Just telling it like it is.

He just bodyslammed a 400 plus pound man. I'd celebrate too.

So? Sherri would routinely knock the shit out of Hogan. It would be worse if he let it slide. Steve Austin would of left her in a shallow grave. Which is the point. He involved a creep like Heenan. A man who less than a year before tried to end Andre's career. Who had Bundy break Hogan's ribs. Who two years before had Bundy break Andre's sternum. Who humiliated Andre and raped him of his dignity. That is an issue with WWF management.

Lets look at the big betrayals first. Paul Orndorff: Now lets overlook the fact Orndorff was a creep that tried to help Hogan's arch enemy end his career the previous year. Or that Hogan quite magnanimously teamed with Orndorff after all of that. Hulk Hogan was a very busy man. In addition to being the WWF Champion, he had various commercial and television commitments. All he told him was that he would have to call him back. Hardly a good reason to betray a guy who had tolerated a lot of your crap. As a side note even after all of that Hogan forgave him again. Andre: Andre never once hinted he wanted a title match. Since is it the job of the World Champion to track down challengers. He is the champion you come to him. Hogan was betrayed because Andre went to a creep like Heenan who had tried to destroy both Hulk and Andre over the years. Savage: Hogan was a great friend to the Macho Man. Savage would not have won the title in the first place if not for Hulk Hogan. Did Hogan once ask for a title match? No because he wanted Savage to have his time in the sun. Savage was ate up with jealously. Deep down he knew he did not beat the true WWF Champion to win the belt. Every time Hogan helped him, it ate Savage up just a little bit more. But Savage could never openly face this, so he fabricated a story of Hogan wanting Elisabeth. Now for beating up managers. Exactly at what point were the likes of Heenan, Sherri, Jimmy Hart and Slick these upstanding pillars of society? If given a proper chance they would kill Hogan, rip out his kidneys and leave him in a tub of ice. Hogan was wrong for bashing their skulls in? If anything he was too gentle. There is no defending his actions at the 92 Rumble. You mean the dude who tried to end his career months before?

I think Mike Rotunda was getting heat from Syracuse University for being so identified with the school as a heel so they wanted that nixed. Between that, Rick Steiner turning babyface, and Steve Williams spending more time in Japan, the gimmick pretty well killed itself. Don't think so, Rotunda was still wrestling with the Syracuse colors after the gimmick was killed and he was still a heel. They put Spivey into the mix, they were really hot feuding with both the RW and Steiner, and from nowhere the team just disbands, Williams turning face as he comes back from Japan. In Rotundo's shoot interview he basically said it was nixed from nowhere. The oddest thing is that the Steiners vs Sullivan/Rotunda feud is basically the continuation of Rick vs Varsity, yet they aren't called the Varsity anymore. I do agree Spivey didn't really fit, and was much better as a Skyscrapper. You think it was the current booking team wanting to get rid of one thing from the Dusty era they could easily dismantle?

Didn't Dave give Gene Okerland shit for doing that on the WCW Hotline?

I just mean my basic point is he did not use brute force. He outfoxed his foes. I can buy Rey beating Big Show at this point. But not if he goes in kicks him in the head, hits a splash and pins him in two minutes. Taz most of the time beating guys a lot bigger had to use skill to do it. Its not those Spike Dudley squashes which after the first one or two were dreadful. The guys fat not stupid. He should know to block the nut shot at that point.

Especially since Jay Briscoe is a paragon of virtue. -
In wrestling it is a very big factor. Zack Ryder is not a giant. Even Mighty Wilbur should give Rey a problem for a few minutes until he gets his opening. You didn't see HHH ambush Viscera?

Lots of kids get drunks for dads and they don't get the upside of him being rich and famous.

Reigns that really hurt or devalued a title

I feel the same way. I was a kid and Flair lasting the hour was a huge deal. Was Flair behind Hogan in the pecking order? Yes he was, but no more than Savage or Warrior were. -
My feelings on Flair are this. For over thirty years Flair lived life his way doing what he wanted when he wanted. By all rights he should be dead. He got to live his dream times a 1,000. Most people never get that, So who gives a shit if he is in debt. Anybody loaning him money should know what they are getting into. His kids, wives, friends got to ride that wave for a long fucking time. Hell the wives are still riding it with no risk of crashing. There are a lot worse places to be at 65 than Ric Flair is.

Wrestling adheres to its own reality. The mentality 'Its not real we can do anything" is why it is in the shitter. Rey can't just use eye beams to kill Mark Henry. It has to be logical within the confines of the reality of pro wrestling. If Spider-Man K.O's the Blob and there is no logical (within the confines of their reality) explanation, that is shitty writing. I hated the Spike Dudley shit because it was the same fucking thing every time. Some guy gets kicked in the nuts and hit with the Acid Drop. That happens about the fifth time it comes across as poorly booked bullshit.

Good to see that mentality of "That guy said he did not like something and listed reasons for it is not allowing me to like it." was alive in the long long ago. -
They don't do that for the candidates so why should Ric be any different. But seriously the key word is alleged. People gloss over that word too often.

Someone tried a what chant at the TNA taping last night. Everybody glared at them until they shut up. -
Viscera was rarely squashed, regardless of his push.

Flair said he did steroids regularly til 1990 and stopped.

Had the Hogan series, The Demolition series with Bossman, match with Bam Bam in MSG, really good match with Beefcake in MSG, Vs Owen in MSG, vs Harts with Bossman. -
Paints a really bad picture of his second wife. Its funny in a sad way he is still on the hook to pay her considering she is at least just as responsible for the mess he is in financially.

Wow, I remember when they used to act as if those weekend shows mattered. Yeah the next morning on Action Zone they announced Diesel had won the WWF title as breaking news. -

They said it and stopped half way. Do that enough times it would stop. -
Tony Schiavone and early 90s WCW announcing

Which I think killed the angle. The audience was to busy being annoyed by him to take in what was happening. -

They should at least try my lottery idea first. At least it would thin out their ranks. -
I find a system where Colt Cabana gets to judge the Rock & Roll Express to be broken.
