A lot of it was timing issues. Originally Sting was going to take the belt off Flair in Feb of 90. Sting put over Luger at Starcade 89 to set him up for a feud over the title in 90. The injury occurred and that was that.
This is just speculation. Flair and his daughter were booked at Wizard World Austin. The day after the Hogan interview aired against WWE wishes. The Flairs were replaced by Kane and Lana.
I encourage people to turn in a ballot. It's supposed to be fun. Be a voice. We are the Pro Wrestling Only Community. If people have doubts of being qualified no worries everyone has blind spots. If you don't so be it. Don't let I don't think I'm qualified be your factor .
http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32107-midnight-express-vs-magnum-tamr-wrestling-2houston-wrestling-22484/ Thoughts on the infamous loser gets lashed match.
This is where each member of the losing team gets 5 lashes. This is pretty great and is worked differently because of the stip. We open up with a brawl and the baby faces are standing tall. Then the bout slows down. Magnum TA grabs Eaton and tosses him over the top rope. Cornette and Condrey are besides themselves. That is until the over the PA we get the announcement this is a no DQ match. Magnum teases doing it again, but Condrey is on the floor waiting . So TA reverses course and tosses him over the top on the other side. We get a long shine sequence. To make sure we still remember this is no DQ Eaton attacks 2. In a nice payback spot the MX toss TA over the ropes to set up the heat. We see the MX work over TA's arm. The work is methodical, but everything gets over. Wrestling 2 gets a hot tag and is glorious in his role. The finish sees Cornette push 2's feet off the rope for the screw job. The faces take their licking and vow revenge. 4*
I thought the Revolution Pro Uprising show was an easy thumbs up show. The show was real good top to bottom. I thought the 3 way main event was the best match of the night.
This was really good. They cut a good pace. Their was constant movement. Even when in headlocks, they were constantly working it. They even play up some 80's tropes when Grappler hurt his arm on Tiger's head, The Grappler is Len Denton. He carried this, but Tiger was a really game baby face, 3*
Man Reagan seems to have some charisma. He has a nasty looking knee surgery scar. This was a solid underneath match. I liked the Pritchard match better. 2*
This was what it was. I've never been a fan of either man. Johnson is in full boxer gimmick. Brody seemed willing to sell a bit. Johnson's punches aren't really up to snuff for a boxer's gimmick.
I will say Bruce from interviewing you, listening to your commentary, and listening to other interviews. You have an incredible knowledge of wrestling history.
