peterson to Twin States for Angel of Death/Scott Hall

Never trust a Santa Claus at a wrestling show...... I like Jesse Barr being a little unhinged here in the USWA. Lance makes the perfect foil as the picture of a babyface. HA! I knew it.... Santa Mike George gets his revenge and costs Barr the match! Bruise Brothers/Devils Duo has the potential to be a long term, blood feud. I am very cool with that! Karachi Vice are getting a little too comfortable. I don't know if it will be The Nightmares, but I see that overconfidence costing them real soon. You've gotten a lot of guys over in a lot of gimmicks Spaldoni. But I just don't know about Tom Magee.... The Fabs are going to be huge in the USWA. Bodacious? I am oddly excited to know who comprises this team!! Sivi counters Flowers, and Dicky Slater takes care of Myers! I hope this reign for Slater last a good long while. Fuller on the Beauty Shop is the good stuff! Fuller vs Lawler should be a good old fashioned Southern brawl. Looking forward to that one. The Funker having a Christmas beer by the fire is truly heartwarming! I will be rooting for him all the way against Colon next week. Great showing by my boy The Texas Ranger, but the duo of St. Clair and Thornton is simply the best! This reign is outstanding, and when he finally does drop the strap, it is going to be big. Another big show next week and Jerry "The King" Lawler closing out the Christmas special gives all the USWA faithful a lovely Christmas gift. Great Show as Always Dude! You ended so many angles at WrestleStorm, but the new ones are slowly falling into place, and 1986 is looking to be another awesome year in the USWA.

Dylan Bostic used to wrestle for local indies around my area. He billed himself as the "Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling." So he is a real wrestler. Not a particularly good one, but a real wrestler none the less. He was mostly booked because his valet/girlfriend who also wrestled Ray Lynn was hot. -
Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Enjoy whatever you celebrate! Just know that none of it compares to Volk Han.

Texas All Star will pick up Don Kernodle

Olympia/Buddy is going down! That'll be quite the main event at Santa Slam! Not sure about Thatcher/Jarrett trying to screw Buddy by kicking Johnny V and the Diamond Club out of the building though. The Nightmare gets themselves a nice win heading into the shot against Karachi on NYE, but a brutal assault by the Moondogs may have just ended their chances. I think the Moondogs are going to be a lot of fun around here. Looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble they cause. Chicky Starr has arrived! With the will to win and the mustache, the Southern Jr. Champion had better be ready!! Great segment with Armstrong/Cooley and the video with the Rich Cousins. Brings up the past history to set up the feud, gives motivation for everybody, and makes an already volotile situation just a little hotter. Well done. Hamilton picks himself up a nice win against Donovan, but the real story here is the aftermath. Dissension in the Diamond Club, and especially in the Fabulous Blondes! Be interested to see if this is actually going somewhere, or just a ploy to mess with the Dynamite Duo. Oh Shit, the New Violent Gentleman have taken out Garvin! Dundee and a mystery partner vs the VG at Santa Slam? Oh, this could get real interesting!! Khan is looking like a monster here in Twin States. The match vs Brisco should be must see, and I can't wait to see who was behind this bounty! The Fergie/Slick/Bad News pairing is amazing. BJ Patterson got a laugh out of me, as did Bad News just chugging out of the bottle. Their are so many different ways this grouping can go, I can't wait to see where it ends up. Kelly Kiniski has arrived in Twin States and he is already throwing out open challenges. Those always end up interesting! Donovan costs Embry the belt! But Embry is the one who stops Regal and Johnny V from being pissed off? Where you going with this Gene?!! Good Show! and I am stoked for Santa Slam! That card is stacked, and should be freaking awesome!!

SULLLLIIVVVAANNNNNN!!!! Bring Me TNT!! Nice to see someone finally using Curtis in the game! Nice to see the original Technicians back together and picking people apart! I always dug this team, and with two sets of tag straps, hoping to see them picks up some gold. I am excited for Rip Morgan being unleashed. Always enjoyed Rip and I think he can make a big splash here. Looking forward to seeing who he beats up next. Bassarab and Doring make yet another awesome entry into the already stacked tag team division here in USWA. Karachi Vice had better be on the look out. Grapplers still calling out The Road Warriors! They apparently have a death wish. Gagne and Savoldi! Another team enters the fray! The Elite may be dead, but Gagne wasted no time rebounding. Uh Oh. An open challenge for the TV Title. Those usually end up spelling bad news for the champion. I'd hate to see the exceptional reign of St. Clair end that way, but it could certainly lead to some excitement. Wonder who will accept! Bruise Brothers vs Devil's Duo for the Central States belts next week! Nice!! That'll be one heck of a fight!! Myers and Flowers best be careful, Dicky Slater isn't the kind of guy you want coming after you. Colon gets the win, but after that Curtis comes back and lets us know that the Monster is coming!! Now I am excited! Who could King Curtis possibly be bringing in to destroy Colon? (I'm not even going to go look at your roster to find out) Good Stuff as always Spaldoni! Loving the build to the two Eve shows, and then 1986 is going to be a huge year for all of the USWA!!!
