It didn't take the company long to find a new home for their product as the USA Network, which airs their parent promotion, the Unites States Wrestling Association, has given them a time slot on Saturday's at 12:00 PM. It is being reported that the USA Network is looking to have a block of sports programming on Saturday afternoons right after their popular Cartoon Express programming ends, and that Texas All Star Wrestling is set to be the lead in. So for those of you who can't make it out to the Sportatorium to see the program when it is taped on Monday nights, be sure to tune in to the USA Network, every Saturday at Noon for all of your favorite Texas wrestling action!

CHAOS!!! Right off the bat as The Fabs get a shot at Karachi Vice after taking them out of the DVEMTT last weekend, but then the Stud Stable hit the ring and the brawl is on!! Jerry Jarrett tosses the Stud Stable out of the building. We find out that Blanchard is banned from the building, Dick Slater can't defend his title, and now either Morrow or Rocky Johnson will be the new Mid Americas Champion!! Not only that, but Karachi will still defend the belts TONIGHT!! A six man tag with mystery partners on both sides! That should be fun!! Oh Man! Both Curt Hennig and The King arrive next week!! I wish it was next week!! Jesse Barr is now playing dress up, as he continues to lose it! But him choking out Bassarab make sure no one thinks its a joke! Mike George runs in for the save, and the feud will continue!! Morrow and Johnson is going to be a great feud!! I can't repeat enough how awesome a job you've done with Morrow! Oh....that was a Beauty Shop..... be right back, I need to go write a Fiesta Garden..... The Spoiler/Super D feud is heating up nicely and they haven't even had a match yet! When these two finally collide it should be fun! Fuller/Rhodes is a guaranteed war!! Fuck Yeah!! The Bruise Brothers are double champions!! One hell of a match, and Karachi Vice's death grip on the titles is all over!! Great Ending!!! On to the Cook Convention Center..... Greg's lackeys get a win... Meh! Oh Man, Jesse Barr has lost it! Mike George gets hung and stretchered out in match 2!! Hope that doesn't set a precedent for the evening!!! Super D gets the cheap victory on Spoiler after interference from Jones! Perfect finish for the first meeting!! Fabs pick up a nice win over the Stud Stable, but this is far from over! Nagasaki makes a great addition to Iaukea's army! The Stomper makes for a nice counter!! Wild brawl ensues, and who expected anything less!! Fuller gets the win on Dusty after whacking him with a cowbell, but the real story here is probably going to be the resulting 6 man tags with Dusty teaming with The Fabs! That is gonna draw some Money!! Great Main Event!! Rocky Johnson is definitely the right choice for the winner here. He is going to have a great run here in the USWA. Good stuff as always Spaldoni!
  4. Big changes happening in Continental! Gulf Coast Title is out the window, 16 man tournament happening then the winner meets Buddy Landel for the new Continental Heavyweight Championship, and the Rich Cousins are now the Continental Tag Team Champions! Plus more announcements to come!! My, oh my! This place is growing fast!! Buddy is ON this week! Between Bullwinkel and "What kinda name is that for a person" I was loving it!! He does make a good point about the Rich's titles just being converted, and him having to compete. Borne not liking his Maniac nickname is a cool little touch. Potential dissension in the Platinum Club already can't be good. Nice win for Terry Taylor, and if he can get out of Bob Armstrong's shadow, he should make quite an impact in the tournament. Good for Downtown Bruno, not crying over spilled milk. The Mighty Goliath should make him a fine charge. Ohhh Boy.... I can't wait to find out what Fergie just signed. This should be good! Horner should be a great challenger for Chicky Starr and Junior Heavyweight Title. BOOOO!!! I'm cool with Dundee winning over Barnes, but not when it's thanks to ole blinky hat. Mulligan and Kendall put down the 'Dogs in the main event! God Damn! Those tournament brackets are STACKED!!! I can't pick a winner for sure, but I'll bet they come from the bottom half of the bracket. Really liking where Continental is headed. Definitely on the way up to bigger and better things. Good Stuff as Always Brother!
  5. The news article that is going around is just about how WWE is still paying Bo, and in the mean time he and Liv Morgan are starting a "family real estate business" and have a farm together. No where does it explicitly state that they are romantically inolved. They certainly could be, or they may just have two business together. I think people have seen "family business" and associated it as them being a family, when in reality I think it just means they are selling homes to families and not commercial properties. But, I could be totally off base here.
  6. He absolutely should. However, most of his "Cult of Cornette" followers are tuned in for those rants, and they are lining his pockets with podcast revenue and buying his merch. Sure, some of them like us may enjoy hearing Corny reminisce about Ron Starr's time in Continental. But the biggest portion of them are there anymore to listen to him rant and rave about Omega, and the Bucks, and whatever happened on Raw, and Janela, and so on, and so on. At this point he has worked himself into a shoot, because if he stops doing looney rants, there goes his cash cow.
  7. If I knew who to report it too, I would be happy too as well. This isn't the first time it's happened either, he seems to pop up randomly about once a month, spew some stupid shit, and then disappear until the next time. and no worries @C.S., I know you and I have had differences of opinion on wrestling based topics, but when it comes to this kind of stupidity, I will stand beside you any day of the week.
  8. Several of the women are pissed off about it, Liv Morgan and Peyton Royce as well. I don't think they would normally care if this was fan made content, but this one was apparently put out by the WWE on Fox Twitter account, so the women who were ranked as being worth 1 and 2 dollars are feeling slighted.
  9. Texas All Star will hire Nick and Kelly Kiniski (and I promise not to fire Nick in like 5 days!)
  10. It would be great if you'd take your "who cares if a wrestler is a killer or a rapist", I only post when I'm attempting to stir up shit with people who have different views than I do, bullshit and take it somewhere else.
  11. Dallas Morning News Sports Section 2/16/1986 Texas All Star Wrestling dropped by KTVT Despite the success of the tournament that was held this past weekend in Dallas to mark the two year anniversary of the death of David Adkisson, known to the wrestling world as David Von Erich, and despite drawing very high ratings in a late night time slot on Friday evenings, KTVT Channel 11 has dropped the popular Texas All Star Wrestling television show from their network. KTVT General Manager Charles L. Edwards said of the situation. "The wrestling program was no longer in line with the kind of programming we wish to offer on our network. The violence and language has gotten progressively worse in recent weeks, and this past weekend they simulcast our programming on another network without our permission, which led us to make the decision to terminate our relationship with the program." When asked for comment, an unnamed member of the Texas All Star Wrestling Board of Directors said "We are aware of the situation, and are working to secure a new platform for the people to view our product. An announcement will be forthcoming." There is no word as of yet what programming KTVT will use to fill the time slot formerly occupied by the wrestling program.
  12. Similar experience here with Ring of Honor. I've been to a lot of indy shows, and ROH tends to draw a significantly higher number of African American fans than any other shows I have been too. Mind you that these shows were in Virginia and Pennsylvania, so part of me wonders if this could potentially be because it might be something of a "classier" product than your regular hometown indy show, and is likely to draw more smart fans and the like instead of the largely white trash crowd that comes to the other. (and I say that having ring announced the local shows for quite some time) so maybe folks who wouldn't normally attend shows because of that crowd feel more empowered to attend because of it. Chikara was similar in that when I saw them in Ohio, it drew a very Chikara crowd, yet when they came to the Pittsburgh area and ran back to back with the local indy, you had drunk rednecks screaming "He looks like a tampon" and "Faggot" at one of the wrestlers, and pretty much shitting on everything on the show the entire time.
  13. He's already got my vote for Best Babyface
  14. We cut back to Marc Lowrance who is waiting with a microphone.... Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, it is now time for the finals of the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament. The winners of the match will claim the David Von Erich Memorial Trophy and the One Hundred Thousand Dollars in prize money. Black Bart and Ron Bass have fought tooth and nail to make it here, while Tommy and Johnny Rich have used every low down tactic they could think of to keep winning. It all comes down to this, so let's head to the ring. Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold" plays and the Texas crowd goes wild remembering the music of Kevin Von Erich, but those cheers turn to deafening boo's when the Rich cousins emerge from the locker room, dressed in matching Tennessee orange trunks. They mock the crowd and make general asses of themselves the whole way to the ring. Black Bart and Ron Bass come out and stop a few steps from the dressing room and Bart points toward the skies, and all of a sudden "La Grange" by ZZ Top, which was the theme for David Von Erich begins to play. Bart and Bass both nod and then head toward the ring, looking very ready for a fight as the crowd goes crazy for them. Marc Lowrance: Here We Go... 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -The Wild Bunch (Black Bart/Ron Bass) vs "Wildfire" Tommy Rich/Johnny Rich w/Davey Rich- David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament FINAL Before the bell could even ring the brawl began as all three of the Rich Cousins attacked Bart and Bass. That didn't last long as "Wild" Bill Irwin came charging out of the back to even up the odds, and he chased Davey Rich clear out of the arena so that just the men in the match were left to fight this out amongst themselves. The referee got Black Bart and Tommy Rich out of the ring and the match was set to start with Ron Bass and Johnny Rich as the legal men. Johnny attempted to open things up with an eye rake, but Ron Bass blocked it, and showed Johnny that he wasn't dealing with a regular fan favorite when he raked his eyes, followed it up with a back rake, and then gave him a bit of a "bag tag" that had the fans roaring in delight, and Johnny high stepping around the ring. Bass scooped Johnny up and gave him an atomic drop that had him doing a little more dancing, and then took him off his feet with a big right hand. Bass tagged in Bart who looked liked a kid in a candy store as he started laying into Johnny Rich. The Reunion Arena crowd was clearly behind Black Bart as he pounded Rich from pillar to post, and they came out of their seats on a high back body drop that looked like it killed Johnny. Bart went to the buckles for the Texas Trash Compactor, but Tommy Rich came across the apron like a flash and caught Bart with a forearm smash that sent him off the ropes, hard to the apron, and down to the floor. This allowed Johnny time to crawl across the ring and tag Tommy in, who was able to jump on Bart, just as he got back into the ring. The momentum totally shifted at this point as Tommy Rich went to work breaking down the leg of Black Bart. He was absolutely relentless, dropping elbows, knees, stomps, and even punches into the leg of Bart. He positioned it on the ropes and dropped his full weight on it over and over again. At one point, he allowed Bart to get up, just so he could kick the leg out from underneath him. Then after a solid five minutes of this assault on the leg of Bart, Tommy Rich locked on the Figure Four Leglock. Bart was in agony, but was still swinging punches at Tommy Rich. Rich responded by giving Bart the finger, which only made Bart madder, which only made Rich cinch down harder on the hold. Bart tried to pull himself toward the ropes, inch after inch, but eventually he stopped moving. The referee dropped down and counted One, Two, Thre... Bart sat up at the last possible second and with a loud yell, again began pulling himself bodily toward the ropes. Both Ron Bass and the Reunion Arena crowd were clapping and stomping, willing Bart toward the ropes and with one final drag, he was able to grab them. Tommy Rich waited until the count of Four to release the hold, and then backed away with a smirk on his face and tagged in Johnny. Bart started using the ropes to pull himself toward Bass, but Johnny Rich ran over and stomped on Bart to halt his momentum. Johnny grabbed two handfuls of hair and pulled Bart to his feet, and then slapped him across the face. Leg or no leg, Black Bart wasn't having that and he fired a big right hand at Johnny that knocked him over backwards, but also caused Bart to fall back down. At this point, both men were crawling toward their partners! Johnny reached Tommy first and tagged him in, and Tommy was quickly into the ring, trying to reach Bart, but was a second too late!! The pop was huge when Bart made the tag to Ron Bass! Bass came in with both fist clenched and he went right for Tommy Rich, who pulled the referee between himself and Bass!! Bass collided with the referee who went down to the canvas in a heap, and when Bass was looking down at the ref in stunned confusion, Tommy Rich kicked him square in the nuts. Bass sank to his knees holding his groin, and Tommy fired off another kick to his face. Johnny Rich came back into the ring and the two of them started laying the boots to Bass. Black Bart stepped back into the ring, and although he could barely walk, attempted to charge at the Rich cousins. They lashed out with a double kick to the gut, and then dropped Bart with a double DDT. As Tommy and Johnny stood over both Bart and Bass, they each raised their hands into the air and gave the sign for the Iron Claw! The boo's from the crowd were deafening, and it certainly looked like the people on the floor were edging closer to the ring... Just as things reached a fever pitch, the opening strains of "Tom Sawyer" by Rush exploded across the sound system for the arena..... Inside the ring, Tommy Rich doubled over laughing and gave a big thumbs up, then started stomping around the ring holding up his Iron Claw hand. The boo's almost began to drown out the song, but then the crowd began to rumble and soon exploded into a roar of cheers so loud that the shaking of the building was actually visible on television. The camera that was still on Tommy Rich saw the look on his face go from elation, to confusion, to horror. He and Johnny began to back away from the fallen Bart and Bass, as two men came down the aisle and slid into the ring..... Marc Lowrance: KEVIN!! KERRY!! THE VON ERICH'S ARE IN THE REUNION ARENA!!! When Kevin and Kerry Von Erich hit the ring, wearing blue jeans and WWF t-shirts, the roof nearly blew clear off of the Reunion Arena. When Kerry Von Erich hit Johnny Rich with a Discus Punch that sent him cartwheeling over the top rope backwards, the words of Marc Lowrance on commentary were totally drowned out by the roar of the crowd. When Tommy Rich began to beg off, but Kevin blasted him with a huge right hand the roar only intensified. Then Kerry hit him, then Kevin again, then Kerry leveled him with a Discus Punch of his own. Then Kevin Von Erich raised his hand into the air and showed the Reunion Arena the Iron Claw and again the building was shaking. Kevin dropped down, straddled Tommy Rich and locked in the Iron Claw as Texas roared. Rich kicked and thrashed for several moments, then began to just twitch, then grew totally still, and when Kevin came up, blood was dripping from his fingers. Kevin and Kerry nodded to one another, and Kevin headed over to wake up the referee, while Kerry got Ron Bass to his feet. Bass and Kerry eyed one another, then Bass staggered over, dropped an elbow on Rich and waited, as the revived referee crawled over and counted One.....Two.....Three!!! Winners of the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament: Black Bart and Ron Bass, The Wild Bunch!!!! Marc Lowrance: Black Bart and Ron Bass have won the tournament!! Kevin and Kerry are here!! The Rich Cousins have been wiped out!!! All is right in Texas tonight!! Kevin and Kerry head back into the ring where they present the trophy to a battered Black Bart and Ron Bass who are standing in the center of the ring soaking it all in. They hoist the trophy into the air, and then Kevin and Kerry raise their arms into the air. The crowd is going absolutely nuts as the celebration begins. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, it has been an amazing three days here in Texas. We want to Thank You all for tuning in and watching us, we want to thank the USA Network for hosting us. We here at Texas All Star want to thank our friends at Continental Wrestling, and the USWA for allowing us to be part of such a wonderful organization. Mostly we want to thank everyone involved, and all of you for coming together and allowing all of us to celebrate the life of an amazing man and an amazing wrestler who is sorely missed. Congratulations once again to Black Bart and Ron Bass for winning this tournament, and although I know it isn't permanent. Welcome home to Kevin and Kerry Von Erich, and thank you to the World Wrestling Federation for allowing them to be here tonight. For Lance Russell, Charlie Platter, and even Ronnie P. Gossett, I am Marc Lowrance, saying Good Night Everyone. The show closes with Black Bart, Ron Bass, and Bill Irwin in the ring holding the David Von Erich Memorial Trophy and the 100,000 check for a press picture. While Kevin and Kerry Von Erich are being bombarded at ringside by long time Texas fans who are overjoyed at seeing them home again.
  15. Tully and Baby Doll try to pull a fast one on Slater, but when the plan backfires Tully just beats Slater senseless with a chair!! Yikes. I think we'll be seeing more of this one, as Mr. Slater comes looking for revenge. The Rich cousins cheat there way to another victory after endearing themselves to the fans a little bit more! The Bruise Brothers puts up one hell of a fight, and would have won the match if not for the cheating. Great showing for them in the tournament. The Slickster, Morrow, and Fergie try to spread around a little more money, but The Wild Bunch aren't having it. Irwin whipping the check out of Slick's hand is a great touch! Wild Bunch all working together to use the tactics of Fergie and Morrow against them in the finish was awesome. I particularly liked Bart taking a drink before cracking Fergie with the bottle! The Funker comes out and graces us with some words of wisdom before taking on the Egg Sucking Dog known as Dusty Rhodes. Uncle Terry always has time for his fans! One hell of a fight between Funk and the Dream, and Dusty seems poised to bring home the gold, when Terry knocks down the ref, and Ron Fuller arrives on the scene. One cowbell to the head of Rhodes later, and The Funker retains. Then the whole Stud Stable arrives and the beatdown commences, but here come the Fabs for the save!! Did the Stable attack the Fabs? Interesting.... Great stuff Spaldoni!! Thanks to you and Gene for doing this! Now, let's see whose gonna win this sumbitch!!
  16. Airing Live on the.... From the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.... bring to you, Night 2 of the: We open with a panning shot of the huge crowd that has filled the Reunion Arena. They are loud, and they are ready for action! The camera then pans down to Marc Lowrance who is standing by with a microphone. Marc Lowrance: Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman, and Welcome to the final night of the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament right here on the USA Network! Tonight we will see the final seven teams compete for the Memorial Trophy and the Hundred Thousand Dollars. We will also see Dick Slater defend the Mid-America Title against Tully Blanchard with Baby Dull, and Terry Funk will go one on one with "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes for the USWA World Heavyweight Championship. We have a lot of action for you tonight, so let's get right to it with the first quarter final match in the tournament. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Bruise Brothers (Porkchop Cash/The Snowman) vs "Hollywood" John Tatum/"New Jersey Heartthrob" Jack Victory w/Dark Journey- In this battle of the Texas Tag Team Champions and the Central States Tag Team Champions, the fans were one hundred percent behind the Bruise Brothers. Tatum and Victory didn't let that bother them in the least as they strutted and preened before the bell rang. Once it did ring, Tatum immediately continued strutting but added in some stalling and the occasional ducking underneath the ropes to really piss the crowd off! The match itself saw Tatum and Victory take control early with some Greco Roman Eye Gouges and blatant double teaming on Porkchop Cash. They did as much as they possibly could behind the back of the referee, including choking him with the tag rope, and they very nearly won the match after a Victory diving elbow drop, because Tatum was holding the legs of Cash from the floor! Finally, Porkchop reversed an Irish whip, blasted Victory with a headbutt and was able to crawl over and make a tag. The Snowman came in fired up and blasted away on both Victory and Tatum with kicks and punches, then took Victory down with a big clothesline. Tatum was near the ropes, and Snowman clotheslined him clear out of the ring to the floor which drew a huge pop from the Reunion crowd. Snowman scooped Victory up onto his shoulders and planted him with a big Running Powerslam, and then tagged Porkchop back into the ring. Snowman then headed to the floor and popped Tatum with another big punch, while Cash dropped another Headbutt on Victory and covered him for the One, Two, Three! Winners, Advancing to the Semi-Finals: The Bruise Brothers (Porkchop Cash/The Snowman) Marc Lowrance: Oh Yeah! The Bruise Brothers have defeated John Tatum and Jack Victory! They will move on in the tournament, and the Texas crowd is loving it! Folks, we will be right back with more action! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament on the USA Network! We've already seen the Bruise Brothers advance in the tournament, and now it is time to find out who they will face in the Semi-Finals. Up next from Continental Wrestling, we have Ken Wayne and Danny Davis, known as the Nightmares taking on.... Tommy and Johnny Rich. Ladies and Gentleman, you'll forgive me if I don't sound unbiased during this contest, but after the things that the Rich cousins have said about Texas and the Von Erich family, I sincerely hope that the Nightmares beat them and beat them badly. Let's head down to the ring. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Nightmares (Danny Davis/Ken Wayne) vs "Wildfire" Tommy Rich/Johnny Rich w/Davey Rich- The negative reaction for the Rich cousins upon their introduction was nearly deafening, and only got louder when Tommy Rich made the hand sign for the Iron Claw then used it to grab his crotch. That heat didn't die down in the least when Tommy and Johnny attacked The Nightmares just as the bell was ringing. They pitched Danny Davis out of the ring and singled out Ken Wayne, delivering quite a quick beatdown on him until the referee pushed Tommy out of the ring. Johnny didn't let up, stomping, choking, and dropping elbows on Wayne until he got tired and tagged Tommy back in. Tommy Rich continued the beat down on Wayne, but he was also having a good time showboating and yelling at the crowd. It wound up costing him after a bit, as Wayne grabbed the legs of Rich and dropped him with a reverse atomic drop much to the delight of the crowd. As Tommy Rich wobbled around the ring, walking like he'd just been shot in the groin, Wayne quickly made the tag to Danny Davis who came in like a crazy man! Davis blasted Tommy Rich with an uppercut that sent Tommy off of his feet into a huge flat back bump. David then tore across the ring just as Johnny Rich entered the ring, and Davis blasted him with a single punch that sent him sailing backwards over the top to the floor! After this The Nightmares were in control and looked to have things well in hand as they beat on Tommy Rich and prevented him from making the tag. However, the tide quickly turned and the end came when Davis and Wayne both came into the ring and took Tommy over with a double suplex. Instead of leaving the ring, they looked to hit a second one, but the referee was shoving Wayne out of the ring as he had reached his five count. While he was distracted, Johnny Rich jumped quickly into the ring and kicked Danny Davis in the balls. Davis collapsed to the mat, Tommy Rich fell on top of him, grabbed a hand full of tights, and when the referee turned around, he dropped down and counted One.. Two..... Ken Wayne leapt in, but was too late.... Three! Winners, Advancing to the Semi-Finals: "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and Johnny Rich Marc Lowrance: Oh Come On!! The Nightmares had this match won! These Rich cousins are absolutely despicable. Ladies and Gentleman, we'll be right back. -Commercial Break- -"Mr. Money" Carl Fergie and "Champagne" Gerry Morrow receive a Bye into the Semi-Finals- Since the fans were already so happy after the win by the Rich cousins, you can only imagine how excited they were when it was announced that Morrow and Fergie received a bye. The boo's got even angrier when Morrow and Fergie came out of the entrance way, waved to the crowd, and then toasted them with glasses of champagne before returning to the dressing room. Marc Lowrance: The hits just keep coming Ladies and Gentleman. Carl Fergie and Gerry Morrow advance without wrestling a match thanks to the Draw between The Gunslingers and the Dynamite Duo in the last round. Talk about the luck of the draw for these two! But, let us move on as we head to the last match of the Quarter Finals. The Texas All Star duo of Black Bart and Ron Bass, The Wild Bunch are set to take on the USWA team of Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden. Let's head down to the action! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Wild Bunch (Black Bart/Ron Bass) vs Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden- This one started off on the slow side with Golden and Bass locking up and both men struggled to get an advantage. They circled one another and locked up again, and this time Golden was able to push Bass back toward his corner, where Fuller grabbed Bass by the hair, and Golden sucker punched him to take the advantage. From there Fuller and Golden effectively cut the ring in half, made frequent tags, more frequent double teams, and worked Ron Bass over until he was nearly finished. At around the seven minute mark, Golden dropped an elbow from the second rope onto Bass and covered but Bass still managed to kick out at two. Golden tagged Fuller back in, and Robert pulled Bass up and gave him a kick to the gut, then took him over with a suplex. Another cover, another count of two. Fuller took a few steps back, then charged forward and dropped a knee across the face of Bass. Another cover, another two. Fuller looked annoyed as he pulled Bass to his feet, and then clamped on a Sleeper Hold! Bass struggled briefly, but soon his arms were hanging down at his sides. The referee came over and lifted his arm, and it fell. On the apron Black Bart, started stomping and hollering, and soon the fans were doing the same. The referee checked the arm of Bass again, and again it fell. From the apron Bart was banging on the turnbuckle and stomping his feet. When the referee grabbed the wrist of Bass, Bart yelled out "DADGUM IT RON, WAKE UP!!" The referee lifted the arm of Bass into the air for the third time, and it started to drop, but about half way down Bass gave a thumbs up, and the Reunion Arena crowd went crazy! Bass started shaking some feeling back into himself as Fuller looked to be clamping down even harder on the sleeper, but then Bass fired an elbow into his gut, and another, and another! Finally Fuller let go of the sleeper, and Bass nailed him with a big right hand before stumbling over and tagging in Black Bart! When the hot tag was made, another huge cheer went up from the Texas faithful! Bart came in like a dadgum wildman, throwing haymakers at Fuller, throwing haymakers at Golden who got in the ring, and nearly throwing one at the referee who came to warn him about using closed fists! Bart whipped Fuller into the ropes and nailed him with a clothesline. Bart sent Golden into the ropes and gave him a back body drop. Fuller was back up and Bart gave him another clothesline! Golden was about half way back to his feet, and Bart crashed into him with a knee that sent him through the ropes and to the floor! Bart turned around to find Fuller back on his feet, and he scooped him up and planted him with a big bodyslam! Finally Black Bart scaled the turnbuckles and came off with the Texas Trash Compactor for the One, Two, Three!! Winners, Advancing to the Semi-Finals: The Wild Bunch (Black Bart/Ron Bass) Marc Lowrance: Black Bart cleans house, and just like that The Wild Bunch have advanced in the tournament!! The crowd here at the Reunion Arena are loving it, and Bart is going crazy in the ring. Bass looks a little worse for wear, but he will have some time to recover before they compete again. Okay Ladies and Gentleman, I am going to go ahead and turn things over to my colleague Lance Russell. Take it away Lance!
  17. Round 2.... Fight!! Gossett making more friends in Texas to start the night. Gotta love it! Tatum and Victory labeling themselves the Home Team is fantastic! Dug this match, and liked Dark Journey playing into the finish like she did. I am ashamed of myself that these guys have fallen by the way side in the build up to the tournament, so I am glad that you and Spaldoni have made them look so good. Tremendous finish to the Highwaymen/Bruise Brothers match! A classic that only gets pulled out once in a blue moon, and this was the perfect place for it. Duncum clotheslining the referee after the decision just makes it even better. I love the Bruise Brothers, and I am glad they've moved on. and now The Rich Cousins.... Coming out to Tom Sawyer is a huge dick move, as are the Mike Von Erich and No Class Wrestling shirts. But the "I Survived The All Japan Pro Wrestling Tour 1984" shirt.... Fuck... I mean.... Fuuuckkk. I truly believe someone would have tried to kill Tommy Rich right there in that moment. That line had me rolling. Absolutely tremendous. Great way to save face for the Fabs, get even more heat on the Rich's, that they absolutely didn't need, and promptly get them out of the building so they didn't get murdered. Though I think this was my favorite line of the night!! Moondogs make a nuisance of themselves and get the Technicians DQ'ed! Nightmares win, but end the match laid out in the ring. Rough night for the babyfaces. Morrow and Fergie buying their way to the next round is fantastic. Boyd drinking the champagne like a shot was a great touch. These guys are going to be super fresh for the next round! Gunslinger and the Dynamite Duo, two of the top babyfaces teams in the game go to a Draw! Oh yeah, Fergie and Morrow are going to be SUPER fresh!! Glad to see someone else got to have some fun writin' a dadgum Black Bart promo! Irwin chasing Johnny V around with the whip would have been such a huge pop in Texas! or maybe this!! Buddy Landel is always welcome on the Fiesta Garden. and.... Slimmer than Kendall Windham is actually the line of the night!! Valiant powdering himself in the face, and then Bart picking up the win is the right kind of chaos that this match needed!! Speaking of chaos, Fullers and Armstrongs just don't mix and the last match of the second round proves it yet again!! Bob and Terry seem to have things well in hand, but Ron makes his presence felt and The Stud Stable moves on! and just when it seems like we are all done.... Bruiser Brody makes his return to Texas!! and learns a lesson!! Great way to close the night! Great show all around!! Very excited to bring this thing home tomorrow!
  18. and RPG starts us off the right way! I'm glad someone has picked up on the fact that Marc Lowrance is dried than plain white toast! Indian Express and the Percy Pringle stuff had me laughing too! Dynamite Duo gets a nice win over High Flyin' Fever in the opening contest, which had a nice hot start until Gagne bored it down a bit. Fortunately Savoldi came in and did the job, and the right team advances! Spaldoni threatening to send Gagne to the Fiesta Garden!! PLEASE.... but if you do, I am co-writing it with Gene, and Landel is co-hosting!! Speaking of Buddy, he does some commentary for the following contest and it is fantastic. The Dusty Rhodes comment made me chuckle loud enough to startle my wife. As for the match, the Rangers give it their best, but some good old fashioned cheating gets the job done and the Fabulous Blondes move on! Wild Bunch picks up a quick one against the Devils Duo, but something tells me Bart was still pissed off at those guys for being aligned with Killer Brooks way back when! Paul Jones isn't going to be a happy man after that one! Very excited for Nick Bockwinkel in Continental. I enjoyed writing for Nick a ton, and your interviews are second to none, so I know this is going to be a great fit. He should do very well here. Bob Armstrong just became the biggest heel in the tournament to me, cutting off "We are Family." I hope Terry Taylor turns on him. Good match here, Bodacious held there own for a while, but Armstrong and Taylor work well together, and the dreaded Five Arm spells the end. Fantastic banter between the Stud Stable and the Glamour Boys! Loved the line about cousins from Tennessee. Well put together match, and Fuller and Golden will definitely have some good heat with the Texas fans now. Great first round of the tournament comes to an end. Fantastic show as always, and I look forward to seeing the 2nd Round a little later!!
  19. Texas All Star sends Dutch Mantell and Bobby Jaggers to the USWA for Randy Rose and Pat Rose Texas All Star sends Mark and Chris Youngblood to the NWA for Rip Rogers
  20. I like the girls in the Yellow Rose jackets showing off the trophy. Great touch! I am picturing the reaction of Tatum and Victory when Street blew them a kiss and can see it perfectly! Damn, quite the contest between these two teams and it looked like Dundee and Street had the match well in hand until things broke down at the end. Tatum uses the distraction to put Street down, and the Texas Tag Team Champions move on to Round 2!! Loving Sierra coming out with the cigar to try and get Cocoa off his game, but it seems to have backfired spectacularly as the SPC are on it tonight!! The Cartel does some damage, but in the end, I think Cocoa Samoa saw his chance for some revenge and there was no stopping him in this one!! YEAH! My boys The Highwaymen make short work of the RPM's! Good riddance to them, and may arguably my best contribution to this game have a wonderful run in the tournament! Hard hitting war between The Moondogs and my favorite team in the USWA, The Bruise Brothers. This definitely looked like it could go either way until the very end, but Snowman and Porkchop show superior team work and put away Rex to advance to the next round! Moondogs take a cheap shot at the end, and we'll have to see if that effects The Bruise Brothers as the tournament continues. Aww Shit.... here comes the Rich Cousins..... and Tommy immediately tries to get the whole tournament shut down by getting murdered by the fans!! Tommy and Johnny take quite the ass whipping before cheating for the victory and then continuing to instigate things. Oh my... these two are going to cause trouble all weekend! Well, if anything could potentially placate the anger of the fans after that, The Fabulous Ones absolutely embarrassing Karachi Vice in the last match of the evening would probably do the trick! Great Start to the tournament Spaldoni! I'm really glad we all decided to do this!!
  21. (Airing Live on Friday Night February 12th) and From the world famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. This is.... Richard Myhill's "The Hit" plays as we are shown highlights of all the top talent and hard hitting action from.... We cut to ringside where Marc Lowrance is standing by with a microphone. Marc Lowrance: Hello Everyone! Welcome to the World Famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas and Welcome to Championship Sports. We are here tonight on KTVT and for the very first time on the USA Network for another exciting edition of Texas All Star Wrestling! The David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament is under way, as those of you who have been tuning in on the USA Network have just witnessed the first six matches in the tournament on the USWA television program that aired directly before ours. So far tonight we have seen the following teams advance in the tournament. The Texas Tag Team Champions John Tatum and Jack Victory. The South Pacific Connection of Sivi Afi and Cocoa Samoa. The Highwaymen of Phil Hickerson and Bobby Duncum. The Snowman and Porkchop Cash, The Bruise Brothers. Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, The Fabulous Ones. and unfortunately, Tommy and Johnny Rich.... The Rich Cousins. Now, we are set to present five more matches in the tournament, before our friends at Continental come at you tomorrow morning with the final matches of the first round. Then tomorrow evening we will move from the Sportatorium to the Reunion Arena for the second round of the tournament, and then we will be back there on Sunday afternoon for the remainder of the tournament and two huge championship matches. Don't worry Ladies and Gentleman, if you can't join us here in Texas, our friends at the USA Network will be carrying all of the action! Alright folks, that's enough talking from me, let's get to some action as the first round of the tournament continues! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Nightmares (Ken Wayne/Danny Davis) vs The Kansas Jayhawks (Dutch Mantell/Bobby Jaggers) w/Percival Pringle III- These four didn't waste any time with fancy lock ups or waiting for the bell to ring, they went right at it! The Jayhawks attempted to Pearl Harbor the Nightmares, but Percy screaming "Get 'Em, Get 'Em" may have given it away and The Nightmares caught them coming and we had a pier six brawl right off the bat. All four men spilled out to the floor and continued throwing punches and were nearly counted of the ring, but Wayne tossed Mantell back into the ring at the count of eighteen and they became the legal men. The match settled into a standard back and forth affair after that with both teams taking the advantage at different times. The Jayhawks nearly picked up a win just after the five minute mark after scoring with a double suplex on Danny Davis, but Ken Wayne broke up the pin. The Nightmares hit Mantell with a double back body drop around eight minutes in, and Ken Wayne made the cover, but Percy Pringle put the foot of Mantell on the bottom rope to save the match. The end came when Davis attempted to whip Jaggers into the ropes, but Jaggers reversed it and Pringle reached in to grab the leg of Davis but missed. Davis stomped down on the hand of Pringle who cried out in pain, then Jaggers charged in at Davis, who sidestepped him, and then when Jaggers rebounded off the ropes, Davis rolled him up for the One, Two, Three. Winners, advancing to Round 2: The Nightmares (Ken Wayne/Danny Davis) Marc Lowrance: One of the top teams from Continental Wrestling, Danny Davis and Ken Wayne, The Nightmares have advanced in the tournament and given Percy Pringle a sore hand in the process! There appears to be some dissension in the ranks of the Pringle Dynasty! Pringle is in the ring clutching his hand and stomping his feet as Mantell and Jaggers look pissed off at being caught with the roll up victory. Finally Pringle yells out "I told you two buffoons not to let me down!" Then he shoves Bobby Jaggers with his good hand. It only takes about half a second before Dutch Mantell lashes out with a right hand that knocks Pringle on his ample backside, and then Jaggers lands a kick to the face that lays Percy out flat in the center of the ring. Marc Lowrance: Well, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. The Jayhawk are out of the tournament, but I think they just made a whole lot of new fans. Ladies and Gentleman, we will be right back with more Texas All Star Wrestling! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back folks! Next up we have two popular tag teams going at it as The Technicians of Bob Roop and Brad Rheingans from the USWA meet Steve and Scott Armstrong from Continental. This should be an exciting match up of four fine athletes. Let's head down to the ring as the tournament continues. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Technicians (Brad Rheingans/Bob Roop) vs The Armstrongs (Steve Armstrong/Scott Armstrong)- This one began with all four men shaking hands in the center of the ring, and then turned immediately into a hotly contested tag team contest. Rheingans started off with Scott and appeared to be taking him a little lightly and came away a bit shocked when he was able to keep up with him on the mat. Roop was tagged in, as was Steve and the same thing happened with the Armstrongs proving that there father taught them well and that while the Technicians may be technical wrestling experts, the Armstrongs weren't just two punk kids. What followed was a fifteen minute master class in professional wrestling, with Roop and Rheingans digging deep into their arsenal of suplexes and amateur skills and submissions, while both Scott and Steve used the speed and athleticism they had over the other two men to their advantage to keep in the game. The end of the match came when Bob Roop being the cagey veteran that he is, changed the pace of everything as Scott Armstrong bent down for a back body drop. Instead of going over for a sunset flip, or around for a roll up as had been the ebb and flow of the rest of the match, Roop grabbed him, hooked him, and piledrove him right in the center of the ring. Roop then quickly covered for the One, Two, Three and the victory. After the match Scott and Steve looked momentarily angry, but then realized that they had learned a lesson from a veteran. Hand shakes all around again to end this one. Winners, advancing to Round 2: The Technicians (Brad Rheingans/Bob Roop) Marc Lowrance: My goodness Ladies and Gentleman! Those four men gave everything they had in there tonight! The Technicians come away with the victory, but Steve and Scott Armstrong have nothing to hang their heads over. That right there is what professional wrestling is all about! The tournament continues when we return! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling and the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament on KTVT and the USA Network! Up next we have the Continental team of Brad Armstrong and "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley as they take on the cross promotional team of "Champagne" Gerry Morrow and "Mr. Money" Carl Fergie along with the manager of Fergie, Slick. This team of Morrow and Fergie have been causing quite a stir, but Cooley and Armstrong are former champions. This should be quite a battle. Let's head down to the ring. 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley/Brad Armstrong vs "Champagne" Gerry Morrow/"Mr. Money" Carl Fergie w/Slick- Morrow and Fergie are quite the spectacle during their entrance, coming to the ring in matching suits, each drinking from a glass of champagne, and Morrow of course has the bottle with him. The Slickster is behind them looking like the cat that ate that canary, no doubt dreaming of all the money to be conned from.... I mean made with these two. As Brad and Wendell are ready for a fight, Morrow and Fergie take a significant amount of time disrobing to reveal matching green trunks with dollar signs on one butt cheek, and champagne glasses on the other. They then do the " No, after you" bit deciding who will go to the apron to start the match, and eventually Morrow concedes and Fergie heads into action against Cooley. For all the bluster at the beginning of the match, Armstrong and Cooley dominate this one from the opening bell! They work like a well oiled tag team machine as they cut off the ring, make quick tags, and just make life for Carl Fergie a living hell. Finally after what must have seemed like an eternity for Fergie, he was able to rake the eyes of Brad Armstrong and make the tag to Gerry Morrow. Unfortunately for Morrow, he didn't fare a whole lot better as Armstrong took him over with an arm drag as he came in and the Armstrong/Cooley team went back to work. The ending for this one came just past the twelve minute mark as Armstrong and Fergie were in the ring again, and Slick made his way around the ring away from his men and jumped up on the apron. The referee went over and was arguing with Slick to get off the apron, and soon Wendell Cooley made his way around the turnbuckle and was arguing with both Slick and the referee, and the ref was now being forced to keep the two of them apart. Brad didn't let this bother him and continued to grind down on a headlock on Fergie. Morrow grabbed the bottle of champagne and headed into the ring. He popped the cork and poured the liquid all over the head of Brad Armstrong, who let go of Fergie and stood up looking quite irate. Morrow flashed him a big smile and just tossed the bottle at him. Brad instinctively caught the bottle, as Morrow quickly got out of the ring. Fergie yelled out "NOO" and then threw himself backwards onto the mat where he landed with a loud thud and his arms splayed at his sides and with his eyes closed. Across the ring, Slick began jumping up and down and pointing for the referee to turn around. When he did, he saw Fergie laid out in the center of the ring and Brad Armstrong clutching a bottle in his hands. The referee immediately called for the Disqualification. Winners by Disqualification, advancing to Round 2: "Champagne" Gerry Morrow and "Mr. Money" Carl Fergie Marc Lowrance: This is ridiculous! Slick and Morrow are helping Fergie out of the ring and Fergie is acting like he can barely walk. Armstrong is pleading his case to the referee, but it would appear that Champagne and Mr. Money have stolen this one. Wow. I've seen a lot of low down things in my day, but this just might take the cake. Ladies and Gentleman, we'll be right back. -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Okay, we are back with more tournament action as the Sheepherders with Lord Jonathan Boyd all the way from New Zealand will take on the newest sensation here in Texas All Star Wrestling, "The Candyman" Ray Candy and "Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young, the team of Good and Plenty! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Sheepherders (Butch Miller/Luke Williams) w/Lord Jonathan Boyd vs Good & Plenty ("The Candyman" Ray Candy/"Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young)- Much like the opening match of the evening, this was a fight as soon as the bell rang. The Sheepherders jumped the much larger Candy at the bell and looked to be trying to get him out of the ring, but Sweet Brown Sugar started throwing dropkicks and it didn't take long until Miller and Williams were on the floor. The Sportatorium went absolutely bonkers when Candy lifted his own partner over his head and threw Skip Young over the top rope onto the pile of Miller, Williams, and Boyd on the floor sending them all sprawling!! Young and Candy stayed on the offensive taking it to Williams in the opening minutes using their combination of speed and power to wear him down with frequent tags and several unique double teams. Miller finally grew tired of this and snuck into the ring clobbering Young with a big shot to the back of the head, and then the Sheepherders took control and worked over Sweet Brown Sugar in their corner. The momentum swung back and forth like this several times with Good & Plenty regaining the advantage, and the Sheepherders cheating to take it back. The end came when Candy and Miller were the legal men, but all of them were brawling inside the ring, and then soon after all of them were brawling outside the ring. The referee was counting everyone out, then Miller and Young came back into the ring. Candy shoved Williams into the ring post and was heading back into the ring, when Lord Jonathan Boyd cracked him over the head with the flagpole. Candy collapsed into the ring apron, and the referee's count reached 20 before he could recover. Winners by Count Out, advancing to Round 2: The Sheepherders (Butch Miller/Luke Williams) Marc Lowrance: The Sheepherders will move on in the tournament thanks to outside interference from Lord Boyd, but my goodness that one was an absolute war from the moment it began. You have to wonder just how much The Sheepherders will have left tomorrow night after a fight like that. Okay Ladies and Gentleman, we still have our main event to come, but up next, oh my...it's The Fiesta Garden. -Commercial Break- As the show returns from break we are taken to the small stage away from the ring, where we see the four fake cacti, one at each corner of the stage, each of them wearing a sombrero. On the wall behind the stage is the Fiesta Garden banner that is done up in the colors of the Mexican flag and also has streamers and balloons attached to it. The two green director style chairs sit in the middle of the stage, one with Al Madril's name stenciled on it. Al is of course standing at the front of the stage with a huge smile on his face, behind the chairs dressed tonight in a stylish black karate gi, looking ready to kick some ass is Ron Slinker. Al Madril: Hola Mi Amigos!! This is it! We finally made it. The Fiesta Garden is officially debuting on the USA Network, and in a few short minutes no one is going to remember what old Britney... No. Barbara? No, that's not it. Bernice? Nope... Ron, do you remember? Al turns to Slinker with a big smile on his face, and Slinker just slightly shakes his head no. Al Madril: Ahhh. It doesn't matter. Now that The Fiesta Garden is on the USA Network, no one is going to want to listen some fake blonde, air head, bimbo ramble on about whatever. Because now they have the highest rated segment in the USWA, and the number one show in all of professional wrestling! For those of you who don't know, I am your host Alberto Madril, and the killing machine behind me is the twenty seven time karate champion known as Ron Slinker. Say Hello Ron! Al turns around with another big smile and looks at Slinker who continues to just stare at him. Madril covers the microphone with his hand, but we can still hear him say "I'll give you an extra hundred." Slinker rolls his eyes but leans forward to the microphone. Ron Slinker: Hello Ron. Al Madril: HEYYYY! All Right!! So tonight on The Fiesta Garden we... Before Madril can continue, former Texas All Star and current USWA competitor Lance Von Erich walks onto the stage wearing blue jeans and a polo shirt. He has a look of determination on his face, but Madril of course greets him with a grin. Ron Slinker steps forward to intercept him, but Madril waves him back. Al Madril: Heh. So you actually showed up. Alright kid, speak your peace. Lance Von Erich: Madril, every week you come out here and run your mouth, acting like an arrogant jerk and everyone is sick of it. The things that you've said about Brenda Britton are absolutely disgusting. Al Madril: You mean like when I called her fake, a rat, and insinuated that she was sleeping with someone to get her job? You think those kind of things are disgusting? Lance Von Erich: Yes, I do. I think most of the things you say on your stupid Fiesta Garden are just mean spirited crap! I think you think you're some kind of comedian, and I think you only say the things you do because you have someone backing you up all the time. Al Madril: Is that so? Lance Von Erich: Yeah. That's so. Al Madril: That's what you think? Lance Von Erich: That's what I think. Al Madril: Okay... Lance Von Erich, how about this..... Hey Slinker, take the rest of the night off. Slinker looks at Madril confused, but Al nods that he is absolutely sure. Slinker shrugs his shoulders and heads for the dressing room. Al Madril: Okay hotshot, since Brenda's got you all riled up to come out here, now's your chance. Try to score yourself a date! Lance Von Erich: Madril, I'm not an idiot. I know Brenda Britton is playing me with that Lancelot stuff. I know she doesn't care about me. But there was something she said, something that got me thinking, and it's the thing that made me come out here tonight. Al Madril: Oh Yeah? What was that? Lance Von Erich: She said that someone needed to put you in your place. She said that since it was going to be in Texas, it should be a Von Erich. She said that the Von Erich's are the toughest in all of Texas, and she said that there should be a Von Erich at this tournament. Al Madril: That's probably true! Did you bring one with you? Lance Von Erich: I.... what? Al Madril: I asked if you brought a Von Erich with you? Lance Von Erich: I am a Von Erich! Madril makes a "who are you kidding" face at Lance and back a few steps away from him. Al Madril: Really? Lance Von Erich: What do you mean really? Al Madril: Really! Lance Von Erich: What are you getting at Madril!! Al Madril: Really.... Lance Von Erich: Yes. Really. Al Madril: Wow. You are really going to play this to the end aren't you.... Okay, have it your way. Ron Slinker sneaks up from behind and grabs Lance Von Erich. Madril drop the microphone and moves in and the two of them wrestle him into one of the Fiesta Garden chairs. Madril produces a pair of handcuffs out of his jeans and they handcuff the hands of Lance Von Erich behind his back and shove a rag in his mouth to gag him, and then Slinker pretty much holds him down in the chair, as Lance continues to try to escape. Madril seems to have something in his hand as he goes back and gets his microphone. Al Madril: Okay! Now that you won't be interrupting me, we can continue! You asked what I was getting at? Well let me tell you, stupid gringo. You want to come on my Fiesta Garden and try to be a big hero. You want to try and make yourself look good at my expense. Well, let me tell you something Lance. You can't con a con man. I've been around Texas a long time. I knew David Von Erich, I used to team with Kevin and Kerry. So you want to try to get one over on me? Ain't happening essa. Cause all you people know, whether you like me or not, that I've been around the Von Erichs for a long time. You know how many times they ever mentioned Cousin Lance... Zero! You want to know why that is? Because there is no Cousin Lance! Never was, never will be. This guy shows up after Kevin and Kerry leave for New York, and after Mike gets sick and claims to be a Von Erich. All of you people were so desperate for a hero, for another Von Erich to cheer that you bought it hook, line, and sinker. But hey it wasn't just you! Morons like Brian Adias, Marc Lowrance, and Frank Dusek took him at face value too. He thought he had the whole thing right where he wanted it.... You were doing great Lance. But then you made the mistake of crossing Alberto Madril, so now the charade is all over. We can now see that the thing in the hands of Madril is the wallet of Lance Von Erich that he apparently picked out of his pocket during the scuffle. Madril opens it, pulls out the cash which he stuffs into his pocket, and then pulls out something else before tossing the wallet over his shoulder. Al Madril: Camera man, do me a favor and pull in here real close on Lance Von Erichs wrestling license. The camera pans in and we can see that the name on the license reads Richard Vaughan. After several moments, Madril turns toward the man in the chair and flicks the license at him. Al Madril: So Richard Vaughan, now that the whole world knows you're a dirty liar, do you still want to pretend to be so high and mighty... Lancelot! Ron Slinker lets "Lance Von Erich" go, after which he struggles to spit out the rag, and turns to looks at the eerily quiet Sportatorium crowd. Madril steps forward with a huge shit eating grin on his face and holds the microphone in front of the face of Vaughan who mutters the words "I'm Sorry" before heading, still handcuffed quickly away from the stage and out of the building. Madril busts out laughing and Slinker stands stone faced. Al Madril: Well, there you have it Ladies and Gentleman! Ricky Vaughan is sorry that he lied to all of you and pretended to be a Von Erich! I think we're done here! Good Night from The Fiesta Garden!! -Commercial Break- Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Texas All Star Wrestling. I'm going to be honest with you in that I don't know what to say about what we just saw. Apparently the man we have known as Lance Von Erich is not really a Von Erich, but seeing that the information came from Al Madril, it's hard to take anything as fact. I'm sure more will come of this in the weeks to follow. In the meantime, it is now time for what will be our main event this evening here on Texas All Star Wrestling, and oh my it is a doozy. Not only is it a tournament match, but it is also a follow up to what happened at our Seasons Beatings show back in December when The Funk Brothers and The Gunlingers met in singles competition. On that night Terry Funk got himself intentionally disqualified against Johnny Mantell, and then later in the night as Dory Funk challenged Scott Casey for the Texas Heavyweight Title, Terry attacked Casey with a branding iron, then Sunshine attacked Terry Funk. When Dory was trying to stop Sunshine from clawing out Terry's eyes, Mantell hit the ring and clobbered Dory with the branding iron, allowing Casey to pick up the victory. Needless to say, these four men are chomping at the bit to get their hands back on one another, so let's head down to the ring where this one is already about to boil over! 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Funk Brothers (Terry Funk/Dory Funk Jr) vs The Gunslingers (Scott Casey/Johnny Mantell) w/Sunshine- This started with Terry Funk trying to goad Sunshine into attacking him, but Casey and Mantell were able to hold her back. She did shoot him the bird, which the camera had to quickly cut away from. Dory and Mantell started the match and things were actually fairly technical while they were in the ring. Dory attempting to work over the leg of Johnny, and Mantell showing that he knew the holds and countering Funk much to his chagrin. Eventually Dory got mad and started throwing European style uppercuts that rocked Mantell, and then snapped him over with a butterfly suplex. Dory tagged in Terry, and then things began the slow descent into chaos. The Funker went right into blasting Mantell with a series of left handed punches to the face, and then as he wound up for a big right hand, Mantell kicked him in the stomach and started blasting away with his own punches. Johnny rocked Terry backwards with several quick shots, and Funk fell backwards so he was sitting on the middle rope. Mantell blasted him with another right, and Terry began rocking back and forth on the ropes like a see saw with each punch. Eventually he tumbled backwards out of the ring to the floor, and Mantell went over and tagged in Scott Casey. After stumbling around on the floor for a bit, Terry Funk rolled back in and tagged Dory. Dory and Casey went at it for a bit, and things remained pretty even between them. After several minutes of battling, neither seemed to be able to maintain an advantage, but Casey whipped Dory into the ropes and went for a clothesline. Dory was able to duck it and on the rebound attempted a clothesline of his own. The result was both connecting with a clothesline and going down in the center of the ring. Soon the crawl was on, and both men reached their corners at nearly the same time and made tags! Terry Funk and Johnny Mantell both came into the ring like wild men, throwing haymakers and in a battle of punches, Terry Funk had the edge. When Mantell was wobbling, Terry grabbed him and turned him around, delivering a devastating hangmans neckbreaker. Terry measured him and dropped an elbow, then got up and dropped another one. Sunshine was banging on the apron urging Mantell to get up, so Terry took a detour to throw a kick at her that missed, and then he called her a Cow. Funk headed back over and pulled Mantell off the canvas by the hair, and took him over with a suplex. With a smile on his face, Terry walked around the prone Mantell and lifted his leg and began to stomp on the knee joint. Each time he did this, he would turn to Sunshine and scream "MOOO" at her, then stomp down on Mantell. Finally he grabbed hold of the leg and looked like he was going to go for the Spinning Toe Hold, but again he turned to Sunshine and yelled, only this time it was "I'm going to break his leg you Heffer!" Funk then turned back and spun around with the Spinning Toe Hold, however Johnny Mantell popped up and hooked the head of Terry Funk and rolled him down into a cradle, hooking his leg on the way through!! The referee dropped quickly down and counted One, Two, Three!! Winners: The Gunslingers (Scott Casey/Johnny Mantell) Terry Funk kicks out a split second after the three, and comes to a sitting position with a look of absolute shock on his face. Johnny Mantell quickly rolls out of the ring and joins Sunshine and Scott Casey on the arena floor as the Sportatorium is going absolutely nuts! Dory Funk Jr is shaking his head in the corner as Terry Funk starts throwing a fit in the ring, and drops the referee with a big left hand. His anger is only compounded when he gets too close to the ropes, and Sunshine takes a pitcher of water that was on the timekeepers table and hurls it at him. The Gunslingers and Sunshine head away from the ringside area as Terry Funk hangs over the top rope, with his feet kicking in the air, trying to get at them. Marc Lowrance: It is pandemonium in the Sportatorium! The Gunslingers have eliminated the USWA World Heavyweight Champion from the tournament! We are nearly out of time, so be sure to tune in tomorrow morning when our friends from Continental Wrestling will finish out the first round of the David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament from right here in the Sportatorium, and then tomorrow night at the Reunion Arena and live on the USA Network for the Second Round. Ladies and Gentleman, that's all for Texas All Star Wrestling this week. We thank you so much for joining us, for those of you who watch us on KTVT, we'll see you in two weeks for our next show. Until then, I'm Marc Lowrance, Good Night Everyone.
  22. Would it be possible for one of us that uses the Armchair Booking forum on a frequent basis to be assigned the powers to moderate just that forum? There are several threads in the Dawn of War forum that need to be locked. The folks you made the 1981 sub-folder for, are using the Millenium Project folder instead, so those two could be merged, etc.
  23. BEGINNING TONIGHT AND CONTINUING ALL WEEKEND...... AND THE PROUDLY PRESENT.... 3 COMPANIES! 32 TEAMS! 1 TROPHY! AND 1OO THOUSAND DOLLARS! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!!!!
  24. Appreciate the HTM stuff. I know the two of them are.....not fond of one another. So it should be very entertaining. A modern interview with Jimmy Crockett would be something I would definitely be interested in hearing about.
  25. Right? How brainwashed with this crap do you have to be not to be able to shut your mouth when you are making fucking Star Wars money.
