  1. Oh, I know. But I rooted for her in her previous seasons, so I can't stop now. If not her, I think Ethan is my second choice. I've been watching since Season 1, and I still find myself liking the earlier winners better. I just find them more memorable. I'm starting to think we'd better start a Survivor thread!
  2. Look's like they are dropping 10 classic ECW show's on the Network tomorrow. Super Summer Sizzler '93, Ultra Clash '93, Heatwave '94, Tag Wars '94, Double Tables '95, Return of the Funker, Hostile City Showdown '95, Enter the Sandman, Barbed Wire, Hoodies, and Chokeslams, and Heatwave '95 Pretty excited for Barbed Wire, Hoodies, and Chokeslams. That show has the angle where 911 destroys "Jungle" Jim Steele with chokeslam after chokeslam as the crowd gleefully chants "Five More Times", "Four More Times" and on and on, as Paul E. dedicates each choke slam to Vince, and Bischoff, and I forget who else. I don't know if it still holds up, but I remember loving that shit in the 90's!
  3. Not that you asked me, but since I watched it instead of either wrestling show too, I thought I'd chip in #TeamParvati
  4. That'd be the only thing I can think of. This is the big all winners season, so it could have potentially drawn quite an audience.
  5. C'mon now, it sounds so much better than "Girl who was in WWE like 10 years ago"
  6. Really fun Riho/Shoko Nakajima match to open Dark this week. Worth the time to check out. Very fun match and the crowd was into it. Unfortunately they followed it up with a Jimmy Havoc match, who may be my least favorite person on the whole roster. I feel like they could be doing something more with Sonny Kiss than jobbing to this loser. Then they teased a feud between Jimmy Havoc and Luther! I'd rather buy a pay per view of cars rusting or paint drying than watch that. Match 3 saw Hikaru Shida who may be my favorite female on the roster taking on a much bigger, much greener newcomer named Cassandra Golden. I really wish they'd stop having Shida work all of these fringe girls and get her back in the mix. This was okay, but the talent difference was glaring. Dark Order/Jurassic Express is the Main Event (No Luchasaurus) and I had to stop watching before this got started.
  7. Today's episode on Superbrawl 2 is worth a listen, but holy hell the Van Hammer story is amazing and makes it a must hear.
  8. Anyone catch Mauro say "North American Ti...Championship" so apparently even Mauro isn't immune to Vince's forbidden words.
  9. The other problem with the "Cornette is just working" talk, is that usually when you are "working" the other people involved are part of the work. I don't think Joey Ryan, or The Young Bucks, or Dave Meltzer, or Kenny Omega are in on it. I don't disagree with Cornette about this latest thing. Flair/Steamboat is timeless, while Omega/Okada will likely be forgotten the next time a 7 star classic happens. But the toxic attitude, whether work or shoot has gotten over the top. If you hate modern wrestling, stop paying attention to it, and talk about what you love. Life is too fucking short to be that pissed off.
  10. I think Jake Atlas just made his debut at an NXT House Show in the last few weeks.
  11. This apparently in reference to Meltzer saying that Omega/Okada is a bigger draw and better match than Flair/Steamboat.
  12. Chiefs fan since the early 90's and I gotta tell you, he may not end up as the GOAT in the NFL, but God Damn this kid is something special. Been waiting a LONG time for last night!! Sounds like Raw might be in for some impressively low attendance!!
  13. Dark Spoiler for Next Week Between that and the Brandi Rhodes therapy video they uploaded to YouTube where it looks like they are going to blame her character change on a head injury sustained when a Cody dive knocked her into the guard rail, maybe they are finally killing off The Nightmare Collective
  14. I'm still plugging along watching the weekly episodes of World Class on the Network, and today I got to the 12/1/84 episode which contains the Terry Gordy/Killer Khan Texas Death Match, and before the show a TV-MA warning on a black screen with bright red letters came up warning me about the explicit nature of the program I was about to watch. There was also stern sounding audio reading the warning to me as well. I don't know if this is new, but I have certainly never seen it before. Just thought it was kind of interesting, that such a stern warning now apparently has to accompany a bloody match.
  15. I think the best thing I've seen regarding the Rumble is a tweet that said something to the effect of "You're all mad that Brock Lesnar is doing this Royal Rumble the same way that you do it on a video game."
  16. I am absolutely shocked that Corbin didn't come out of that port-a-potty covered in fake shit, while Vince's laughter filled the arena.
  17. Between that and Aichner limping at the end, Imperium took a beating in that one. I feel like there is so much they could do with Walter beyond NXT UK, but I guess it will come down to if Walter wants too, since he seems pretty happy working indies and training guys on top of his minimal WWE work, and if they can get the right people behind that push if he were interested, cause I can see the Vince and Dunn types not getting it.
  18. Yeesh, Wolfe looked out of it.
  19. Her half crying promo came off very fake, and they can only exploit her story for so long before the fans either stop caring or turn on it.
  20. It is a good question why Dusty got a tag team tournament. I guess maybe they didn't want to bring back the Bunkhouse Stampede. At least the Dusty/Nikita team had a reason behind it.
  21. Dude, Joey Styles was so much better than Mauro in every possible way. While I admit he didn't quite fit in anywhere else, Joey was the perfect voice for ECW and what it represented at that time. Mauro just yells whatever the official Fire Pro name for the move being executed is and tries to shoehorn in whatever dated pop culture reference he can vaguely tie in to whatever nonsense he is going on about. In other things I would like to bitch about today.... It appears that Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne are going to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic next week. While I like both guys, what the fuck is the point of dedicating a tag team tournament to Dusty Rhodes, and then having a thrown together team of singles guys win it? Seriously, look at the previous winners: Balor and Joe, Authors of Pain, Undisputed Era, Aleister Black and Ricochet, and now most likely Dunne and Riddle. Three thrown together tag teams, 1 actual tag team, and while Undisputed Era is regularly a team, this was Cole and O'Reilly who don't normally team, and they weren't even in the fucking tournament when it started! If they want thrown together teams, just bring back Battle Bowl and dedicate it to Dusty already!
  22. So the Rumble is 6 days away and so far we have 4 women announced for the Women's Royal Rumble. Revolutionary

  25. Is the footage of Jim Crockett Jr's attempted revival of the NWA in 94/95 at the Sportatorium out there and available?
