  1. Texas All Star drops Allen West and Akio Sato and picks up Ron Slinker
  2. Well, at least the Women's division has a future. Sasha and Carmella had a good match despite Carmella trying to kill herself on a dive, and then the Women's Rumble was really good from start to finish with likeable surprises, and a final 3 that I bought all of as winners. The men.... Well, I think we can sum that up pretty easily.....
  3. Twin States continues to grow, and morphs into a new Continental! I like it! Gives the place a much bigger feel! Chicky Starr pulling out the top rope sunset flip! Big win for the Chickster heading into his Junior Title match! Blackjack and Khan should be quite the war. Like Kendall, I am very interested to find out who is behind the bounty. The Sheepwhackers take out the Battens and they are in the DVE. This tournament is going to be something else!! Gulf Coast Clash is a STACKED card! Looking forward to that one. Terry Taylor picks up a victory, kisses Bob Armstrongs ass, and then has the audacity to think that he is going to get past Mr. Money! Keep dreaming Rooster! The younger Armstrongs qualify for the DVE over Fire and Flame, and that's another exciting young team to be part of the proceedings. Terry God Damn Funk indeed! Great Promo by The Funker!! Mr. Pro appears to have his hands full with the Rocking and Rolling Express! Even with all of the personalities involved, when Brody says he will keep order in that cage, I tend to believe him!! Bob Armstrong wins the main event and goes on to challenge Funk, but I feel like the real story is going to be whether Bad News allows Fergie and Slick to continue living after that screw up! Looking forward to Gulf Coast Clash!!!

and we immediately start the show by giving the belts back to Karachi Vice! Man, when these guys finally, legit drop the belts, you are going to MAKE a babyface tag team!! George Wells gets a quick victory and will get Champagne one on one next week. He may think he wants that, but I'm not sure he does! Cool idea to pick challengers for the TV Title, gives everyone a chance but makes them earn it. The reign of St. Clair has been nothing short of phenomenal, but maybe this will lead to him finally meeting a challenger with the right talent to take the title. I'm going to go ahead and assume that Tugboat isn't that guy! The war between Iaukea's Army and the Colon group is going to need to end in a cage or some kind of crazy gimmick. But I don't think it's quite over yet! Wonderful interview by The Funker! But I'm not sure I could buy Jesse Barr as a Funk! Super Destroyer picks up a nice win, and the battle of the masks is coming, and that should be a fun feud. Looking forward to it. Hell Yeah! The Rose Cousins take out the RPMs!!! That automatically shoots them up my favorites list! Loving the after match promo, and I look forward to them moving up the ranks here. Hmmm? I wonder how Brenda is going to feel after she gets the next tape from Texas? My boys the Bruise Brothers are looking good and feeling confident. If I were them I wouldn't be too worried about Gagne and Savoldi either! The Fabs have to be considered one of the favorites in the tournament. Though Fuller/Golden will probably have something to say about that. I am getting excited to find out who the "Real King" is! Dusty pins Funk!! Oh Man, The Dream has momentum heading into the title match now! Barr and George will have to finish their rivalry another day, but oh my Dusty and Terry..... Things are likely to get real nasty, real soon!! Good Stuff Dude! Things are building to the DVEMTT nicely, and all your other angles are shaping up quite nicely!
  5. (Taped on Monday January 25th, 1986 and airing Friday Night January 29th) From the world famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. This is.... Richard Myhill's "The Hit" plays as we are shown highlights of all the top talent and hard hitting action from.... We cut to ringside where Marc Lowrance is standing by with a microphone. Marc Lowrance: Hello Everyone! Welcome to the World Famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas and Welcome to Championship Sports. We are here tonight on KTVT for another exciting edition of Texas All Star Wrestling! We have a huge night of action here for you this evening as we continue to head toward the big David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Tonight we will see two teams that will be part of that tournament, and two teams that are long time rivals will lock it up again as The Highwaymen and The Glamour Boys meet once more. In the main event tonight, the challenge has been accepted. Brian Adias will defend the Texas Television Title against "General" Skandor Akbar's Oriental assassin, Kendo Nagasaki. Akbar laid down the challenge last week on the Fiesta Garden, and Adias who is a fighting champion was quick to accept. Speaking of the Fiesta Garden, I understand that none other than Texas All Star Commissioner, Frank Dusek will be the guest of Al Madril this evening. That should be interesting to say the least. Also in action tonight will be the team of "Killer" Tim Brooks and "Mean" Mike Miller, and we will see The Wild Bunch in six man tag team action. With those men in the building together, anything can happen! Up first tonight we have a newcomer here to Texas All Star Wrestling, and.... Oh No.... As Marc Lowrance was speaking, a huge round of boo's went up in the Sportatorium. We see Lowrance look off to his right as he is talking, and as he says the words "Oh No" we actually see him roll his eyes on camera. The camera pans over and taking his final steps down the aisle is Percival Pringle the Third. He has a huge grin on his face as he steps to where Marc Lowrance is standing. Percival Pringle III: Oh Yes Marc Lowrance, it's true, I have returned to Texas, and you get the pleasure of being the first person to welcome me back. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman.... Percy Pringle. Percival Pringle III: Marc Lowrance! It's Percival Pringle the Third, and you know it! Marc Lowrance: My apologies. Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome back to Texas, Percival Pringle the Third. Percival Pringle III: Well Thank You Marc Lowrance! I'd say it's a pleasure to be back here in Texas, but we both know I'd be lying. Marc Lowrance: Then why are you here? Percival Pringle III: What? You didn't miss me? Marc Lowrance: Mr. Pringle, we have to get the show started, so please... Percival Pringle III: Fine you stick in the mud! I am here, because my newest client is your newest wrestler, and the man who is set to wrestle in your opening contest here this evening! He is the man who is going to lay waste to the competition here in Texas No Stars Wrestling, and soon enough he'll hold either the Texas Heavyweight or Texas Television Title, or maybe both. So I present to you, "Crippler" Rip Oliver! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -"Crippler" Rip Oliver w/Percival Pringle III vs Mike Reed- Rip Oliver was laser precision in his Texas All Star debut, going right after the arm and shoulder of Mike Reed. Oliver grabbed a hammerlock out of the collar and elbow, then drilled his elbow into the shoulder of Reed. An arm wringer followed, and then he took Reed down and worked the arm with several painful maneuvers. At one point Oliver had Reed face down on the mat and just simply stomped the shoulder several times, and then dropped an elbow on it. Finally after several minutes of torture, Oliver scooped Reed up and drilled him with a Shoulder Breaker. The cover followed for the easy One, Two, Three. Winner: "Crippler" Rip Oliver After the match Pringle and Oliver make their way over to where Marc Lowrance is standing. Percival Pringle III: Aren't you going to interview the winner Marc Lowrance? Marc Lowrance: Well, I.... Percival Pringle III: He didn't want to talk to you anyway! Crippler, you go on back and get a shower, then we'll head out for champagne and a steak dinner. Oliver nods at Pringle, gives Lowrance a dirty look and then heads to the back. Pringle meanwhile continues to stare at Marc Lowrance with a grin on his face. Marc Lowrance: Was there something else I could help you with? Percival Pringle III: Well, I thought you'd never ask! There sure is Marc! I hear tell that there is a tag team tournament coming up with a quite sizeable cash prize on the line. Is that correct? Marc Lowrance: Yes, the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament is coming up on February Twelfth, Thirteenth, and Fourteenth. Percival Pringle III: and how much is the cash prize? Marc Lowrance: The winning team will be taking home One Hundred Thousand Dollars and the David Von Erich Memorial Trophy. Percival Pringle III: Did you say One Hundred Thousand Dollars? Marc Lowrance: Yes, and the David Von Erich Mem.. Percival Pringle III: Yeah, Yeah, Trophy Schmophy! That draws a huge round of boo's from the Sportatorium crowd Percival Pringle III: Oh Shut Up! Now, since Percival Pringle didn't come back to Texas just to manage a single man, allow me to introduce to you the rest of The Pringle Dynasty! Please welcome the men who are going to win me One Hundred Thousand Dollars, "Dirty" Dutch Mantell and "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers"...The Kansas Jayhawks! Mantell and Jaggers come walking down the aisle dressed in long coats and cowboy hats. Mantell is carrying a whip, and Jaggers has a noose. They come to stand next to Pringle and both of them are wearing sneers on their faces. Dutch Mantell: So this is it? This is the Sportatorium, and this is Texas All Star Wrestling? We aren't impressed. You see, we come from Kansas, the home of real life, tough cowboys. Not like these sissies I see around here that go out and buy fancy boots and a cowboy hat and all of a sudden think they are Hoss Cartwright or something. Bobby Jaggers: What Dutch is saying is that if any of these so called Texas tough guys want a fight, they can come find the Kansas Jayhawks and we'll show them a fight. Dutch Mantell: Now, Mr. Pringle... it'll be an honor for us to win that Danny Von Erich tournament and that money for you. We just want you to know what a relief it is to us that we have quite possibly the only honest man in the state of Texas managing our business affairs. Percival Pringle III: Ohh Boys. The honor is all mine. It's a relief to me to be managing the soon to be winners of the tournament and the money and the only real cowboys in the state of Texas! Ha Ha Ha! Pringle and the Jayhawks head up the aisle surrounded by security as a chorus of boo's rings out across the Sportatorium. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling, right here on KTVT. Before the break we heard way too much from the returning Percy Pringle. But he has assembled quite the roster of wrestlers under his employ. "Crippler" Rip Oliver made short work of his opponent and looks to be a threat to anyone he steps into the ring with. Then the team of Dutch Mantell and Bobby Jaggers, collectively the Kansas Jayhawks made an appearance and have apparently entered the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. I am no fan of Pringle, but again, that is an impressive collection of talent. Okay, let's head down to the ring for six man tag team action with The Wild Bunch! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -The Wild Bunch (Black Bart/"Wild" Bill Irwin/"Outlaw" Ron Bass) vs The Spider/Snake Brown/Dave Kent- Bart, Bass, and Irwin were out to have some fun tonight and they each took their turn beating up on one of the opponents. Bass started the match with Kent and pretty much just abused the youngster, battering him with big right hands and hard knees to the guts. Bass allowed Kent to tag out to Brown, and then tagged in Irwin. "Wild" Bill was all over Snake, hitting him with a big swinging neckbreaker and nearly knocking his head off with the Pump Kick. Irwin rolled Brown into the corner, and The Spider reluctantly tagged himself in. Irwin tagged out to Black Bart, and Bart came in like a wild man, battering The Spider with a barrage of punches. Bart carried the masked man around the ring and slammed him down, before scaling the ropes and coming off with the Texas Trash Compactor. Bart covered and that was all she wrote! Winners: The Wild Bunch (Black Bart/"Wild" Bill Irwin/"Outlaw" Ron Bass) Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am here with your winners, The Wild Bunch! "Wild" Bill Irwin: Marc Lowrance! We run Adrian Adonis outta Texas already. One match, one match with the three of us, and he took off. Ron Bass: So Tim Brooks, Mike Miller. If you two old boys still want a piece of The Wild Bunch, you'd better find yourselves someone a little meaner, and a little tougher, cause it looks like your biker buddies ain't worth a damn! Black Bart: BROOKS! MILLER! ADONIS MIGHTA RUN OFF! BUT THAT DON'T MEAN WE'RE DONE WITH YOU! FRANK DUSEK! THE WILD BUNCH WANTS IN THAT TOURNAMENT!! Marc Lowrance: Which two of you would compete in the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament if you were granted a spot? Black Bart: IT DON'T MATTER! AIN'T NONE OF THEM FELLA'S CAN BEAT US! ANY TWO OF US'D WIN THE WHOLE DADGUM THING!! Ron Bass: You heard him! Marc Lowrance: There you have it folks, The Wild Bunch is looking to lay claim to Texas All Star's tenth and final spot in the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament! We'll be right back!! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling on KTVT. Up next we have two teams that will be part of the big David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament coming up in just a few weeks. They are also two teams who have a long history with each other, so this should be a fight Ladies and Gentleman. Let's head down to the ring. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Highwaymen (Bobby Duncum/Phil Hickerson) vs The Glamour Boys (Steve Doll/Steve Simpson)- This one didn't take long at all to break down into a fight as The Highwaymen jumped Doll and Simpson during the ring introductions and went to work on them. The referee was trying to push Hickerson out of the ring, when The Glamour Boys shook it off and nailed Duncum with a big double dropkick that sent him out of the ring. Doll and Simpson then basically leapt over the referee and started pummeling Hickerson with four fists of fury until Doll finally was pushed out of the ring by the referee. Simpson was still all over Hickerson blasting him with lefts and rights, and kicks to the midsection. He then grabbed a headlock and snapped him over, grinding it in and occasionally popping him with a closed fist when the ref wasn't looking. It didn't take long for a recovered Duncum to hit the ring and stomp Simpson in the head, which allowed Hickerson to escape the hold and make the tag. Duncum came in and started pounding on Simpson with big hammer shots across the back, and a hard Irish whip into the turnbuckles that looked like it shifted the ring. Duncum followed that up with a big back suplex, and dropped an elbow on Simpson. This time Doll had seen enough, and hit the ring with a big dropkick to the back of Duncum that sent him out of the ring again! Doll then catapulted himself over the top rope onto Duncum on the floor! Hickerson dropped off the apron onto the floor, and yanked Doll up by the hair and started blasting away with punches. Then Duncum was back to his feet and both Highwaymen had a hold of Doll, but then Steve Simpson came sailing off the top rope all the way to the floor! He crashed into the pile and all four men were down on the concrete!! It took several moments for them to recover from that spectacular leap by Simpson, but when they did all four were back slugging it out on the floor, and none of them seemed to notice when the bell rang signalling the Double Count Out. They just continued to pound away on each other until a gaggle of security and enhancement talent flooded ringside and pulled them apart. This Match is a Double Count Out! Marc Lowrance: As we mentioned earlier, the rivalry between The Glamour Boys and The Highwaymen goes back a long way and neither team has really ever been able to gain a clear cut advantage. Tonight that animosity boiled over into an all out brawl that saw both teams counted out of the ring. Both of these teams are entered into the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. If they happen to meet during the tournament, a result such as this would eliminate both. Something for both teams to think about. Folks, we'll be right back! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -"Killer" Tim Brooks/"Mean" Mike Miller vs Mike Bond/Shane Tyler- Brooks and Miller were apparently feeling extra ornery tonight as they were obviously having some fun with young Shane Tyler. Miller started off grinding on him with a headlock, then took to choking him with his wrist tape when the referee wasn't looking. Then he stomped him down in the corner and choked him with his boot for several repeated four counts. He then tagged in Brooks who choked the young man on the ropes, raked his eyes, threw him over the top rope to the floor, and then brought him back in for a piledriver. That would have been in it, but Brooks scaled the ropes and delivered a Diving Knee Drop into the young mans throat and then covered him for the victory. Winners: "Killer" Tim Brooks/"Mean" Mike Miller Marc Lowrance: I am here with your winners Mike Miller and Tim Brooks. "Killer" Brooks: I heard Fat Bart and them other two out here earlier bragging about how they run Adrian Adonis out of Texas. Well let me tell you right now, if you want to see the men who ran Adrian Adonis out of Texas, you're looking at 'em! He proved he couldn't cut it as part of the Killers Gang, so we sent him on up the road. Mike Miller gives Brooks the side eye when he says "Killers Gang" but then nods to the rest of the statement. Mike Miller: That's right Killer! "Mean" Mike and "Killer" Brooks were doing just fine before Adonis, and we are doing just fine without him. The two of us are just as bad as all three of those cowboys put together. That's not just talk either, we plan to prove it when we win that David Von Erich Tag Team Tournament. Marc Lowrance: Well, actually The Wild Bunch claimed the tenth and final spot in the tournament earlier this evening. "Killer" Brooks: WHAT!!! Brooks grabs hold of Marc Lowrance and starts screaming, but Mike Miller quickly pushes him away. The microphone that Lowrance dropped when Brooks grabbed him picks up Miller saying "We'll take care of it." -Commercial Break- As we return from break we are greeted with the smiling face of Al Madril. He is sitting on the small stage that is the home of the Fiesta Garden. On either side of the stage are the two fake cactus each with a sombrero on top of it, and hanging above each of them in a pinata. Behind where Al is sitting in his custom producer chair, is a huge banner with the words Fiesta Garden in sparkling silver letters with streamers and balloons tied to it. Al Madril: Hey Everybody! Welcome back to the number one, highest rated show in all of professional wrestling, especially amongst the USWA and it's affiliates, The Fiesta Garden! I am your host Al Madril, and tonight we have a very special guest as I will be joined by none other than the Commissioner of Texas All Star Wrestling, Frank Dusek! But before we get to that, I have been asked to issue a public apology for last week when I referred to Marc Lowrance as a stupid gringo. The truth of the matter is that for a stupid gringo, Marc Lowrance does a great job hosting this show. For a stupid gringo he always conducts himself with class, integrity, and in a manner that benefits both Texas All Star Wrestling and the industry of professional wrestling as a whole. So for calling you a stupid gringo last week Marc Lowrance, I am truly sorry. I assure you that I will not make the mistake of calling you a stupid gringo again. Okay? Okay! Ladies and Gentleman, Frank Dusek!! Frank Dusek comes walking toward the set of the Fiesta Garden and he looks beyond perturbed. He stands staring at Madril who continues to have a huge smile on his face. Al Madril: Frank, you're a guest, please have a seat. Frank Dusek: Madril, I am not in the mood for any crap or any funny business. I heard that so call apology and I am THIS close to shutting you down. So you have one chance here. Madril looks at Dusek like he has no idea what he is talking about, and then motions for him to sit down again. Dusek shakes his head and takes a seat. Al Madril: So Frank, can I call you Frank? Frank Dusek: Sure. Al Madril: Great! So Frank, since I am giving out apologies tonight, I wanted to apologize to you for insinuating several weeks ago that you were perhaps stealing from this promotion. That was an ugly rumor, started by Jerry Jarrett may I add, and it was wrong of me to perpetuate it any further. So, man to man, I apologize. Dusek just stares daggers at Madril. Madril waits for him to accept the apology with a smile on his face. Dusek continues to stare, and after several seconds Madril nods and continues. Al Madril: Okay. So Frank, we are just a few weeks away from this David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. I understand that this involves teams from here in Texas All Star, from the main branch of the USWA, and from the Twin States Wrestling promotion. Is that correct? Frank Dusek: Yes it is. Al Madril: and there are going to be Thirty Two tag teams entered in this tournament? Frank Dusek: Yes there are. Al Madril: Wow! That is a ton of tag teams! Now I know that the people here have seen which teams from Texas All Star will be competing, but can you tell us about some of the teams that will be coming from Twin States and the USWA? Dusek stares at Madril for a moment, seemingly confused that this is turning into an actual interview. Frank Dusek: Sure. We know that the USWA will be sending the Central States Tag Team Champions, Porkchop Cash and The Snowman, The Bruise Brothers. Al Madril: A very exciting team to be sure. Frank Dusek: They will also be sending Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, The Fabulous Ones. Al Madril: A huge name in tag team wrestling. Frank Dusek: Even though he is technically banned from Texas All Star, Cocoa Samoa will return for the tournament along with his partner in South Pacific Connection, Sivi Afi. Al Madril: The fans sure seem excited to hear that one. How about the Twin States? Who do they have? Frank Dusek: Well, the world famous Armstrong family will be represented as "Bullet" Bob Armstrong teams up with Terry Taylor, and Brad Armstrong teams up with "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley. Al Madril: Both of those teams should prove to be quite tough to beat. Frank Dusek: They'll also be sending their tag team champions, Tommy and Johnny Rich.... Al Madril: TOMMY AND JOHNNY!! I LOVE THOSE GUYS!! Frank Dusek: You would.... Madril lowers his microphone and gives Dusek a dirty look. Dusek just glares at him realizing the "interview" is probably over. Al Madril: What does that mean? Frank Dusek: Well, they've said some rotten things about Texas and the Von Erich's. Al Madril: Sometimes, the truth hurts... Frank Dusek: All right, we are done here.... Dusek starts to get up, but Madril throws up his hands.... Al Madril: No, no, no, no, no, no, no..... difference of opinion, difference of opinion. This was going well. Let's change the subject. Frank Dusek: Fine.... Al Madril: So, this tournament is going to have five shows over three days. Is that correct? Frank Dusek: Yes. Al Madril: All of them will be broadcast on the USA Network? Frank Dusek: Yes. Al Madril: That's a really big deal. Frank Dusek: It definitely is. KTVT will always be our home here in the Metroplex, but this will give Texas All Star Wrestling exposure across the United States. Al Madril: and I understand the USWA will have their television show at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, then Texas All Star and Twin States will be here at the Sportatorium, and then the last two shows will be at the Reunion Arena. Is that correct? Frank Dusek: Yes it is. USWA and Texas All Star on Friday Night. Twin States on Saturday Morning. Then the first Reunion show on Saturday night, and then the tournament finals and the defense of the USWA World Heavyweight Title on Sunday afternoon. Al Madril: That is very impressive. Frank Dusek: It is. Al Madril: Now, I heard a rumor that originally USWA was supposed to have their show here at the Sportatorium as well. But they wanted to have Brenda Britton and the Beauty Shop on the show, so they had to move it to the Will Rogers Coliseum because the City Inspector said he'd shut the Sportatorium down if he saw any more rats in the building. Is that true?!?! Dusek is staring at Madril like he wants to murder him and Al has a huge grin on his face. Dusek gets up out of his chair and looks like he is about to unleash a tirade on Madril, when "Killer" Brooks and "Mean" Mike Miller arrive at the Fiesta Garden stage. An angry Frank Dusek turns to them... Frank Dusek: What do you two want? Brooks reaches up and snatches the microphone out of his hands and looks even angrier than he did earlier. "Killer" Brooks: WHAT WE WANT! What we want is to know why Fat Bart and his boys get to be in this damn tournament, and we don't! What we want..... Brooks doesn't get to finish his sentence as he and Miller are throwing fists as Black Bart, "Wild" Bill Irwin, and Ron Bass arrive on the scene. It quickly escalates into a wild brawl and both Frank Dusek and Al Madril are jumping out of the way as they brawl onto the Fiesta Garden stage. The chairs are knocked over, one of the cactus's gets smashed onto the head of Brooks, and before long the flock of security and undercard guys is on the scene trying to hold the five rampaging wrestlers apart. In the chaos Frank Dusek finds a microphone on the floor and begins to yell! Frank Dusek: THAT'S IT!! WE'RE DONE!! THIS ENDS NEXT WEEK!!! BROOKS...MILLER......THE TWO OF YOU.......AND TWO MEMBERS OF THE WILD BUNCH.... I DON'T CARE WHICH TWO!!! ......The Winners....The Winners are in the tournament! ....The Losers..... The Losers are no longer allowed to team together here in Texas All Star Wrestling!!! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ARENA!!! Brooks, Miller, and The Wild Bunch are herded out by security, as Frank Dusek stomps over and hands the microphone back to Marc Lowrance. The last scene before we head to commercial break is of Al Madril standing in the ruins of his Fiesta Garden set. He looks briefly sad, then shrugs his shoulders and cracks a grin before walking away. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling on KTVT. Just before the break we saw a very tense Fiesta Garden end in a wild brawl as Tim Brooks and Mike Miller got into it yet again with Black Bart, Bill Irwin, and Ron Bass. Well Frank Dusek has apparently seen enough as next week he has made match that will see Killer Brooks and "Mean" Mike Miller take on any two of The Wild Bunch. The winners will enter the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament, and the losers will no longer be allowed to team together here in Texas All Star Wrestling. High stake for certain. But that is next week. Right now it is time to get to our main event for this week, which will see Brian Adias defend the Texas Television Title against Kendo Nagasaki! Let's head to the ring! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -Kendo Nagasaki w/Skandor Akbar vs Brian Adias- Texas Television Title Things looked bad right off the bat for Adias as Nagasaki caught him with a thrust to the throat as he was going for the collar and elbow. Nagasaki then pounded away with karate style chops to the neck and shoulders, before locking in a nerve hold to the trapezius muscles. Adias eventually got to the ropes, but his left arm was hanging limply at his side early in the contest. Nagasaki went back to work hitting Adias with a thrust kick to the gut, and then butterflied his arms, holding the position and wrenching it for some time, before taking him over in a suplex. Nagasaki covered but only got two. Kendo picked Adias back up and shot him into the ropes, he went for a double chop, but Adias ducked under it and caught him with a crossbody on the rebound! Nagasaki was quick to kick out, but it allowed Adias to roll to his feet and nail Kendo with a dropkick! Nagasaki quickly rolled to the floor, and while the ref was counting him it allowed Adias a bit of time to try and massage some feeling back into his arm. When Nagasaki came back in Adias quickly snatched a headlock, but Kendo shot him into the ropes again. Nagasaki leapfrogged over Adias and went for another thrust kick, but Adias forward rolled under it, and when Kendo came back around, Adias nailed him with another high dropkick! Adias followed it with a big elbowdrop and a cover that got two. The match continued back and forth for several minutes with Adias using speed and quickness to confound his opponent, and Nagasaki using strikes and submissions to the head, neck, and shoulders every opportunity he got. The end came when it looked as if Nagasaki had things in the bag. He had been working on Adias for a couple of minutes and after sending him into the ropes, caught him with a hard kick to the gut. He put Adias into position for his Jumping Piledriver, but just as he was hooking his arms around his waist, Adias countered it with a big backdrop! Nagasaki crashed hard to the mat, but on his way over his foot clipped the referee. Adias got slowly back to his feet, and was heading toward where Nagasaki was just starting to stir, when Skandor Akbar got up onto the ring apron and took a swing at Adias. Akbar missed, but caught the attention of Adias who grabbed the "General" by the collar and was drawing back to punch him when Nagasaki grabbed Adias by the shoulder. Kendo spun Adias around with one hand, and his other hand went to his throat as he spewed forth the Green Mist!! But Adias Ducked!! The mist caught Akbar full in the face and he fell from the ring apron clutching his face!! Adias quickly pivoted around and hooked Nagasaki in his patented Russian Leg Sweep, executed the maneuver, and floated over into the cover before the stunned Nagasaki knew what hit him! The recovering referee counted One, Two, Three!! Winner, and STILL Texas Televsion Champion: Brian Adias! Marc Lowrance: THE GREEN MIST... HITS AKBAR.....RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP..... IT'S ALL OVER!!! Brian Adias retains the Texas Television Title in an exciting match up! Kendo Nagasaki looks stunned, Skandor Akbar is furiously wiping his eyes, and Brian Adias is holding the championship high for all to see! Ladies and Gentleman, that's all for Texas All Star Wrestling this week. We thank you so much for joining us, be sure to tune in next time, right here on KTVT. Until then, I'm Marc Lowrance, Good Night Everyone.
  6. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!) and Yeah, sometimes I forget my Hulk Hogan Bullshit Timeline. Was this before or after he almost played bass for Metallica?
  7. Skeptical about what wrestlers say? I'm skeptical about you being skeptical! Are you trying to insinuate that maybe Hulk Hogan was stretching the truth when he claims that Andre the Giant weighed close to 700 pounds when he body slammed him at WrestleMania 3 and that Hulk tore nearly every muscle in his back picking him up, and that Andre died just a few months later? Because I find it hard to believe that the bastion of Truth, Justice, and the American Way in the 1980's would do such a thing, Brother!
  8. I had a good time listening to -1, him "playing a character" while still being a little boy watching wrestling with all the Oohs, Aahs, and Woahs brought a smile to my face and made me laugh more than once.
  9. Right before #30 is set to enter, someone goes on a big elimination spree. When there are only two people left in the ring, one of them is made to look like a total jackass, by hitting a cactus clothesline and eliminating himself as well as the opponent who just eliminated everyone. The ring sits empty..... Countdown clock to #30...… Lights Go Out.....Lights Come On.... The Fiend is in the ring.....The Fiend wins without ever touching anyone and now main events WrestleMania. Spooky lights, spooky laughter, Michael Cole is frightened voice, end of show.
  10. I am fairly certain that King has been signed. I would also agree that they should sign Alex Gracia yesterday.
  11. Tremendous opening as RPG and Landel may have actually convinced Platt that he is an alcoholic. Landel explaining video trickery is brilliant! Chicky Starr picks up a nice win in the opener and will hope to keep that momentum going when he gets his rematch for the Southern Junior Title at Gulf Coast Clash. Davey Rich makes his debut and he has a.... heartfelt apology from his cousins? This should be good..... and as I expected it was. If the Rich Cousins leave Texas alive, it is going to be a miracle. I look forward to George Barnes giving J-e-Double-F a proper thrashing at the earliest possible moment. In the meantime, Lord Boyd managing The Sheepherders should spell a ton of trouble for the tag team division here in Twin States. Moondogs/Nightmares in a first blood match? That should be a freaking war! Mr. Pro lost because his opponent brawled and didn't wrestle! Awesome excuse! Four more teams announced for the DVE, and some big ones. Street/Dundee and Taylor/Armstrong are certainly not natural teams, but big name pairings none the less. Holy Shit! That cage match at Gulf Coast Clash is fucking huge! Someone is leaving town, the title is on the line, the masks are on the line, and someone's hair is on the line.. with Brody as the referee!! WOW! It truly doesn't get much bigger than that! Platinum Club is pissed off! "He ain't been to referee school!" cracked me up. Bob Armstrong outsmarts Ayala and gets the quick and easy win!! Terry Taylor almost gets the best of Bad News, but with a little help from the Slickster and his cane, Bad News advances and we'll see Bullet and Bad News go one on one next week to determine who fights The Funker! Either way that goes, that should be something to see! Great stuff as always man!!
  12. Blehschmidt

    USWA

Funk/Barr vs Dusty/George will be a huge main event for next week! Quite a way to start this weeks show with that announcement!! Barr makes a good point about having Funk as his partner, and already beating up George!! Strong vs Kamala should be a big time fight! Powerage and Hard Knocks get themselves thrown out of the tournament with a wild Double DQ! Big mistake by both teams! Quite the impressive line up of teams heading to the DVE from the USWA. Will Bodacious or Wells/Lance get that last spot? With the singing, I have to say I am rooting for Bodacious!! South Pacific Connection with a nice win, and Cocoa coming back to Texas could get real interesting..... The newly babyfaced Spoiler gets himseld a win, but then Paul Jones shows up with the Super D! and The Spoiler gets wrecked! A battle of the masked men is coming, and that should be a lot of fun!! Technicians have Karachi Vice fired up. Should make for quite the match in Evansville. This could change the whole outlook of the tournament. Good Lord, Strong and Lewing would be a horrible wrestling match, but would be quite the spectacle of two huge dudes beating the hell out of each other! I didn't expect to see Blanchard and Baby Doll show up on the Beauty Shop! Blanchard/Slater would be one hell of a fight! Very Interesting! I can't wait to see who the King is! Nord arrives and shows us who Nord is. I want Nord vs Rip Morgan!! Oh Man, Fuller and Golden get the mega cheap win over the Fabs in one hell of a main event! It appears the Stud Stable have officially come together and the USWA is in trouble!! On too Evansville.... Wow, if I had been coming to this show I would have hoped for car trouble so I could miss that opener :-p The Real Thing destroys 2 jobbers! I love it!! Barr and George are headed toward some real bloodbaths. Kelly and The Vin Man picks up the cheap win, but Steel gets himself a little payback! You know the fans loved that one! Big win for Rocky Johnson! I have a feeling that he is going to end up a major player here for one last big run. Bodacious advance to the tournament! Morrow takes out Wells! Love every little bit of this one!! Kamala takes down Strong, and they'd have probably ended him if not for the Soul Man. This is a great feud. Even if that no good Colon isn't here to help his friends. Oh Shit!! Karachi Vice Loses!! Roop and Rheingans win the belts? I don't want to get my hopes up with the contested finish..... but.... Great shows Spaldoni, but damn cliff hanger endings!!
  13. (Taped on Monday January 18th, 1986 and airing Friday Night January 22nd) From the world famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. I am your host Marc Lowrance, and we have quite a night of action in store for you here tonight. In our main event we are going to see Johnny Mantell go one on one with the leader of The Cartel, "El Jefe" Jose Estrada. Last week we saw this Cartel make quite the impact as they broke the arm of young Jeff Gaylord in two places. Estrada then challenged Mantell to a match intending to use him as a stepping stone to a shot at Scott Casey and the Texas Heavyweight Title. Mantell told Estrada that he'd fight, but wouldn't be anyone's stepping stone. So they will settle this, right here, tonight. For those who have been asking, Jeff Gaylord had surgery to repair the arm earlier this week, and will be out of action for some time. As I understand it, he has returned home to Missouri to be with family as he recovers, but has vowed to return here to Texas All Star once he has healed. Also tonight we will see "General" Skandor Akbar's Oriental Assassin, Kendo Nagasaki in action. We will see the debut of not one, but two new tag teams here in Texas All Star Wrestling, and speaking of tag teams. Our opening contest is going to be a match for the Texas Tag Team Titles! Normally a title match would be our main event, but Jack Victory and John Tatum insisted that they be the first wrestlers that the people see tonight so that they would know who the biggest stars in the company are. They will be defending against the former champions Mark and Chris Youngblood, The Tribal Nation. Both of these team will be part of the upcoming David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Let's head down to the action! 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -John Tatum/Jack Victory w/Dark Journey vs Tribal Nation (Mark/Chris Youngblood)- Texas Tag Team Titles This one began with Tatum and Victory being as obnoxious as possible during their introduction, and then continued with Tatum stalling, strutting, and preening in the opening minutes of the contest. The Youngbloods finally had enough of his shenanigans and began blistering him with knife edge chops and soon Tatum was in trouble as Mark and Chris cut off the ring and really worked "Hollywood" John over. Tatum finally managed to tag in Victory after taking quite the ass whipping, and Victory was able to get some offense on Chris Youngblood. Victory's luck didn't last long as Chris ducked under a clothesline and caught him with a big dropkick. A tag to his brother Mark, and soon the champions were back in trouble. The end of this one came when Dark Journey reached into the ring and tripped up Mark Youngblood as he bounced off the ropes. A fired up Chris Youngblood immediately jumped into the ring upon seeing this, and the referee was quick to usher him out. Jack Victory charged at Mark Youngblood, but Mark was smart enough to know what was coming and side stepped. Victory hit the ropes chest first, and Youngblood grabbed him from behind and rolled him up. John Tatum quickly entered the ring since the referee was still tied up with Chris, and blasted Mark with the California Kick, knocking him off of Victory. Tatum quickly exited back out of the ring, Victory quickly jumped on the stunned Mark, and the referee was counting before Chris realized what was going on. Winners, and Still Texas Tag Team Champions: John Tatum and Jack Victory Marc Lowrance: Tatum and Victory steal another one! Chris Youngblood got overzealous at the interference of this Dark Journey, and the champions took full advantage of the referee's distraction to cheat their way to retaining the titles here tonight! Look at the three of them, escaping to the dressing room like thieves in the night. Just terrible behavior from champions. Ladies and Gentleman, we'll be right back. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling, right here on KTVT. Up next we have the debut of a new tag team, sort of. During our time away for the holidays, it seems that the man we knew as The Texas Ranger was sent some back up. So now we have not one, but two Texas Rangers competing here in Texas All Star Wrestling. The one who was competing here previously told me that he should be identified by the code name, Longhorn. While his new partner, would be identified by the code name, Lonestar. So let's head down to the ring and see the tag team of The Texas Rangers! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -The Texas Rangers (Longhorn/Lonestar) vs Dave Kent/Jack Spade- The new Texas Ranger, Lonestar appears to be a little shorter and a little lighter than his partner but is also a well built and muscular athlete. He starts the match against Kent, and immediately impresses by press slamming him above his head and sends him crashing to the mat. The two masked men make frequent tags and work over both Kent and Spade for several minutes. The end comes just after Longhorn has taken Spade down with a vertical suplex and tags in Lonestar. Longhorn whips Spade into the ropes before exiting the ring, and Lonestar catches him on the rebound with a picture perfect twisting Power Slam and then covers for the One, Two, Three. Winners: Longhorn and Lonestar, The Texas Rangers Marc Lowrance: An impressive showing from this new duo as they make quick work of the competition here tonight. The question is will they be able to do the same as part of the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament coming up on February the Twelfth? Because it is official, the Texas Rangers will be joining The Tribal Nation of Chris and Mark Youngblood, Fidel Sierra and Ricky Santana of The Cartel, and the Texas Tag Team Champions John Tatum and Jack Victory as part of that tournament. Those are just four of the ten teams that will represent Texas All Star Wrestling in the tournament. Who the other teams are, we will find out over the next few weeks. Don't go anywhere Ladies and Gentleman, we'll be right back with more wrestling action! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Kendo Nagasaki w/Skandor Akbar vs Mike Bond- As soon as Akbar finished helping Nagasaki remove all of his entrance gear, Kendo was on the attack. He blasted Bond with several karate style chops to the head and neck and then went to work with a nerve hold. Nagasaki drilled elbows down into the trapezius muscle of Bond several times, then went right back into the nerve hold. Nagasaki pulled Bond to his feet and blasted him with a huge Mongolian chop that left Bond staggering. Nagasaki kicked him hard in the gut, positioned him, and dropped him with a Jumping Piledriver. The ref could have counted to one hundred. Winner: Kendo Nagasaki Marc Lowrance: I am here with your winner Kendo Nagasaki, and his manager "General" Skandor Akbar. Now... Hey... Wait a minute.... Akbar walks right past Marc Lowrance with a big smile on his face and motions for Nagasaki to follow him. "Hey Marc Lowrance! No one wants to talk with a stupid gringo like you, when they can be interviewed on The Fiesta Garden!" The camera pans over to where Al Madril is standing on the small stage away from the ringside area. This week the two fake cactus are wearing sombreros, and there are now two pinatas. The Fiesta Garden banner has been upgraded since last week and is far more stylish and sparkling. The two producer style chairs are still there, only one of them now says "Madril" across the back. Madril continues to talk as Akbar and Nagasaki make their way toward him..... Al Madril: That's right, The Fiesta Garden. The REAL highest rated segment in wrestling no matter what a bottle of bleach and some silicone might have you believe. I know last week we got short due to time constraints, but this week we have plenty of time for my very special guests, "General" Skandor Akbar and his assassin from the Orient, Kendo Nagasaki. Everyone welcome them to the Fiesta Garden! The boo's are coming hot and heavy for Madril, as well as Akbar and Nagasaki. Madril shakes hands with Akbar, and then attempts to shake hands with Nagasaki, who just looks at him like he has two heads. Al Madril: Heyyy! No harm meant big guy! Skandor Akbar: You will have to forgive Kendo Nagasaki for not returning your greeting Mr. Madril. Our ways are not his ways. He was raised to understand only one thing, and that is combat. He was bred to destroy any who oppose him, and to achieve victory by whatever means necessary. Al Madril: He was very impressive in there tonight destroying Mike whats his name, and he was certainly impressive when he ran The Spoiler out of here with his tail tucked between his legs. So what's next for him General? Skandor Akbar: You know Al, for me to procure the services of a man such as Kendo Nagasaki, it took a whole lot of the General's money. So I need to make that money back and then some. What's the best way to do that? Championship Gold! So I look around and I see Brian Adias running around here with that Texas Television Title around his waist, and I see that all of his friends have left Texas. So that makes Brian Adias a prime target for my Oriental assassin. Al Madril: Well I know if I were Brian Adias right now, I wouldn't be! That comment causes Akbar to let loose with a hearty laugh. He nods to Madril and then motions for Nagasaki to follow him as they head back toward the dressing room. Madril waves goodbye as they leave, and then turns back to the camera. Al Madril: Will Brian Adias have the courage to accept the challenge of Skandor Akbar and Kendo Nagasaki? Probably not without Kerry Von Erich here to tell him what to do. Will there be a witty retort to my earlier comments on USWA Television next week? Probably not because I doubt she got it. Will Marc Lowrance have anything worthwhile to say when I throw it back to him? Probably not, because he is terrible at this job. Back to you Marc! The camera cuts back to Marc Lowrance who looks beyond annoyed. Marc Lowrance: Let's go to commercial. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling. It's now time for the debut of our second new tag team. So let's get too it! New Edition's "Candy Girl" begins to play and down the aisle comes the new duo of Skip Young and Ray Candy! They are wearing matching red and white striped tights, sparkling red boots, and sparkling red vests. The only difference being that Young's vest says "Sweet Brown Sugar" on the back while Candy's reads "The Candy Man." They are grooving to the beat of the song and high fiving the fans on the way to the ring, and the Sportatorium fans who at first seem confused are very into it by the time they reach ringside. The ring announcers introduces them as "weighting in at a combined weight of 575 pounds, "Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young, "The Candy Man" Ray Candy, they are Good & Plenty!!" 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Good & Plenty ("Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young/"The Candy Man" Ray Candy) vs Snake Brown/The Bounty Hunter- Candy and Young had the crowd loving them even after the big entrance as they mixed a lot of big man/little man double team offense with the continued dancing and good times they displayed during their entrance. Young nearly decapitated Snake Brown with a dropkick in the opening moments of the match, and a little later Candy impressed everyone by walking around the ring while holding the big Bounty Hunter up for a body slam. The ending came when Young scaled the second rope and tagged Candy before sailing off and catching The Bounty Hunter square in the center of his chest with an impactful dropkick. Candy then entered the ring, ran across and crashed down onto the masked man with The Chocolate Drop, and that was all she wrote! Winners: "Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young and "The Candy Man" Ray Candy, Good & Plenty! Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am hear with your winners Sweet Brown Sugar and The Candy Man! Skip Young: Marc Lowrance! It feels so good to be back in Texas! It feels so good to be part of Good and Plenty with my man Ray Candy, and it feels so good to know that we are going to be part of that David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament! Ray Candy: Thirty Two Teams. That's a whole lot of men who think they have what it takes to win it all. But now that Good and Plenty have come together, there is only one team that can win it all. You wanna know who can? Let me tell ya! Sweet Brown Sugar sure can, and you gotta know....The Candy Man Can! Ha Ha Ha! Sweet Brown Sugar and The Candy Man immediately go back to high fiving the fans as "Candy Girl" begins to play again. Marc Lowrance can only grin as the show fades to commercial. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling! It's time now for our main event as Johnny Mantell goes one on one with "El Jefe" Jose Estrada. Estrada hopes to use Mantell as a stepping stone to "Cowboy" Scott Casey and the Texas Heavyweight Title, but Mantell says he is no ones stepping stone and plans to show "El Jefe" a fight. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -"El Jefe" Jose Estrada w/Fidel Sierra & Ricky Santana vs Johnny Mantell w/Sunshine- As soon as Mantell and Sunshine see that Estrada has brought Santana and Sierra with him, Mantell whispers something to Sunshine and she leaves the ringside area. Mantell is chomping at the bit to lock up, but Estrada is playing cocky and stalling, then "El Jefe" reaches out and slaps Mantell in the face. Mantell cracks a smile, and even laughs, before blasting Estrada with a huge right hand that sends "El Jefe" crashing to the mat. Mantell is quickly on top of him, peppering him with lefts and rights, and Estrada has to scramble like a madman to get out from under the onslaught of Mantell. Mantell doesn't let up though, pulling Estrada to his feet and whipping him into the ropes. He catches Estrada with a hard fist to the gut, then bounces off the ropes and nails him with a big knee lift. Mantell yanks Estrada up again, and then bodyslams him down. The crowd is one hundred percent behind Mantell as he reaches down and pulls Estrada up off the mat again, but this time it appears that Sierra and Santana have seen enough as they slide into the ring. Mantell turns and fires a big right hand at Santana, but he gets nailed from behind by Sierra. Mantell turns and tries to fight Sierra, but then both Santana and Estrada jump on him. Three on one odds quickly overwhelm him, and soon Mantell is on the mat with all three members of The Cartel laying the boots to him. Then a huge eruption from the Sportatorium crowd as Scott Casey comes running down the aisle with a steel chair in hand. He slides into the ring and manages to whack Fidel across the back, as all three members of The Cartel head for higher ground. Winner, by Disqualification: Johnny Mantell Marc Lowrance makes his way into the ring where Sunshine has arrived and she is helping Johnny Mantell to his feet along with Scott Casey. Marc Lowrance: Sunshine, may I have a word? Sunshine: I have several words right now Marc, but none that I am allowed to say on television! Scott Casey: Jose Estrada! You want a piece of me big boy? You don't have to fight my partner to get it! I'll whip you any time, any where! Johnny Mantell: But don't think that means me and you are done "Jefe!" You got a whooping coming, and you better believe I'll be bringing it! Scott Casey: and you can tell your boys Ricky and Fidel, that The Gunslingers are in the David Von Erich Tag Team Tournament too, and if they meet up with us, that'll be it for them. Johnny Mantell: Cartel! You messed with the wrong cowboys this time. We'll see you real soon fellas! Sunshine and The Gunslingers head out of the ring to a rousing ovation. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, that's all for Texas All Star Wrestling this week. We thank you so much for joining us, be sure to tune in next time, right here on KTVT. Until then, I'm Marc Lowrance, Good Night Everyone.
  14. Thank You for recapping that. Seriously appreciate it. Really a whole new perspective. Makes me hope that Conrad gets Flair and Herd together to mend fences.
  15. Fantastic recap so far, and I have to say it is definitely a far contrast of the "Pizza Guy" image that has been presented by virtually everyone that worked in the company at the time. Can't wait for part 2!!
  16. This is the part that really gets me. When the Wyatt Family first started and they were doing like a Southern backwoods Jim Jones thing with him, I thought there was so much potential with that gimmick. All kinds of potential angles with him trying to recruit and indoctrinate people. Followers could easily be swapped in and out to freshen things up. Etc. Now we have somehow gone from that, to dreadlocked supernatural murder clown, and I apparently missed the explanation (I know there probably wasn't one) on how that happened.
  17. Well, if you want to be technical about it, Yes, the Reptilians are the base issue. As it was indeed their biology reacting to the baby blood they drank in that pizza place that caused Covid-19, and thus we have lockdowns and social distancing preventing some folks from enjoying wrestling like they used too. It's probably also the reason that Triple H isn't funny.
  18. ….and what caused the lockdown and the social distancing...…
  19. He may have started that fight at the babyface, but I'm not sure he still was at the end. That other kid took a savage beating, never quit trying, and showed a ton of heart. At the end Holloway was mean mugging, and flexing and shit cause he knew he was going to win, and while it happens all the time, it just seems like poor sportsmanship to me. Good for you, kicking the shit out of a clearly overmatched opponent. Celebrate when the fight is over.
  20. Texas All Star has "Outlaw" Joel Deaton on the block. Just looking for another middle of the card guy to swap around for him.
  21. -Columbus House Show- Street/Boyd is one hell of an opener! I am interested to see where you take the "Mr. Pro" gimmick. Glad to see that someone took my idea of teaming the other Morton and Gibson! This new referee sucks. Bad News can't be happy about Fergie causing him to get the losers purse. This should be interesting. Wild tag team match in the semi-main. Moondogs/Nightmares are going to end up a blood feud at this rate. I'm sure the Rich's loved that finish! Los Tres Olympias with the big win in the main. Johnny V eating the pin is a nice way to keep the heat. -Television- Rich Cousins suspended from Television!! Boo!!! Bob Armstrong picks up a nice win against Kiniski in the opener to advance in the tournament. Kiniski may be Mr. Pro, but Armstrong showed who the wrestling master is with that finish. Gulf Coast Clash is already looking stacked, and the first four announced teams from Twin States for the DVEMTTT are looking tough. This is going to be a ton of fun. Ayala advances in the tournament working over the knee of Garvin. Love the continuity on the injury. Another fantastic segment with Morrow and Fergie! These two have become some of my favorite characters in the game. You add in Slick and Bad News, and this shit is gold! Nice win for poor, blind, Armstrong lackey, Terry Taylor! Oh good, Jeff Jarrett is going from being a piss poor referee to being a wrestler now. I sure hope he gets his blinking cowboy hat a few years early.... Bad News/Adrian Street is a match I didn't know I wanted to see until right now. I can see Bad New taking him lightly, then Street knocking the shit out of him, and then one hell of a fight breaking out. Love the big clusterfuck ending of the cage match. Plays nicely into the multiple Olympia angle, and sets up a ton of potential ways to go next. Look forward to seeing whats next! Good stuff my man! Always enjoy the action here in Twin States!
  22. Blehschmidt

    USWA

Lots of good stuff in the undercard, especially my boys the Bruise Brothers retaining the belts! Iaukea's group of monsters has the fans ready to jump the barricades as they beat down Colon and Strong. Really enjoying these guys! Quite a war between Morgan and Slater. I wasn't sure the Dirty one was leaving with the belt! Tough loss for Morgan, but I don't think he is anywhere near finished here yet. Fuller and Rhodes gets a little more interesting as The Funker comes to watch! Dusty picks up the W and keeps his title shot, but Uncle Terry lets him know what is in store! That is going to be one hell of a fight in Texas!
  23. Blehschmidt

    USWA

Dusty starts us off again this week, and immediately shows he is here to fight as he puts his title shot on the line against Ron Fuller. Fuller did have a good point about not being in the battle royal though. With Robert and Golden around, and Funk probably not being happy about The Dream being around, this could get interesting! Nice wins for Powerage and LVE. Man, Karachi Vice have gotten huge heads lately! I am looking forward to a team showing them they aren't as good as they think they are!! Kamala with the absolute destruction here tonight! Iaukea's Army is a freaking force, but the Colon/Strong/Johnson trio is quite a force as well. This should be a fun feud. Holy Shit. The image of those 4 men singing "We Are Family" as off tune as possible in gruff voices is amazing! Tremendous segment! I am now all in on Bodacious!! Devil's Duo are looking ready for war, but will it be enough to take out the Bruise Brothers? I hope not! Hmm... wonder who Paul Jones has in store for The Spoiler? Oh My, the Beauty Shop brings news of Champagne and Mr. Money joining forces to enter the DVETTT. They should be quite the formidable team! Great promo all around! Yeesh, Mark Lewin goes ape shit on Rocky Johnson. I have a feeling these matches are just going to get nastier and nastier. Looking forward to it!! Oh, Slater vs Morgan! That's gonna be one hell of a fight! and Fabs vs Fuller/Golden next week!! My Goodness, the USWA is just lining up big time matches!! The Real King? This should be good.... Hard fought main event between St. Clair and George! You certainly did a good job turning George into a believable challenger, but I am glad to see St. Clair retain. His TV Title run has been spectacular! The Barr run in at the end continues that feud and bring our show to a violent and bloody conclusion! Big show coming up at the Garden, and another awesome week of TV. So many amazing characters, teams, and angles happening in the USWA. Enjoyable show every week. Great work Spaldoni!
  24. Texas All Star sends Dory Funk Jr to Twin States for a wrestler to be named in a couple weeks.
  25. (Taped on Monday January 11th, 1986 and airing Friday Night January 15th) From the world famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. This is.... Richard Myhill's "The Hit" plays as we are shown highlights of all the top talent and hard hitting action from.... We cut to Marc Lowrance who is standing by at ringside with a big smile on his face! Marc Lowrance: Hello Everyone! Welcome to another edition of Championship Sports, and welcome back to the World Famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas! We are here on KTVT for a new year of Texas All Star Wrestling! I am your host Marc Lowrance, and my goodness do we have a huge night of action in store for you! Tonight we will see not one, but two championships defended here on the program and both matches have major stipulations. In our opening contest Brian Adias will defend the Texas Television Title that he won back at our last event Seasons Beatings. He will defend it against the man he met in that tournament final, "The Outlaw" Joeal Deaton and Deaton says that if he does not win the title, he is leaving Texas All Star Wrestling. Then in the main event, "Cowboy" Scott Casey will once again defend the Texas Heavyweight Championship against Dory Funk Jr. Only this time both men will be locked inside a fifteen foot high steel cage to ensure that there will be no interference. As far as we know Terry Funk isn't even in the state of Texas tonight, and Johnny Mantell has been banned from the building. Sunshine is in the building, but has been barred from ringside. We have several other exciting contests lined up for you as well, but enough of me talking, let's get to the action! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -"Outlaw" Joel Deaton vs Brian Adias- Texas Television Title Deaton charges as soon as the bell rings and blasts Adias with a big lariat. The big man doesn't waste any time and follows it up with a big bodyslam and then goes to work wearing down the back and neck of Adias. The opening seven or eight minutes of the match it appears that Adias is in a world of trouble as he barely gets a move in offensively as Deaton is relentless. Finally, Deaton attempts a haymaker of a clothesline and Adias ducks it and instinctively hooks him and nails the Russian Leg Sweep! Both men are down as the referee begins the count. Deaton gets to his feet at seven, and pulls Adias who is about half way standing up by his hair. Adias begins to fire lefts and rights into the stomach of Deaton, then when Deaton attempts an Irish whip, Adias reverses it and nails Deaton with a clothesline that staggers him. Adias is getting fired up as the Sportatorium crowd is going crazy for him, and fires off a dropkick that floors the "Outlaw." Adias grabs two handfuls of Deatons hair and pulls him to his feet, he then fires him into the ropes and puts him down with another picture perfect dropkick. Adias stalks around behind Deaton who is slow to his feet, hooks him, and nails him with another Russian Leg Sweep, floats over and covers him for the One, Two, Three! Winner, and Still Texas Television Champion: Brian Adias! Marc Lowrance: After a hard fought battle, Brian Adias has retained the Texas Television Title! He looked to be in big trouble early on, but with the crowd behind him he fought back and picked up the victory. Deaton claimed that he would leave Texas All Star Wrestling if he didn't win the championship here tonight, so it would appear that the "Outlaw" will be saying goodbye to the Lone Star State! Ladies and Gentleman, don't go anywhere, we'll be right back with more wrestling action! -Commercial Break- When we return, we see that Marc Lowrance has been joined by the commissioner of Texas All Star Wrestling, Frank Dusek. Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling from right here in the World Famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. Joining me now is Frank Dusek. Frank Dusek: Thank You Marc. I'm here tonight because it's being talked about in the press, and on our partners television shows, but we wanted all of the fans here in Texas to hear it from us. Next month, on February Twelfth thru the Fourteenth, Texas All Star Wrestling, Twin States Wrestling, and the United States Wrestling Association are going to join forces to pay tribute to David Von Erich. All three promotions are going to come together and thirty two tag teams are going to compete over the course of five shows in those three days in the first annual David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Marc Lowrance: Wow! That is huge news! You said thirty two tag teams? Frank Dusek: That is correct Marc. On Friday night, the USWA will be hosting their television show at the Will Rogers Coliseum and they will hold the opening six matches of the tournament. Then we will be holding a late night party here at the Sportatorium, as we will air live not only on KTVT, but for one week only on the USWA Network, as we will hold the next five matches of the tournament that night. Marc Lowrance: Texas All Star Wrestling is going to go nationwide on the USA Network that night? Frank Dusek: That's right Marc. The USA Network has graciously agreed to air the entire tournament live as it happens. The very next day, Twin States Wrestling will host a very special edition of their television show right here at the Sportatorium, also on the USA Network, which will host the final five first round matches. Then from there, we will move all of the action to the Reunion Arena on Saturday night, where we will see the entire second round of matches in one go. Marc Lowrance: That will be a special Seven PM start time on the Thirteenth at the Reunion Arena Ladies and Gentleman. Frank Dusek: Then finally folks, on Sunday afternoon at Two PM, we are back at the Reunion Arena where the eight teams remaining will fight to see who brings home the trophy, the money, and the honor of being the winners of the first annual David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Not only that, but also on that night we will see the USWA Heavyweight Champion of the World defend that title against the top contender as well. Marc Lowrance: A huge weekend of wrestling action coming to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, all in the memory of a man we all miss dearly and who was taken from us far too soon. Ladies and Gentleman, if you can be there in person, I promise you that you won't want to miss a minute of the action. But if you can't be there live, be sure to tune in right here on KTVT and on the USA Network to catch all of the action. We'll be right back. -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -"The Missouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord vs Snake Brown- This one is all Gaylord as he overwhelms the man "From Outta Town" with his size. A couple of shoulder blocks and clotheslines, a big press slam, and then an elbow drop finishes the deal. Winner: Jeff Gaylord Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am standing by with your winner Jeff Gaylo...OH MY..... Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra, both dressed in black suits, come from behind and jump Gaylord. Santana slams a chair into the back of Gaylord which sends him sternum first into the apron, then Sierra cracks him in the jaw with a closed fist punch and quarters go flying in all directions. Gaylord collapses down to the floor, as Santana and Sierra nod to one another before straightening their suits. Meanwhile, come down the aisle at a slow and leisurely pace is "El Jefe" Jose Estrada. He is dressed in an all white suit, wearing mirrored sunglasses, and as always chewing on a cigar. Santana heads over to where Marc Lowrance retreated and takes the microphone from him. He then hands it to "El Jefe" when he arrives. Jose Estrada: So this is the famous Sportatorium? This is the building that they talk about all over the world? I'm looking for the right word to describe it, but it's not coming to me. Ricky? What's the word I am looking for? Ricky Santana: A Dump? Jose Estrada: No, I've been in dumps nicer than this. Fidel, what's the word? Fidel Sierra: A Hellhole? Jose Estrada: Si! That's it. This place is a hellhole! As you can likely guess, the Texas crowd is rabidly booing by this point. Jose Estrada: But Jose Estrada came up in hellholes and dumps far worse than this, and I did whatever it took, and now look at me. There is a reason they call me "El Jefe" and it's because I do what needs to be done. Now with Ricky and Fidel here to back me up, The Cartel is in full force in Texas All Star Wrestling, and anyone who stands against us is going to end up like this stupid gringo on the floor, or maybe like Cocoa Samoa and not be around anymore. Now, we came out here tonight because we got two pieces of business. Number one, my men Ricky and Fidel want in on this tournament thing. You can keep the trophy when we win, just make sure that the check clears. Number two, I want to personally challenge Johnny Mantell to fight me right here next week if he has the guts. Nothing personal against you Mantell, I just figure that once I beat the partner of the champion, that should put me in line to challenge for the title. Now, let's go boys. Estrada takes about three steps then stops. He looks down at Gaylord, still out on the floor, and then appears to be in deep concentration. Jose Estrada: You know what. Before we go.... Break His Arm! Sierra and Santana quickly wrestle the unconscious Gaylord to a standing position. The larger Sierra holds him up against the ring apron, while Santana stretches his arm out. Estrada reaches down and picks up the chair, casually smirking at the booing fans, before turning back around and bringing it crashing down on the arm of Gaylord. As Gaylord crashes back to the floor, the three members of The Cartel head to the dressing room. Marc Lowrance: We need some help out here for Jeff Gaylord. Go to commercial.... -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling on KTVT. Before the break we saw Jeff Gaylord pick up an impressive win, then just as I was set to get a word with him, this Cartel of Estrada and newcomers Sierra and Santana came out and assaulted him. During the break medical personnel took Jeff Gaylord out of the Sportatorium on a stretcher and he is en route to a local hospital. We will try to get you an update before we go off the air tonight. In the meantime, the show must go on, and up next we have an exciting newcomer from Knoxville, Tennessee, "White Lightning" Tim Horner! Let's head down to the ring and see him in action! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs The Bounty Hunter- Horner got quite the loud cheers from the ladies in attendance and then put on quite the show, dazzling everyone with quick armdrags, high dropkicks, and cool pinning combinations. The Hunter had both a height and weight advantage over Horner, but he was never in the match. After several minutes of being in control, Horner caught Bounty Hunter in the pinning combination he calls the Lightning Cradle for the One, Two, Three. Winner: "White Lightning" Tim Horner Marc Lowrance: An impressive performance by the very impressive Tim Horner! We'll be right back with more action, right here on Texas All Star Wrestling! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Johnny Mantell vs "Sneaky" Pete Jenkins- Mantell looked pissed off when the bell rang, and he wasted no time showing Sneaky Pete that he meant business tonight. This was several minutes of Mantell battering poor Pete all over the ring, then he hooked him and drill him with the Russian Leg Sweep and covered him for the One, Two, Three. Winner: Johnny Mantell Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, I am here with your winner, Johnny Mantell. Johnny Mantell: You know something Marc, if Jose Estrada thinks that he is going to use me as a stepping stone to get a shot at Scott Casey and the Texas Title there are two things he'd better understand real fast. Number one, you ain't gotta beat me to get a crack at Scott Casey. He'll be more than obliged to beat your ass himself "El Jefe!" Number two, Johnny Mantell is no mans stepping stone, so you want a piece of me next week big boy? Well then, you got it jack! Make sure you bring your dancing shoes boy, cause I'm gonna do the Texas Two Step on your face! Mantell walks away from Marc Lowrance to massive cheers from the Sportatorium crowd. Marc Lowrance just shrugs his shoulders as the show heads to commercial. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, we are back and apparently we are heading to the....Fiesta Garden..... The camera cuts to a small stage that has been erected away from the ringside area. There are two fake cactus sitting on either side of it, a pinata hanging from somewhere in the ceiling, two producer style chairs on the stage, and a banner that reads FIESTA GARDEN has been hung on the wall behind it. Standing on the stage holding the microphone, with a smile a mile wide is Al Madril. Al Madril: Hola Amigos! For those of you who don't know me, and shame on you, I am the "Latin Lover" Al Madril and this is the world famous Fiesta Garden! Seriously, the ratings for this show probably just doubled when this segment started! It has been thirteen months since I presented the Fiesta Garden from Texas, and I can only assume that's why World Class went out of business, the Von Erich's left, and all of you people look even worse than the last time I was here! The boo's are coming hot and heavy at Madril. Al Madril: Calm Down! Calm Down! I'm only kidding! You Texas lowlifes never change! That didn't help. Al Madril: Anyway.... At this time I would like to introduce my very special guest on the Fiesta Garden this evening. He is a veteran of professional wrestling. Quite possibly the toughest man in the entire locker room here at Texas All Star Wrestling. He is the uncrowned Texas Heavyweight Champion, and he is every ladies favorite professional wrestler. Ladies and Gentleman, please give a huge round of applause, for the best around.... ME! Al Madril!! Madril takes a seat in one of the two chairs as the fans continue to boo him. Al Madril: Thank You so much for joining us on the Fiesta Garden tonight Al! It is a pleasure to have someone as handsome and talented as you gracing our hacienda this evening! Madril gets up and moves to the other chair. Al Madril: Oh No, the pleasure is all mine Al. Thank YOU for having me on the Fiesta Garden! Making an appearance on the number one show in all of professional wrestling has been a dream of mine for such a long time. Madril switches chairs again, and the fans are beyond pissed. Al Madril: You are just too kind! Now, let's get down to business. As you well know, we ask the hard hitting questions here at the Fiesta Garden, so tell me Al. Why have you come to Texas All Star Wrestling? Another chair switch from Madril. Al Madril: Well Mr. Madril, I have unfinished business here in Texas. You see, right before the AWA pulled the plug on World Class, I had just made my triumphant return. I had my good friend Hercules beside me, I had Sunshine on my arm, and I had just won championship gold. Things were looking great for Al Madril, and then that idiot Verne Gagne pulled the plug. Madril moves to the other chair. Al Madril: That guy is the worst. Back to the other chair. Al Madril: His kid is a terrible wrestler too. But yeah, that's why I am here. I was just about to claim Texas for Al Madril, and that chance got taken away. Then I saw that this Texas All Star Wrestling had started running, so I called up Jerry Jarrett... Madril quickly switches chairs again. Al Madril: Whose kid is a terrible referee. Another switch. Deafening boos at this point. Al Madril: I know, I saw that. Anyway, I called up Jerry Jarrett and told him that since Texas All Star is part of the USWA that he needed to get some star power down here quick before this place went under. I mean, the Texas Heavyweight Champion is Scott Casey for the love of God! The only people paying money to see that have four teeth and look like this crowd! Jerry agreed and signed me to a contract making twice what any of the losers that already work here are making! He also told me to keep an eye on Frank Dusek, because he is pretty sure that he is skimming off the house. Madril gets up to switch chairs again, but before he can continue talking, Frank Dusek comes from the back and looks irate. He is screaming "GO TO COMMERCIAL" as Madril is standing on the stage making a "What did I do" face at him. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling. I would like to apologize for anything Al Madril said that may have offended you. Please understand that his views are absolutely not the views of Texas All Star Wrestling. If I can say anything for the Fiesta Garden, it at least gave us time to set up the steel cage for our main event. I'm sure you've all heard enough talking, so let's head down to the ring for our main event of the evening. 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -Scott Casey w/Sunshine vs Dory Funk Jr- Steel Cage Match - Texas Heavyweight Title The cage was expected to be just a formality to stop outside interference in this one, as it didn't really fit the style of Dory Funk Jr. However, once the door closed, we saw a different side of Dory Funk. Coming out of the lock up he caught Casey with several lifters that rocked the champion, and then Funk grabbed a handful of hair and smashed Scott Casey face first into the cage. Funk then grabbed a second handful of hair and began to rake the face of the Texas Champion back and forth across the mesh before letting him drop to the canvas. When Casey got to his feet, blood running down his face, the fight was on. Casey came out firing punches and apparently caught Funk off guard. Casey battered Dory with lefts and rights until he had backed Funk up against the cage, he then grabbed him by the ears and began to bang the back of his head off the cage, before spinning him around and rubbing his face across the mesh! Soon enough, Dory Funk Jr was a bloody mess as well! With men now donning the crimson mask, the match became a back and forth affair as the brawling style of Casey and the technical prowess of Funk vied for dominance. Funk appeared to be trying to take out the arm of Casey, but every time it appeared that he was getting somewhere, Casey seemed to get a second wind and would come firing back with the other arm and start beating on Funk again. The end came just past the fifteen minute mark as Dory was wringing on the arm of Casey and whipped him into the ropes. Funk sidestepped and appeared to be grabbing at the arm for an armbar, but Casey was able to throw the arm around the head and dropped Funk with the Bulldog! Casey quickly cradled Dory and the referee counted the One, Two, Three!! Winner, and Still Texas Heavyweight Champion: Scott Casey! Marc Lowrance: All Right! "Cowboy" Scott Casey has defeated Dory Funk inside the steel cage and remains the Texas Heavyweight Champion! Ladies and Gentleman, that is all for Texas All Star Wrestling this week. We thank you so much for joining us, be sure to tune in next time, right here on KTVT. Until then, I'm Marc Lowrance, Good Night Everyone.
