If anyone has use for a 6'10" 400 plus pounder, I have Plowboy Frazier/Uncle Elmer on the block. He is priced to move!!
-
Brilliant booking all around leading to Terry Funk picking up the Continental Title. This war with The Armstrongs just continues to get more entertaining.
-
Looking forward to seeing just what kind of trouble Adnan has in store for Stampede! I'm sure Bobby Heenan is upset about not being at ringside, but with Flair's skill and Heenan's Brain, they'll find a way.

A Jayhawks/Adonis&Murdoch match to open the show? Well, I know what seat I'm not leaving!!! Landell shows up in TNT, and is already stirring the pot. I love it! Gary Young vs DJ Peterson is like my mid-card dream!! Wells and The Fabs better watch it. You can't stop The Movement!! Ayala's a tough dude, but he's biting off a lot. Curt and Tully is gonna be a great fight....or an even better team....hmm Go Art Crews!! Lawler/Dundee is gonna be fun. That card for Friday night is stacked!!!

-Broadcasting live to our local affiliates in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as in Syndication across these great United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents World Class Wrestling, coming to you this week from the Irish McNeil Boys Club in Shreveport, Louisiana!- Jim Ross: Hello Ladies and Gentleman, and welcome to AWA World Class Wrestling! I'm Jim Ross and joining me as always is "Cowboy" Bill Watts. We've got quite a night of action for you as we'll see the AWA World Tag Team Champions The Movement and Iceman Parsons in six man tag team action against Brian Adias and The Youngbloods. Kevin Von Erich will be in action. Gary Hart has promised to debut another wrestler here tonight, and we will see the World Class Tag Team Champions The Midnight Express defend those titles against the surging team of Jim Powers and Joe Savoldi in our main event. Bill Watts: Savoldi and Powers are a young talented team, and they have racked up an impressive series of wins. But tonight they are taking on one of the best teams in the business. It is definitely going to be a uphill climb for them, especially with that loud mouth Cornette at ringside. Jim Ross: It is quite the opportunity for them Bill, and I expect they'll make the most of it. Let's head down to the ring for our first match, where young Sam Houston is set for competition. 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Sam Houston vs Ali Bey- This was a nice little showcase for Houston against Bey who outweighed him by nearly fifty pounds. Bey overpowered him several times in the opening minute or so, but after that Houston used his speed and smarts to keep his opponent off his game. Houston ducked a shoddy clothesline attempt by Bey and caught him with a Bulldog on the rebound for the three count. Winner: Sam Houston Marc Lowrance is waiting for Sam Houston as he exits the ring. Marc Lowrance: A nice win in there tonight. What's next for Sam Houston? Sam Houston: Thank You Marc! You know, these last few months I've been fighting alongside Barry Windham against Jimmy Garvin and them guys. But with Young gone, and Barry fixing to send John Tatum packing next week, I feel like I can finally focus on where Sam Houston is going. So I'm gonna keep on picking up wins like here tonight, and then I am gonna go after that Southwestern Title. I don't like this goofy Honky Tonk Man, so I figure if I can knock his block off and win a title, that's two birds with one stone! Yeah! Houston pumps his fist and raises his hands in the air, much to the delight of the young ladies in the audience. Marc Lowrance nods as we cut back to the announce position. Jim Ross: Young Sam Houston gets on the winning track, and he has his sights set on the Honky Tonk Man. Bill Watts: Well Jim, last week we saw The Honky Tonk Man defend the Southwestern Championship against Kerry Von Erich, and....well.....let's roll the footage.... Von Erich went to the floor to retrieve his opponent. CRASH!! As soon as Kerry's feet hit the floor, The Honky Tonk Man who had been kneeling down, came to his feet and smashed his guitar over the head of Von Erich. It splintered into pieces, and Kerry crashed to the floor in a heap as the crowd went from elation to anger. James Beard immediately called for the bell, as Sunshine grabbed the Southwestern belt and along with "Honky Tonk Man" Wayne Ferris got out of town while the getting was still good. Bill Watts: Honky Tonk Ferris purposefully got himself disqualified when he was getting beaten by Kerry Von Erich. Not only that, he did it by smashing a guitar over the head of Von Erich. Kerry suffered several lacerations, but thankfully did not get a concussion. Jim Ross: Now, according to Ferris, he had a totally different reason for doing what he did. Let's roll that footage. A video plays of "Honky Tonk Man" Wayne Ferris standing in front of an AWA World Class Wrestling backdrop. He is wearing large gold sunglasses, a shirt that looks like something out of a bad cowboy movie (complete with fringe), and what can best be described as leather bell bottoms. Both hands are adorned with way too many rings, and as always his hair is perfect. "After my match last week I heard Tim Roth and Cowpoke Waits saying that I played a tune on the head of ole Horseface Von Erich because I was getting beat. C'mon Now! That couldn't be farther from the truth if it was in Japan Ladies and Gentleman, and I should know cause they love The Honky Tonk Man in Japan! Anyhow, I was out there trying to have a good clean wrassling match with Kerry, and he was fighting dirty like them Von Erich's are known to do. He kept poking my eyes, and trying to hit me below the belt, and things like that. So I was getting a little upset because The Honky Tonk Man absolutely doesn't condone that kind of thing, cause like my Sunshine always says, cheaters never win! Then that Von Erich started pulling my hair. Now Ladies and Gentleman, I know you probably can't tell it by looking at me, but The Honky Tonk Man is pretty proud of his hair! I know, I know, it's probably hard to believe that a humble fella like me could be prideful or vain like that, but it's true! Anyway, Kerry Von Erich started jerking me around by my hair, and then when I tried to make sure that he hadn't ripped it out, he kicked me out of the ring. So when Kerry Von Erich came out of the ring to continue attacking me, I took my guitar and I played the blues right across his head, 'cause I was sick and tired of him cheating...and the referee allowing it to happen! I wasn't going to let my Southwestern Title getting stolen by a crooked referee and a Von Erich in Dallas! I saw the writing on the wall! So I took my title, my Sunshine, and I left! That's what happened Ladies and Gentleman. Thank Ya for listening, you're a beautiful audience!" Jim Ross: Well, that's certainly an interesting take on the events of last week. Bill Watts: You think so Tim? Jim Ross: Ha! Let's take our first break Cowpoke! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -"Cowboy" Bob Orton w/Paul Jones vs Brody Chase- Orton made short work of his over matched opponent here in his World Class debut. Right out of the gate he attacked him with elbow strikes and clubbing forearms across the back. Then he took him to the ground and wrenched on a headlock and dropped knees on his head. Finally Orton put him on the top rope and hit his patented Superplex to score the victory. Winner: "Cowboy" Bob Orton Marc Lowrance is waiting on Bob Orton as he exits the ring. Marc Lowrance: Bob Orton, Paul Jones. Firstly, both of you, welcome to World Class Wrestling. Second, Bob Orton, congratulations on your win tonight. Paul Jones: Marc Lowrance! Paul Jones has brought his Army to World Class Wrestling, and everyone had better be prepared for war! Tonight you saw Bob Orton Jr make his debut, and soon enough you'll see the other men who have joined with me! Tell them about it Cowboy! Bob Orton: While I appreciate your kind words Marc Lowrance, let's just cut to the chase. That man in there tonight was a bum. I didn't come all the way here to wrestle bums. I came to World Class Wrestling to wrestle the best. I came to World Class Wrestling to make a lot of money, and to win championships. Namely the Central States Championship, and right now that is held by a man named Barry Windham. Windham, you're a good wrestler, and I've seen you using my superplex and you do it pretty well. But I'm a great wrestler, and I am the master of the superplex. So you take care of John Tatum next week, then you start thinking about Bob Orton. Cause I'm coming for your title Windham. Orton and Jones walk away as the crowd boo's them, and Marc Lowrance throws it back to the announce team. Jim Ross: "Cowboy" Bob Orton has arrived here in World Class Wrestling, with Paul Jones at his side, and he has Barry Windham and the Central States Title on his mind. Bill Watts: Orton has been around this business for a long time. He is a tough, grizzled veteran, and Windham had better watch his back. Jim Ross: Folks, up next we are going to have ourselves a six man tag team match, and there is bad blood with all six men. The Movement have targeted Brian Adias for seemingly no reason, and matters only got worse when Iceman Parson returned and aligned with Adias, only to turn on him and join The Movement. The Youngbloods got tired of seeing Adias being double and triple teamed and came to his aid. Then days after Whatley and Conway pulled off the ultimate screw job and stole the AWA World Tag Team Titles from The Road Warriors, Mark Youngblood pinned Shaska Whatley in a six man tag team match! Bill Watts: Pretty much ever since that match, Whatley and Conway have been traveling all over the United States defending those titles, while Adias and The Youngbloods have been chomping at the bit to get another crack at them. Jim Ross: Here comes The Movement to the ring, and it looks like they have something to say. Bill Watts: Wonderful.... The three members of The Movement hit the center of the ring and all throw a fist into the air as the Louisiana crowd is about 50/50 on them. Conway's afro has gotten huge, and the Fu Manchu mustache is quite full. Shaska Whatley has grown in a full beard and shaved his head. Both men are wearing camouflage pants and have the AWA World Tag Team Titles strapped around their waists. Iceman Parsons has his regular braided hair and goatee, but is wearing all back tights and black sunglasses. Tiger Conway has the microphone... Tiger Conway Jr: I was at the bottom. Out here every week, stuck in a tag team with an old, broken down, never was named Charlie Cook. I didn't even know that brotha, but some old white dudes saw two brothas they didn't want nothing to do with, so there we was. Then one day I had enough, and I knocked Charlie Cook's old tired ass out, and they had to take notice. Ohhh, you can be sure they didn't want too, but they HAD TOO! When I first started talking, they told me to keep my mouth shut. When I first started talking, they told me there wasn't no spot for me. WELL I KEPT TALKING, AND LOOK WHERE WE AT NOW!! Conway takes off the AWA World Tag Team Title around his waist and holds it into the air. Tiger Conway Jr: Yeah, we had to lose some soldiers along the way, but no Movement begins without sacrifice. Now that I have my main man Shaska by my side, and we have the General, Iceman King Parsons to lead the way, this Movement can turn into what it was always meant to become, a revolution! Shaska Whatley: Ha, Ha, Ha! Tiger speaks the truth my brothers! He and I have been traveling all across this land defending our World Tag Team Titles, and the Movement is growing!! Down in Alabama, we have The Bruthahood! Koko, Norvell, Brickhouse... keep fighting the good fight brothers! Up in the Rocky Mountains, we have an original if there ever was one, Ernie Ladd! Big Cat!! Keep showing them what for up there! Then up in Canada, where everything is white! Bad News Allen showed us that even a man who has no friends of any kind, understands what The Movement is all about. Iceman King Parsons: So Brian Adias, that brings us to you Sucka! You think you've been wronged by us. Well let me tell you something cracka, you don't know the first thing about being wronged. Now, your Indian friends, they might have some idea, but they stuck there noses in the wrong place at the wrong time. So why don't you three bring your asses down to our ring, and we'll show you why The Movement is taking over the wrestling bidness! -Commercial Break- 1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit -The Movement (Iceman King Parsons/Tiger Conway Jr/Shaska Whatley) vs Brian Adias/The Youngbloods (Jay Youngblood/Mark Youngblood)- These six wasted no time once they hit the ring, brawling as soon as the bell rang. Parsons and Adias were especially vicious with one another, going out to the floor and smashing each other into the ring apron and the guard rail. It eventually settled down enough that the referee didn't throw the whole thing out, but tempers continued to flare, and several times multiple men were brawling. The end came during one such moment when Jay Youngblood and Tiger Conway were the legal men, and Adias and Parsons had both entered the ring again. The referee was busy trying to get them out of the ring and failed to notice Shaska Whatley enter the ring with one of the AWA World Tag Team Titles, which he used to clock Jay Youngblood in the head. Mark Youngblood quickly entered the ring and caught Whatley with a huge dropkick that sent him flying out of the ring. Mark grabbed the AWA Title, and used it to smash Tiger Conway who was now covering Jay in the back of the head! Mark tossed the belt out of the ring, rolled Jay on top of Conway, and then quickly exited the ring. The referee finally got away from Adias and Parsons, turned around to see Jay Youngblood covering Tiger Conway Jr and counted the One, Two, Three! Winners: Brian Adias and The Youngbloods Jim Ross: Adias and The Youngbloods pick up the win by using some of The Movement's own tactics against them! Bill Watts: I like it Jim! They tried to cheat The Youngbloods out of that one, and it bit 'em in the butt! Jim Ross: Conway doesn't know what hit him, but Parsons and Whatley are fuming. This one is far from over Ladies and Gentlemen. Bill Watts: Serves them right. Jim Ross: We'll be right back folks! -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: We are back, and last week we saw Gary Hart return to World Class Wrestling with The Great Kabuki. He promised that this week, another of his associates would be here, so let's head to the ring and see just who that might be. 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Kamala w/Gary Hart & Friday vs Mike Reed- Kamala was absolutely brutal in his return to World Class, running over Mike Reed in less than 60 seconds. A couple of big overhands chops to the head, a huge kick to the chest, and a Big Splash that there was no getting up from. Winner: Kamala Marc Lowrance is standing by with Gary Hart as Kamala exits the ring and Friday brings him over to the interview position. Marc Lowrance: Gary Hart, last week you promised to return with another associate, and I must say you've certainly delivered. "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala certainly left a path of destruction the last time he appeared here. Gary Hart: He most certainly did Marc Lowrance, and the thing you need to remember is that when he was here before his affairs were being handled by that idiot Akbar! Now with a man such as myself guiding his career, imagine the things we will do to anyone who stands in our way. Marc Lowrance: I was going to ask you about that. The last time we saw Kamala and Kabuki together here in World Class, they were fighting one another. Gary Hart: Again, the fault of an idiot who doesn't understand how to deal with great men such as this Ugandan Warrior, such as The Great Kabuki. I assure you Marc Lowrance that any animosity that may have existed between them was a product of Akbar's ignorance and is now simply water under the bridge. Marc Lowrance: There are still people who want to know whether there was collusion between yourself and Nick Bockwinkel regarding the interference of The Great Kabuki in the cage matc... Gary Hart: I've told you Marc Lowrance, while I greatly respect Nick Bockwinkel, he and I have never personally been introduced. What Kabuki did in that cage was the choice of The Great Kabuki. I won't answer this question again. So unless you have something else, we will take our leave. Marc Lowrance: Do you have any further associates? Gary Hart: Now that Marc Lowrance is a good question! Hart smiles, then nods his head to signal Friday and Kamala, and walks away from Marc Lowrance. Friday herds Kamala after him. Jim Ross: What the heck does that mean Bill? Bill Watts: I don't know Jim. I'm telling you, you can't trust this guy. If he tells you there is water in the ocean, I advise you to go and check. Jim Ross: With both Kamala and Kabuki by his side, Gary Hart is a very dangerous man here in World Class Wrestling for sure. Bill Watts: Let's get our last break in before loud mouth gets out here. Jim Ross: Heh. Fans, we'll be right back. -Commercial Break- Jim Cornette: Loud mouth? But Ross has been out here the whole show Watts! You getting senile, or can you just not see anything around that big stupid hat? It doesn't matter, because right now I would like to introduce to you the AWA World Class Tag Team Champions, the men who make all the women blush, and all the men cuss, Loverboy Dennis and Beautiful Bobby, The Midnight Express!! 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette vs Jim Powers/Joe Savoldi- AWA World Class Tag Team Titles The opening minutes of this contest went surprisingly in the favor of Powers and Savoldi who flew all over the place and had Bobby Eaton rocking and reeling. Cornette looked like he was about to faint on the floor, and Condrey was trying to get in the ring, but the referee was on task and kept him out. Eaton finally got on the offense when he cut Savoldi off with an eye rake, and Condrey got tagged in and went to work. The Midnights took over from there and maintained control for the next several minutes, until Dennis went for a backdrop, but Savoldi countered with a sunset flip for two. Savoldi was able to make the tag, and Powers came in like a man possessed and fired punches at both Bobby and Dennis. Powers caught Eaton with a dropkick that sent him out of the ring, and was able to nail Condrey with a huge Powerslam soon after that may have ended the match, but Eaton grabbed the foot of Powers from the floor and yanked him out of the ring. Bobby shoved Powers into the guard rail, and then slid back into the ring to help Dennis with Savoldi who had jumped in to attack him. While the referee was trying to get both members of The Midnight Express off of Savoldi, he failed to see Jim Cornette jam the handle of the Tennis Racket into the throat of Jim Powers as he was nearly back in the ring. As the referee got Savoldi out of the ring, Eaton quickly exited and tossed Powers back in. Condrey nailed Powers with a Full Nelson Faceslam, then tagged Eaton. Condrey charged across the ring and knocked Savoldi off the apron, while Bobby delivered a Flying Legdrop and covered Powers for the One, Two, Three. Winners, and still AWA World Class Tag Team Champions: The Midnight Express Jim Cornette and The Midnight Express head toward the announce position after the match with big smiles on all of their faces. Bill Watts: Proud of yourself aren't you? Jim Cornette: Well of course we are! It's always a pleasure to come out here on national television and show everyone and my Mother that we are the best tag team in the whole world, and why I'm the best manager in the whole world! Bill Watts: Well good, you can show them again in two weeks. Jim Cornette: We didn't agree to any... Bill Watts: Doesn't matter, the Board of Directors already signed it. In two weeks, you will defend those titles again. Jim Cornette: AGAINST WHO! Bill Watts: The Islanders. Jim Cornette: WHAT!! NO!!! Bill Watts: and Mr. Cornette.... Jim Cornette: ..... Bill Watts: You won't be at ringside alone.....YOU'LL BE HANDCUFFED TO ME!!! Cornette's eyes get as wide as dinner plates as he backs away from Watts nearly falling into the arms of Bobby and Dennis. Eaton and Condrey look angry as they drag the terrified Cornette out of the studio. Jim Ross: You enjoyed that didn't you Cowboy? Bill Watts: A whole lot. Jim Ross: Not only will The Midnight Express defend the World Class Tag Titles against The Islanders in two weeks folks, that very same night the AWA has signed The Movement to defend the AWA World Tag Team Titles against Jay and Mark, The Youngbloods! Two huge Tag Title matches on the same night. Bill Watts: It doesn't get much bigger folks. Jim Ross: and don't forget next week, when Barry Windham defends the Central States Title against "Hollywood" John Tatum in a match where Tatum has agreed to leave World Class until after Christmas if he doesn't bring home the gold. Bill Watts: That'll be a fight for sure. Jim Ross: Until next week Ladies and Gentleman, Good Night!

Mauro was very toned down in week 2. He was still Mauro, but it certainly wasn't week 1

Is Maddin the ex-NFL guy that got hurt?
-
Hmmm...... Dory Jr could be an interesting addition in these parts! Embry excels in bloody wars, so him coming out on top of Bulba makes sense. He'll keep fighting until Ladd kills him! Shocked to see King take the win on Baker. We'll see if the rematch plays out the same way. Sheik and Volkoff are an awesome fit here. So much heat for their shtick! Adams had now drawn the ire of a Von Erich that can beat his ass. He may regret his bravado now! Movement retain thanks to Sheik and Volkoff!! Atlas and Sheik is a ready made feud. Looking forward to it! That Captain's Tag sounds awesome, and would have been quite the treat for the fans. Mulligan looks strong as hell! Let's see if he can turn the momentum into a title victory!! Great Show!!

I've been singing the praises of Keith Lee for a long time, but man, if WWE doesn't elevate this guy and do something with him they are really missing out. A guy that size with that kind of talent, and charisma to boot. I know his age is working against him, that's why I hope they don't spin wheels like they do on every thing else.
-
Oh Man, Texas Red has aligned with Billy Jack! Haynes may finally have the help he needs! Roberts is awesome here, and I can't wait until he inevitably runs into Buddy Rose. That power struggle should be fun. Cocky Terry Taylor is great, and a fun slow build. Nord/Hogan should be a fun battle of the big men.

I mean, c'mon guys, that mask is pretty creepy, and it was dark. I think it's fair to say that most grown, athletic men who have been (supposedly) trained to fight other grown, athletic men on a weekly basis would be cowering in fear. But it'll all be okay, cause in a couple weeks when he tacks "The Fiend Slayer" onto that list of nicknames, ratings are gonna shoot the roof, and AEW is gonna go out of business.
-
The inevitable Hennig/Blanchard match is going to be awesome. Loved The Movement going for Wells, and definitely look forward to their clash with The Fabs I like Valiant switching things up with his men. You manage to keep your whole roster interesting from top to bottom. Brito/Parisi and The Enforcers continue to go at it. These four just don't like each other! Man, I really want Art Crews to beat Austin Idol.... Shaw/Tsuruta is another feud turning nasty! LLT Match between Enforcers and Brito/Parisi! Nice!! Lawler saves Dundee, that might have been a mistake! Big tag set up for next week! But....can they trust each other!!
-
The Brad Armstrong/Ted Dibiase match on the house show would have been quite the classic. Holy Crap, that Terry Funk/Bullet segment was GOLD. You have Funk down to a science, the cadence, the speech patterns. Awesome job. Nice debuts for The Fantastics and Smothers, although Tracey may want to avoid the Ninja! New Champion Coming!! Be interesting to see how we get there! Thanks Uncle Terry!! Von Raschke with Akbar is a good fit, and it will be interesting to see who Gang found to help him out. The Funker declares war on all of The Armstrongs....oh, this is going to be fun!! and we head to the Civic Center.... Muraco is on a roll, and has to be a serious contender for the title. I told Smothers to stay away from the Ninja! Oh Damn! Ron Garvin shows up to help the Gang! Here comes Lars and Bugsy, we have a nice little war brewing now! Madril secures a title shot against Street. The Fiesta Garden would look lovely with some gold in it. Wow, that Herders/Grapplers match must have been a cheating little affair. That would have been fun to see! Fantastics take the belts from the Stable!! Bobby and Tommy are wasting no time here!! and Terry steals the show again!! God Damn, what a way to close out the night. I can't wait to see where all of this going. Good Stuff Gene.

I love that Harley Race has pretty much become the Godfather of Georgia, and everyone is either gunning for him, or paying him respect. Saito is so hyper focused on Reed. He is either going to run him over, or cost himself his chance. Pringle managing the David/Beefcake/Haystacks faction is a great addition. Candy and Brown calling out their old pals The Movement. I am looking forward to that one!

-Broadcasting live to our local affiliates in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as in Syndication across these great United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents World Class Wrestling, coming to you this week from the Sportatorium in Dallas!- As the show opens we find Marc Lowrance already standing in the ring with World Class Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel and his associate Big John Studd. Marc Lowrance: Nick Bockwinkel, last week you defended the AWA World Class Heavyweight Title inside of a steel cage against Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. You came out of that match the winner, but it was not without controversy as The Great Kabuki made his return to World Class Wrestling by somehow tearing his way out from under the ring and spewing that mist into the eyes of Steamboat. Nick Bockwinkel: I'm not going to deny that it happened Marc Lowrance, I saw The Great Kabuki in the ring just like you did, just like all of these people did. But I don't have the slightest idea what he was doing there. Marc Lowrance: You're saying that you weren't behind the interference? Nick Bockwinkel: Of course not! I am a sportsman, and a fighting champion Marc Lowrance. I don't need heathens like The Great Kabuki ripping apart rings to help me fight my battles. Marc Lowrance: If you don't mind my saying so Mr. Bockwinkel, you seemed distraught when you were forced inside the steel cage. You didn't have Big John Studd at ringside to... Big John Studd steps forward and wraps a massive hand around the hand of Lowrance that is holding the microphone and pulls it toward his mouth. Big John Studd: Mr. Bockwinkel said he didn't know anything about it. He'll be answering no further questions. C'mon Nick. Studd shoves Lowrance hard enough that he falls onto his butt, and then puts his hand on Bockwinkel's shoulder as the two of them exit the ring and head for the dressing room. Jim Ross: Hello Everyone, and welcome to AWA World Class Wrestling. I'm Jim Ross, and joining me as always is "Cowboy" Bill Watts. What do you think about what we just saw Cowboy? Bill Watts: Well Jim, it sounded like a load of crap to me. Jim Ross: It certainly didn't sound very convincing did it. Folks, we have quite a night of action lined up for you. The Great Kabuki will be in action later on. Bruiser Brody will be here. A new tag team and a returning tag team will battle it out, and in the main event, Kerry Von Erich will challenge Wayne Ferris, The Honky Tonk Man for the Southwestern Title. But right now, let's head to the ring where Stan Stasiak is set for action. 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Stan Stasiak vs Tugboat Taylor- Taylor has dropped the bleached hair and cut offs for his traditional singlet and dark mullet and is back to using his old name. Everyone pretty much expects Stasiak to run over him, and for the opening minutes of the match, it appears that will be the case as Stan punches away at him. But then Stasiak attempts to slam the huge Taylor, and that ain't happening. Taylor begins to fire back on Stasiak, and soon the two big men are slugging it out. This turns into a battle of who can move who, and neither man wins as they battle to the time limit. Winner: DRAW Bill Watts: A hard fought draw between Stan Stasiak and Tugboat Taylor. You know there is nothing I like more than watching two grown men slug it out. Jim Ross: All the more impressive considering Taylor is just over his bout with rabies! Bill Watts: Ha! Folks, we'll be right back. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone, we are going to jump right back into the action as a new tag team is set to debut. The masked Thunderfoots are looking to make a mark here in World Class, but to do so they will have to get past the returning Batten Twins. 1 Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit -The Thunderfoots (Thunderfoot I/Thunderfoot II) vs The Batten Twins (Brad Batten/Bart Batten)- Both teams looked good in this one as the Battens used some double team work to confound their masked opponents in the opening minutes of the contest, but the Thunderfoots would take the advantage and keep it with some underhanded tactics perpetrated by the larger Thunderfoot I. The end came when Thunderfoot II planted Bart Batten with a big powerslam, then tagged in his partner. II charged Brad and knocked him off the apron, while Thunderfoot I scored a Shoulderbreaker on Bart and covered him for the 1,2,3. Winners: The Thunderfoots Jim Ross: The Thunderfoots pick up the win in their World Class debut. Up next folks, we have the wild man known as Bruiser Brody in action, and I am here to tell you that he is not happy. Bill Watts: Not at all Jim. He had been waiting to get his hands on Big John Studd in singles competition for some time, and then David Schultz interfered and cost him the match. Jim Ross: Then last week Schultz had some choice comments concerning both Brody and Studd, and I can't think either man will take kindly to those. Bill Watts: Here comes Brody. I have a feeling we'll here from him after he ruins this poor kids day! 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -Bruiser Brody vs Jason Martin- As soon as the bell rings Brody nearly takes the kids head off his shoulders with a boot to the face. Brody yanks him up by the hair and lifts him into a bodyslam with one arm. Brody walks him around the ring for a couple of laps, and then plants the kid hard in the center. Brody stomps around for a minute, and then obliterates the kid with a King Kong Knee Drop. Referee Jerry Usher could count to a thousand. Winner: Bruiser Brody Marc Lowrance is waiting for Brody as he exits the ring. Marc Lowrance: Bruiser Brody, your comments on the recent happenings with Big John Studd and David Schultz. Bruiser Brody: My comments are this! John Studd, you and I have unfinished business. You want to throw your weight around and act like you are the only big man here in World Class, but you seem to forget that I'm just as big and a whole lot badder than you are. Schultz, you say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That may be, but you've gone and made yourself an enemy you aren't capable of dealing with. I didn't get these scars on my face, I didn't get the reputation I have from playing games, so anytime you want to fight, I'm not a hard man to find. Brody walks away and lets loose with his trademark "Huss" and the crowd goes wild as the show heads to commercial. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Welcome back to World Class Wrestling. Before the break we heard from Bruiser Brody who seems ready to fight both John Studd and David Schultz. Bill Watts: He'd probably fight them at the same time. Jim Ross: You're probably right. Up next, we are going to have a special interview with the Central States Champion Barry Windham, let's head down to Marc Lowrance for that one. Marc Lowrance is in the ring with Barry Windham who is wearing blue jeans and a button up shirt and has the Central States Title over his shoulder. Marc Lowrance: Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome the reigning Central States Champion, Barry Windham! Thanks for joining me Barry. Barry Windham: Thanks for having me out here Marc. Marc Lowrance: Now Barry, you and Jimmy Garvin have been going at each other for some time here in World Class. More recently we've seen your brother Kendall and Sam Houston fight alongside you, while he has had the likes of John Tatum and Gary Young as partners. Recently they assaulted your brother Kendall rather violently. What can you tell us about that? Barry Windham: Well Marc, I know the footage was shown last week, and as you saw Garvin, Young, and Tatum beat him up real bad. They bloodied him up real good and gave him a pretty bad concussion, and Gary Young actually smashed his head clean through the drivers side window. Kendall got lucky and didn't suffer any life threatening injuries. Marc Lowrance: Then the next night Barry, you took some revenge. Barry Windham: You know Marc, I got into the wrestling business because it's what I've known my whole life. I got into the wrestling business to be a wrestler. I don't want to attack people in parking lots, I don't want to hit people with tire irons. But when you start messing with my family, and you do it in the parking lot, and you do it three on one, well I suppose I'll do anything I have to do to get even Marc Lowrance. Marc Lowrance: I think everyone can certainly understand that Barry. Now, Jimmy Garvin is still telling everyone that will listen that he wants another shot at the Central States Title. He claims that winning the battle royal at The Battle of New Orleans makes him the number one contender. Barry Windham: You know what, I've beaten Garvin each and every time we've stepped into this ring. But if he wants to do it again, I'm not going to back down from a fight. A chorus of boo's erupts as "Hollywood" John Tatum struts his way down to ringside. He enters the ring and stands across from Windham, with Marc Lowrance keeping him safely out of reach. Marc Lowrance: John Tatum, is there something.. John Tatum: There is something you can do for me Marc Lowrance, you can ask this big goof why he hasn't given "Hollywood" John Tatum a shot at that title yet? Marc Lowrance: Barry? Barry Windham: Maybe because earning a title shot involves winning matches and not just being a cocky little pri... John Tatum: HEY NOW!! Marc Lowrance: Gentleman! Gentleman!! Barry Windham: You know what fine, you want a title shot, I'll give you one, but I want something for it. John Tatum: Yeah! What's that? Barry Windham: I ran your buddy Gary Young out of here, so if I beat you, how about you leave too! John Tatum: No Deal! Barry Windham: No title shot. Tatum makes a pouty face and looks like he is contemplating the offer. John Tatum: THIRTY DAYS! Barry Windham: Nah. I give you a title shot, and you lose, I don't see you back in World Class until after Christmas! Tatum throws his hands in the air and stomps around the ring like a crazy person. John Tatum: FINE!!! But I need time to prepare! Two Weeks Windham!! Barry Windham: See you then Johnny Windham smiles as he heads out of the ring, and Tatum looks like he can't decide whether he won the lottery or made the biggest mistake of his life. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Is that official then Bill? Bill Watts: Yes Jim, the Board has signed it for October 2nd. Jim Ross: Folks, it is official. Two weeks from now, Barry Windham will defend the Central States title against "Hollywood" John Tatum, and if John Tatum doesn't win the title he will be forced to leave AWA World Class Wrestling until after Christmas! Bill Watts: After seeing Bockwinkel run multiple people out of here with that stipulation, it's nice to see someone potentially stick their foot in their own mouth! Jim Ross: It should be quite the affair Cowboy. Up next, we have The Great Kabuki returning to singles action. Last week we saw him tear his way out from under the ring and into the cage and cost Ricky Steamboat not only the World Class Title, but his employment here as well. Bill Watts: Bockwinkel claims he has no knowledge of why Kabuki was there, but I find that questionable. Jim Ross: Well Bill, look who is accompanying Kabuki to the ring... Bill Watts: Well, well, well.... I can see things are going to get very interesting around here.. 1 Fall, 10 Minute Time Limit -The Great Kabuki w/Gary Hart vs Mike Reed- After an impressive display of nunchaku handling, Kabuki got down to business, dismantling Reed with martial arts strikes. He worked him over further with a nerve hold, and then turned out his lights with a thrust kick. Winner: The Great Kabuki Marc Lowrance is waiting for Gary Hart and Kabuki Marc Lowrance: Gary Hart, it has been some months since we have seen The Great Kabuki, but it has been even longer since you have been here in World Class Wrestling. Gary Hart: Marc Lowrance, where men like myself and The Great Kabuki choose to tread is no concern of yours. Suffice to say a man like you wouldn't last long in the places we go or in the circles we run. What matters is that we have returned to World Class Wrestling, and we have done so for a reason. Marc Lowrance: and what is that reason? Gary Hart: In good time Marc Lowrance, in good time. For now all you need to know is that The Great Kabuki and I haven't come alone. Next week I shall return with another of my associates. Marc Lowrance: What about Nick Bockwinkel? Why did The Great Kabuki get involved last week? Gary Hart: Nick Bockwinkel? I wouldn't know, I've never met the man. Perhaps you should ask The Great Kabuki. Hart walks away with a snicker as Lowrance puts the microphone in front of Kabuki. After a solid twenty seconds of silence, Kabuki turns and follows Hart. Jim Ross: Kabuki looks as devastating as ever inside the ring, but between he and Gary Hart we got very few answers outside of it. Bill Watts: Hart never reveals his hand before he is ready to play it. Jim Ross: It does appear he has at least one more man in his charge and plans to have him with us next week. Bill Watts: God only knows who that could be. Jim Ross: Fans, let's take a break, and we'll be right back with our main event. -Commercial Break- Jim Ross: Okay, we are back and it is time for the main event of the evening, and it should be a good one! The last time we were here in Dallas was for The Great Texas Round Up. Kerry Von Erich looked to have the match in hand, when he was jumped from behind by The Grappler who had already been eliminated. After that, this Honky Tonk Man made his debut and got the easiest victory of all time to claim the Southwestern Championship. Bill Watts: But he still acted like he ran a danged marathon to win it! Jim Ross: Now Kerry has dispatched The Grappler, and he is looking for a little revenge and a little gold against Wayne Ferris. 1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit -"Honky Tonk Man" Wayne Ferris w/Sunshine vs Kerry Von Erich- AWA Southwestern Heavyweight Title After Ferris made his ridiculous ring entrance that saw him dance around ringside, get a kiss from Sunshine, take off his guitar and sunglasses, and have his ring jacket removed and folded, he got in the ring and began to check out his hair in the reflection on the Southwestern Title. Kerry Von Erich was not happy, and kept trying to get at Ferris, but each time the Honky Tonk Man got behind referee James Beard. Then the bell rang, and Kerry went for a lock up, only for Ferris to side step him and again fluff his hair. Von Erich exploded and went after Ferris who quickly dropped down and rolled out of the ring. Kerry jumped between the ropes, and soon the chase was on around ringside. Ferris was the first back into the ring, and it gave him the jump on Von Erich, as he stomped Kerry when he rolled back into the ring. Ferris stayed on the attack, dropping an elbow onto Von Erich and covering him, but it only got a 1 count. Ferris grabbed a side headlock, but Von Erich shot him into the ropes. The Honky Tonk Man attempted a shoulderblock but Von Erich barely budged. Ferris threw a punch at Kerry, but Kerry blocked it and nailed Ferris with a big right hand. Kerry then threw another and another, and soon was rocking Ferris across the ring and into the ropes. Von Erich whipped Honky Tonk Man across the ring, and took him down with a big dropkick on the rebound. Kerry went over and pulled the fallen Ferris to his feet by the hair, but that seemed to enrage The Honky Tonk Man who shoved Von Erich away and reached up to see how badly his pompadour had been messed up. Kerry wasn't having any part of it and charged at Ferris, catching him with a running dropkick that sent The Honky Tonk Man to the floor. Von Erich took a moment to soak in the cheers of the Sportatorium faithful, and as Referee Beard began to count, Von Erich went to the floor to retrieve his opponent. Winner, by Disqualification: Kerry Von Erich Jim Ross: This Honky Tonk Man just deliberately got himself disqualified! Bill Watts: He knew he was in trouble so he did what he had to do to save the title. Jim Ross: I'm not so sure Bill. I think this weirdo was mad that Von Erich messed up his hair! Bill Watts: Either way, he's lucky he got out of the Sportatorium fast, because these fans are not happy. Jim Ross: Look at that Bill, Kerry Von Erich is a bloody mess! Bill Watts: I can assure you we haven't heard the last of Kerry Von Erich and The Honky Tonk Man! Jim Ross: Alright Folks, that's all we have for this evening. Please join us next week for more World Class Wrestling!

World Class drops Ken Lucas to make room for Plowboy Frazier (I mean, we'd have to drop like 3 Ken's to make room for Frazier, but I digress)

Seriously though... That Funk shit was amazing. Nothing but gold so far. Muraco, Ninja, and The Grapplers is one hell of an 8 man unit. Glad to see the Herders being portrayed dangerously, and Falk as the flag bearer is great. Bundy and Gang double count out is perfect, as I can just see the two big bastards pounding away at each other on the floor. Bruthahood helping The Movement get the win is perfect, and Criminal Trespassing is gonna lead to some fantastic promo's Madril falls short again, I hope he tells us about it in the Fiesta Garden next week! Holy Shit! The Freebirds are gone!!! Hercules is the Southeastern Champion! What the Hell Just Happened!!!! Bullet beats Landel for the title and keeps his mask, the Stable is gonna be pissed!!! Great Shit as Always!!
-
That's it, I officially retire from this project. There is no way that I can top Terry Funk saying "Jive Turkey" on live television.

Awesome, awesome way to debut Curt! Looking forward to the brawl with Blanchard!! I kinda hope that Austin Idol is underestimating Art Crews! I know he probably isn't, but one can hope!! Ayala is a freaking bruiser, but Dibiase is smart. I'll take brains over brawn any day of the week. Hoping to see more of a push for Wrestling 3 with 2 as his manager. I think you have some cool possibilities here. Interested to see what Denny Brown does with his title shot. So many possibilities!! Jayhawks vs Adonis/Murdoch..... Oh Spaldoni, you know the way to a man's heart!! Good Lord! Poor Tio and Tapu! I think they've been beaten up in half the leagues in this thing, but nothing like that!! I hope Cocoa's friends are ready for a fight! Oh man, DJ Peterson vs Gary Young! Two of my favorite 80's dudes going at it! Nice!! I am liking the Mike Shaw push quite a bit. Even in the loss, the fact that Tsuruta who has been pushed as a monster, needed help in beating him, makes Shaw look great. Well Done in getting everyone involved over. Oh my, Lawler and Dundee is going to be some mixture of a war, a blood bath, and a clusterfuck, and I can't wait!!!
